Every time I shop here, something bad happens. Called to check stock & price on some Avery labels. The person on the other end put me on hold for 10 minutes, then I was disconnected. When I called back another person answered and the original sales person could not be located. Came in to pick up the item and also bought a little utility knife. Cost $6, would be $1 at the dollar store, but whatever. Got it home and the blade lock doesn't work. Now I need to go back to return it. Last time I needed to return something here it was a giant headache, Maybe this is my last time at this store. read more

Their printing department is the slowest working group of people you will ever meet. Avoid them at all costs. Always make me late to school.

If you're in a rush this is definitely not the place to go for printing. There is almost always a line, even when they aren't particularly busy. The worst is the management who constantly walk by, notice the amount of customers, and then repeatedly yell into their walkies for someone to come up to the front to help -- meanwhile they do absolutely nothing. It's so lazy of the managers to just stand there and watch, unprofessional to yell at their staff in front of customers, and rude to ignore their one good employee who's drowning in orders. read more

I went in to ship some things out. I had about 5 packages and needed to buy envelopes for them. Their supply was very limited and expensive because I couldn't buy individual boxes. Then to top it off the customer service was horrible especially when they had plenty of workers on the floor but none appeared to help anyone. When it was finally my turn to pay for shipping I was unaware I had to fill some info out on their computer for shipping. I was then told I would have to pay more than 5 dollars for regular shipping because I wasn't asking for anything fancy for an envelope with a bow inside. After being there for over an hour I was annoyed and just decided to ship it at a later date when I had time to go to the post office for less than 2 dollars each package. This last time i went in they said they would need 24 hrs to print some images. There were only about 10 of them. The girl at the counter said i would get a call when they are done. When I did not receive the call, I called them. They said they had no record of my order. Even though I had left images of the photos and a filled out order form. I won't use this company again. I just can't trust them. Lord forbid i actually needed something more important done here. I did give an extra star because the person i spoke to the next day, did take the time to check and return my phone call to confirm they had no record of my order, and to apologize for it. read more

Worst service ever!!! I came looking for an Office Depot brand product and I was told by three employees that they didn't carry it. I finally went on my phone to check which Office Depot had this particular product in stock... Low and behold it showed it was available here, so I went back in and asked a cashier. She checked the computer and confirmed that they had six in stock. I asked her where I could find it and she replied, "I don't know... The computer says we have six, but I wouldn't know where to find them." She then proceeded to say, "it's paper right, well all our paper is over there." So after already wasting more time than I wanted too, they left me to go find the damn product on my own without any assistance. I know it's tough times and everybody needs a job, but shit... Either put on a smile and be competent at your job, get another one, or don't work at all... Smh... read more

I went to this office Depot to exchange an exchange (long story, my review is on the studio city location, with 1star) I got from the location on ventura! The manager here, Coronado at the Burbank location is truly a gem! A great asset to the company and so knowledgeable about company policies! I will definitely only go to this location, and his sales associate Jessica was a sweetheart, and dealt with my fury so calmly, and in such a professional manner! Up until this point, I haven't really had an issue with this location. The service has been fine, as has the selection. Nothing special. Just fine. However, I recently came by to pick up a few things and found the parking lot swarming with cars and people...just everywhere. This store is located right by Burbank High, and apparently their parking lot is used for pick up/drop off of students. I couldn't find a space and it took quite a while just to circle the lot to get out of there. I have to say, this really put me off coming back here as it seems like the customers' convenience is not valued. I bought my supplies elsewhere. read more

If I was able to give 0 star I would. I purchased a monitor during Covid time and had to return it. I had not opened the box and never used it. I went back to store 4 times and every time they had some issues. First time the system was down, second time manager was not available, third time they closed store earlier than announced time. Finally I went today to rerun it. Even though it was never opened the manager Christy gave me hard time and refused to return it. She said there is a store policy that they can not return this item. During my purchase I asked 100 times if this item is returnable and the associate who was helping me ensured me that I can return it when governor announces that retails are open for public. I went to the la crascenta store and they return it with no questions asked. That lady was wasting my time, and giving false information. Same thing happened to my cousin who had purchased another item. They refused to take her return, but she was able to return her never used item in another store. read more

I went in to get a fax sent. I brought my own cover sheet that I was required to send by the recipient. The Office Depot attendant said that they required I use an Office Max cover sheet. Which caused me to have to pay a dollar more for an extra page because I already had a cover sheet. I wasn't happy about it, but I had to get it sent. Oh well. read more

