The food here was pretty good. I got an omelette with potatoes. The egg was very fluffy and not dry. I got a latte with it. It was delicious and came out quickly with no wait. I don't believe they take reservations but there was no problem getting seated. The place itself isn't the largest but there's indoor and outdoor seating. Ordered an egg white omelette (which included 3 ingredients - I got cheese, mushrooms and tomatoes) the other morning with rye toast (no potatoes or any other side included) and it was $17. What a lovely brunch spot! It was my first time here and I love the array of choices! Everything on the menu sounded absolutely delicious and loved all the beverage choices as well! I was thrilled to see an espresso machine (meaning their coffee had to be good, and it was!) and their fresh juice machine (which I definitely will come back for)! Our food was delicious, big portions, and good variety! Of course we got our own savory dishes (both delicious) and then a chocolate chip pancake (just 1 pancake is an option!). It was a lot of food but loved that we could customize the pancakes to make it more shareable. The staff were friendly and helpful without floating over our shoulders. Went here on Sunday around 10 am. The place was packed! We were a party of 7 people so we had to wait about 25- 30 mins to get a table, which wouldn't have been that bad if there was enough room to wait, but there were others waiting as well so it was as if the line was going out the door! Ambiance was hectic brunch spot. Not bad but if you don't like crowds, not the best to come here around this time. Food however was great! Three of us ordered the french toasts, which were DELICIOUS! Great place for brunch in the area. It does get packed and busy so make sure to get in line as soon as possible! Our drinks came out pretty fast, and our food came soon after. The portion was big for the food and they were yummy, so it definitely was worth it. Took a star off b/c our server was pretty rude and impatient.. He brought the check before we even asked, and asked us if we were done with our food in which I replied no, because we still had about 1/4 of both our plates left. He shook his head, gave us a face, and walked away, and didn't come back until we left.. Not sure why that was necessary because we paid for the food and it's also not good to waste food, and it is not like there were other customers waiting to get seated.. We had about 5 tables around us that were empty. Biscuits and gravy...burnt biscuits so everything had that taste...when one of the runners came over to clear some plates my husband stated yeah as you can see someone burnt the biscuits...her comment was yeah looks like they did! The waitress also passing just asked need anything else other than the check...no acknowledgment by the other person picking up nor did she ask/look before or at that time...wait station was across from our table and the owner/manager was scolding the team for having a messy station - over and over in a very derogatory way knowing customers are in clear ear range...I wouldn't have wanted to be that employee despite needing tidying - there is a better way. For us...service was sub par and someone needs to look out when baking biscuits! read more

Met a friend here for brunch that had been telling me about this place. She likes it so much that she held a party in their catering space last year for her birthday. Now I see why. Her Spinach Avocado Toast plate looked more like a salad, piled high with vegetables, on top of a thick piece of LeBus pumpernickel bread. I ordered off the specials menu, and the Chilaquiles was definite comfort food heaven. There were some snow flurries outside, and it was warm, filling and delicious. In fact, it was so filling, I'm sure that's my meal for the day. Be aware that it's extremely noisy and the room temperature was way too warm. I made the mistake of wearing a turtleneck, and was dying in there, especially drinking hot coffee. They finally opened a couple windows, which let in some cooler air, so I'm sure I wasn't the only one that was overly warm. It certainly wouldn't keep me from coming back again to try some other yummy delights on their menu. read more

While the food was fine, my service experience was lackluster and I didn't feel very welcome. It has been awhile since I have been there, but I had just had an early morning haircut nearby and figured that I would try the restaurant again. It was a Saturday morning, before 9am and the place was not busy. I was greeted promptly and was seated at the counter, being that I was alone and given a menu. Many people working past me for the next almost 10 minutes without acknowledging me. I was just about to get up and leave when my server approached me to ask me if I wanted anything to drink. She came back with coffee and took my order. I then overheard her telling another employee the she didn't want to be there. Well I guess it was obvious. When a regular customer came in and sat in the opposite counter, she greeted him right away and chatted with him for a while before getting herself somewhat appeared some yoghurt and fruit. Eventually she took that and disappeared into the back area. My food was delivered to me by someone else, and I was never checked in on again other than a coffee refill, never being asked about my food. I flagged her down for my check once I saw her after being finished for several minutes. I just felt unwelcome overall. read more

BYOB so it gets an extra star. We got a carafe of orange juice and made our own mimosas. The glasses were really dirty but the server took them back after we said something and washed them again. It was really warm inside the restaurant and a surprisingly number of flies. Really annoying to have to swap them away as you're eating or trying to talk. The food and service otherwise was really good! I got the avocado BLT and I thought it was supposed to be an avocado toast but extremely tasty. It also came with skinny fries which were perfectly salty. We stayed there for over 2 hours to finish our mimosas but they didn't rush us out. read more

I don't often give 5 starts, but this place is SOLID! I had the crab cake eggs Benedict. I was expecting what I have had at other places, I.e. an english muffin with a crab cake and then a poached egg. But no! It was literally these divine (yes fried!) crab cakes with big pieces of lump crab. And then a perfect poached egg on top. The potatoes were perfect as well! And coffee was not "diner" coffee. It was very, very good. The service is 5 stars. I sat at the counter and the folks were very friendly and chatty. I was by myself so I got a spot at the counter and ended up chatting with other customers. But they have a lot of tables inside and some outside. My one small piece of feedback is to have real cream for the coffee I know why places opt for those small containers but I really don't like those - not just for the single use plastic reason, but also for the taste. Whatever makes them shelf stable takes away from real half and half. But everything else was so good, I give this place 5 stars. And I will be back when I am back here! read more
