I wanted to share some constructive feedback after my recent visit. Unfortunately, the service felt a bit unwelcoming from the start. The staff didn't seem particularly friendly, and the cashier appeared irritated, which made the experience less comfortable than expected. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich that's listed as coming on a bagel, but they were out. I completely understand things sell out. However, I was surprised to be charged an additional $2.50 for a different type of bread as a substitute. As someone who works as a barista, I understand how these situations happen, but in a hospitality-focused business, small moments like this can really shape a customer's experience. Overall, the visit felt more transactional than warm. I hope this is something that can be improved, because good hospitality can make a big difference. Overall the food was good and the drink was also good. But like mentioned above there has to be good customer service to round out the experience. read more

Was in the area waiting for someone to finish with an event. Found them on maps and went to yelp to read the reviews. I knew I had to drop in for an iced coffee at minimum. The reviews led me to also try a breakfast sandwich on their homemade focaccia as well. It was good , wasn't expecting forthe egg seemed to have been cooked like a frittata as opposed to a fried egg. The coffee is freshly brewed and high quality. All ingredients including non dairy milk options tasted so fresh and rich. Definitely can tell the quality!! read more

Stopped by for a quick bite while I needed to kill some time in the area. Super cute interior and friendly staff, however, the food and coffee just didn't hit the mark. I got a latte with double shot of espresso but it genuinely tasted like straight milk. And the milk was also a strange consistency.... I got a bagel that was honestly inedible because it had that spongy texture from being microwaved (although I'm pretty sure they asked if I wanted it toasted). read more

Upon entry on a Sunday afternoon, my boo and I found parking in the packed private lot for Pour Richard's with the intention of finding the perfect study spot. The cafe was packed downstairs with light chattering adults catching up and students studying intently. The upstairs is a lovely study spot with nice lighting and clean tables. The menu has a variety of options and I opted for a matcha latte with whole milk, "European size". I enjoyed studying in the second floor with my boo with a warm cup to sip on! I believe that the cafe closes at 2:30pm, but the woman started cleaning the tables and putting the chairs on top at 1:30pm; which cut our intended studying time by an hour. Nevertheless, I have found a lovely gem, and my boo and I look forward to coming back. read more

The cold brew sent me into an orbit and needs a warning label for how incredible and strong it is (lol). Everybody is so lovely and kind in here! I am so sorry, I don't want to leave a bad. But oh my goodness, was my drink horrible. I had a London fog and my friend had a coffee. Both of them had this weird gritty texture. As if someone added cornstarch or sand to it. So it's not the tea, not the coffee... we got almond milk which is always a smooth texture... and that's not what oat milk tastes like or is texture wise, so I'm stumped. I tried multiple times to drink it but the texture was just so off putting. The tea had no flavor as well. Couldn't taste the bergamot or any vanilla flavoring. Just... gritty grainy water with some gritty foam. The barista was kind and the atmosphere is cute though! Maybe it was just a bad batch? Of both tea and coffee? But for $10+ I can't justify returning. I'm so sorry and I truly hope this was just an off day for yall read more

Myself I will always go with their pour/brew of the day, because well its the bomb. Pour Richards menu is impressive with the different ways and flavors you can enjoy a cup of coffee, or tea. Service was good and bad. They were friendly but forced me to get to go cups and bag my pastries for to go even though I wanted for here since they were closing in 20 mins or so, that I understood but then the guy who ordered about 5 mins after me got for here cup and plate... so that irritated me. I was in town for the weekend and searching for a great coffee shop. I stumbled upon Pour Richard's Coffee, and I'm so glad I did! I stopped by on a Saturday morning. The space is cozy but inviting. I ordered a vanilla cold brew with almond milk and it was divine. I wasn't as impressed with the breakfast sandwich I ordered, BUT the coffee and the service more than made up for that. Met a friend for coffee here for the first time on a Wednesday morning. It was good. A little off the main road, in an old building. The space is inviting, in a coffeehouse kind of way. A cute coffee shop with relatively reasonably priced coffee. I got an iced latte with white mocha. I think that raised the price and it was way too sweet, I won't go for the syrup next time. During lunch hours on a weekend they were getting steady business but it wasn't packed. The pastries I glanced over were tempting but I held back. The staff seem very friendly and have a good vibe. My order was prepared quickly and I started a punch card in case I'm in the area again. I really like the rustic aesthetic of the art and structure and the music was pretty good too. As a previous barista, I can say Pour Richard's is honestly my favorite coffee shop in the Philadelphia area. They roast their beans on premises and you can taste the difference. Their coffee is extremely flavorful and never burnt. Whenever I am in the area, I go. I typically get a normal coffee because I love it so much but their lattes are very good as well. I always get a side of almond milk, which is homemade, for my coffee. One of my other favorites is the chai latte, in which I add a shot of espresso to make a dirty chai. Their chai is also made in house. If you are a coffee snob (or not!) this is the place for you. read more

