Just had a wonderful Father's Day breakfast at First Watch. Our waitress Martisha was amazing. The food was fresh, flavorful and delicious.

I came to this location to have a solo breakfast date with my self. I waited for about 10 minutes at the table and was not addressed or acknowledged at all by any wait staff. As I was leaving a gentleman asked if I needed help. I wouldn't recommend this location unless you're okay with a mixed experience. I've been to First Watch locations in different states, this was the first time I've had this type of situation. read more

Ordered online through their website for pickup. Food was ready on time and the pickup experience was quick and easy with friendly staff. However, upon opening the food when we got home, we were quickly disappointed. Both side salads had wilted and slimy leaves. While the sourdough club sandwich was good and had a great amount of turkey, the market veggie sandwich was very poor. The pesto was not spread onto the sandwich, leaving bare edges throughout, and there was an inadequate amount of veggies for a $12+ dollar sandwich (see photos). While I know they are probably better at their breakfast options, they are clearly not focused on quality, at least for their takeout lunches. This location is a short walk from my apartment building and I walk past it all the time to get to Starbucks, but I haven't ordered from here in a couple years after a really bad take-out experience. I decided to try again, but unfortunately it was another bad experience. I placed my order online for pick-up and then walked over. My order was ready on time and the employee at the front podium was very nice. When I got home though, I realized half my order was missing. Two of four items left out! I ordered the Sunrise Granola Bowl (a fruit and yogurt parfait), which is supposed to come with "a freshly baked muffin of the day" and the AM Superfoods Bowl (a chia pudding), which is supposed to come with "whole grain artisan toast with almond butter and Maldon sea salt." Well, I got the yogurt parfait and the chia pudding, but no muffin and no almond butter toast. I absolutely would not have paid $10.99 for a yogurt parfait on its own had it not included the muffin. And the chia pudding was priced even higher at $12.99, I assume at least in part because almond butter is pretty expensive these days. But with half my order missing, this was a terrible value. And yes, I probably should have checked the bag before I got home to make sure my order was correct, but on the other hand, should I have to? Also, not as big of an issue but still a major pet peeve of mine: I made sure the checkbox for including cutlery and napkins was NOT checked, but they included two sets of plastic cutlery anyway. It's just wasteful to include the extra plastic when the customer has not asked for it. Why have the check-box with the option to not get it if you're just going to throw it in with every order anyway? So I got half the food and twice the plastic waste I was supposed to get. And next time I'm on my way to Starbucks, I'll just keep walking past. read more

I came here expecting a decent dining experience, but the service was unacceptable. For a Thursday morning, it should not take 40 minutes just to receive coffee. Once the coffee finally arrived, our food order was taken--but the meals never came. Meanwhile, multiple tables around us, who arrived well after, were promptly served, ate, and checked out while we were still waiting. Both the waitress and manager displayed an unprofessional, arrogant attitude. Their excuse was being "short-staffed," yet we were the only table left without service. When our food eventually arrived, it was cold. Even after I made it clear I did not want a replacement, the manager insisted. This shows a lack of respect for the customer's voice. Whether intentional or not, the experience left us feeling singled out. I won't outright call it racial, but the fact remains--we were the only Black family there, and the treatment was drastically different from other guests. This restaurant needs to train its staff on proper communication, professionalism, and basic respect. Customers come out to enjoy time with friends and family, not to be ignored or treated like second-class. Needless to say I will not be returning, maybe that was their intentions, and I'm fine with that. I can spend my money elsewhere. read more

We went to First Watch last weekend, my friend had been many times, it was my first. It won't be my last. We arrived just before 9, and there were plenty of seats...... by 9:30, a line was forming. I was surprised how popular it was, until my breakfast arrived. I got an omelette with mushrooms, onions and cheddar - you can have them anyway you'd like. I then substituted my toast for biscuits - that's a no brainer, and ordered homemade grits, instead of the home fries. The omelette was delicious, cooked perfectly! The biscuits, recommended by my friend, were light and flaky with a wonderful buttery taste. The grits were also recommended and they were superb - my friend's from Atlanta-need I say more. The grits and biscuits are a must order, regardless of your main dish. We will be returning to First Watch.....very soon! read more

