    Birthday brunch!
    Jody S.

I've been seeing a bit of rave about Nudy's and I wanted to give them a try as my birthday brunch spot. There are a good amount of Nudy's locations in the area and the menu seems identical at all the Nudy's, so we decided to go to this location since it was the closest to home. But coming here changed the choices of the remainder of the day's activities. Okay so we got a bit of a late start since since we were trying to cram many festivities into my birthday events and got here around noon rather than 10am as planned. To my surprise it wasn't crowded and the patrons were spaced out very well. The location was very clean, open, and had clean lines which were appeasing to the eyes. The host and staff were very friendly, welcoming and warm which was initially great. We put in our orders and excitedly anticipated our food. What arrived was nicely plated and appetizing. Now the food, while it looked amazing, there was no seasoning or unique flavor to the food to make it stand out from other brunch locations. We all thought the same thing. For example the Cinnabon pancakes had tons of cinnamon with sparing cream cheese icing which had a decent flavor on its own but the pancake was very basic and it didn't motivate me to save it for later. Same for the Crab Benedict, no seasoning was involved in the making to distinguish this meal/location from any other brunch location. What they do have going for them is the vast menu options and the portion sizes are large. As a result I didn't want to try anything else new for my birthday meals. We ended up having dinner at a place that I normally love, to get the food and tastes that I know and love.

This spot was a friend's pick. We arrived around 12 on a Monday and was 1/2 full. They do have an abundant amount of options for breakfast/lunch. A mix of booth, bar stool, and regular tables for seating. Parking was easy- street (meter) or 2 hour (street). We ordered BYO Omelet-Spinach, Cheese, Onions, and Hash browns-It was ok. My Monte Cristo was more of a ham/turkey sandwich. I could see the bread had been dipped in batter but it was missing the sweet (powdered sugar, Jam) flavor that goes with the savory meats and makes it a Monte. Tried to have with a little syrup but just didn't cut it. Coffee was good and strong. Our Server was friendly and attentive. Looks like they have a few other locations in the Philly area. They were almost full when we left. Would return to try some of the other dishes-3.5 stars if I could.

A nice breakfast and brunch spot. I ordered the waffles which were delicious. The service was wonderful. I would definitely return for the waffles at least.

Wow super delicious with many sweet and savory options to choose from! I went with the pumpkin spice pancakes and I thought it was going to only be seasoned with the spice but there was an actual pumpkin spread! My friend ordered the fruit French toast and that looked amazing. I can't wait to come back to try the other items I was stuck between!

Food was great! I love French toast so I ordered the fresh fruit French toast with a side of eggs and Turkey bacon (since they don't have Turkey sausage). Food came relatively quick considering they were fairly busy and tasted great. The food would have been great with a mimosa but they don't carry alcohol. Our server was overall friendly. Parking on a Saturday during prime hours can be a pain but I was able to get the last spot in the lot across the street. My friend got the cinnamon pancakes and really enjoyed them as well.

Really nice place. Came on Sunday at lunchtime, probably busiest it'll ever get. Seated pretty much immediately-- its a really open place and there's a ton of tables. Staff is pretty friendly and quick with service. Coffee was refilled very often (free refills) and just a nice atmosphere to go with it. Ordered the ahi tuna florentine, and recieved it 10 minutes later-- quick service. Tuna was cooked well, eggs poached perfectly, muffins unburnt. Also got cold brew, nothing special. Just a really nice place, a lil noisy but it's Sunday.

Mini varieties of pancakes and French toast, as well as lunches and home made soups. I prefer the chocolate chip pancakes that I have with cream on top. Time to indulge. Service is awesome. This restaurant used to be an old Woolworths. Take note of the brick walls, and the beautiful ceiling.

From the first time I ate at a Nudy's in West Chester, I was a big fan. I am pumped that they decided to open a location in my stomping grounds in Conshohocken. Nudy's is THE SPOT for a big menu with great food and unique options. One of my favorite parts of dining here is the option to get just one "side" pancake if you want to try one but don't want it to be your entire meal. I got the Tuscan Omelet (prosciutto and sharp provolone with veggies) with a side of fruit (fresh, ripe and flavorful, even all the melon which could be hit or miss). I also got a single cinnamon roll and apple/cinnamon pancakes. Both were fluffy, delicious, and so tasty that I couldn't stop eating it even after I was disgustingly full. Finally, the side of fried scrapple was perfect in taste and texture. Our service was wonderful. As for the reviews beating up on it, remember: restaurants are struggling right now with staffing. Go out to eat, don't be in a rush, and be patient. This is the way it's going to be for awhile. If you can't accept that, don't go out to eat and take it into account before you berate restaurants about it.

Been here this past weekend for breakfast their food is amazing, although it was busy the service by the employees was excellent and friendly, and it's a upscale restaurant

I was in the blue bell area and was starving for some good breakfast food. Nudy's cafe didn't disappoint with their food options and portion sizes. Food was delicious served quickly and with friendly service. I'm honestly only taking off one star because the tables definitely weren't fully clean. It appeared that the busser was merely cleaning around the items on the table rather than picking things up and cleaning underneath them (the sugar, jelly packets). Other than that. I would love to come back and try more of their menu!

