Went to Office Depot in Kalihi off Dillingham next to Foodland supermarket. Brought in my computer that I purchased from them and the counter lady had no clue how to help customers, she couldn't answer my question and the only thing she said was the computer tech comes in at 5:00 pm and you can come back again? I asked her if he could call me when he gets in and she tells me to write on a piece of paper my name and phone number. Which I did I gave it to her. This was on Saturday 2/7/26 and as of today 2/9/26 no has called? If you buy a computer from Office Depot, don't expect to get any help if your computer goes down, better to shop at Best Buy or Apple at less they have a counter that if you talk to them them can suggest or help you with your computer problem! So sad because we do buy a lot of office equipment and supplies from them and after this experience, need to go elsewhere where they can provide service! read more

This was my original spot to purchase multiple office supplies when I used to work at an office to put together various folders to create an organized personal creation that you can't find and that's where my inspiration was at this Office Depot located in Kalihi "Dilliingham Plaza" to be exact along side Foodland as was surprise that nothing much has really changed at this location. Was a bad thing...not necessarily as this spot is a bit smaller than the Office Max in town I was still searching for a receipt spindle and hoped that maybe this location had it and the nostalgia as I walked in as it all pretty much remained the same but unfortunately browsed around and didn't find it...sigh! The staff here was okay didn't really get a greet but a smile as I passed a gentleman as I circled around and around searching not one asked if I was okay but was out in a few as I didn't find what I needed. This Office Depot is big, clean and didn't have too many people. I wasn't greeted by any associates when I walked in, but they were very helpful during check out. I purchased a few items and the cashier found me a box to carry all my stuff. They sell everything from computers, chairs, pens, agendas to even popcorn. So in my office, we were running low on some office supplies - (copy paper & ink cartridges), and our coworker/normal desinated office supply guy - Teo T. was not doing his job (it's an inside joke, but I hope he reads this review) Lol, so that's how I ended up at the Office Depot in Kalihi. What can I say about my shopping experience at Office Depot? 1. I received extremely helpful, & friendly service! As soon as I walked into the store, I was greeted twice by two separate clerks offering their help (if I needed it). 2. This store in Kalihi is well stocked, and finding what I needed, I was able to get everything on my list. 3. While shopping, I did end up needing some help in finding an office supply item, and upon asking a clerk, the friendly clerk not only told me where the item was, but he actually took me to the asle to where the item was. How's that for 5 star service???!!! 4. It is easy access to get to this Office Depot in Kalihi, as their is a huge parking lot fronting the store. Service was bad at the Dillingham location. I usually go to the Aiea one so I was not used to the unprofessionalism the staff had. They were all anxious to go home by 6pm. The staff made sure no other customers entered the main entrance but mind you it was only 5:30pm. They were rushing me out it was annoying. You go to the Aiea location all staff greets you with a hello or a smile and everyone is willing to help you..... one star for customer service. Returned the next day, was helped by Josie. customer service was great! I was being greeted the minute I entered the store and the employees are super nice. Just a note on their shredding service. It is better to call in advance to check if there's space available in their shredding bins as they get emptied once a week . I was lucky to shred my 3 boxes of documents even the guy did not show up for his weekly service. In addition, you have to put the documents into the shred bins little by little yourself as the opening is not wide at all. Hope this is helpful. read more

Days of the Past Times have changed. Sadly I don't see why I even bother to come here anymore. Store was very quiet when I entered, around 3 employees standing around, but no one greets anymore? This is what I don't get about todays brick and mortars, I can easily just go to amazon or somewhere else and get a better deal than a majority of the products in here. Strip that away and all thats left of what you can get out of walking into these kinda stores is excellent customer service whether it be with the printing stations up front or just help with looking for something you need. I did at 2 loops around the empty store and no one bothered to come and help me. The store was eeriely quiet but had that faint familiar sound, the sound of a dead store. Guess the only reason to come here is if you need something immediately, like a desk or chair. My final loop I came upon a half price bin but carried items I don't really need or want, the prices actually looked like what the price would be if it wasnt half off. Did find a bag of peanuts, no not that kind, see pic. Exited the store, sad but hopefully these kind of places can step up their game, its almost 2020 yo, not 1997. read more

