Ok, so I have never been to Chicago and other than deep dish pizza and a chicago dog, I am not in tune with must buy items. However, when I start seeing long lines at popcorn places I have to do some research. I arrived at O'hare and saw a huge line at Garrett's, but seeing as my connecting flight was at a different terminal, I made a beeline for the escalator. And then I see Nuts on Clark with the same type of popcorn choices. Looking on their yelp page, I find my life-changing popcorn choice: chicago mix!!! Wha???? It is a combination of cheese popcorn and caramel corn in the same bag and omg it was glorious!!!! I bought a 10 Oz bag and finished it in 2 days, it was so good. And then I was slightly depressed because my return flight home was not at O'hare but in Denver instead. I definitely found a new popcorb favorite and I will be back the next time I am in Chicago...and I'll even try Garrett's for comparison :) read more

Love the caramel corn here (aka popcorn!). 4 oz for $2.75. It is like eating Crunch and Munch but a million times better! The soft crunch is there, no residual kernel shrapnels to stick in your teeth and never feels way too sugary after a few bites. The butter toffee nuts, advertised at 50%, were a huge mistake! I nearly chipped a tooth when biting into these suckers. DON'T BUY them unless you are ready for eating sugar rocks. read more

I guess this is a big deal in Chicago. Never heard of the business until I was at O'hares. Pros: 1) Very convenient, located in the airport. Can grab a snack for your flight. 2) Huge selection. Plenty of popcorn and chocolate covered nuts to choose from. Cons: 1) Price, not cheap. You can spend some money there. 2) Place is very small, little room to maneuver. I've had a preference for Nuts on Clark street over the others. I would always pick some up at union station. The service seemed more like a local mom and pop shop vs a big chain. The popcorn and nut items were always fresh. I recommend the carmel corn and the toffee pecans. Now that I living elsewhere, I'm glad to have access to this shop at O'Hare when I'm passing through. read more

I got a quick box of small butter popcorn in between flights. Later I read the box and realized they're known for their caramel popcorn. 1. Ambiance: N/A - airport kiosk 2. Food: I had bought the Cheesecorn and Dark Chocolate Covered Almond. The Cheesecorn is basically popcorn steeped in salted butter. It is so good and creamy. It just melts in your mouth. Also, the Dark Chocolate Covered Almond was delicious and not too sweet. 3. Service: The service was friendly and quick. They have to be quick to service the customers since the customers were catching different flights. 4. Costs: My cheesecorn was $3.75 and the bag of candy covered nuts were 50% $4.75 . The price was reasonable to the portion that was provided. 5. Overall Experience: I had a great experience overall. Went to Nuts on Clark in Chicago O'Hare airport today for a bottle of soda that cost $3.62. The woman at the register took $1.38 out of the register for my change but proceeded to hand me .38cents. I turned around and asked her how much the soda cost and explained that she was holding my dollar. She stood right in my face and lied to me stating she handed me the dollar. I told her to keep it and I would address it with the manager then she proceeds to hand me the $1 stating she forgot . Barely edible. Stale, mass produced caramel and cheese corn... I threw out over half of a 5 or 6 ounce bag. Even the butter toffee coated nuts were possibly some of the worst I've eaten. Staff was friendly and generally quick, but a few customers ahead of me really slowed down the flow on my second visit. This is for the people who have not yet been baptized into the cult of cheese and caramel popcorn. Get it. It only sounds weird until you try it. A small is more than sufficient for a personal snack or a non-nutritious meal, but if you're sharing, opt for the medium. Before they start scooping, ask them to go a little heavier on the cheese popcorn vs the caramel, and to shake it well. If the box doesn't close properly, that means you got extra. That's good, because you're going to eat this stuff and love it. I don't have a strong preference between Garrett and Nuts on Clark, but if you're in this part of O'Hare, this is what you're getting, so the debate is irrelevant. Fresher is better, but you have little control over when the corn got popped and how motivated the staff are, plus there's plenty of studies done on how humans will contentedly eat stale food if distracted, bored, or stressed. And you're in O'Hare, so at least one of those is true. read more

