Y'all... I LOVED MY MEAL at Puddlers!…read more The fried pickles were crispy and when you bit into them the pickle stayed in the breading for future bites, which isn't always a guarantee with that dish. The Bavarian pretzels were so soft inside, but crusty and buttery on the outside. My jalapeno burger was cooked to perfection with lots of pink in the middle. Even the French fries were good, and I'm not a huge fry person. I do wish they had Bloody Marys/would bring the brunch menu back, but the Espresso martinis were not bad at all. I really want to come back here and sample more of the menu items. If they are anything like what I had on my first try here, I'll be simply delighted!

It's across the parking lot, so they have their own bar with limited drinks there and the food you order comes like take out. The outdoor seating is gorgeous though - right on the river with string lights, plants, lawn games, and fun/quirky vibes. They were blasting 90s girl anthems which was fun. It's be a perfect place to take kids. My son would have played in the rocks for hours while I chilled. The IPAs i tried were good, but the cocktail my friend ordered was questionable- super sweet and dipped from a giant premixed vat. I liked how much variety their menu had. The salmon was delicious and I liked the rest of the meal too but the squash was tough and underdone. I'm not sure if they offer flights inside but they don't outside. I was a little sad about that because they had a variety of beers that sounded good.

TL:DR Excellent Detroit style pizza, creative small plates and a standout cocktail program make Bar…read moreSera a must stop in Conshohocken. Worth the visit whether you are local or just passing through Conshee. My group of seven decided to try Bar Sera for a Saturday night dinner and we were not disappointed. Known for their Detroit style pizza, it was immediately a good sign when we arrived and saw a steady line of people ordering pies to go. The staff had us seated relatively quickly and took our orders promptly, setting a great tone for the night. To really experience the menu, we skipped the family style prix fixe and built our own spread of small plates and pizzas to share. That decision paid off. The arancini bites were a hit, and the calamari stood out for its unique preparation. Gochujang honey calamari was a first for all of us and it absolutely worked. The pizza is where Sera truly shines. We were blown away by the Elm Street, a deceptively simple pie with tomato sauce, Wisconsin brick cheese and pesto that delivered big flavor. The Ash Street went in the opposite direction with complexity and boldness, featuring BBQ pulled pork, jalapeño pesto, cilantro, scallions and brick cheese. Having been to Detroit and sampled true Detroit style pizza, this felt like a genuine and well executed homage. The cocktail program deserves just as much praise. Drinks like the Nightmare on Elm Street with brown butter washed bourbon, brandy, lemon, apple sage honey, almond bitters, cranberry bitters and egg white, and the Lone Ranger with fig reposado, black pepper, Grand Marnier, lemon, brown sugar and Turkish tobacco bitters wowed the table with unique and bold flavors. Overall, Bar Sera is a fantastic neighborhood spot that punches well above its weight. Great food, inventive drinks and a lively atmosphere make it well worth a visit when you are in Conshee.

We came here for Valentines dinner this year. We weren't gonna go out this year because the…read morerestaurants in Philly we wanted to go to were already booked. But then when I was looking up their burger week menu I came across the valentines menu and it looked good, so I figured I would give it try. My husband's dinner was alot better than mine so I was eating some of his, even though we always share anyway. He got the oysters with a dragonfruit sauce and they were good. I ordered crab and corn soup with grilled focaccia bread. The soup itself was fine , but it was only half a bowl and not much crab in it. I would have liked more soup instead of the bread. I gave the bread to my husband because we got a good amount of bread for the appetizer and I didn't want to fill up too much. I probably should have ordered the calamari instead , that looked pretty good. My husband's scallops with risotto was very good. Seared perfectly, creamy risotto, good flavor. Normally that is what I like to order, but I got the crab pasta because I love crab. I was disappointed In this dish. The crab tasted a little too fishy like it went bad or something. I also got a number of shells in the crab I had to spit out. I feel like they could have mixed the crab with some kind of seasoning or flavors. It seemed like they just dumped the crab right out of the can into the pasta and didn't even clean the shells out first. And they didn't even put the pasta in any kind of sauce. I would have liked maybe a creamy sauce with it. The pasta was just in like a watery garlic broth, and it broke apart and crab went all in the water and I didn't even have a spoon to pick it up. Dessert was ok. I'm glad we got the dragonfruit cheesecake instead of the chocolate cake, it was refreshing . The tiramisu wasn't bad but it was still somewhat frozen. I was kind of surprised because we are fans of the Pieri group restaurants. We have been to their sister restaurant Stonerose for burger week for a number of years now and love it. We also came to burger week at bar sera the one year and really enjoyed theirs too. I wish they did them separate weeks so we could go to both . Maybe it was just an off night tonite. Sometimes valentines menus aren't as good as their regular menu. Maybe we learned our lesson to go out the week before valentines instead for next year.

This restaurant is a breath of fresh air for Conshohocken…read more With most restaurants in conshy being owned by the same 3 food groups, there isn't much variety. We decided to try Salt & Stone recently since it was a new spot and this place did not disappoint. Upon entering the establishment, we were greeted by none other than the owners. Zara & Dimitri (not great with names but I think that's what they said) were very welcoming and patient as I inquired about all the work they've done with the interior. It looks a lot nicer inside than the previous restaurant. Now the important part. The food. Absolutely incredible. I am still disappointed I didn't try this place earlier. We started with the goat cheese lollipops (amazing), Mezze, and calimari (high quality). After the first bite, I knew we were in for a great dinner. For the main course, I ordered the Rigatoni & my wife ordered the pork chop. Both were top notch. I love a good old fashioned and I enjoy other people's takes on this. Theirs was something different with a pistachio rim. It did not disappoint. These folks know what they're doing and I'm still thinking about that meal over a week later.

The door behind me slammed shut, and the second door squeaked so loudly that I couldn't hear the host speaking to me. Not the best first impression. When we were about to be seated, the host initially placed us at a table. I politely asked if we could have a booth instead, and she looked visibly annoyed and said, "We don't have a booth set up," even though there were clearly open booths available. Our server also seemed annoyed and standoffish at first. I understand everyone can have a bad day, and she did eventually smile later on, but the initial interaction felt uncomfortable. As for the food: The avocado was very bland and we had to add salt. The Brussels sprouts were amazing (the highlight of the meal). My mother's chicken teriyaki was also bland. Our air-fried fries came out cold, though the server did replace them with a fresh batch. I've had good experiences here before, which is why this visit stood out in a negative way. You didn't hit the mark this time, True Food -- you might need some TRUE revisions.