Then too, because I was a teacher, I had the teachers rewards program and got choke point values back and because I shopped there ALL THE DAMN TIME back then, I'd pay under $3 for my items that were valued @ OVER $100 on SALE & OR CLEARANCE. Went to get 2 black and white prints resized. The copy person said it's 25 cents each. The prints needed to be shrunk down 50% and then again at 40%. What can I say, a very weird company. I ordered a desk online. That part worked fine. It said free delivery. Your desk will be delivered between 1pm and 4pm the next day. They came 8:30 am instead and left without calling me. I got a text no one was home for the delivery. So I called and was told we only deliver to the curb. I told them it does not say that on their website. They said they did not understand that statement. I told them just cancel the order and refund. Then later in the day I noticed the desk selling for 2x the price that I paid for it. You can't make this stuff up. Never again. read more

This is for the Office Depot in Kalihi, the one that sits to the left of the Foodland. Savers is at the other end of the shopping center. Popeyes is across the street. If you're coming here for shipping services and need just a little piece of tape, do not come here. They'll charge $1 for a little piece no matter how little. (The customer service lady said it would cost $1 plus tax for me to use 12" of their clear packing tape and no matter how long.) You could also just buy a roll and then use it to tape up your box. Really?! Yes really. Sigh. On a recent trip here, I thought to stop by to drop off my prepaid UPS box. It would be a 1 second drop. Instead, my anticipated short trip turned into 30 minutes! What happened?! Well initially, there was just one person in line ahead of me. The lady who came to service the customer walked over at a snail's pace. While helping the customer who was visibly trying to hurry, she said aloud, "oh it's ok just take your time; don't worry." I think that's nice when no one else is waiting. But when even just one person is waiting: I am totally against that way of thinking. When finally I reach the counter, the customer service lady called herself to do some kind of errand. No warning that she'll be right back. When she returned, she said professionally but kinda dryly, "can I help you?" No "sorry for the wait," no "sorry I needed to do something else first," no "thank you for waiting." I put my box on the counter and asked if I could just drop it off but may I use some of their tape. She said it'll cost a dollar which I paid initially then told her I'd rather use the $1+tax toward purchase of my own roll. She again (professionally yet dryly) looked at me and agreed that she'd give me credit for my immediate future roll-of-tape purchase. Before leaving the counter, note that she didn't bother to help me find a roll or offer to show or direct me to the ones on sale. On my way to the tape aisle, I happened to pass by some on sale on the floor before reaching the rolls of tape aisle. Comparing prices, I chose the one on sale then headed back to the drop off boxes for shipping line. Back in line, now there were two ppl ahead of me. The same customer service lady who was still there seemed to continue to take her time. No mention of "thanks for waiting" and "it'll be just a minute." Nope, she moved confidently slowly and surely. I don't really care that the turtle beat the hare but in this case, the hare would have also beat this lady to the finish line! And the snail?! Don't get me started! Finally I'm at the counter. I've already got my box taped (the roll of tape on sale comes with a tape cutter). Counter lady looks at me, takes the roll, takes my receipt to credit me the $1+tax I paid and charges me for the remainder cost of the roll. When I told her okay, now I'll give you back the 12", she took one look at me and with that wonderful amazing professional yet dry look on her face, waved me away. Wow, what helpful, pleasant customer service. Not! :/ I looked at my watch. It was 30 minutes before I finally left! To drop off a small, pre-paid box that just needed 12" of packing tape!? Next time on my way back in to town from Ewa side, I'm just going to Aloha Ship and Pack in Waimalu Shopping Center where Kathy A. says (in her recent review for that place) they were so helpful in helping her figure out which USPS box size to choose, helped stuff her items into that box, and even helped her tape up the box before sending it off! Point is: (1) I am a loyal customer despite Fisher Hawaii being one of my most fav office supplies stores. I shop at these stores periodically bc hey, (a) they've often got some really great deals :D, (b) have unique items not found at the other office supplies stores, and (c) I've even got a rewards card! :D (2) It's not like I asked to use very much tape. How many stars would you give? 5 stars - for (1) having the tape I needed on sale while I was there, (2) for letting me keep the 12" of tape, and (3) for getting my box to it's destination. I found myself here today to do printing after a disagreement I had with my printer at home. Yup technology and I have a mutual