STALE AND RUDE Coming out of Midway Airport in Chicago, as Chicago natives, my sister and I love popcorn. We went to Nuts on Clark at Midway. The cashier was exceptionally rude. we placed our order. Mixed popcorn of course. When we boarded we realized we had thick layers of flavors instead of the delicious mix we usually get from Garretts. The guy hadthrown each flavor in the bag and did not mix it at all. Also the caramel was like straight sugar and the cheese had very little taste. Very disappointing. Went to the location in terminal H. Was caught by the "Oreo popcorn" sign outside the shop. I am a sucker for Oreo anything! Really friendly lady working. She let me sample the Oreo before committing to a bag of it. Ended up not being our thing - we bought a 1/2 and 1/2 bag. I was happy they offered 1/2 and 1/2 of any two styles. We did the cheddar and caramel. I think it was $7 for the smallest size which was enough for two people. Came in a fancy plastic style bag and then in an even fancier box. read more

I was unable to locate the Nuts on Clark on concourse C at O'Hare. I was very upset with a product and not the service so I am posting here. We purchased a bag of plain popcorn which said it was 45 calories per cup. The nutritional info on the back said it had 10 mgs of sodium per cup. IT WAS SALTY AND GREASY. The Honey Butter Toffee advertised on a sign sounded intriguing after all... I did not partake, however I had spied a few sampling cups filled with popcorn set on top of the glass case by the counter. As I perused the wall o nuts I noticed 50% off signs on some of the options, so I ended up picking up two sealed bags of the honey butter toffee pecans, normally priced at $19.99/lb, or 0.33 lb for $6.60. There was also a special going on for a free bag of popcorn with any purchase, so that got freshly filled and tossed into my shopping sack as well. I was the last sale of the day as the lights were then turned off shortly before 9pm. The popcorn was okay, as I figured I had better have some before they got stale. As for the nuts, they were pretty good - not too sweet, not too hard. I'm glad, since the second package was for my friend who was picking me up from the airport. My popcorn was ok, but I have to say, it didn't quite stand up to Garrett's. The price seemed pretty comparable to Garrett's from what I remember (about $5.50 for a small bag).
