30/10 business. Recently my mother passed away and we needed to get my marine husband's dress blues cleaned one day before leaving. Everywhere we called "no..no..no..and no" we called ritz as a last stitch effort and they said come bring it right now (6pm) and we will have it done by (8am). We brought it in and they placed it at the front of the line. We returned at 8am on the dot so we could get on the road immediately after and come to find out one of the other customers saw and payed for it. I cried. I called my father who is a pastor and he exclaimed saying he prayed to let others intervene and reduce some suffering to help this be a safe trip. This business is the only company we will be using. They were very prompt and friendly! I had my white lab coat dry cleaned here for the first time when I got the chance from my schedule. They got rid of some of the yellow stains from work and I was really happy for that! I brought in the lab coat on a Saturday and they were done by Tuesday, which was fine by me! I think we've been using Ritz once a week, mostly for button-up shirts. I could wash them at home but the wife doesn't like ironing (and neither do I!) and honestly for a few bucks a week, Ritz does an excellent job with their wash & press service. Occasionally we'll do dry cleaning. We've never had an issue. They are right around the corner and bonus, they're next to a fantastic ramen joint :-) Only negative is the parking lot which is out of their control, but they do have a couple of spots right up front reserved for their customers which helps immensely. This weekend the lady who was running things went out of her way to give me especially helpful service. She accelerated the pickup date for a garment I wanted to wear on the weekend. Even better, when I went to pick it up and needed a private corner to put it on she said I could use a try-on booth she had and moved things out of the way so I could access it easily. So I started to review Ritz a few years ago, and apparently succumbed to my rather severe ADHD and left the review abandoned and alone, like a lost little puppy. I've neglected it for far too long, but no more! This puppy is going to receive all of the love and attention it deserves at long last and, because it is in fact a review and NOT an actual puppy, it probably won't resent me for anywhere near as long... right? So anyway, back to the review. Ritz is simply amazing. They've taken everything I've thrown at them with exceptional catching abilities and aplomb. I know I shouldn't be tossing dirty laundry around like that, but sometimes I just can't help myself. (Please note: no actually laundry has been hurled at anyone; I do not wish dirty laundry in the face of anyone!) Beyond being exceptionally good at their job, the staff are courteous and kind, and make me smile every time I go in. To the DRY CLEANERS. Prior to Ritz I didn't know that that could be a thing, but we live and we learn; we live and we learn. Now, to give you and idea of just how much I trust Ritz, I have a friend from whom I have been known to borrow a tuxedo when the situation arises (and yes, I know from my profile photo you wouldn't think it's something that would ever actually happen, but here we are.) It's made of silk and Italian lace, and is simply amazing. I could never afford to own the thing, but I can afford to borrow it at the very least. However, in doing so, a dry cleaning is also in order, and there is exactly one place that I trust to clean it, one place I trust not to ruin this bespoke suit of my friend's.... And it's Ritz. Seriously, I can't say enough good things about them, although at the moment I'm a bit ill so I may well need to cut it off there, but I will say this: I love Ritz, I love the service I receive there, and I just love the... the honesty of them. I've never felt messed about with, and if there does happen to be something that is beyond their magic cleaning powers, they'll tell you and give you options for how to get it sorted out. They also are an honest place, as cash I had left in the pants was put in a ziplock baggy and attached to them at the time of pickup. A bit irritated with this cleaners. Let's make this easy and quick. We have been customers for a couple years. Several months ago the owners started complaining about their rented credit cars machine costing more than usual. Subsequently, they posted a sign saying there would be a 4% tax on any payment using a card (this is in light of the increase in the card machine company's rental increase). After several months of returning the 4% before charging us, they are now charging. This makes the dry cleaning cost higher than surrounding cleaners. Hhhmmmm. Here are my main reasons for no longer using this cleaner because of this additional tax they are imposing: (1) Hundreds of other LOCAL businesses use this same rented card machine and don't charge customers the increase in rented card machine cost per month. (2) Why would you charge your loyal customers additional money because you choose to own a company and accept credit cards? (3) There are other options for credit card machines and accounting software, maybe look into a cheaper solution? (4) Since our card is a debit card you get the funds immediately, it's like cash. Why would I pay you 4% more to use a debit card? With that said, they do a good job and it's a bummer they chose to impose this additional tax on local patrons. So, we are not using this dry cleaner anymore. There are other local dry cleaners we can support. read more

I just found this cleaners out of sheer luck. Sometimes when you least expecting it you run into something great!! I walked in the door and the lady was so nice I knew right away I had found a great place. Unfortunately I will be moving in a year but at least I know I have a good place to go to get my clothes dry cleaned! And it turns out she uses the same alterations lady that serval other dry cleaners in the area use. The location is convenient, the service is great and parking isn't too bad as this area has gotten so crowded and there is an old fashion feel to the energy there. The only things I get dry cleaned are my prized jackets, coats, suits and my Pendletons. I used to care more about price than service and would take some 40 items once or twice a year to get pressed more than cleaned. I realized that when your dropping off that much business most places will cut you a deal and make it somewhat competitive. So I did that for years and for me and my busy schedule it's more about convenience. So yes other cleaners do pick up and delivery, but Ritz is the closet to me house and are open 7-7 which work for me before or after work. I've yet to get altered by them. read more

Ritz Cleaners is not only expensive ( they quote you one price then increase it when you pick up your dry cleaning) it also has terrible customer service. The gentleman that works there seems to always have a bad attitude. I mean he has ZERO personality. That being said, he should not be interacting with customers. He has never greeted me when I walk in and that is unacceptable. I took a designer blouse in to have buttons sown on the cuffs. Of course this loser tells me they couldn't do it. Not 3 minutes later a woman walks in immediately offering to assist me. I mentioned that I needed to have buttons sown on the cuffs of my blouse, but that the gentleman stated it could not be done. She immediately disagreed and apologized for his mistake. Even went out if her way to find pearl cuff links for my blouse - free of charge she says. The gentleman who appeared to be her husband seemed pissed by her generous gesture. I tried this dry cleaners based purely on convenience. However, there are too many other dry cleaners in the area with better prices and wonderful customer service. I will gladly take my business to a local dry cleaner that values customer service. Ritz if you care about your customers, I recommend you work on providing better service. A smile wouldn't hurt every once in a while. I give Ritz Cleaners 1 star for the high prices and bad customer service. I increased the overall rating to 2 stars for the lady who went out of her way to make me a satisfied customer. I've been coming here for years and have spent a lot of money on my dry cleaning and typically don't have a problem. I needed to get my dry cleaning for an event so I showed up before they opened. They open for 4 hours on Sundays (11-3pm). The owner walks up around 11:08 and the first thing he says is "It's 8 minutes after, I guess I should open now". Granted, it was only 8 minutes, but as a small business owner, that's not the mentality you should have. He wasn't apologetic at all. It's a complete disregard for other people's time. They do great work on cleaning and alterations as well. It is reasonably priced for San Diego but might be a little high for Oceanside. They always remember us as regular customers and have even driven clothes to our home when we are in a bind as a professional courtesy. This is one of the best cleaners I have ever dealt with! From customer service to their magical cleaning skills. I had an expensive red designer dress that had several severe black pavement marks all along the bottom from wearing it at an outdoor event and I was certain the dress was ruined especially after another cleaners had mentioned so. When I called Yvonne she was beyond accommodating and was able to put my mind at ease. They were not only open on Sundays but she was able to expedite it faster than I thought.
