Makes sense since it's steps off from the Municipal Building! There's more to La Luz's menu but the star is their burros. The morning I walked in, it wasn't too busy. The gal running the ship was so kind! I looked at the menu ahead of time so I knew a Bobbie Burro would be hearty enough. Had to wait a little time so I sat down and read the paper. She gave me both red & green sauces since I wasn't sure what my spice tolerance would be. The last time I was there I ordered some menudo and it came in a small bowl and it was not my favorite thing I was looking forward to trying. So of course I was disappointed. I don't live in those mining towns as I used to when I was in H.S. But I do remember a lady named Delores who was the owner of this restaurant. She's retired now. When I arrived, it was already very crowded with no tables available. So I took a seat at the counter. Soon, I was brought coffee and water. As they were slammed, it took a little while for my order to be taken, but not too long. I ordered two different kinds of burritos, coffee and pie. The food was cold by the time it came to me and then when we were trying to check out, I ask if I could get the check and I am told that the people that haven't eaten first our priority, when when we got here, it seems like checking people out was priority instead of getting our order and bringing us food. They Closed Early and The staff was polite and apologetic for the inconvenience and telling me to have a good day, except one lady that was locking the door was very rude when i was trying to come in and she locked the the door then was very rude when me and this other guy where trying to leave she was rude opening the door and didn't even say bye or anything basically she was like get the hell out and why the hell are you coming in, and with the closing for good you'd expect they would like to get any business they could and that lady would think not to be rude to someone trying to give her business and it just takes one person being rude to ruin a business and I probably won't try going there for the rest of their time and If anyone ask me about it I won't recommend it because of that lady. read more
