First time here and it's a pretty standard laundromat. They have some large washing machines that can handle 40lb, 60lb and 80lb. Regular smaller washers too. Dryers are all the same but all don't work properly as in drying time is better on some than others. Probably true for all dryers. Overall not a bad experience and I will come back again. read more

My wife and I live close by and our water lines are under construction. We need some laundry done. We looked at this place and saw it opened at 5am ( big plus). We arrived at 6am and true to form, it was opened with one person using the facilities. We started washing. I noticed how clean and effective the machines were. My wife needed help with done change and Raul was courteous to help. This is a clean and worry free establishment. No Riff Raff or problems. We were in and out within two hours. Needed somewhere to clean camping gear (large blankets and sleeping bags, and jackets) and this place was great! They have all size washers and dryers...very large ones that I literally cleaned 6 huge blankets all at once (with room to spare)! They also have huge dryers as well. Way quicker than I thought! You must have quarters (there is a quarter machine that takes CASH only--bring small bills unless you want $50 of quarters). I'm sure the attendant would have exchanged my bills for smaller ones but better to be prepared. They also have vending machines of soap and bleach, etc. but not all of them worked. Overall this laundromat is very clean. Came to wash 4 queen sized comforters and I was able to use 2 of the 80lb machine. I used 2 the dryers roughly dropped $5 which is not bad. The comforters got cleaned and the have variety of wash sizes you can use. Definitely coming again. They have a good selection of machines, change, machines, snack, machines, and vending machines, selling laundry detergent and dryer sheets. read more

These ladies are just awesome! I don't use a coin laundry often, but anymore it seems they're all a little bit different. I had become less than enchanted with the coin op around the corner from me, so I looked online and read the reviews for College Coin Laundry. It was a bit of a distance, so I called first with a few questions. Christina (the owner) picked up the phone, answered all of my questions, and then gave me some helpful advice, as my loads consisted of 2 brand new duvet inserts, a new duvet cover, and a new quilt... big items that get really heavy when saturated. And she said that she has an employee on site, and Josefina would be there to help me with whatever I needed. What a blessing to find someone who offers GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! And when I arrived, Josefina absolutely carbon-copied that great customer service! And the place was clean, organized, and well-maintained! I wouldn't normally equate a coin-op laundry with the word "joy", but in this case I certainly will! It was a joy to patronize a business that appreciates their customers! You are better off going to a different laundry mat that gives you more minute to dry. I spent $20 on 10 dryers andy clothes was still damp. Before you come at me it was small amount of loads in each dryer.hence 10 dryers a dollar each dryer and the only dryer that worked was number 8 and 3 upper. Save your money go elsewhere. We live in an RV so doing laundry somewhere is a MUST. I have an 8 month old, 2 year old, and 11 year old.. plus my boyfriend and I.. so we have LOTS of clothes we tried college coin laundry today and ran to get dinner inbetween. In the middle of dinner my boyfriend quickly ran across the street and switched the laundry over.. fast forward a few hours, we're looking for my toddlers blanket which is the ONLY blanket he will sleep with and cannot find it anywhere.. we then realize we forgot TWO loads of laundry I quickly called the number connected on maps and the owner had answered! She was so so sweet and called her employee to check on it. We live 30 minutes away so I really really appreciated it! She called me back and let me know that she actually had her employee put them in the dryer for us! the prices are super good compared to a lot of places, the washers clean our clothes very well, and the dryers don't burn our clothes!!(had some bad experiences At certain places...) After a couple of months of not being at this laundromat, I came back because I had a large load of clothes I had to wash. When my laundry was done, I was absolutely horrified by how many stains covered all of my clothes. I had oil-like stains on t-shirts, jeans, my blankets and sheets that I know are going to be impossible to remove. My sheets and pillowcases were also damaged and had runs all over them. I spoke to the manager of the laundromat and showed her the damage, and was told that it was my fault for putting clothes that were soaked in oil in the washing machine. (My clothes didn't have oil on them prior to me washing them.) be careful when choosing to wash your clothes at this laundromat, your clothes will be destroyed, and you will run yourself 40+ dollars for 4 loads. Safe to say, I have learned my lesson and will be saving up to buy my own washer/dryer. read more

Nice clean laundromat, popular on Sunday morning. Our home washer / dryer are out of commission, so I'm using the laundromat for a bit. Overall pretty good. Don't forget to bring your own detergent and dryer sheets - they have a vending machine for them but it's pricey for what you get. Only complaint is the size of the machines. What they call a 2 load machine is barely half of the size of my home washer (and I don't have a giant one). I ended up just getting a couple loads done instead of doing everything I brought because it would have been crazy expensive with how many of the "double" machines I would have needed. Good clean place in a pinch, but I am glad I won't have to depend on it regularly. read more

