Came here for brunch on a Friday to meet up with my sister as she lives locally. I had been to another Nudy Cafe location in the past and liked it, so I figured we could come here since this location was more convenient. The interior is cute. The food and drinks were pretty average / nothing special. I would not recommend their iced coffee. I got the tuscan burger, and it was okay. I've been seeing a bit of rave about Nudy's and I wanted to give them a try as my birthday brunch spot. There are a good amount of Nudy's locations in the area and the menu seems identical at all the Nudy's, so we decided to go to this location since it was the closest to home. But coming here changed the choices of the remainder of the day's activities. Okay so we got a bit of a late start since since we were trying to cram many festivities into my birthday events and got here around noon rather than 10am as planned. To my surprise it wasn't crowded and the patrons were spaced out very well. The location was very clean, open, and had clean lines which were appeasing to the eyes. The host and staff were very friendly, welcoming and warm which was initially great. We put in our orders and excitedly anticipated our food. What arrived was nicely plated and appetizing. Now the food, while it looked amazing, there was no seasoning or unique flavor to the food to make it stand out from other brunch locations. We all thought the same thing. For example the Cinnabon pancakes had tons of cinnamon with sparing cream cheese icing which had a decent flavor on its own but the pancake was very basic and it didn't motivate me to save it for later. Same for the Crab Benedict, no seasoning was involved in the making to distinguish this meal/location from any other brunch location. What they do have going for them is the vast menu options and the portion sizes are large. As a result I didn't want to try anything else new for my birthday meals. We ended up having dinner at a place that I normally love, to get the food and tastes that I know and love. read more

This spot was a friend's pick. We arrived around 12 on a Monday and was 1/2 full. They do have an abundant amount of options for breakfast/lunch. A mix of booth, bar stool, and regular tables for seating. Parking was easy- street (meter) or 2 hour (street). We ordered BYO Omelet-Spinach, Cheese, Onions, and Hash browns-It was ok. My Monte Cristo was more of a ham/turkey sandwich. I could see the bread had been dipped in batter but it was missing the sweet (powdered sugar, Jam) flavor that goes with the savory meats and makes it a Monte. Tried to have with a little syrup but just didn't cut it. Coffee was good and strong. Our Server was friendly and attentive. Looks like they have a few other locations in the Philly area. Food was great! I love French toast so I ordered the fresh fruit French toast with a side of eggs and Turkey bacon (since they don't have Turkey sausage). Food came relatively quick considering they were fairly busy and tasted great. The food would have been great with a mimosa but they don't carry alcohol. Our server was overall friendly. Parking on a Saturday during prime hours can be a pain but I was able to get the last spot in the lot across the street. Really nice place. Came on Sunday at lunchtime, probably busiest it'll ever get. Seated pretty much immediately-- its a really open place and there's a ton of tables. Staff is pretty friendly and quick with service. Coffee was refilled very often (free refills) and just a nice atmosphere to go with it. Ordered the ahi tuna florentine, and recieved it 10 minutes later-- quick service. Tuna was cooked well, eggs poached perfectly, muffins unburnt. Also got cold brew, nothing special. From the first time I ate at a Nudy's in West Chester, I was a big fan. I am pumped that they decided to open a location in my stomping grounds in Conshohocken. Nudy's is THE SPOT for a big menu with great food and unique options. One of my favorite parts of dining here is the option to get just one "side" pancake if you want to try one but don't want it to be your entire meal. I got the Tuscan Omelet (prosciutto and sharp provolone with veggies) with a side of fruit (fresh, ripe and flavorful, even all the melon which could be hit or miss). I also got a single cinnamon roll and apple/cinnamon pancakes. Both were fluffy, delicious, and so tasty that I couldn't stop eating it even after I was disgustingly full. Finally, the side of fried scrapple was perfect in taste and texture. Our service was wonderful. As for the reviews beating up on it, remember: restaurants are struggling right now with staffing. Go out to eat, don't be in a rush, and be patient. This is the way it's going to be for awhile. If you can't accept that, don't go out to eat and take it into account before you berate restaurants about it. read more

