The salsa that was brought with the chips was spicy and flavorful. We took the second to last table and got there around 2 pm...no shortage of patrons an hour before close! I have been to this establishment previously but decided to visit again as it was excellent the first time. This is a very authentic Mexican restaurant as you would find south of the border. The pictures illustrate this. It is a colorful and fun place perfect for lunches or informal dinners. The waitress was attentive and immediately brought us complimentary tortilla chips and homemade salsa. Both were delicious and the tortilla chips were unsalted and the cilantro in the homemade salsa gave it zing! We ordered two combination plates - Chile Relleno and an Enchilada with Beef and a Green Chili Plate with corn tortilla. The food was goooood here! I really liked the guacamole too! I'm more of a " flour "chip girl and I was so delighted when they had it on their menu! AMAZING! I have not been here in years but really enjoyed the food, and service! Great little place to get some authentic mexican food. I order cheese crips with green chilis, very good, and a side if guac with an order of flour chip, which came out hot, but they did cost $4. i wanted carne asada but they did not have any that day so i order two taco plate with rice an beans, which all came out hot and delicious. This was my first time at El Ranchito. The restaurant is located in downtown Globe . It is small, but definitely worth the visit. I love all of the colorful Decour. The staff was very friendly and made you feel like you were in their home. The food was very fresh. I loved it because it was not heavy or greasy. I had the Christmas burro which was a full of flavor from the green and red chilis. I have family in the Globe/Miami area. Now that I have found this little Jewel, I will make it a must stop on every trip even if I just pick up a to go order. read more

My husband, his sister and I had dinner here once when visiting Globe. I had beef fajitas with flour tortillas, guacamole, rice and beans. My husband had a shredded beef combo with rice and beans. He said the beef was too salty and the salsa too hot. Only one kind of salsa was available. It would have been nice to have some mild salsa. I really liked the beans and fresh tortilla. My beef had some tough pieces but was generally good. I liked the red and green pepper slices. The rice was good. The decor was colorful and pretty. Our booth was comfortable. read more

This place is super popular locally and was crazy busy when I went. They seemed a bit overwhelmed, but to be fair, I arrived at a bad time during the dinner rush. Anyhow, the food is a super local style of Mexican food, with only 3 types of tacos and only flour tortillas. The tortillas are high quality here, and the adobada (red marinated pork) was super tender. I was less impressed by the chile and beans, though--the red chile was too creamy, lacking the edge of a New Mexico style red chile. The adobada had a similar missing something, and the beans were also just a bit too luscious to have maximal bean flavor. Chips and salsa (included) were fresh, which was nice. Next time I'm in Globe I'll probably try a different Mexican place for comparison, but this is a solid option in a town with a ton of Mexican places with similar menus. read more

Fast service but very small restaurant. We ordered to go and sat across the street on a bench to eat. My husband liked his enchilada and 1 taco combo. I had the two taco combination plate. The tacos were really good! We loved the refried beans they were flavorful and creamy. Glad we also ordered a large chips with salsa too. Love eating the beans with chips and salsa. I also have to say the rice was one of the best we have had at a Mexican restaurant. Not mushy or undercooked. Great restraint and very festive inside just small maybe 9 tables around 50 people max. The restaurant is beautifully decorated but terribly cluttered. The ambience consists of the twenty people all around you n the small location. Stopped here on the way back from Apache Lake after reading some of the other yelp reviews and it did not disappoint! It was a busy Sunday morning and we were lucky to get a table as it is very small and filled up quickly and many were waiting as we left. Our waitress was very prompt with menus and delivered home made chips and delicious home made fresh salsa right away. I ordered the machaca with eggs and he ordered a chimichanga, both came with creamy refried beans and his also had rice. The food was excellent and the waitress came by often to check on us and also refilled our drinks and replenish our salsa. finally trying this place out. small family owned mexican restaurant. ordered my usual (green chili burrito, enchilada style). I love the salsa, the burrito was amazing, the pork was fresh, tender and tasty, made from scratch, from the green chili to the vegs inside. the enchilada sauce was delicious and home made. servers quick and welcoming and the price was more than fair. love this place has that small town vibe, seen a lot of locals dinning in and doing take out. My husband and I just visited last night, after a long day riding motorcycles with two other couples- we were hungry, and this place did not disappoint! A very tiny parking lot and only 8 tables inside, but well worth the chaos to park and get inside. There was not one complaint from anyone in our party about their food- everyone was so happy with what they ordered, and the prices are amazing! I thought the toreados were absolutely delicious, but the heaviness from the toppings on my cheese crisp turned it soggy- that's my fault for ordering it with toppings, though! Only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because I thought the tortilla chips weren't very good at all- not served hot, a weird texture, and almost stale tasting. The best Mexican (American) food I've ever had. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant- and I've tried maaaaaaaaaaany! Their salsa is what is always want other salsas to be! The machaca tacos changed my brain's definition of tacos. Chimichangas, enchiladas, posole, huevos rancheros - they are all some of the best I've had. Plus, it's cozy and comfortable. It is not a place to go if you want intimacy with your eating partners. I do not think I have ever had an experience like this. The waitresses were kind. The chips and salsa were great. My boys even enjoyed their food. I was not serviced. I was told the cook refused to make tacos that didn't contain meat. He would not make my dish. The only substitution requested was beans instead of meat in the tacos. I have an allergy that prevents me from eating flour so a burrito with beans was out of the question. I am very disappointed because I know my parents love this place. If you are vegan, pass this place by. Maybe it was just the cook today. I don't know. I never even leave reviews but this is not ok. read more