disrespect for one another! The half an hour that I spent here today was the most trying 30 minutes of my day as the security alarm to a product in the store was triggered five times while I waited to get my printing processed. High pitched wailing is not how I want to cap my day after work and was equivalent to nails on a chalk board for me! The assistant manager that was processing my print job had to stop my request twice to run to the aisles to turn off the alarm. Other than the incessant alarm wailing, the renovation they did turned out well, the store is more user friendly and you can actually locate items very easily. This location also moves their check out line very quickly and they open up more registers to process everyone faster. As always the printing job I ordered turned out well and I will say that I've used them since high school and they have never messed up a job. The alarm thing is new though. After weeks looking online for a particular desk, the desk gods answered the call. Office Depot had the desk I was looking for. I race to place the order online with fear of a faster clicker toped with a super fast 5G signal beating me to the punch. At last, the desk was secured! I take my time to pick up the desk. When I get arrive I mask up and head in. The staff at the Aiea branch greet me with a simple "hello, how can I assist you?" I reply with, "here to pick up this elusive desk that somehow everyone wants, and your the only store in the great lands have". She, chuckles and ask for the conformation email. The staff does a quick verification and makes the call. A gentlemen from the back room appears with this hunk of a box. He assists me in loading up this box and it over, Mission complete!! Be careful if you need a logo or banner created. If they create a file they will charge you an additional $25.00 for changes prior to approval. So if they make a mistake and don't follow your original instructions they will charge you to fix prior to final approval. Better off hiring someone on freelance to creat logo's or banners. Bought a printer that was on sale and the store clerk conveniently got a "new" one from the back and loaded it into my car. Get home and realize it was repacked and sealed. Open it up and half the packing material is missing. Hook it up and the kind people who previously bought and returned it left the toners empty. Went to return it the next day and got the most unfriendly cashier. I asked about a replacement, she never bothered to check the computer and said that was the last one. How about other stores? It seems a little smaller then other Office Depots I've been to. Still they always seem to have whatever supplies I need on hand. The few times I've been there, I've been approached by employees asking if I needed assistance. I normally don't but still it was nice. The lines don't seem any worse then other stores. I do have to say on occasion some of the younger employees look & act like that they don't want to be there. I was thoroughly impressed by the excellent service I got here. I was running errands and one of my stops was to get some office supplies. Let me tell you that I was dress in basketball shirt with a 50 cap and a hoodie. I was looking for a date stamp and the employee Lianna took me there and even suggested the once that had better value. There was a couple guys that helped me as well while looking around(sorry didn't get your names). One was wearing glasses and had bleached hair and the other one was a haole guy with a beard. I haven't been here for several years - along with CompUSA - which is no longer with us. Anyway, it was basically your self service. I didn't really need the sales people's help, since I knew what I was looking for, even if it took me a bit mor time to do so, I didn't need people to baby me. The location is kinda small, for the amount of merchandise they are carrying. The staff is plesant and the process of gettting in and out are good. Parking is plenty if you go during non peak times. This place has prettty much everything you need for office supplies and electronics. Unless you need Best Buy, this place is good. read more

I came to this location after the non existence service by the cashier at the Ala Moana Blvd. location. I explained to one of the staff at this Kalihi location. She said one does not need to reorganize the folders since one is just scanning. She was helpful and got some more plastic folders for me from the back. Items are arranged differently at this location but the service is 100% better. It was just a bit disappointing one of the items I had at the other location was sold out. I even went on line and typed in a chat box about my experience at the Ala Moana location and was waiting for more than 30 minutes in the que before I was first in line then I was sent a message no agent is available and was cut off......So the cashier at the Ala Moana location was deliberately not ringing up my items. She made up the excuse that she has to rearrange the folders and needed my permission before proceeding. The cashier at the Dillingham - Kalihi location just scanned the folders. So looks like buyer or customer beware. read more
