Hey it's a Harbor Freight...So i've been looking for an item around. Burbank didn't have it but said NHollywood had it So I hop my old handicapped ass back into my car and drove up to Lankershim. I park at the handicapped parking and limped in. It was a trailer ramp so i had to go in the back and pull a tag off the wall. Once we were sure there was inventory the checker called to someone to brink it. I finished paying and my item was there. Checker asked guy to help me out. Well the guy carried it out the door as i went to my vehicle. I looked back and he said, "back up" REALLY? he wanted me to back t up to him? I limped over 20' grabbed it and carried to my vehicle. What a worthless lazy employee. Harbor freight!!! This will burn into my memory what a shitty business you run. read more

Staff here are very friendly and ready to answer any questions. Would definitely recommend them.

This is honestly the best Harbor Freight in the Valley. They are fast when not helping braindead customers. The store is often well maintained. They often have promotional coupons at the ready, at the register during parking lot sales. The Burbank location is always trying to nickel and dime and scam their customers. Their 2 associates were female and helped me load a motorcycle lift. Reminded me of that "Anything you can do, I can do better." commercial. Awesome staff! FYI: I helped load the motorcycle lift with 1 of the 2 workers. BTW. I'm not one of those prime aged males with supposed back problems. If you worked retail ever, IYKYK. read more

I love harbor freight, so many perks with their membership and discounts. $350 for Yukon tool boxes and sometimes $50 discount additionally. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, it's local and close by. They don't always have it in stock so make sure you preorder or ask. read more

The manager Ray went above and beyond for an issue I had. I appreciate the customer service. Will definitely be back.

So I bought a deal item; battery & charger for 89 and get a free tool. I did plus added another item at 49. Took bags to car trunk when I check the next day no charger. I return, wait as they "review" video and I am told they are right (wow) and I did take charger. Why would I lie? Anyway taking the items I bought for a refund and never going to deal with this place. Moral is no matter how friendly they are its a business where the customer is not always right P.S. check the other one star reviews read more

The customer service at this location definitely needs to improve. There is no one really on the floor that wants to help and the girl assistant manager with glasses doesn't really want to help the customers. I couldn't return 3 small items that were never opened while I had the receipt in my hand. The manager came to the register right away to prevent me from returning those items for whatever reason but that's not acceptable at all. The customers aren't really valued here. read more

I come here to buy tools and supplies for a reasonable price. The place is organized and the sales staff are helpful and friendly. read more

Well again, with another disappointment, I shop at Harbor freight frequently for the past let's say 15 years in North Hollywood, so I've given them quite a bit of my business. I also shop at the Sepulveda store but North Hollywood is convenient because it's next-door to me , I purchased some thing that did not fit my grinder went back without a receipt. Supposedly they could not find it. They called the supposed called Manager named Blanca the bully of Harbor freight. She came out with an attitude to tell me she will not honor my $10 exchange for a $35 purchase associate told me go to A different store managers there are a little more lenient, so I Asked the Manager you want me to drive to Sepulveda store and you're not willing to honor the same thing at your store when I purchased it here her answer was no! She bothered me so bad , and got under my skin with her attitude that I gave her a few choice words . I went to my car I had purchased $150 sandblaster so I decided I no longer want to do business with these people, so I said Take back your product I don't want your items she said I will not honor your return you need to leave. This is the kind of service you get from a youngster with a power trip ! As a business owner, I will be ashamed to have these people working for me, So North Hollywood store unless I get a call from district office, I will not be doing any more business there! Thank you hope no one else gets disrespected that way. read more

In the middle of a job our cordless hammer drill went out so needed a new one. I called the North Hollywood location and the sales person (I think his name was Jose) told me that he showed one in their system. I asked him to hold it for me and he said yes so I gave him my name to hold it. A few minutes later I got a call on my phone and it was actually him letting me know that when he went to grab it off the shelf, it was actually an incomplete item and was missing some of the components. What I appreciate the most is that he actually went through the trouble of tracking down my phone number from their caller ID, because I only gave him my name and not my number when I spoke with him. And then called me to let me know so that I didn't waste a drive over there. That's exactly the type of customer service that should be the "normal" and not a special circumstance, great job management in creating the business culture for employees to go a little bit further for the customer service. read more

The store was fully stocked. They had disposable face mask. It's the best deal I've seen in town so far. It wasn't too crowded but the check line was long. read more

Probably worst customer service in the valley in any retail establishment i been to. not from an employee, but from the manager Maria very rude unprofessional. She going act rude to customers maybe she shouldnt working retail. She should be happy that she has a manager position, at best she can be a room cleaner at a motel. I feel bad for the staff and customers that have to deal with a manager like this. read more

Came here to get electric cables to jump my car when the battery dies and was assisted by April and cecy who were so on top of it and really knew their stuff. April told me where to find the product in the store, explained the sale prices to me, explained how the product works which was helpful and went over coupons with me. Cecy rang me up, helped me create an account, and explained the return policy to me. I was really impressed with how much knowledge they had about the product. Thank you for making this a seamless and quick experience! read more

The manager here sucks and is sexist. I had an interview not so long ago. Everything was going smoothly until I brought up that I go to school and have a baby. Then he says "if you choose the path to go to school or be a mother, let us know so we can cut ties" I was so damn shocked I didn't say anything in return. I'm a new mom and have never experienced bs like that. He wanted people that have no lives and just work 24/7. And I can guarantee 100% that he would not tell a father that. read more

I want a business like this to succeed but this one is a poster child for why Amazon is so popular. I have visited this particular location on several occasions and it's always the same. There's never anyone on the floor to help if one has a question and if you do find what you went there for there's always a line and usually one checkout open. Sorry guys there is a pattern and yours will lead to a "sorry we're closed" sign if someone doesn't stop asking " are you on our mailing list" and instead ask, how was you shopping experience today? or, did you find what you came here for? read more

Normally like this place but today broke that for me Didn't wanna let my 4yr old use the restroom cuz they just cleaned it Also they don't do warranty deals here read more

I'm always impressed by the staff at this store. They are always helpful and friendly. The store is well stocked and I appreciate that they are taking the Covid crisis seriously - everyone has masks and there is someone at the door making sure the customers do to. I recently ordered two, large, heavy cabinets and they arrived at the store earlier than I expected. They very graciously held them for me till I was able to pick them up. And when I did pick them up they helped me out to the car and made sure everything fit. read more

Pretty cheap but low quality. Should be called China Freight. I will stick with American made.

