Horrible Experience Service from Melissa was non existent as she acted annoyed with our presence. She was impatient with our drink order and food order, it wasn't even busy. It was as if she didn't want to be there. She straight had a shitty scowl on her face from start to finish. The Bald Manager brought the food, which one of the dishes was going to shared by two in our party. This clearly was not anticipated by him meaning it wasn't communicated by Melissa or he didn't care to look at the ticket. He kindly offered to bring an extra plate but it never arrived. My wife had to go to the kitchen to get one after 5 min of waiting. As my wife came back with the extra plate the bald manager (didn't catch him name) followed her with his eyes focused on her butt as he just walked past us and no acknowledgment of his forgetting to bring the essential plate. Food was lukewarm at best and no presentation effort whatsoever was taken into consideration from the kitchen. Infact all the asparagus tips were missing on my dish as the veggies looked just tossed into the other food. As an Oside local who has been coming here for almost 2 decades it saddened me to have this aweful experience. This location hosts the Marine Executive Association meetings the third Tue of each month and the staff treats everyone so well for this event. My family and I like visiting this location as well. It's our go to in Oceanside. Pro tip, clam chowder is a great starter. Large bar is perfect for happy hours as well. I expected the breading of course but there was no shrimp!! .. I also ordered the French dip and it was so gross! We got a nice table with beautiful harbor views, saw birds and a seal while eating. Service was nice, a bit slower (they kept appologizing), but it was OK for us, we wanted to enjoy the meal and the nice sunny day out. You do have to ask for the HH menu, they just bring the regular one. We got 2 Mai Tai-s ($7 each), pretty strong, nice drinks! And started with their clam chowder cup, delicious! We continued with their Calamari Tempura (the breading is different, softer), bigger pieces which I'd reccommend, it comes with an aioli sauce and a cocktail one and a portion of their Fried Zucchini, nice and crisp. Not healthy food, but fun and delicious! Had to get one more Mai Tai to share for an anniversary celebration since it was that good! Extensive HH menu, prices from $6-$9.I would try other dishes (the calamari and the clam chowder are popular with everyone) since everything that people around us ordered looked good. The only thing this place has going for it is the view and location. The food and drinks are low quality and expensive. You really are just paying for the property tax on the location to keep this place in business. The Margarita was sickeningly sweet, tasted like a cheap pre-mixed cocktail with no tequila flavor. Service gave us the cold shoulder and couldn't be bothered to make a second visit, appeared physically annoyed when requesting a glass of water to wash down the syrup sweet "margarita". So many good restaurants in Oceanside these days, no reason to pick the Oceanside Broiler over any of them.
