Washing machine broke at my apartment, so I had to go and do a few loads. I've been by this place before. Elizabeth opened the door just before 7 AM on a weekday. She was very polite, professional, and walked me through the process. Basically, you purchase a prepaid card to rate the machines. Really great customer service! We were greeted by a worker who showed us the ins and outs of the place. It's a coinless laundromat so they have a card system set-up where you'll load money onto a card and use that. They offer special cards for military members that give them discounts on the weekends. Otherwise everyone gets a normal card that also does a special discount of its own. Overall the facility was clean, spacious, and the washing/dryer machines were quick and efficient. I am really pleased with this place. I've used the regular (self wash) and drop-off services. I dropped off 3 bags and they were clean, folded well and condensed into 2 bags, ready the next day. Cost was very reasonable. I've used many a wash-n-fold service on the East Coast so it made me happy to find one in Oceanside and I will definitely use it again! This place is modern and CLEAN. The machines are pretty new and ALL in working order. This is better than so many of the places with mismatched, broke-down washer and dryers and no staff. Oceana has some really active, friendly staff who greet you and ask if you have questions or need help when they see you. They aren't hiding in the back room, hoping no one bothers them! Hands down the best customer service for a laundry service. Because i'm a horrible adult, i was too lazy to drop my clothes off at the laundry service i use in vegas. so i simply drove down to san diego for the weekend, packed with only dirty clothing. after spending the day roaming around with a friend, i remember that oceanside is not vegas, and i really had to doubt that they would wash my unmentionables at any hour. AND GOD FORBID I HAVE TO DO MY OWN LAUNDRY. under pressure for time, and absolutely DREADING the idea of having to spend more than 8 minutes taking care of my own things like a real adult would do, i desperately began searching for a laundry service. there was ONE by my friends house where i was staying. of course, there was no attendant on site, but LUCKY for me, a little old lady was doing her own laundry (she was an excellent adult) and told me about this new place that was up the street. When i got there they told me they usually don't take laundry drop offs so late in the day, but the fella behind the counter said he would have it taken care of an they would call me when it's ready. I COULD HAVE KISSED HIM. BUT THE SERVICE GETS BETTER. i missed 2 phone calls (i'm sure great adults answer their phones, i wait for the text message). but then i realized it was probably the laundromat, so i called it back. SHE WAS CALLING JUST TO ASK IF I WAS ALLERGIC TO FABRIC SOFTENER BECAUSE THERE WAS STILL DOG HAIR ON MY CLOTHING AND SHE WANTED TO REWASH EVERYTHING TO MAKE SURE IT WAS ALL TAKEN OUT. i was FLOORED. hand downs the greatest experience i've ever had with laundry service. (also, for those of you who know how to wash, dry and fold your own clothes properly, their washers and dryers look like they're from the future, they use reloadable cards over stupid quarters and they have a vending machine full of actual detergents, softners, etc that aren't those stupid little boxes of powdered crap). my monthly visit to san diego will be exclusively stocked with dirty drawers JUST SO i can go back. read more

This is my second time here because the community laundry rooms where I live, suck! I really like how this place is always super clean! The staff is always friendly and willing to help you out. The washers and dryers are top notch and constantly in working order. There are no weird smells, spills, or any gross stuff. The place is pretty spacious! Takes cards and cash. The best part is the washers and dryers are quick washing and drying. The place where I live easily takes over an hour and here about 30 mins for a one load job. I have had my laundry done here by the drop off service and was always a little nervous about having someone else wash my clothes. Multiple times, always great service. Even better, the one time that was one small hiccup the owner personally handled the issue the same day I emailed him and made sure I was 100% happy. I could seriously marry Rosa.. I brought her over 50lbs of laundry (over due, i know) for the FIRST time ever in my life trying out not only a laundry mat but, a WASH N FOLD option as well.. SHE DID NOT UPSET! She offered to let me provide my own detergent to save $. I requested wash n fold with no deadline expecting that it may be next day by 5 pm (as it says on their sign) I dropped it off on a sunday afternoon and she finished all my clothes in 4 hours! She also hung the delicates for $1 more. $1? REALLY? Blouses, dresses and hang dry items. She is THE BEST! When I got the call I was so surprised and went to pick up. Right now I'm on the verge of homelessness, living in a dumpy