Straight up solid breakfasts here. This trip was with visiting family delivering a classic vehicle up the coast. They needed something to eat before the drive. They were very impressed. Table in the parking lot served its purpose. Lots of people. A good place to mix the breakfast plates and danishes. CritDicks

I love the variety of pastries and creative seasonal lattes! Plenty of sit down space but can get busy!

Great spot! Cookie butter latte was phenomenal and seems to be very popular with the locals.

I stopped in for an iced vanilla latte and a couple of pastries, a plain Croissant, and Cinnamon Raisin Roll. I was hoping for a bigger selection of pastries but know item availability can fluctuate. There were 4-5 different pastries. There was a good selection of desserts. I was there on a Friday morning around 9:30. There were several open tables. It was about a 5 minute wait for my iced latte. Both pastries were tasty. The Croissant was buttery goodness. I appreciated that it didn't flake everywhere. I only had a bite of the Cinnamon Raisin Roll. That was my husband's and he enjoyed it. Plenty of raisins. Service is great. I interacted with 3 different employees and all were very nice. Staff is upbeat. They appeared to get along well with each other. It made for a great experience all around.

That Mexican mocha had good flavor but the coffee needs to be way hotter.

Went in and grabbed some coffees and pastries. They gave me one iced drink even though I wanted it hot, but they remade it. Coffee tasted good but it was more warm than hot. By the time I got the other one home , about 10-15 mins away, it was damn near room temp. I'd normally give it 3 stars but I don't think it's one of those huge corporate chains and the staff was really nice, plus it's a great location and has a good menu so I'm going to come back to eat breakfast.

I will always go out of my way to stop by Oside bakery. I am not disappointed when I do! I come on the weekends and while they are always busy the line is never long. I got 3 baked goods and's a coffee today. Their service is always quick and pleasant. Their pastries are always fresh. I have yet to stay and eat but the ambiance is casual.

Visiting some friends in oceanside and they brought us to this cute little bakery near their house! They serve breakfast and lunch (sandwiches), and have a HUGE array of pastries, cakes, croissants, tarts... beautifully laid out french-style. You can sit inside or outside. I got their omelette and wasnt super impressed. The fruit looked a little old, and the baguette was really soft - not toasted or crusty. The pastries were good though, and the service was quick and very kind! There was a bit of a line on Sunday, but my friends told me it usually stays pretty quiet! I wouldnt come back unless it was for a grab and go pastry from the window.

Morning hike with friends and we decided food was a must. They suggested here. Glad we followed their suggestion. It's an order at the counter place and as you wait you drool over the pastries. Had the blueberry tart and a mozzarella jalapeño croissant. Plus a California Benedict. Everything was delicious. The only complaint would be if coffee was served in real cups for dining in service. The tables are packed in yet doesn't feel to restricting.

I've been coming to O'side bakery every weekend for almost a year, and it's delicious every time. Their coffee selection is good. They come out with a seasonal menu too. Their scrambles, and croissants are incredible. I get the breakfast burrito, or the ham and cheese croissant weekly. I've tried all the sandwiches, but none have really hit home for me. The service is awesome everyone is so kind and helpful. It's a cozy atmosphere inside with art on the walls that I think artists are having for sale. The outdoor seating is nice as well. My only gripe is that the brewed coffee is sometimes not very hot!! And that's frustrating. But all their crafted and espresso drinks are pretty great.

Highlights! Service is always on point no matter who helps you. The pastries are fresh daily (we always take about 3-4 home) and their regular breakfast and lunch menu is tasty and filling. The restaurant is self seating after you order and the restaurant is consistently clean, soft music in the background, and rotating artists are featured on their walls. We love coming here (weekly if possible). We like to bring our pups and sit on the sizable patio outside, but there is more than enough room to sit inside too. The front of the house team is always moving (serving, cleaning, welcoming guests, etc.) but they are they are always personable and polite. Thank you to Joey who helped us today; we left the register laughing. I know this may see small to some, but the service here seems to care a little more and that has made a big difference in our experiences.