Our family just ate at Nudy's for a goodbye breakfast before heading back out of state. We were a large group (10) coming to a breakfast joint on a Sunday morning and had the most wonderful experience! First off, we had such a lovely waitress! So friendly and attentive! We never went without an empty water glass or cup of coffee. Our food came out very quickly and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I had the gingerbread pancakes which were delicious!! They were perfect for the time of year. Not too sweet with delicious, warm, spices. I ordered the short stack (2 pancakes) and was happily full. The pancakes were huge!! The coffee was outstanding! The menus were sticky. It took a long time to get our food and it was cold when we got it. When I was paying I heard someone say it took half an hour to get their food. But the food was very ok! The consistency and taste of the omelette was exactly what the consistency and taste of an omelette should be. Creamed chipped beef was good consistency and creamy, but a little bland. I have always enjoyed Nudy's in their other locations, but the one in Conshohocken was severely disappointing. It's gigantic and the sheer numbers of closely packed tables make it almost impossible to hear the person across from you. The omelette and toast I received were the equivalent of disappointing diner food--The omelette was small and overcooked with lackluster ingredients and half of the toast wasn't buttered. Meh food. At least the crab omelette was pretty disgusting unless it is supposed to taste watery and tasteless like it was undercooked. I think what happened is they hired cooks that are inexperienced because people in America don't want to work because the social welfare system gives them an incentive to not work. Also, the restaurant industry hasn't caught up with the fact that over the last two years we've had 16% inflation and paychecks have not gone up accordingly. So back to this mushy omelette. What I suspect happened was the cook just dumped a load of crab meat into the omelette without draining it first and then of course the tomatoes contain a lot of moisture as well. Perhaps the eggs weren't cooked appropriately, but you wouldn't know because it was just a big pile of mush. And I don't know if crab meat is supposed to be tasteless. I'm from the West Coast and I was expecting some local fresh crab meat, but I'll take it that it just came out of a can from some supplier like Sysco or Costco . . Nice atmosphere though, the staff was nice attentive, and friendly enough. The hashbrowns were not adequately cooked at least for me anyways, I like them crunchy and they were basically just Sysco potatoes (I don't think they were made fresh ) that were heat it up. I think this restaurant deserves a 3 1/2 stars. I gave it a two star because my sample of food might've been not really representative of some of the better things they serve. The manager seemed to be hustling, doing a good job, and was very friendly. I did not ask Dave to rectify the situation nor did I complain because small businesses need to be profitable too and they don't need somebody asking for refunds. All I would like is for them to fix the problem. Couple of little tidbits they could heat the plates would be a nice touch. Also, they could Blanche the asparagus for 30 seconds before serving. Otherwise they come out mushy. She asked for scrambled eggs with her pancake. They bought a slightly overcooked tasteless omelette ...no big deal. [except for the tasteless part.] In talking to my wife afterwards she said "yeah they're not gonna give you tasty fresh crab meat for a $16 meal. But it would be nice to have the option where we have the tasty crab meat omelette for $25 or the tasteless mushy one for $16 which would you prefer" that way they're setting the expectation. I can't imagine ever going to Nudy's when there are so many exceptional breakfast joints in the area (and, in the case of this one, a couple of much better places right across the street). This is the most mediocre breakfast establishment I've been in next to IHOP. Yet Nudy's continues to proliferate like rabbits. My past experiences: * Eggs Benedict: badly poached eggs with hollandaise sauce from, may lightning strike me, a box. On top of a cheap, stale English muffin... * Omelet: sloppily made and stuffed with cheap, cold, shredded, from-a-bag cheese... * Bacon: cheap and flabby (despite requesting well done) * Potatoes: they somehow manage to cook their potatoes so they are burnt outside and pure mush inside... As a solid home cook, I can tell that nothing, but nothing here is made from scratch or even with quality ingredients. Beyond mediocre. When the best you can say is "it's affordable," that's the best you can say. read more

We were very polite asking questions about the menu (mostly if they had non-dairy milk) and the server was a little rude and seemed annoyed. This place DOES NOT carry any vegan options on the menu so I was going to modify a dish to make it vegan, but the weird attitude was enough for us to get up and walk out without ordering. My husband and I gave this place another shot today (happy new year!), and it was quiet for a Sunday morning (likely due to some collective sleeping-in after the festivities of the prior night). We ordered at 9:18 and promptly received our food at 9:25 this morning -- a considerable improvement from my last visit. I had an omelet, which was well done (a bit on the drier side), with decently flavored sausage and peppers. My husband ordered a pancake and eggs, and he enjoyed the pancake, which was rich and sweetened well.