apartment, dilapidated and in disrepair, surrounded by homeless people and the occasional smoker. So, this review is going to be biased, I have nothing against the establishment or employees there; they are wonderful, hardworking employees, I've spoken with several of them, my only gripe is I cannot afford to pay over a dollar per laundry load. I'm not sure how much laundry is suppose to cost, but I would rather wash my clothes in the shower, if I need to pay over two or three dollars for a load of laundry and cannot afford to even house myself, get my car out of impound, get my license unsuspended, or feed myself without relying on others. Yes, I'm trying to work (and am working currently), but with only a GED, limited means of transportation, a felony, and a homeless living situation, it seems I'm living in the stone ages trying to take public transportation; while begging for jobs, money, and stability, as people are too busy or too "caring"(tough to help me. If I was rich and doing well for myself, I would probably rate this place a four, even five star establishment, but for the poor man, I see no reason to go here, other than throwing your money down the drain; as we waste millions of gallons of toilet water to transport our fecal matter and urine. read more

Been going here for seven years and I've never once had a problem. However, today one of the two-load machines I had my laundry in kept spinning and was stuck on one minute. I waited more than a minute and it stopped, and then started spinning in the other direction. I asked some older guy if he could help me with this machine. He curtly asked how long it was spinning. I said over two minutes and he told me that it was centering itself, and then kept on walking. Six minutes later, I asked another staff member if that was normal, and of course it wasn't. She got it fixed in no time. Found out he's the new owner. Five stars for the service of everyone that works there, but him. My experience is limited to their drop-off laundry service: Let's say you're on vacation in southern California when a snow storm closes your home airport and you're running low on clothes. Do you spend a few hours of your precious extended holiday in a DIY laundromat? The short answer is hell no! Same-day drop-off service while you're on vacation... What's not to love. They even called me when my clothes were ready. I was staying at a hotel just a few blocks away which charges 10x what I paid for a far less convenient service. I can get some work done while i wait for my laundry 4) On site staff. These people are really helpful and friendly, and they keep the place clean! (again, see #1) 5) No more quarters! I love the laundry card system. This is fantastic. 6) Nickelodeon on the flat screens. I don't watch Nickelodeon, but other people's kids do. This keeps them quiet, and keeps me happy. Oceana Laundry is fabulous. I went there because of the heat in Vista. So much cooler in Oceanside. Plus I love that you don't need quarters. Instead you put money on a card and use it. The dryers seem to work much more efficient and I spent $5 less than normal. I used to go to one on E Vista Way, Vista, next to Albertsons. I've been coming here for years and I've notice such a decline in service. The attendant is rude, ask for help expect an attitude. When I need help I try to just figure it out on my own. I've asked her for help maybe 3 times first time was with the door I couldn't close it, 2nd time I couldn't reload my card. After several attempts I finally asked her went to the desk and told her if she could reload my card on the computer.( I used to do this with previous employees they knew my card wouldn't slide, they were helpful. Sadly they are gone ) she looked at me as if I had a third head. And said you have to reload it on the machine, I told her what happen and suggested to put recipe paper over my card and slide it. Girl gave me the biggest attitude and rolled her eyes. I told that's "fine,You don't need to help me." I had to use my Credit card instead of my debt that day. Today I finally told her that the timer on the machine are off its not doing the full cycle time and that one of the doors isn't fully closing. Trying to avoid an accident. She gave me attitude again!!!! Im over that this place. Sadly its the only decently clean place (used to be better), and the machine were in better condition. I've been coming here for 6 years now! I have been coming into this laundromat for over 2 years. They never remember me. My friend also comes here and he is a black man. Every single time he walks in he they bother him. We both do laundry here. Today in particular we were walking into the laundry mat to wash and were buying candy out of their vending machine. Their vending machine requires you to have an Oceana card for which we have and showed the worker. I confronted her about her racism since she tried to kick us out. I am going to personally let the mayor and all the people in power I know in town of this racist establishment. I am a Latina but refuse to see racism in this town.
