I am a big fan of Nudy's Eastside Cafe in Wayne. My in-laws actually found it when they were visiting my husband and I from NY. I have only dined here for the breakfast menu but I have enjoyed everything I have ordered. My in-laws enjoy it very much as well considering that every time they visit we typically stop here for breakfast for one of their days. The last time I was at Nudy's I ordered the California Benedict. It came with perfectly cooked eggs, delicious hollandaise sauce, and perfectly ripened avocados. The tomatoes were a little disappointing considering it was the summer time when tomatoes are at their best, but overall it was a great meal. And they have great hashbrowns. I most likely will be going again for breakfast especially when my in-laws are in town. read more

Nudy's is one of my absolutely favorite places for breakfast. And if you get up early on the weekends in the summer (say, before 8), you can snag an outside table, enjoy the sun...and their fabulous banana walnut pancakes. Their swiss cheese omelet is great...so is the smoked salmon omelet. If you get there after 9, be prepared to wait a bit. But it's worth it. If we're only 2, we sometimes sit at the counter. It's tight...but convival. Bring cash. And an appetite. (But please don't go before 8 on Sundays...I still want my table.) read more

It's the quintessential no frills brunch place. The prices are decent, the service is very friendly, and the portions are perfect. We stumbled upon this place after my SO insisted on reliving his grad school days where he would eat a hearty meal at Nudy's before going to cram for an exam he should've been studying for a week before. To his surprise, there were multiple locations of Nudy's and they were "only 3 stars"???? He knew I was an avid Yelper and he was set on proving the other reviews wrong. We arrived around 10AM and the place was already swinging. There's parking in the back and the tables were already filled. I could see how there would be a long wait for a seat here. We were seated immediately, luckily. My SO ordered the seafood omelette which had shrimp, crab and fresh avocados. The seafood was plentiful and had big chunks in every bite. I ordered the ahi tuna florentine, which is like an eggs Benedict with spinach and seared ahi tuna. A good way to have a semi guilt-free brunch. Great service for Sunday brunch time (12:15pm). We were nervous that we wouldn't get seating, but we were able to pick an outdoor seat right away. Ordering our food was simple, we received a QR code and looked up the menu. The food was ready in about 6 minutes. We were extremely impressed with the little to no wait time. Our order included: Blueberry short stack (2 large pancakes): 4/5 stars - included butter and whipped cream on the side. Best thing on their menu is their pancakes. Lobster Benny (Egg Benedict with Lobster): 1/5 stars - this was what brought down my ratings, but what can I expect with a meal that was cooked in under 5minutes? The hollandaise sauce didn't add much flavor to the overall dish. Adding hot sauce does make it more flavorful. The English muffin on the bottom was not cooked at all, it was essentially placed on the plate with a poached egg on top (not warm egg). Cold brew coffee: 1/5 stars - I need my morning coffee, but I could've lived without this cup this morning. It tasted like watered down coffee that has been sitting for a couple of days. read more

Just enjoyed a nice Saturday brunch here and definitely recommend checking Nudy's out. The food was delicious - I ordered the banana and walnut french toast and loved it. My friend got the goat cheese and red pepper omelet and was pleased as well. Food came quickly, price was right, and our waitress was kind and efficient. The restaurant was a little crowded though and felt a bit claustrophobic. I would suggest coming a little earlier than we did (11:30am) and it might be less packed! read more

This place was an amazing surprise and a great final hurrah as my family and I traveled home from Philadelphia and Valley Forge after a Memorial Day weekend trip. Not wanting to eat at our hotel again, we did a quick search for breakfast stops on an iPhone and this place's name came up. We made the drive expecting to find a small greasy diner. We got something else entirely. When we drove in I realized I never would have picked this place just driving by; it has a very "old" feeling and look to it, and if not for the dining area outside of it you'd never know it was a cafe. It looks more like an old house. The place was busy and noisy, but there was no wait at all. Opening the menu I found myself completely torn between about five different items. In the end I got the Lox & Cream Cheese Platter, which was the last thing I spotted as the waitress asked me what I wanted. Everyone else at the table ordered the pumpkin spiced pancakes or pumpkin bread french toast, so I had ample opportunity to try those as well, and I promise: they were a little slice of heaven. But I'm so glad I got what I did! Everything on my platter was so fresh, and the way it was served I could put exactly the amount I wanted of salmon, tomatoes, etc. on my bagel. The result was that I enjoyed an amazing breakfast that didn't leave me feeling too full or guilty for eating an entire bagel with toppings. Our waitress was also a dear and extremely attentive; you'd never know how busy it was just based on the frequency of her interactions with us. Worked there many years ago at this location when Ray only had 2 stores. Only went to his other location in Conshohocken to eat near my home to eat since then. Food the same, very good. But this place not because it is his first, it is because of how it looks and feels. A cape cod home transformed into a small cafe. Outside seating year round with temporary enclosed with heaters for outside heating during the cold months. The one in Conshy is very coldish and a bland setting compared to this cafe. but, as I said the food is just as good there. We use to have to step on a box to reach the food to serve out a window where the cooks would give us the food out of there if you worked outside. And gave you everything for that order. Inside to take orders at the counter , you have to take orders from behind when waiting on the counter people because the front is where the cooks, well, would cook. Still, visiting again for the first time in? About 10 years, still love the way this is currently done. Old school! And for some reason, makes the food taste better...lol read more

