They will guide you through the a-la-carte screws, nails, nuts, and bolts with expertness, making sure that the style, strength, and size of the hardware fits your project's needs. The prices for most items are competitive with big box stores-- items like PVC pipe, wood filler, and hardware are cheaper at Altadena Hardware in a side-by-side comparison to big box stores. If you purchase materials like wood or pipe, they can cut it for you for transport! The selection of paint, hardware, garden supplies, light bulbs, power tools, adhesives, and most other typical household hardware needs are excellent. Based on size, they don't stock as much lumber or appliances as big box stores. Very helpful -- they do cartridge exchange for Soda Stream!! And have many options of Soda Stream flavorings. They also sell local honey up at the cash register! Altadena Hardware is my first choice for hardware needs!

It felt like Halloween vomited all over the front wing of their warehouse in September. There was a huge selection of animatronics and a little more inventory this year than last, I think. There were ghosts and ghouls, cackling witches, bones, and headstones. And out back in the garden section decent-sized carving pumpkins are $6+. You'll also find seasonal fall foliage, plants, and Dias de Los Muertos faves like marigolds and poinsettias since Christmas is now dueling for space. I guess that's why Home Depot decided to put on a huge sale earlier this week. Now lots of scary props are 50% off. That's a great deal on some cool looking creeps and moving monsters. Check online for availability too. BUILDING MATERIALS I prefer to shop this Home Depot since it's usually stocked really well and I can manage to get in/out pretty quickly on my current home renovating tasks. Also, they've got all the electrical plugs and doo-hickeys to make putting on the show of lights a little easier. For the more serious task in the past, the Cypress Park location offered me a better selection of products that I needed. But it seems that may have been project-specific as I always find paint, plaster, concrete, sand, rocks, and all kinds of plants here. And the store is kept nice and tidy ... well, except for bones here or a puddle of blood there to set the Halloween scene ;)