Portions are on the larger side, sometimes it's better to share. I like that we are able to go up and order when ready. The food comes out fairly quickly. There has been times when it has taken longer but it hasn't kept me from coming back. It's conveniently open at 6am which is a plus. There is plenty on seating inside, it's a great place for a quick breakfast.

Social media brought me in solely for the Ube croissant but I had no idea I'd stumble upon such a buzzing inland Oceanside gem outside of the usual downtown scene! The menu? Loved it. The whole place was hustling, vibrant, and full of good energy. Everyone around us seemed to be enjoying their orders, and I definitely did too. One small heads-up for first-time visitors: please read and respect the house rules. Don't claim a table before ordering it's part of what keeps the flow working in such a popular spot. Super excited to see what future Filipino-inspired items hit the menu next. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Had breakfast here and it was absolutely delicious! I ordered an omelet with artichokes, ham, and pesto (forgot the name, but highly recommend it!) -- the flavors were amazing and perfectly cooked. Just wished the bread was warmed or toasted. The salsa on the side for the breakfast burrito had just the right spicy kick to it. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, bright, clean, and full of that local charm. Definitely one of those spots you want to linger and enjoy your morning coffee. I'll be back for sure! Tip: you must order before you sit.

Beach Break Café totally nails the Oceanside beach vibe. Laid-back, minutes from the water, with genuinely great service. Then there's the food. I was hanging 10 on a fluffy omelette stuffed with tender shrimp, scallops, creamy avocado, and melted cheese. Every bite was rich, fresh, and ridiculously good. Not to mention the side potato pancake, a meal in itself! And the pancakes? Big, pillowy, melt-in-your-mouth fluffy. The French toast was golden on the outside, soft and almost custardy in the middle. Basically, breakfast had no business being this good. After 5/6 years between visits, I think I waited long enough. This is definitely a wave I'd ride again!

It's such a fantastic, family-friendly location with a lively atmosphere and great local energy. The service was wonderfully attentive and made us feel right at home. For my main meal, I went with a veggie omelet and added hot links. I initially thought adding the hot links might be a bit too much, but it turned out to be the perfect combination! Next time, I'll just make a mental note to ask for no mushrooms, and the tomatoes were a bit heavy for my preference, but overall it was delicious. I also grabbed a side of bacon, which was cooked just right. Now for the highlight of the meal: the omelet usually comes with a side of toast, and I was torn between that and their famous coffee cake. I originally ordered the toast, but as soon as our server stepped away, I had a change of heart and asked to swap it for the coffee cake. I am so glad I did! It came out with an amazing warm crust, wonderful texture, and delicious frosting. If you aren't a big fan of heavy sweets, the frosting might be a little rich, but for a treat, it was incredible! Tips: When you pull up and park, keep in mind that the main entrance isn't right where you park--it's actually located on the other side near the street light corner. If you're debating between toast or the coffee cake, go for the coffee cake! You can always ask for the frosting on the side if you prefer it a bit less sweet. Our server was genuinely kind and noticed small details about our family throughout the night, going out of her way to make sure everyone -- baby included -- felt taken care of. The ambiance is gorgeous. It's a smaller restaurant, but well appointed, with a visible open kitchen and bar that give it energy without sacrificing intimacy. It's family-friendly, but easily works for a date night too. Drinks were alcohol-forward and well made. Mine was similar to a very well-crafted old fashioned. For appetizers, we had the oysters and the pea soup. The oysters were very good, though the greens mixed in made them a bit tricky to swallow whole. The pea soup, on the other hand, was delicious. For mains, my wife had the sea bass and I had the pork schnitzel. My wife raved about the sea bass, saying it tasted a league or two above what the price would suggest. My schnitzel was equally delicious -- perfectly deep-fried, with vegetables on the side that cut nicely through the richness. Price came out to about $85 per person, which felt very reasonable given the quality across the board.
