A great place to stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner if you're driving along US-60 through the mining town of Superior, Arizona on your way to or from the Phoenix Metro Area. The humble atmosphere is festive and clean while the menu is loaded with all the Mexican favorites. Mine (which is hard to find these days) is Red Menudo. It was FABULOUS! A huge bowl really hit the spot with all the right seasonings. The service was exceptional. Corinna is such a happy woman and made me feel right at home to round out a perfect lunch experience. After a long day at a nearby mine--working in over 100-degree weather without a proper meal--I stopped at Jalapeños in Superior, AZ around 5 p.m. for a late lunch. This has been my usual spot on the way home because the food is consistently good, portions are generous, and prices are reasonable. It's a step above fast food and generally a welcome break. Today was no exception in terms of food quality, I had the beef soup with flour tortillas and rice. The chips and salsa are always good and so are their (aguas frescas), I had the pineapple one which was okay. However, the extremely loud music made the experience unpleasant. At first, I assumed the volume was up because I was the only customer, but even as others arrived, the music remained uncomfortably loud. I hope someone sees this review and considers adjusting the volume. While the staff might enjoy it, the dining experience should prioritize the comfort of customers. I'll likely give it one more try, but if the noise level is the same, it may be my last visit. read more

Great spot to stop on the way through Superior. Looks a bit like a dive but they keep it clean. Excellent breakfast burritos with plenty of spice and heat. Limited inside and outside seating. You can order both inside or outside. Many, like us, just order at the outside window and take it to go. read more

Great little mom and pop place to go after hiking. Service was great, prices were cheap and you get chips and salsa with your meal.

First time at this location for an early lunch. You can order your food and pick up at the window or dine inside. Jalapeno's is part of a local chain. Have had their food before. Ordered the Barbaco Burrito for inside dining. They provide chips and salsa which were good. The Barbaco was tender barbecued beef served in a fresh tortilla with shredded lettuce garnish. Prices were reasonable. They open early and breakfast burrito selections look good. On Tuesday,may have four restaurants open in town. That is probably out of ten so it was a good day. read more

I had the Huevos Mexicanos and it was delicious, he had the chicken enchiladas with green chili with a Mexican bottled coke. He enjoyed it as well. The service was pretty bad. The food is not consistent. We have eaten in this place several times and every other time it is decent. Must be the cooksthey need to figure it out. We won't be going back. We ordered beef and chicken enchiladas to go. They were cold cheese sticks wrapped in tortillas and they were not even melted. Big price difference from meat and cheese fillings also. I went back next day and asked for my money back. They gave me half the money back. I'd say check your food before you leave if you do take out. read more

Burritos are a teensy bit overpriced, but solid. Their Carne Asada Fries are epic - huge portions and generous tasty toppings. If you like McDonald's fries you'll love these, they're not your average frozen chunky sad fries I'd expect in a place that isn't a burger joint. Casual restaurant with good quality food. Prices reasonable. Lunch menu and breakfast served all day, on top of a full menu with plenty of choice. On the main strip passing through Superior is a small Mexican restaurant called Jalapeños. Fresh salsas, fresh vegetables and the best bacon wrapped burrito on the planet. The carne asada is very tender and flavorful and the fresh guacamole brings it all together on the inside while the tightly wrapped crispy bacon on the outside holds it all together. The place may be small but the food is huge on flavor. Avoid lunch and dinner peak hours if you want to avoid a wait because they are packed with patrons during those times. read more

We are repeat customers at least once a week. Food is authentic homemade Mexican. I've tried many items and they are all delicious. Our favorite food is steak burrito. The hot sauces are delicious as well, their green sauce is a little milder, but if you love hot hot then go for the red. read more

The food has been consistent so far. The enchiladas are delicious! The tacos are even better. Great prices but the staff need to get on board with how they charge things.