STAFF: Excellent, passionate about their products ,knowledgeable and very friendly. No snobbiness or pretension here. Full parking and easily reached off route 30. I had a cardamon and clove tea and a day old pastry that was 40 percent off and totally fine. Good background music is playing and it adds to the atmosphere rather than being obtrusive. This is my favorite coffee spot!!! I've been searching for a nice coffee house where I can hunker down with a good brew and get work done on my laptop for soooo long, and my search is finally over!!! The baristas are friendly, clearly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the different beans and brewing processes, and very willing to explain the intricacies and nuances behind each drink/bean/brew mechanism! There are a ton of brew styles, beans, teas, and homemade flavor syrups to choose from. My favorite is the white mocha... yum! I LOVEEEE that their iced coffees have COFFEE ICE CUBES, so your drink stays cold without getting watered-down! They sell a variety of muffins, bagels, and pastries, as well as a variety of homemade sandwiches, quiches, and soups! I LOVE that this place is zero-waste if you eat-in; they use glassware for all drinks and ceramic plates, so there is nothing to throw away! They also use really high-quality cardboard straws; no plastic waste, and straws don't crumble and soften if you leave them in your coffee for two hours haha! There is plenty of seating; there are two bar counters, tons of two-tops (that can be pushed together if you have a larger group), a high round table, and two comfy lounge chairs downstairs. The upstairs portion (which is newer, and only open Thursday-Monday) has more bar seating, comfy chairs, and TONS of larger tables and two-tops. There are outlets EVERYWHERE, so you don't have to awkwardly jostle around or negotiate with others for a spot to charge your computer, haha! There really aren't any coffeehouses like this between Malvern and Devon, as far as I'm aware, which makes this place especially unique! read more

I am an avid Pour Richard's Coffee customer and my go to breakfast is the lox bagel with an iced matcha on the side. I know i'll have a good day when I start my day with this meal... BUT lately I don't know if it's just gotten busier or different staff than the summer crew, but they have been extremely slacking on how they make their lox bagel. It is sloppily made with barely any smoked salmon. It's not worth the price the past several times. I hope they can read this review as constructive criticism because I do think everything they usually do and make is fantastic but definitely dropping the ball the past couple months. read more

This was an unexpected coffee experience! The coffee shop is in little town, about a forty minute drive from downtown Philadelphia, off the beaten path away form the main avenue in Berwyn. As soon as you as you arrive you can appreciate the work and also the investment that went to this place to make it look and feel comfortable attracting both the young and the mature clientele; at the same time it has this rustic-cabin like feel that simply makes you want to stay and and lounge for a while and church up on some email work on your phone maybe. Also this place has interesting touches such as the bath moron sings and the the penny decorated bar that gives it a unique look and atmosphere. Getting to the coffee, because no matter how great or trendy the place is, it's all about the syrupy black liquid that comes out of those marvels of machines! Being the morning I started with a 6oz cappuccino, the taste was delicious, strong and bold not being taken over by the sweetness of the milk. I could still make the taste of the chocolaty notes of the espresso which is a great thing(thunder lightning) is their own roast of that they use for espresso extracted off a beautiful Syneso machine. My next was with the Trifecta, I find that this machines are expensive for what they deliver, for example I would rather have a brew on a pour over with a Chemex or a V-60 than a trifecta. I had their Salvador Monte Alto which are very good beans, on the sweet side with vanilla and honey favor notes, this is one of my favorites however like always the Trifecta has not a positive note from me, too hot and robbed the delicate flavors of the coffee. The reason for the four star instead of a five, is because of the baristas, even though they are knowledgeable and great at what they do, they are not in that level of customer service. They are very good with locals, friendly and have recommendations and make small pleasant talk, but with newcomers like myself are a bit distant and unease. One of the baristas did had a few recommendations and asked if I like my trifecta brew(I did but that machine is simply not my favorite). it could be the morning or it could be that they are very young...they could also try to have their station and espresso machine cleaner. In any case I would love to see them in the next level, because for sure their coffee is. THIS PLACE IS WORTH IT..... This is in small words the review: great place, great coffee and ask for you brew to be in the Chemex or the exotic balance syphon Brewer!! I will come next weekend :) It was a new girl barista and she definitely is plus to this place, super friendly and with a huge bright smile! She had also working energy with one of the other guy barista who is also friendly there. The down side of it is that the Cubano is not really a Cafecito Cubano(Cuban espresso, is nothing more than the first drops of the espresso with sugar and than mixed as its extracting the rest) the one they made was just an espresso with a little bit of cold milk. They did it with such smiles and they do have great drop coffee and Method brewing to keep coming back too though :) read more

This place deserves 4.5 stars. Many options, including a trifecta machine, aero press, and a vacuum pot (forgot what it's called) plus kind baristas to explain what all these things are. You can just a drip or one of their specialty roasts, and it's not intimidating or hipster so no pressure to be fancy. Plus fresh pastries + a basket of 40% off day old pastries, lots of comfortable seating, tons of windows, a nice clean bathroom, what more could I ask for? My husband and I are staying at the Marriott in Devon and this will be our go to place since it's just .1 mile away and opens at 6am -- no excuses here. read more

Their coffee is some of the best in the area. They compete with Gryphon in Wayne. The food is not that great, but I am there for the coffee. The place is always jammed with customers.