But every time I'm flying out of O'Hare or Midway, I grab a bag labelled "Honey Butter Toffee Cashews #722", approximately 0.33lbs and 755 calories of scrumptious candy-coated cashews to devour on my flight home, kicking the crap out of the airline peanut baggies. These are most excellent nuts, and surprisingly do not appear to be available for purchase from nutsonclark.com; this is a good thing, as they would most definitely become a long-term health hazard for me if I could import them into San Diego at will. As other reviewers have noted, the airport locations of Nuts on Clark offer select items at a 50% discount. I've visited about a dozen times and noticed that this item specifically appears to always be 50% off, which makes them $3.61 per bag (including tax). read more

I had a layover at Chicago's international airport and was looking to munch on something before my flight. I was taken in by the scent of Auntie Anne's when I looked across and saw a big sign, "50% off chocolates and butter toffee nuts." Nam loves butter toffee nuts, so I walk over and start yelping this Nuts on Clark. Turns out, it's famous for popcorn! Who woulda thunk it? I follow everyone's suggestion for the mixed cheese and caramel corn. It's $4.50 for a 5oz bag (the smallest) so I get two to bring home. I munch a bit on the plane, and sadly for me, it's not hot. I love fresh hot popcorn. I wasn't wow'd at first bite, but it was delicious. I definitely endorse the cheese and caramel corn mix. Goes surprisingly well together! My first recipient was my mommy and she liked it so much, she finished the bag in the first day! The cashier told me that it would last for a week, but it's only been a couple days and my bag's already gotten quite stale. So beware of that. Yum! read more

Landed at O'Hare this afternoon and after a quick restroom break, I stopped at the closest "convenient" store I could find, but didn't spot the cashew caramel popcorn that Mom requested for amongst the travel-sized goodies, so I asked the Filipina (!) cashier/clerk if the store carried them. Salamat uli!! :) (That's "thank you, again!" in English.) The Nuts on Clark clerk was amiable and showed me the three nut varieties of caramel popcorn offered here: pecans, cashews, and almonds. I didn't bother to check the price differences for the nut variants, but I'm sure a combo of two or three could be had, but don't quote me on it! I think I may have splurged a bit by going for the max of two pounds, but it's nothing but it's rare for Mom to request for anything, so if it's cashew-caramel popcorn she wants, then I am happy to get them for her! I used to think anyone would be an idiot to buy popcorn that costs $20+ for a bucket full, but call me an idiot and convert, their cheese and caramel popcorn rocks. Their cheese popcorn is REALLY cheesy and think they use good cheese to make their stuff. And their caramel popcorn is REALLY delicious and tastes 20x better than other random caramel popcorn you might find in stores. The secret is to buy their mixed combo - sounds weird to combine cheese and caramel popcorn together, but try it - it's awesome. Every time I come though this airport I need to go to this little kiosk for the chocolate covered pecans...I'm telling you they are life changing! They have a kinds of other chocolate covered nuts and raisins too and all that but the pecans are all I want. I was connecting in Chicago on flight back to DC and saw this popcorn stand right as I got off the plane. I was hungry and I love popcorn, especially gourmet, so I thought I would stop by here for a snack. They have several popcorn flavors - cheese, butter, caramel, chocolate as well as nuts, and chocolates. I decided to go with the medium cheese popcorn. Once I got to my gate I pulled it out and had a few bites of it. It was very cheesy and fresh and I was happy with my decision. Fast forward 2 days, I pulled out the popcorn to share with my husband and it was stale. I was pretty disappointed that it was stale already after 2 days. It was even more annoying because I had also purchased some popcorn from Garrett's and theirs was still fresh. My advice is to eat your popcorn the day you buy it or you will be eating stale popcorn. read more

Oddly enough, there are more Nuts on Clark locations in Chicago's airports (3 in O'Hare, 1 in Midway) than there are non-airport locations. And their main claim to fame is not nuts, but caramel corn. We were in the O'Hare Terminal 3 (right behind the food court between H and K) when we saw a sign saying all chocolate items were 50% off. There's a lure for my wife. And we got some half-off dark chocolate malt balls. These put Whoppers to shame. This is such a treat! I'm not a huge fan of popcorn or sweets, but I made an exception for Nuts on Clark and have been looking forward to coming back to the city for it. I've only tried their caramel and cheese popcorn, which seems to be a favorite amongst many. It's crunchy, sweet, with a tasteful saltiness - absolutely addicting. The location in O'Hare makes it that much more convenient for anyone out-of-state like me. There is usually a line during day time, but it dies down closer to closing. The last time I came by 30 mins after closing but went in just to double check. The lady who was still there called me back and gave me a free bag of their caramel+cheese popcorn!
