I was disappointed, but was in a hurry, I took a picture of the label on the machine so I could call after I returned home if it showed up on my credit card. It did, I called, no answer, and didn't leave a message which was an option. It was only $6 as I was going to get 2 different flavors, so I decided it was not a big deal to bother with. To my surprise, several hours later, I got a call from a Chicago area code, so I answered. It was Nuts on Clark! She called me back from the caller id info! I explained the situation and she offered me a refund or she would send me the popcorn! I told her than was not necessary but she insisted! I said I would love to try your popcorn! She said no problem and asked what the flavors were I was going to purchase! I told her. Less than a week later I received 2 medium size bags of the flavors I chose! I cannot say enough about the customer service I received from them!! Above and beyond for sure!! And the popcorn was DELICIOUS!! Their caramel is to die for!!

Sometimes when you're stoned you do the weirdest things and crave the weirdest stuff. I was scrolling on DoorDash for what felt like 67 years when I stumbled on Deep Purpl. Their menu literally screamed exactly what my munchies were demanding, so obviously I ordered everything. First up the Acai Bowl 20oz with banana, strawberry, kiwi, granola, organic honey, extra strawberries, and chia seeds. I am telling you this bowl changed me as a human. I had never had an Acai Bowl before and now I'm obsessed. Every fruit was fresher than fresh, the granola was a spiritual experience, and the balance of flavors was ridiculous. Then I got the PB Toast and I'm still asking myself why I hesitated to pay $6.99 for it. GAWD it was amazing. Crispy bread, peanut butter, banana, strawberries, blueberries, honey drizzle. The best $6.99 piece of toast I have ever had in my life. Because I clearly have no self-control I also grabbed the spinach and cheese empanada and malbec and beef empanada. No words. Everything was fantastic. Every single item was a joy to inhale and I will absolutely do it again. The DoorDash pick-up was super easy and the staff was incredibly friendly. The only minor gripe is they don't provide bags so I had to carry everything individually walking home, which was slightly annoying. But honestly the food, the vibes, and the experience? 10 out of 10. Will be back.

Been living in Chicago for years and so glad I finally got to try the famous Annette's Italian Ice!…read more We went on a Tuesday evening and I would definitely recommend coming on a weekday when the line isn't as long. Service was quick but I can verify that it is a cash only establishment. Luckily there's an ATM machine right in front of the shop for those who may not have cash on hand. Be mindful that it's a walk up window and there's a couple patio chairs and seating outside, but no indoor seating. We ordered the POG Italian ice froyo and a scoop of the peanut butter chocolate ice cream with Nutella topping. I highly recommend getting a side of froyo on the side with your Italian ice. It isn't too tart but adds a great flavor enhancement to the dessert. They have a wide variety of flavors for both the Italian ice and ice creams so there's something for everyone! Both of the items we ordered were so good and perfect for a summer wind down sweet treat. I can't wait to come back and try their other flavors!

Kari's Rating /10…read more TLDR: -Line was crazy at 7pm but it was literally 92 degrees -Cash only! -Servers were rushing through the line and made me uncomfortable to ask a flavor question Came with a friend around 7 PM and my goodness, the line was almost around the building. I've never been here before and I had wanted to ask the servers what the favorite flavors were, but they were really busy and we're mostly just yelling and trying to get people up to the register so I almost didn't feel comfortable asking. I do notice the mood of the places I go to and it wasn't very pleasant unfortunately so I was a bit disheartened. I landed on an Italian frozen yogurt with Italian ice, including coconut, ice and vanilla frozen yogurt with fresh strawberries on top. I did say they have a distinction between fresh strawberries, and strawberries and syrup because I didn't want that extra sugary syrup goo. I keep forgetting this was just a window as I was trying to look for seating, but they did have a few tables out, which was nice, but you would not believe how many customers were in line. I know this place is absolutely famous and I wish the servers were a little more personal instead of just rushing to get through order orders because I definitely could tell there was tension back there. I think it would've made the overall experience a little bit more joyous, as this is my first time in the area, but the Italian ice did exactly what it was supposed to and was delicious, light, surprising-it didn't melt like crazy and was light and fluffy! My large was $10.15 and came with a decent amount of cut strawberries. I will definitely be back!!