Going there to buy your office supplies without any employee/staff assistance is great. BUT.. if you want to go there to get your fax, photocopying, mailing packages... GOOD LUCK!! I was there to get a few packages send. They offer 25% off on all mailing service/postage. There was 2 staff TALKING while I stand there waiting and waiting for them to help me. After about 15 mins, one of them came over to help me.. told me her computer is slow and then proceed to tell me to fill out the information myself while she goes back to talking to her friend again. Great... The system.. it is HORRIBLE.. I feel like I keep going in a loop. After I entered all the information in like she asks me to.. I had to wait yet ANOTHER 15 mins. for her to come back and help me. She then give me a quote that I already found out while having access to their computer while I was entering my info in. Great.. thanks.. they want $68 for a tiny little package to be shipped to Canada!!! You kidding me?!?! I can send a 2 lb. BOX of stuff to Canada from the UPS store for about $25!!! No way!! Even with that 25% off, they still cost too damn much!! Especially since we are talking about a tiny little package. She said that's the only option. I couldn't even send it by USPS. All that took 45 mins!!!!!!!!! And there was NO ONE else that need help while I was there!! OMG! Customer service really suck here!! I end up going to US Postal. My tiny package.. one cost me only $5 and the other one was $2.38!! Even The UPS Store cost only about $18 for the same package! I'll return here to buy my supplies.. if you know what you want and don't want anyone hassle you. This place is great.. but if you need staff assistance.. go elsewhere. read more

Not my normal Office Depot frequent, but needed a product immediately so had to stop here. When you receive poor service it is a great reminder for me to review good service so another Office Depot review will be coming from my regular store. Back to this store, employees were not very helpful and was not addressed at any point during my shopping. When I had a question I had to search for someone to help me. I asked for what I was looking for and was told they don't carry it. I asked if he was sure because I normally buy them at another location. He did not even walk me to the area but instead just pointed. I went to check out and was a long line. They had 3 registers open so that was a relief. Corando rang me up and recovered the whole visit. He was friendly and easy going. He apologized for the wait and made small talk during the transaction. I would visit again based on his interaction. The store was clean and stocked. They have all you need to run a business, complete school work or buy snacks. I reccommend you NOT coming here. Very limited supply. I think they are slowly going out of business... So I went online to make sure the item I was looking for was indeed in stock and online it said they had 5 in stock. I walk into the store and notice there aren't any on the floor. I ask a worker and he tells me to come back on Monday, hence this is my third time back looking for the same item. I explained to him my situation and all he could say is it says we have five in stock because we have five coming in on Monday... I told him how am I supposed to know that ? He seemed to not care, which is fine but at least try to help me locate where I can find the item I'm looking for. I asked him if he could contact the nearest store and see if they had the item I was looking for, He said I had to do that myself. I was very disappointed. 1. online stock was incorrect I drove to the store for no reason basically. 2. Some of the most incompetent people work in Burbank Office Depot, and the problem starts with the company itself. Back 6-7 months ago, I wanted to buy a computer with bigger memory as my old computer with only 4 GB memory was freezing. I visited this store 3 times to buy an "all in on HP pc" On their website the pc memory definition was not clear: it said something like "8 intel- 16 GB memory" So I asked the employee, what does this mean? Is it 8 or 16? He said it is 8, and with added 8 Intel it becomes 16 GB memory. I asked: Are you sure? He called the manager. She said it is 16, and with added 8 Intel, it can become 24GB memory. I paid about $ 900, only to find out a month later ( as my computer froze again) that its memory is only 8!!! Imagine my frustration. I didn't bother to take my pc back to them and argue with them. Last week I went to buy 2 packs of carbonless receipt, the shelf was empty, so I ordered in the store and was told I can pick it up next week. Today I went to pick them out, only to be told, the order has been cancelled!! When I Wanted to find out why, the guy who took my order last week, looked at the receipt and told me, it is cancelled because you didn't pay last week! Neither he or the cashier ever told me I had to pay in advance! This time I had enough and yelled and insulted him for their pure incompetence. I went back to the shelf to find out whether they have ordered any for their own store , for other customers, and the shelf was still empty, and God knows how long it has been empty. Next time you visit this crappy store, look at the vast empty spaces in parking lot, no wonder few people bother to shop from this store. read more
