So far have liked this place for takeout here and there for some snacks, coffee drinks, and pastries. Breakfast sandwiches there are also good, have really liked the waffle sandwiches. No space to sit, take-out only the times I've been, but most things there are pretty good. Lots of interesting candy and other stuff in there too, and they sell coffee beans from 'feine. Service is pretty quick for stuff that has to be made, and most of what's offered is ready to buy already. read more

Stopped by for a quick morning snack. Ordered a iced latte, beef fritter, corn esfiha, and guava sweetbread. This was the perfect pick me up stop mid-bike ride. Very easy to get to from the schukill river trail. Latte was average. Kinda weak. Beef fritter was the tastiest thing we got. Id recommend! Although very oily. Sweetbread was very doughy and not too sweet! The guava jam on top was great. Corn esfiha was plain and didn't taste like much. Probably wouldn't get this again. Merenda Box is a great little pastry shop in the downtown area Conshohocken. Virtually all street parking but there is a lot of availability. I saw a lot of locals just walk in. It is Brazilian inspired and I imagine the owner is from Brazil. The pastries were top notch made fresh and a great variety. The staff were friendly and was able to get my order in a timely manner. Definitely a great place to stop in and get some unique and different pastries. read more

I was ecstatic when I saw a Brazilian bakery was opening up, and stalked them on Instagram for months. I grew up around Latin bakeries and felt the dearth when I moved here. Unfortunately, this place was a miss. The pao de queijo was, for lack of a better word, terrible. They were sadly deflated and looked like chicken nuggets. I still ordered them ($1.50 a piece) to give them a try and they were so dry and stale. The guava roll was also dry and stale, but edible since it was drenched in guava sauce, which by itself was pretty good. The guava cookie was the best of the three items I ordered, but quite mushy. Service also seemed untrained. I asked questions about what's in certain drinks, but the employee didn't know any of the answers. She brought someone else over, who was able to answer, thankfully, but neither seemed like they had tried most of the items so they couldn't really give recommendations. I really hope this place improves, as they just recently opened, and succeeds. read more

Cute little Brazilian bakery with delicious coffee, beverages, and treats! Staff is always pleasant and happy to help and work well together to get individuals in and out quickly due to the small space. While I was looking forward (more) to their sweet items, I have found I enjoy their savory items even more! Definitely recommend the empadas. The shrimp is lovely and I find the bamboo shoot is similar to a marinated artichoke in taste - I'm a fan! My go to drink has been the guava breeze. Both hot and iced were delicious. I also tried my husband's doce de latte which was great! If looking for a sweet treat, the brigaderos were definitely great! Looking forward to visiting again soon. read more

Their sweet pastries are absolutely phenomenal. I've tried a half dozen or so different ones over the last year or so and each one has been so delicious. The balance of flavor and texture is always just right. Their specialty coffee/espresso drinks are always delicious too. This place is a gem. read more

Merenda Box is a great addition in Conshy! I've been twice so far since they've opened, and everything has been delicious! Be prepared to wait in a decent line if coming on the weekend. I stopped in for the first time this morning. I want to pick up a couple breakfast sandwiches for myself and a coworker on my way to work. The shop opened at 8a. I had trouble placing my online order, did not know that it was because the store was not quite opened yet. I called the store to place an pickup order and was told they couldn't take an order over the phone for another 7 mins (it was 7:53a) and to place an online order. I contemplated going somewhere else, but was on the way. I waited 7 mins and placed the online order. I knew I would have to wait and was prepared to wait for my order. I arrived at the bakery around 8:05. It was super cute! I figured since I had to wait, I would check out/purchase pastries while they were preparing my food. The first lady I dealt with was kinda rude and aggressive. I honestly was glad that she was sent to the back to make my order and another lady helped with my pastry order. The second lady I dealt with was absolutely delightful. I waited about 10 mins for my order. When it was ready, I received what felt like a lecture from the first lady about their wait times. It was a little off putting, if I'm being honest. Overall, the food was good and relatively fast. I enjoyed everything I ordered. I'm definitely planning to return. read more

OMG. Finally pulled my car down the street to stop at this Brazilian bakery. Stunning decor makes this especially enticing. It's why I visited it. But the baked goods were amazing. I cut off small pieces to taste and then passed them to my daughter and her family. Don't think anyone else in her home got a taste. Both of us were blown away by the donut, but it was a tiny custard tart that was simply a treasure. It's only open until 2:00 pm so it's a morning/brunch stop. There are savory choices like a hot dog in pastry and a ham and cheese concoction that looked lovely. They also do coffees. read more

Cute little pastry shop, delicious coxinho (giant fritters stuffed with savory shredded chicken) and brigadeiros (condensed milk sweets which resemble truffles in appearance but taste like delicious buttery sugar cluster bombs) in particular and friendly, eager staff. Only docked a star as some of the sweet in particular are a little pricy for the quantity you are getting. Definitely a nice addition to Conshy regardless and a nice treat. read more