I'm a Nudy's fan for dependably good breakfast foods. Solid omelet, pancakes & french toast options. Recently tried their avocado toast and was shocked at how bad it was. I got 1 piece of toast with a large smashed brown avocado on it & a few pepper flakes... that's it. Took 1 bite & it tasted like a mouthful of avocado with a little bread so I threw it away. Brown avocado doesn't bother me but some of this was black & concerning. read more

Pros: The menu is very impresssive. Hard to decide since there were so many great offerings. We had a wonderful short stack of pancakes. I asked about real maple syrup and they brought it to the table. Excellent service and fast....maybe too fast? Cons: Outside under the tent was very loud... And not from traffic. Just horrible acoustics. Very disappointing lobster Eggs Benedict. Lobster was very fishy tasting and dried out scrappy peices. Hollandaise was flavorless. Coffee was weak. They dont offer espresso. Potatoes were fine. Friends scrambled eggs and ham were fine. Seems like this is a place for pancakes and french toast. Love this new location. It's a great spot for breakfast or brunch. The service is usually very good and they really seem to hustle. Today it was crazy busy which had the servers, hosts and management really running. The reason for this low score which maybe should be lower was a young man which who was probably supposed to be a busboy. He wandered quite aimlessly for the majority of our visit. Every once and a while he would take the damp dish towel off his shoulder and wipe down a table and the condiments with the same towel. Then he'd throw it back on his shoulder also coming in contact with his hair. I found this quite disgusting. As he really didn't contribute he really should be sent home. Great Brunch spot with a very extensive menu offered, there is something for everyone. Our server was friendly and helpful and our food came very quickly. There was plenty of seating at this location that even on Sunday at noon they were able to seat us without any wait time. Overall we had a great experience and will be going back soon! We have been going to Nudy's for years, at different locations , mostly to this Devon one. Based on past positive experiences I recommended to my friends that after a long Covid hiatus we go and enjoy breakfast here. It was an unmitigated disaster. The scrambled eggs one friend ordered came out flat like a pancake and dry and after requesting another try at it, she simply couldn't eat it. My eggs Benedict that has always been good was awful; salty( never had that), the egg practically raw, it was gross.And, i do jot know if they changed the sauce, but it was awful salty, runny and no taste to it. The "crowning " experience was that birds(3-5) kept on flying around and feasting on the syrup bottles on the tables since we were under the tented area next to the building and our table was the only one occupied. We all said that we will never come back to this location and will watch if other locations go down in quality. read more

