That's great customer service, right? Then it came to the jackets, she said it starts at "$65" with an eye-roll. At that point we left and took our business elsewhere. We've been coming to this dry cleaner for over a decade. What shame to see it in the hands of such a disrespectful person.

When I mentioned that a worker had helped me in a similar situation before using my laundromat card history, she claimed that would only be allowed if it were the first time. This response didn't make sense because she had no way of knowing my history as a customer, and this was my first interaction with her. It felt like she was making excuses rather than trying to help. What made the situation worse was that when I asked for a manager's contact information to clarify the policy or file a complaint, she refused to provide it. She only gave me the manager's name "Mario" That level of unwillingness to assist a paying customer is unacceptable.

"How did this ever happen??!", noticing a buttonhole that needed a small amount of repair. She automatically took the shirts and hung them up on her to-do rack making it somewhat uncomfortable for me to say thanks, but no thanks. It was then I wanted to know how much the bill would be, and she replied $24. I then grabbed the shirts off of her rack and bid her a good day. I have seen this same tactic used at different types of repair shops where the owner overly dramatizes what needs to be done and takes possession of the item prior to discussing the charge or getting approval. In sales that's called the assumptive close, where they act as though they assume you will approve the work and pay their price for the very minimal effort required. Don't fall for it. I have just now received a response from the lady's husband indicating that I must have visited a different shop and mistakenly thought I was in theirs. Absolutely not possible as I've been in several times in the past. Perhaps showing the shirts will refresh her memory and also defend my own. For full disclosure, the green shirt does have a small half-inch rip on the back side.

With the extra fabric, she offered to make two pocked squares as well. My sister and I had a very small window in which we needed alterations for her bridesmaid suit and my dress. They got them BOTH done so fast and the work was incredible. Aside from the work, they have great customer service which seems to be hard to come by these days. Highly recommend this place! Would definitely return. More info on cost: I paid $138 for the slit to be sewed, straps to be shorter, added sleeves, plus two pocket squares. My sisters alterations to her suit were nearly the same amount

I had ordered a new dress which was delivered midday Saturday Sept 2nd (5 days before I flew out…read morefor a wedding) - all the tailors and places that offer alterations closed at 4pm that day but were also closed Sundays plus the following Monday because it was Labour Day. I found Maria on Saturday evening and was told I'd be able to drop the dress off Sunday and get it back Tuesday evening. I was so grateful. Drove to her, tried the dress on, she pinned it to mark where it needed alteration. 2 days later on Tuesday evening it was ready, just as she had said. I went back, tried it on and it is fantastic. Fits so much better and she did such a great job. You can barely even tell anything was altered by looking at it except for a tiny amount of thread on the inside of the dress which is a tiny bit darker than the original thread. Maria was super friendly, chatty, showed me some of the other things she'd done and was currently working on. She had just started on some sofa cushion covers which looked great. Grateful for her flexible schedule, that she was able to accommodate my alteration on short notice and that she did such a great job. Pricing was also standard compared to the other places I had seen and very reasonable. I'd definitely recommend.

Soapbox Laundry service is without question the best laundry service I ever used. I live in Vista and have had dealings with 2 other laundry services starting in 2018. Both of the other services charged at least 25 cents per pound more than Soapbox and the clothes never smelled as good, were never ever folded as well and one service was frequently dishonest about the weight of the order... this practice resulted in a few obvious over charges and service cancellation. I have used Soapbox Laundry for 3 years now and have had zero issues or complaints. Soapbox is a reliable and exceptional laundry service...I highly recommend you give them a try. read more

Simple and Easy laundry service. Signed up online, picked a pick up day and they took care of everything. I'm so happy with their service. One day turn around, pick up and delivery back and all the shirts were hung nicely. Clothes cleaned well and folded. Game changer, good bye washer and dryer. read more

Almost ran me off the road getting off 78 to El Camino Real. Turned across a right turn lane from a far left lane lic number started with 6925. Bad first impression, wouldn't recommend this business. Two stars for bad driving without causing an actual accident. read more

The last time we used them, they gave us back thrift store clothes and kept our actual clothes... John, the owner shared with me he had continued to employ a drug addict who has done this before. He was so sorry and embarrassed and wanted to know how to make it right for us... We agreed that we'd try to asses the value of what we lost and let John know. This was an amicable enough call. He seemed dejected and sad but expressed a desire to make it right. Fast forward two months now and John and his wife Kelly have patronized and attempted to pacify me multiple times with multiple excuses on why they weren't honoring John's own request to compensate us for our losses. Neither has even offered a refund. It's hard to tell fact from fiction, but it is clear their goal is to brush losing $750 worth of my wardrobe under the rug. I've waited over two months for compensation, and even offered a reduced settlement price as an olive branch to show I recognize running a business can be costly and difficult. The staff all seem to say the same things about John and Kelly, they are rude and short with people and try to undercut pay and etc. It shouldn't be a surprise that after the business makes a mistake they accept zero accountability and word for word today told me: "What are you going to do, sue us for $750? Go ahead!" Okay. ‍ Needless to say, I don't think people like them should be able to be in charge of other people's careers let alone run a business. Avoid at all costs.

Although it's a bit of a drive for me, I ultimately chose Cleaner Cleaners based on their reviews. My initial experience was great. Drop-off was smooth, and the customer service was pleasant. Unfortunately, after picking up my clothes and getting home, I realized that one of my pairs of slacks had been damaged. There were shiny marks imprinted all over the fabric that were not there when I dropped them off. I brought the pants back to show them and asked whether the marks could be removed. I was told they could not be fixed. At that point, I asked for a refund for the $10.50 cleaning service. The response I received was, "For what, cleaning them? We don't guarantee a result." I found that response incredibly disappointing. I was only asking for a refund of $10.50 for a service that resulted in my pants being permanently damaged, when realistically I would have expected a business to offer to compensate me for both the cleaning and the approximately $60 pair of pants they damaged. Instead, they refused the refund and offered no apology whatsoever. I was also sarcastically told to "call the pants manufacturer" because supposedly the fabric was the problem. If they believed the fabric could not safely withstand their cleaning process, I'm not sure why they proceeded with cleaning the pants in the first place. I also dropped off the exact same pair of pants in a different color, and those came back completely fine, so that explanation doesn't make much sense to me. Mistakes happen, and I would have been much more understanding if the situation had been handled with basic accountability and customer service. Instead, I left with damaged pants, no refund, no apology, and a dismissive attitude from the business. Overall, I absolutely do not recommend this establishment. My biggest issue isn't even that the pants were damaged -- it's how poorly the situation was handled afterward.

Other laundromats aren't like this. First time I've ever heard this rule. Even if it's a policy, it's my first time there, let me Dry my clothes this first time. Now I will never go back and don't ever recommend someone to go there. I went to the El Camino Coin Laundromat in Oceanside. It was so peaceful & I felt safe there. I recommend going there for better service. You are in & out. No one bothers you.