Harbor Freight tools are, well, Harbor Freight tools so I'm not going to review them. Besides, tool quality should be posted on the corporate page (is there one?) and not the individual store. This review has to do with the terrible service I received. My first mistake was going to the Lankershim store with a gift card. The cashier didn't know what to do, fumbled around, said it came up $0, and then claimed I had to contact corporate. Now bear in mind, this was a corporate gift card sent to me as settlement for a major lawsuit they lost regarding fraudulent pricing practices. I ended up paying cash for my items because I needed them and didn't want to make a long trip back. Once home I jumped online and found that the card was fully funded. A few weeks later I returned to buy some more tools but had them check the card before shopping. Everything checked out so I picked up the items I needed and cashed out the card. It wasn't until I got home that I discovered that the cashier had cheated me out of $8. I was suppose to get the coupon price on two identical items (it was a limit of 2) and a 20% discount on a non-coupon item. Instead, she applied the 20% discount to the full price of one of the coupon items (thus cheating me out of discount on the non-coupon item). I sent off a complaint to corporate explaining what happened and they just washed their hands of it. They said the corporate complaint line is for filling complaints about their website only. Any problem with billing has to be taken up with the store. So now they expect me to get in my car and drive across town to resolve an $8 issue that they created. Great move, HF, make the customer jump through hoops to resolve an issue you and your employee created. Maybe it's time for another lawsuit. read more

Rude female employee, tried to ask a question and she walks off saying" I'm off and don't have time for you" I said its a quick one and her response was " nope, go find someone else" I just wanted to take my son to the bathroom. In the amount of time for her rude response she could have told me where it was.... this is the second time having a bad experience here and won't be back. The one in Burbank is way better and the staff is way nicer! read more

This is a clean and well kept store. Say what you wish about the tool quality but I am a fan of HFT because their stuff is good enough to get the job done. Parking is ample. My only critique is they need to have more checkout registers open. The people are friendly and you can tell they went through some customer service training because they recite little customer oriented phrases when you enter and when you leave. There are many tools at Harbor Freight but I'm glad to say the staff are not one of them. read more

I just wanted to return an item that wasn't used and they refuse claiming it has been used. Alright, going to Home Depot then.

Need a tool? Don't have a lot of cash to pay for it? This is your place. Harbor freight is a discount tool supplier. They have everything from large tools, All the way down to the smallest screwdriver, and usually for a fraction of the price of a Home Depot type store. Look for their parking lot sales, there is one this coming weekend, for some very good deals. You can apply to get on their mailing list to receive coupons and notices of even deeper discounts. The drawback for me today was the excessive long line, the manager did attempt to service us quickly though. read more

Had a great experience. All the staff were friendly and very informative. Really can't say anything bad.

Harbor freight tools store is a great store. There are a lot of tools and stuff like that. Customer service is below zero especially if you get served be Jocylin. I like Harbor Freight, the one star is because of the following experience. Their basic hand tools suck....total waste of money regardless of how cheap they are. However, their bigger tools I would buy. They also have things, as in a wood floor nailer...which Hime Depot & Lowe's do not have. I went to the Store on Lankershim, the staff does not know their inventory, or what the blades, bits, etc their tools use. The employees didn't know where or what the blade I needed was. Unable to help the employees just walked away and did something else. When I tracked the employee down and ask "Are you done helping me?" They said they would call someone.....that never happened. I found another employee who knew the store slightly better. Maybe some classes on inventory, what tools and replaceable parts go together. And most of all How To Deal With A Customer. Don't walk away if you don't know the answer!!!!! read more

Mixed Review. Harbor Freight Tools is great for merchandise and lousy for customer service by Fat Chicks. Keep in mind these power tools are cheap, but won't last long in heavy use. The power tools have lower end parts and motors. The "Duty Cycle" which is the on versus off time is greatly reduced. Don't use these tools in construction without an exchange warranty. The bottom line is that the tools will work if you baby them. Check them often for overheating during use. Don't use heavy loading or you will see smoke. The store is great for cheap disposable products like bungees, tarps, flashlights, which are sometimes even free on a "super sale". Some items are very tempting like sandpaper and rechargeable batteries. This is crap, leave it. Use judgement. The game here is compromise. You are paying much less for everything that you will be replacing much sooner. Don't complain if it breaks in two years. I could complain about the customer service, but what do you expect. This is the "McDonald's" of hardware stores. Of course the employees are ignorant. And FAT. What I hate the most is the dialog at the cash register. Each customer gets pitched when checking out. This makes the wait so much longer. Should you shop here? Absolutely. But don't expect to be aroused by the female cashiers. Thanks for reading Goose Review. read more

This hardware store appears to have every tool any man would need and all sorts of things for home improvement. It's a no nonsense, no frills kind of place. Upon checkout, our cashier, Alton, was among the friendliest and most helpful of service people we have encountered.