Breakfast is a passion of mine. For 92 straight weeks I only ate breakfast. I have had everything breakfast has to offer. I came. I saw. I kicked breakfast's ass. Breakfast is comfort food. I remember being six years old, and despite being locked in a steel box out in the sun for 3 days...it was my fault...I coughed during The 1.98 Beauty Pageant...an offense I wouldn't have taken so lightly, but my parents...well...not technically parents...were much more kind than I..and they would slip pancakes under the metal door. I would use half of them to sooth the heat blisters and half would be the sweet treat I craved to eat so badly. My only friend. Now as an old man I think back on those happy moments during breakfast and smile. When forcefully relocated to this area I searched out the best breakfast joints I could find. Most were not good. Most caused me great pain. Most were very quick to throw someone out for standing on their chair screaming "I'll never let you destroy my memories you bastards!" Some people are very sensitive. As I was being dragged screaming and foaming at the mouth out of a lesser eatery someone suggested I go to Nudy's...then the obligatory pinprick and complete darkness. A few weeks after my release I went to Nudy's for a hearty breakfast, and I was not disappointed. Since my first time eating there I have gone back several times. Everything from their omelets to their pancakes are terrific. They have an excellent selection geared towards virtually everyone. People who want the sweet pancakes with syrup and whipped cream will be in their own personal heaven...people who just want a great protein omelet with their choice of meat and cheese will be thrilled...and people who want something more sophisticated like eggs benedict or a great hollandaise sauce will be very, very happy. The best part of Nudy's, and the thing that keeps me coming back is the service. Sure, it is cheap. I had to make a trip outside of the city this weekend, and I wanted to stop at a new place for breakfast. I had heard about Nudy's cafe, all the way out in Wayne, and I was excited to see what it was all about. Nudy's is off a small street, and there were cars parked along the side of the street; the parking lot was full and there were still more people pouring. Amazingly, Holly Z and I only waited about five minutes for a table. There are two really great outdoor seating areas, one is covered so you can still eat outside if it's drizzling a bit. Inside Nudy's is a bustling little diner scene as well. Immediately I noticed how cheap the prices are. Living in the city I have come to expect to pay at least $10 for brunch, but nothing at Nudy's topped $8. I ordered Crab Benedict, which included poached eggs, lump crab meat, and asparagus on English muffins with Hollandaise sauce. Holly ordered one of their "signature" omelets. Our food came out quickly, and overall the service was excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive, and didn't rush us despite the fact that he was obviously busy. I'm not sure if it's because of my high expectations for this specific location, or the kind of bruncheries I frequent in the city, but I was disappointed with Nudy's. First off, the coffee was water flavored coffee; very weak. When my dish came out, I was disappointed with the meager two spears of asparagus, but it was even worse that they were limp and flavorless. In fact, my dish was bland on the whole. Holly seemed to agree for her meal as well. The best compliment we could agree on was that "It's better than Denny's." Maybe for the area, this spot is great. Maybe I've become too much of a critic. Either way, I was not impressed with Nudy's. I might go here rarely if it was around the corner, but there's not a chance it's worth any driving. The gingerbread pancakes were amazing. Huge portion- way too much food, but delicious. And I may sound crazy saying this, but I love oatmeal. A lot. And this was some soundly good oatmeal. It's cute and diner-y, but with really sweet staff who actually know people (though not me, a complete outsider) by name. Seriously, I wish I could actually have eaten more than I already did. And maybe had actually been hungover so the coffee/pancake/oatmeal ridiculousness that I devoured could have soaked up booze instead of just filling me up completely. All I wanted to do the rest of the day was watch bad television and not move- and thus I did. After coming to Nudy's for a late breakfast yesterday, I'm a true Nudist! I came here once for lunch a long, long time ago and found it cramped and too busy to really enjoy. Thankfully, my friend talked me in to going again. On a beautiful Saturday, this place, tucked behind the main thoroughfare in Wayne, was packed enough that we had to wait for a table. Thankfully, my friend put in his name a little earlier and we were quickly seated. Not long after, the waitress took our orders: one set of chocolate chip pancakes and eggs florentine, both of which came out piping hot within five minutes. My pancakes were sweet and moist, with ample bits of chocolate throughout. Syrup, butter and whipped cream made this the perfect indulgence for a lazy Saturday. My friend's eggs were served on an english muffin with the usual accouterments and nummy hash browns. Both dishes were scarfed down quickly. The drawbacks to Nudy's are few. There's little to no parking and the other businesses won't let you use their lots, so take your changes with street parking. The place is SO loud that any chances of conversation are slim to nil, though it may be a bit better if you sit on the enclosed patio. Service also seems to fly quickly, making it a rather rushed experience. All in all, if you want good food at a reasonable price, Nudy's is a great breakfast and lunch spot. My friends and I met for breakfast Sunday morning. The hostess said the wait for four would be about 15 minutes and it ended up being around 30. When we were seated we immediately noticed the dozen or so flies buzzing around. Have you heard of fly paper ribbons?! Come on... To add to that, it was EXTREMELY loud and not a pleasant breakfast. It was a relief to finally get outside (even though the temperature was 93 degrees) as it felt like the AC must have been off in the restaurant. Our waitress was a bit aloof and not very friendly as well. We almost had to pull on the strings of her apron to get her attention. Food quality and taste are not the best and the portions are not as big as you would expect at a true diner. But hey, we didn't really like the food anyway. I personally love the granny smith pita pocket or the banana walnut pancakes (just ask and they'll add chocolate chips). We've been to Nudy's many times and is excellent for breakfast... usually a little crowded during normal breakfast hours, but between times is not too bad... friendly wait staff, outdoor seating and great recipe selections make Nudy's more than just the usual Diner. Still talk about the Pumpkin Pancakes during last holiday season. I just returned from a trip back home and I've got to say, when I go home I always try to make it to Nudy's for breakfast. While there is often a wait on weekends, my meals have always been worth the wait. I haven't really branched out with the menu, but my favorites are the french toast melba (mmmmmmm raspberry cream sauce) and the breakfast burrito. Fresh guacamole and salsa (rather than the jar stuff) would definitely improve the meal, but I always really enjoy the breakfast burrito anyway. It's enormous and I basically love anything that comes in a tortilla shell. The area for inside seating is small and cramped - if you're able to get it, the best seating is outside under the umbrella tables (not under the tent!) I've had really great service here and sub par service here, but overall it's a solid place to have a decent breakfast. If you've got a sweet tooth, definitely try some of their specialty french toasts. They all look amazing! read more
