We needed to get out of the house so we took the 75 minute drive to Nurd Berger. We saw some good reviews in different pubs and decided we wanted to try it. We're glad we did. Scenic drive from the valley and we were rewarded with a great meal at the end. Super casual place with friendly service. Great burgers and onion rings. We must have gone to the wrong Nerd Burger cafe. This place was highly rated we went in there to eat and the floor was so slimy and slippery that you had to be careful walking. Aside from that the place was overrun with flies there were dead flies underneath the windows there were dead flies on the tables and dead flies on the seats.. We decided not to eat there. I wish I could recommend this place it got high ratings I simply don't understand it maybe they were just having a bad day. read more

Very cool and unique burger spot. The entire place is themed around "nurdy" items, anything from video games to movies. It's filled with neat little memorabilia and posters. The whole menu is themed around it as well. It's a small little space, so don't expect too much seating. I had the cheeseburger and a Korean rice bowl and it was fantastic. As many reviews have said it did take a little longer than the usual wait at restaurants, but from what I can see they meticulously make it to order. The burger was amazing and super juicy. None of those fast food stuff, this is the real deal. Cooked perfectly, fresh ingredients. The Korea BBQ rice bowl was good as well, but don't expect authentic Korean. American style sauce and meat but still very good. Neat little place. Stop by if you're in the area. read more

This is the perfect example of what small business is all about. Great atmosphere combined with classic American food and people that really care about their customers. We rolled up a little before 8:00pm and I wondered if we would even be able to get in because they close at 8:00. I've been to places were the kitchen closed a bit before closing so they clear everyone out ASAP after closing. Not Nurd Berger. They were packed and loving it. I had heard they did run out of ice cream so no milkshakes but they made us road weary travelers some darn good burgers and fries. Recently we were in Globe, and went to NurdBerger, on Hill Street across from the old school. The reviews are right; this is the best place in town. Wonderful hamburgers, juicy and meaty. The shakes were thick and creamy, just right. And the onion rings--I don't think I have ever tasted any rings as good as these. Crispy, tasty, and an absolute delight. I ordered a simple cheese burger that has just ketchup and cheese. when I open the box the burger was severely burnt. I take the first bite it was fine. After that each bite became more and more soggy. The shoestring fires were tasteless and terrible. Would not recommend. read more

WOW!!!! Easily one of the best burgers Iv ever had (I'm usually a big fan of In-N-Out). The vanilla milkshake with the lucky charm cereal is amazing, and I would drive the 90 miles to a Globe just for that alone. The patio is amazing, and the bathrooms are super clean. The staff was very nice, and the food was cooked perfectly. We called in and I lost service. These guys were kind enough to call me back, and have my order waiting when I arrived an hour later. There's nothing more annoying than working all day, paying extra for a good meal (compared to local fast food) just to get home and find it to be jacked up in some way. For 3 burgers we payed roughly 40 dollars but our order came out wrong. There was no quality check in the process of the order being boxed and bagged. Which is an important step for any establishment that wants customers to come back. Of course we could have looked and noticed the mistake ourselves BUT we would have to wait another 15 minutes for the order to be fixed. After working in the desert heat, no body wants to delay that nice shower and precious down time. Unassuming exterior, really fun mural on the side of the building. Inside, loved all of the quirky "nerd" memorabilia. My boys loved it all. We stopped on the way home from Show Low by chance. We googled places near us and this place had a good rating on Yelp and we just went for it and I'm so glad we did! We were a little nervous walking in because it was a small little house, but seeing the comic books and super hero decor put us at ease immediately. My kids were in love with the free reading materials they offered and thought the decor was awesome. The staff was super friendly and welcoming and very accommodating for our group of 9. I ordered the Raising Arizona burger, my husband ordered the chicken tender meals and my kids each got the kids chicken tender meal. We also ordered an extra side of fries. The food came out hot and fresh pretty quickly. The fries were perfect, they had the best crunch and tasted homemade. My burger was huge! Biggest burger I've seen! It tasted delicious! Juicy and perfect flavor. My husband enjoyed the chicken tenders, as did my kids. We had a great time and will definitely make this part of our journey north. read more
