So good and such great value! I hope the prices and portions stay exactly the same! Oc Mien Tay is basically in New Saigon Pho.One establishment but two menu. I heard about Oc Mien Tay from random ads for their New Year special through social media and came after the promo ended, but even then, everything was still very fairly priced. The $5 beer poured over ice and the charred, smoky flavors of the razor clams loaded with green onions instantly reminded me of Vietnam. The chicken feet salad was packed with flavor and well-seasoned, and the lemongrass clams came out super generous in portion. The whelk had a nice chew and was still really enjoyable. You can tell there's real effort and care put into each dish. Part of me wants to gatekeep this spot, but at the same time, I want to see them thrive. Definitely worth checking out!

The snails and clams here were really fresh. They were prepared well, so much flavor. We love the variety of sauces that they provided. I'm definitely a sauce girly. The service was good. Foods came out pretty quick. The restaurant looks like they would be great for larger party as well. The price is pretty reasonable compared to some other Vietnamese seafoods restaurants.

Customer service 5/5 Food quality 4/5 Portion and price 5/5 Food comes out pretty fast. The balut with tamarind sauce are tasty, especially they fried the outer layer to be crispy and soft inside. Exactly how you would get in Saigon. The tamarind sauce are tasty and well balance. The razor clam are properly clean and well seasoned. The thai style steamed clams are delicious and meaty We enjoyed the various of dipping sauces as well! Lastly, the garlic butter noodle is okay for me but my kid love it. The grill shrimp are dry imo. Definitely coming back to try others dishes.

Very good price for the Ốc items. Not as crowded as some other Ốc places in San Jose. Very chill place to relax enjoy some beer and drinking food without being bother. Would recommend you to try this place for the Ốc items.

Absolutely loved this hot pot! The broth was rich and flavorful with a naturally sweet taste, clearly slow-simmered to perfection. The oxtail was incredibly tender, the tendon had a nice chewy bite, and the beef balls were juicy and satisfying. The taro added a creamy, comforting texture, and everything paired perfectly with the fresh greens and springy egg noodles. Portions were generous and the pot came out steaming hot--perfect for sharing with friends or family. Definitely a must-try if you're a fan of hearty, comforting hot pot. Service is also very friendly and attentive. I'll be back for this again!

Every bite had great balance -- savory, creamy, and still very seafood-forward.

Food: Ume Bowl with Ochazuke Set Price: $26 + $4.5…read moreOverall: I came here with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary back in April! It is in the general area with Cere Tea and Koi Palace. We arrived around 6PM and were seated immediately. We came for the seafood don and both got the UME with an addition of the ochazuke set. For $26 + 4.5 for the set, I think it's really worth the price and you get a good amount of fresh fish. Each bite felt like I was transported to Japan and eating a Kaisendon. Although we had to wait for a bit for the dashi soup to arrive , it was a delicious end to our meal. So comforting and hearty.

We visited on a Tuesday around 5:30 p.m., and it wasn't too busy yet. We were seated right away in a cozy corner and received friendly, attentive service throughout our meal. Here's what we ordered: Edamame: Perfectly cooked and lightly salted. Take Bowl: The fish was incredibly fresh, and the rice-to-fish ratio was spot on. It was a generous portion, too! My only wish is that it came with a little more seaweed so we could make more than one hand roll. Pumpkin & Japanese Sweet Potato Tempura: Light, crispy batter that didn't overpower the vegetables. Perfectly fried. Takoyaki: Only three pieces, but they were flavorful and satisfying. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Between the fresh, high-quality food, welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service, this is definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

We were immediately greeted with a beautiful smile and addressed quickly. Katherine was our server and she is VERY good at what she does. She was friendly and willing to help us with our selections. We started off with the coconut shrimp appetizer. It was delicious and the Pina Colada dipping sauce was amazing and a perfect accompaniment. For dinner,my husband chose the Crispy salmon bowl. OMG!!! This dish is beyond amazing!!! It features salmon bites coated in sesame sauce served over coconut rice and stir-fried fresh vegetables...and is bursting with so much wonderful flavour!!!YUM!!!! I chose the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. Overall, the dish was full of delicious flavours (the addition of smoked paprika is perfect) and its beautifully plated. My only negative would be that the pasta was a bit over cooked and a wee bit on the mushy side....but the Alfredo sauce tasty, The skewer of shrimp atop of the pasta was the BOMB!!! I paired my meal with a glass of Kendall Jackson, Chardonnay. For dessert we had the Seasonal Crème Brûlée which had a lovely presentation and the taste didn't disappoint. Our experience here was TOP and we most definitely will return to try more amazing offerings!!! The menu is extensive and there's something for everyone...even the cocktail menu is amazing!!! My ultimate birthday go-to for fresh seafood and steak!…read more Market Broiler Fremont has been my absolute go-to spot for birthday celebrations for years. When you want a consistently great meal to celebrate a special occasion, this place always delivers a solid 4-star experience. Here is why it keeps winning out over other chain options: The Apps to Start: You have to start with the appetizers here. They bring out that warm, fresh sourdough bread to the table which is dangerous because it's so good. Pairing that with their classic seafood apps like the crisp calamari or a shrimp cocktail sets the perfect tone for a birthday dinner. Fresh Fish & Steaks: For the main course, their menu hits the perfect balance. The fresh fish is always cooked beautifully, flaky, and high-quality. If you're looking for land instead of sea, their steaks are consistently juicy, tender, and seasoned just right. The Vibe: Sitting in the Pacific Commons location makes for a great, lively atmosphere that feels celebratory without being overly stuffy. It's a reliable local favorite that never fails for a birthday dinner. Great food, solid portions, and always a great time!

After today's visit, though... I finally understand why the second location closed. Ordered: Shackie's Sauce (Hot) Shrimp & Mussels Combo Snow Crab Clusters Garlic Noodles Garlic Fries The seafood boil was nowhere near the quality it used to be. The corn tasted old, the shrimp and snow crab didn't taste fresh, and the snow crab clusters had barely any meat. By the time I cracked everything open, it felt like there was more shell than seafood. The mussel shells even had barnacles on them, which I've never seen here before. It made the seafood feel like it hadn't been cleaned as well as it should have. The garlic fries were crispy, but that's it. It was weird--I could see the garlic and was literally eating it, yet there was no garlic flavor. The garlic noodles used to be one of my favorite items because they were bold and packed with garlic. Now they've definitely toned the flavor down, and they're just not the same anymore. It's honestly disappointing because this place used to be one of my favorite seafood spots. The food quality has clearly declined while the prices have continued to go up. I hope they can get back to what made this place so good, but based on today's experience, I can't recommend it anymore.