Well this is not just another token review. This is a blaring, bullhorn PROCLAMATION that is telling you..... FANTASTIC SMALL BUSINESS!!! Back story- our washer broke on a Friday afternoon. Could not get any one out to take a look see until Saturday. My son is a competitive hip hop dancer in high school, and had a competition the next morning. Typical boy, was planning on doing his wash last minute. Broken washer= freak out. Never fear, I Google- fu and College Coin laundromat appears. 1.3 mile drive and we arrive. The laundromat is CLEAN. As in, not only does it smells clean ( duh) the floor is clean. The machines are clean. And... the BATHROOM IS CLEAN. We wash, and leave to home dry. After getting home, we notice that all 3 pairs of my sons expensive stretch Jean- ultra- quadra- tech- ripstop- hyper whatever fabric pairs of pants for his 3 dances are gone.... as in.... NOT THERE. We freak. We drive back to the lot, thinking we dropped them. We search the house, thinking we have short term memory loss or thieving elves. Nothing. We had to be 75 miles away at 6 am. We have no clue where they went, and hit the mall Saturday a.m. up in Brea scrambling to find suitable replacements. (We did not. He performed in par non competition materials.) I called the posted phone number to see if perhaps we left them. A pleasant, cheerful voice is on the recording. I do note that the laundry service prices are given on the message, and that's a rarity. Very nice. But then I think... who is going to return my call on a weekend, from an automated business?!?!. I expected to hear from someone in week, or never. I leave a message just in case What happens next, say you? I have to re- mortgage the house for pants that my son will most likely lose again to a dastardly laundry mishap? Nope. MY PHONE RINGS, IT IS THE COLLEGE COIN LAUNDROMAT OWNER! Cheerfully, she introduces herself as Christine.....and wait for it.... asks me how my day is going! Politeness of this kind is so very rare , I was thinking I was in a time warp! Christine went on to say.... "Guess what, we HAVE THE PANTS! " I'm still on shock, but I pulled myself together and hear her explain that her on duty attendants check the machines every couple of hours, and if they believe something was lost or forgotten they finish it up bag it, and tag it with the date! ( wait, what??? People still care about others belonhings??? ) I gush, go gaga and express my thanks, and we get to chit chatting. It seems that this laundromat has been owned by a female sole proprietor for 20 YEARS. As a single mother, she said she needed an income and liked the good honest feeling of maintaining a business that many people dont use, but when they do, it should be clean, efficient and make a person happy they used it. She explained that we left them in a wet machine and they were drying as we spoke and would be ready in an under hour. Wait, what?? You are rushing to do my laundry and you offered that?? I'm going to pick up the items when we get back to town. And I'm going to hug the building and sing Christine's praises from the roof tops. I know that a lot of people have home washer and dryers, and rarely if ever, need a laundromat. I also know many people do not, especially apartment dwellers, and use these places all the time. For someone to operate what I deem an essential business with such care and enthusiasm in a time where that's not particularly in style or warranted in a coinop self serve establishment environment is a HUGE deal. If you have comforters to wash, or a million towels, or just get sick of laundry and want someone else to do it for once, please patronize COLLEGE COIN LAUNDRY in Oceanside. Impressive!!! There were a variety of different size washer and dryers to accommodate different load sizes. The attendant was very helpful, especially my first time when I had no idea what I was doing. New to coin laundry. I have always thought these places were scummy but I went based on this great yelp review. Still cautious though, I went at about 9 am on a Monday morning when I knew the crazies would still b sleeping. I washed one big ass load in a shiny new machine and dried them as well for only $5.75. I don't know if this is a good price or not but i accomplished my mission and felt safe while doing it. The only downside that I notice was how hot it was inside... I guess industrial sized driers will do that, and that there were not enough places to sit (so my son and I sat on the ground outside in the cool air with the nice strip mall music playing above.) I made a mistake and thought I was putting my washed clothes in a jumbo dryer and actually put them in a 4 load washer and pressed start. Stupid mistake. Left a message on the emergency line around 9:30PM and since nobody answered I thought, nobody will pay attention to this message. I mean, most people probably wouldn't, but i was wrong. While waiting for our clothes to dry outside in the AC of our car, Carmen came out and let us know the owner called her and told her to refund what we spent on the extra wash and handed us our money. Per Yelp open until 11pm, but last wash is at 9:30pm even though wash cycle only takes 22 minutes. If I get something in by 10 I can wash for 22 minutes and dry for 30 minutes and still be out by 11pm. read more