Overall, this place is average (hence 3 stars!) but it's straightforward - pay at the counter, pack your own leftovers, high turnover seating, not fussy... so I recommend it when going out with kids- I wouldn't go here with one of my contemporaries (unless we had our kids with us)

    House omelette

Nice and spacious area. Food is ok, upscale diner food. Service was ok, but when we first got to the table, there were globs of syrup still on it and also smeared across the table. The menus were sticky. It took a long time to get our food and it was cold when we got it. When I was paying I heard someone say it took half an hour to get their food. But the food was very ok! The consistency and taste of the omelette was exactly what the consistency and taste of an omelette should be. Creamed chipped beef was good consistency and creamy, but a little bland. Sunny side eggs (not pictured) were well cooked and the yolks were runny. They would've been perfect if they weren't cold.

Worth the visit whether you are local or just passing through Conshee. My group of seven decided to try Bar Sera for a Saturday night dinner and we were not disappointed. Known for their Detroit style pizza, it was immediately a good sign when we arrived and saw a steady line of people ordering pies to go. The staff had us seated relatively quickly and took our orders promptly, setting a great tone for the night. To really experience the menu, we skipped the family style prix fixe and built our own spread of small plates and pizzas to share. That decision paid off. The arancini bites were a hit, and the calamari stood out for its unique preparation. Gochujang honey calamari was a first for all of us and it absolutely worked. The pizza is where Sera truly shines. We were blown away by the Elm Street, a deceptively simple pie with tomato sauce, Wisconsin brick cheese and pesto that delivered big flavor. The Ash Street went in the opposite direction with complexity and boldness, featuring BBQ pulled pork, jalapeño pesto, cilantro, scallions and brick cheese. Having been to Detroit and sampled true Detroit style pizza, this felt like a genuine and well executed homage. The cocktail program deserves just as much praise. Drinks like the Nightmare on Elm Street with brown butter washed bourbon, brandy, lemon, apple sage honey, almond bitters, cranberry bitters and egg white, and the Lone Ranger with fig reposado, black pepper, Grand Marnier, lemon, brown sugar and Turkish tobacco bitters wowed the table with unique and bold flavors. Overall, Bar Sera is a fantastic neighborhood spot that punches well above its weight. Great food, inventive drinks and a lively atmosphere make it well worth a visit when you are in Conshee.

But then when I was looking up their burger week menu I came across the valentines menu and it looked good, so I figured I would give it try. My husband's dinner was alot better than mine so I was eating some of his, even though we always share anyway. He got the oysters with a dragonfruit sauce and they were good. I ordered crab and corn soup with grilled focaccia bread. The soup itself was fine , but it was only half a bowl and not much crab in it. I would have liked more soup instead of the bread. I gave the bread to my husband because we got a good amount of bread for the appetizer and I didn't want to fill up too much. I probably should have ordered the calamari instead , that looked pretty good. My husband's scallops with risotto was very good. Seared perfectly, creamy risotto, good flavor. Normally that is what I like to order, but I got the crab pasta because I love crab. I was disappointed In this dish. The crab tasted a little too fishy like it went bad or something. I also got a number of shells in the crab I had to spit out. I feel like they could have mixed the crab with some kind of seasoning or flavors. It seemed like they just dumped the crab right out of the can into the pasta and didn't even clean the shells out first. And they didn't even put the pasta in any kind of sauce. I would have liked maybe a creamy sauce with it. The pasta was just in like a watery garlic broth, and it broke apart and crab went all in the water and I didn't even have a spoon to pick it up. Dessert was ok. I'm glad we got the dragonfruit cheesecake instead of the chocolate cake, it was refreshing . The tiramisu wasn't bad but it was still somewhat frozen. I was kind of surprised because we are fans of the Pieri group restaurants. We have been to their sister restaurant Stonerose for burger week for a number of years now and love it. We also came to burger week at bar sera the one year and really enjoyed theirs too. I wish they did them separate weeks so we could go to both . Maybe it was just an off night tonite. Sometimes valentines menus aren't as good as their regular menu. Maybe we learned our lesson to go out the week before valentines instead for next year.

The decor has a California farmhouse feel with lots of wood accents and open shelving. Fortunately, we were given a quieter table in the corner off the main dining room although even that room was loud. We started off with drinks and appetizers. The Orchard and Oak bourbon cocktail in a tall glass tasted like a winter drink and was slightly sweet. We shared Daisy's Nuggets which I would definitely order again. Finally, nuggets with a little heat! A few more blue cheese crumbles would have been appreciated though. We also decided to try the Smoke Show pizza which was fabulous even though I'm usually not a fan of thicker crust pizza. I especially enjoyed the combination of flavors including the ricotta on top. As an entree, my husband ordered the Short Rib Ravioli which wouldn't have been enough for him without all the appetizers as the portion was small. It seemed more like an appetizer portion than an entree. The Smash Burger, however, was a hit. Our server sang the praises of Manny's Mussels saying you could drink the broth as a soup. Unfortunately, that was not the case as the broth was too oily. Also, there weren't many mussels. Additionally, the timing of these entrees was terrible. As we were enjoying our appetizers, the mussels and burger were brought out by a food runner. It seemed as though there was no communication between the food runner and the server who later apologized for the food coming out too early. Also, despite noting it on our reservation and actually calling and speaking to someone named Lily, our birthday chocolate cake was again brought out by an oblivious food runner with no candle. I asked him to please put a candle in it, and it was brought out a second time with a candle. Additionally, our first cup of decaf was lukewarm despite our server saying she had just made a fresh pot. Our second cup was a bit warmer. Overall, we enjoyed our food and the ambiance. However, the kitchen needs a system to communicate with the servers, food runners, and reservationists in order to make it a better experience for diners.