Spotlessly clean, no more sticky tables, friendly, oh-sooo-nice & personable servers (Morgan, Nyerra, Whitney & Austin to name a few) & fabulous food!!! This is the second time in the span of a year, that my food came out cold. Not hot, not even warm, cold like it spent time in the refrigerator. I ordered the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. The side salad was barely dressed and the English muffin under the eggs Benedict was tough, maybe stale. The waitress was adequate. She delivered the drinks, took the order, and someone else brought out the food. That was the last we saw her other than for her to clear the table. Such a disappointment. read more

I wasn't super thrilled with the food. The service was great. They were very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the Florentine eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was delicious but cold. One egg was runny and the other was overcooked. It was a good sized portion. The ciabatta bread was soft and fresh. The greens on the side were fresh and dressed well. The menu said free refills on the ice tea but I was charged for two. So $6.99 for two teas. Not sure what that was all about. I do have to say that I had one little issue and told the server. She was very apologetic and said she'd tell the manager. I'm not mentioning specifics here because I'm sure it's going to be taken care of. This is one of the must-try brunch places in Philly area. I was surprised that they have "smoked salmon version" of egg benedict and the lemon dressing on top of my eggs were ON POINT!! The downside about this place was their drinks. They didn't offer freshly freshly squeezed juice at here, they only had bottled juice options. I love the fact that this place listed out all their ingredients and calories for each dish on their menu! If you need to watch out for your calories intake, this place is for you to go for having a nice treat to yourself while you are on diet! Had a great breakfast at First Watch on a rainy Saturday morning around 9:00 am with no wait to be seated. Our waiter applauded my bold choice of the breakfast burrito so I knew I was in for a treat. My wife and I enjoyed some fresh specialty juices with our coffee. Mine was apple kale and my wife got the morning sunrise, both were great. The breakfast burrito had great barbacoa in it and a really nice consistency of potato's and eggs. If I were to order it again I would have taken the sauce on the side as it was a bit salty and relied on the avocado to do its magic. My wife greatly enjoyed her salmon eggs Benedict as well. We went to breakfast here on a weekday morning and were immediately greeted by the staff. Our server was friendly and attentive, however made several minor errors in our order. We ordered two sides they didn't bring out probably because of confusion that could have been prevented by confirming the order at the table. Note that there is very little parking here. We're were here at 10:30 AM on a weekday and got the last available space though the restaurant was not busy. I ordered French toast which comes with blueberry compote. I wanted syrup instead which they were happy to bring in a tiny bottle. The two syrup bottles we asked for resulted in a $3.58 up charge (total) on the bill. They didn't mention the up charge in advance. Seems funny to have an up charge for syrup on French toast. Other than that food was good and service was attentive. I loved everything about this place. It is way bigger inside than I expected it to be. Came in on a Saturday morning with my family (3 of us). We were seated very quickly as well. I want to start with our server Chyna. She was absolutely beautiful inside and out. She was so accommodating and quick with everything we asked for. She was able to list a few of her favorite food items and give suggestions. Will be returning for her. We started with the Lemon Ricotta pancakes & Millionaire's Bacon for the table. The Millionaire's Bacon was cooked to perfection, served to us by one of the lovely cooks. He told us that it was Billionaire's bacon and he was right. The perfect balance of salty and sweet. The lemon ricotta pancakes were cooked well and tasted good. For meals we had the Al Pastor Hash, BLT Eggs Benedict , & Biscuits with Turkey Sausage and gravy. The food was delicious. We hardly had any leftovers, besides the potatoes they were a little much. The only con I had was the food was not as hot as I would like. Other than that, taste and presentation were spot on. We spent about $98, but the average cost per plate is about $10-12, which I consider great for the area. They also have a really cool gift card deal! I was so hyped up about this place but was so disappointed. The place was packed and the service was great. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and a side of Biscuits and Gravy. The Eggs Benedict were bland and had no taste. I love hollandaise because everyone has a little twist of their own but this had no twist unless it was bland. The idea of have a biscuit in Gravy was appealing but again it had no taste. We were both disappointed, especially my wife who had a much better experience the first time she went. The only reason I will try them again is because the customer service is wonderful. Looking forward to next time. read more

Went 6/18 for the first time it was great. The ambiance was nice cute and quaint. I like the opened ness. I'm a sucker for a bfast taco and this place didn't disappoint. My boyfriend got the waffle with their signature bacon. He didn't enjoy the waffle after drowning it with syrup. Cause that's exactly what the waffle did, DROWNED! It withered away he said LOL. Hot oatmeal--seems to be new to the menu. lots of generously-sized raw fruit mixed throughout. Although some milk and raw sugar were supplied, the sweetner was not really needed. 2. A healthy, cold, vegetable drink of kale was tasty, but with way too much ice--giving me, of course, less to drink. 3. A delightfully-tasty grilled blueberry muffin was part of the mix. 4. I was told I HAD to order FOUR pieces of bacon (I wanted two) . I declined to order it. Turns out they aceded to my request. 5. My friend and I arrived around 11:15AM and we were greeted promptly and seated at an open table. However, a server didn't arrive to take our order for 20 minutes after we were seated. No big deal, since my friend and I who works for channel 10 NBC news, was engaging in a deep and meaningful conversation. Though, this is how situations like this can get out of hand. Now, after our order was taken and the food arrived, there was a 2x2 inch sticker that was cooked into the potatoes of my classic breakfast. Since the meeting was arranged by my friend, he was disgusted about what had transpired and immediately ran to get the manager. To be honest, I wouldn't have said anything since I've seen the movie Waiting in the past. Things happen, and everyone makes mistakes. I've been in the service industry before when I was younger and I understand bad days can occur. What prompted me to write to you is that I feel that the manager really didn't care that a dirty sticker was found in my cooked food. If so, he wouldn't have charged us for the meal that was only 40% eaten between the both of us, and shown more empathy during our conversation at the register. If I was a known VIP, he probably would have been more attentive. Sorry to say, I feel compelled to post my experience online and I probably will not visit another First Watch again. read more

Love this place! If you're looking for a brunch menu with great options and quality ingredients then this is a good spot. Good The food is great! It's brunch you either have it or you don't and they have it!! The lemon ricotta pancakes are so good and the hash scrambles are very delicious as well. The service is amazing! S/O to Antonio for just being genuinely them! Sometimes people go out of their way to be nice but seriously they just excused this amazing energy and it was really refreshing. I truly enjoyed our convo! The space is cute. Not in a Tik Tok or IG cute but it's still nice. They have Wi-Fi and the tables are big so it's a nice spot to work while you brunch. The Bad Parking. On this visit I ordered the Florentine Benedict and my hubby ordered the traditional with chicken sausage - I'm not really into sausage (I like turkey bacon but they don't carry it) but their chicken sausage is REALLY good. I also ordered Morning Meditation - my fave drink here; my hubby ordered a drink that was made with watermelon (I can't remember the name of it) but it was nasty to me - too much of a watermelon taste not balanced enough with the other flavors (I can't recall what they were though). BUT I rate this place 4 starts because the food and service are generally consistent... Just be prepared to wait before being seated if you dine here on a weekend for breakfast or brunch. read more

So glad to know that First Watch is on watch. The hostess was so sweet. We were seated pretty quickly as well. Ordered a Purple Haze which has lemon, sugar cane, butterfly pea flower tea and a hint of lavender- so good. That Farmhouse skillet hash was delicious. Well seasoned and just delicious. There was a nice fruit jam spread for the toast and the mini fruit cup was a nice bonus. I was not a fan of the cheeses grits. Yup, that's all I have for that. Lol The sausage was good. Now let's talk about this carrot cake and pecan pancake. Delicious. I would probably recommend a cream cheese in place of syrup, but I enjoyed it. I will definitely be back. Swung by one morning right when the restaurant opened (7 am!). A few earlybirds like us were present but we mostly had the restaurant to ourselves. It is a very large and spacious place with widely spaced tables. They have a long menu with every breakfast food you could want. They also have a number of interesting drinks available. We opted for the frittata rustica, the lemon frittata pancakes, and the breakfast tacos. Everything was pretty good and the portion size was very filling! I appreciated how quick the service was too. If I'm keeping it all the way real the food here isn't all that great--and if you're anything like myself and live a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle this isn't necessarily the best place for you either. BUT I'm super appreciative that the establishment was open for indoor dining during COVID-19 and I really enjoy the Morning Meditation beverage it's super refreshing and makes the perfect kick start to my day. Anywho--I really only stopped by to leave this review to say that server Ms. Rosie was the absolute sweetest human being; I LOVED HER!! I work in the service industry also, and have come across all types of work ethics but when I say she just made me feel at home; hospitality was through the roof and she was super attentive.
