This is the second time I visited this location. I recall the first being not stellar, but wanted to give it another chance, especially since I LOVE the Collegeville location. Unfortunately, the coffee was undrinkable. It's almost like the machine that was used needed a cleaning with how terrible the taste was. My husband got a cappuccino and he thought I got him the wrong drink. It has an aftertaste that lingered for minutes. My latte was poorly flavored and the same espresso that made his cappuccino undrinkable, overpowered my drink. I don't write poor reviews often, but neither of us could stomach more than a few sips. With that said, we were frequent visitors of the Collegeville location before we moved and would recommend that location with five stars. read more

Valerio is located in an awkward location of unused corporate offices, but it could in some weird way be deemed as hipster. Interesting choice. I ordered a beach bum, a caramel cold brew, because it was recommended by the barista. It was about $7 for a coffee which is absurd, and the drink was slightly too sweet for me. Service and ambiance isn't particularly worth mentioning. It's a fine coffee shop, just not for me. read more

Coffee was decent. We built our own breakfast sandwiches with egg, cheese, cream cheese, and vegan sausage- adding about $5 extra total in added toppings. When we got home, both sandwiches only had egg and cheese and nothing else we added. The added toppings were on the receipt too, just annoying paying for things you don't even receive on both items and waiting 20 mins for the order to be wrong. read more

It wasn't busy in the early afternoon and I was able to chat comfortably here with a friend as we drank our PSLs, "the undergrad" pumpkin spice latte. I don't usually drink PSLs but this one was pretty yummy. While it is on the pricier side for coffee relative to the size, I'd admit it's pretty much in line with other cafes in the area and maybe slightly better quality and service. Better than Starbucks for sure. Still, I'd come more often if it were cheaper. I recognized a lot of the music and had to resist singing along a lot of the time. I'm glad they have seating available despite the spot being spot. I wish they were open later but understand limitations for the sake of employee wellness. Overall it was pretty cute! read more

In a sea of commercial warehouses you will find an oasis of refreshment. This hidden gem off the beaten path is well worth the visit. They have a lovely selection of in house roasted coffees and a very large selection of fair trade organic beans. The food here is surprisingly diverse. Homemade pastries, bagels from Everything Bagel, unique quiches, and various sandwiches. The salted Carmel cookie was so amazing! Also tried a slice of the sweet potato crust quiche. The service was very kind and they took time to answer all my questions. They even showed me all the roasting equipment in the back. This is a great place for a quick caffeine stop and a bite! Not to mention freshly roasted beans... which is hard to find around here. read more

I come here at least once a week for a mid day pick me up of fun coffee, a delish pastry (vegan and GF options along with traditional recipes), or even a bagel or chicken salad sandwich. Everyone is polite and always gets the order right. The space is cozy and clean. Bagged coffee beans can be purchased and ground to customer's preference to take home. Valerio is a delight for breakfast. The coffee is consistently very good. The breakfast food menu is a mix of egg sandwiches, baked goods (such as scones) and specialty items. Service is always prompt and friendly. The dining area is nicely appointed and kept clean. My one complaint would be that the indoor dining area is rather limited in size, though I'd note that we generally don't have a problem finding a table. read more

Stopped by to try their summer special drinks and grab a light lunch. I tried the mocha nut latte, which was basically a mocha with coconut and almond milk (I love mocha lattes!) This is seriously the best coffee on the planet. I wasted so much money at Starbucks who never seem to make my coffee right most of the time it tastes like milk. Valerio's coffee has the right fresh coffee taste and they don't overpower it with too much syrup and milk. Also the bagels and quiche are delicious too! So glad I found them. Only negative is they are back in the corporate area and unless we spread the word there is no sign on the main road. They are literally 2 minutes away from Starbucks on trooper road,it's worth the dive to check them out. read more

I think Valerio has the potential to be really great. The space is cute, has a lot of fun merchandise to browse and look at, and has great outdoor seating. My husband and I were the only people in the cafe except for a small group outside but it still seemed a bit chaotic during our visit. Paperwork was out and the staff seemed a bit confused. It seemed like there were still working out some kinks which is totally fine BUT we didn't love the coffee. I think that maybe the coffee itself was good, but the shots weren't pulled correctly. Leaving a bitter (and almost sour) aftertaste with my iced almond milk latte. Since I don't live in the area I won't be back BUT I think that things could turn around for them for sure. I'm on an mission to try new coffee places, and this one did not disappoint. They have so many new flavors and options. They have a summer menu, and i tried the butterbeer cold brew and my sister tried the summer love latte (strawberry + white chocolate latte). I'm not a huge fan of cold brew but this one was so good. We also both got the sweet toast, and this was super good too. I will probably come back to try other flavors and menu items. They also make their own coffee!! I'm so impressed with this place and it's currently at the top of my list, try this place if you haven't!!! read more

I have been buying Valerio's Espresso Roast for a while now and it is superb. $15.15 gets you a full pound of Peruvian coffee that is essentially a medium roast (the espresso roast is between a medium and a dark roast--not dark, as is often assumed). The coffee beans are wonderfully fragrant when ground and the bloom they make when doing a pourover is impressive. Lots of creamy, aromatic coffee slurry rises up like a soufflé as the first 30 grams of water pre-wet the grounds. As the rest of the water is added, this coffee produces a beautiful crema that usually has me licking the spoon I use to stir the slurry. This is almost always attended with an irrepressible "Yum!" The coffee in the cup is rich, flavorful, and has a lot of body. I find that 17 grams of these beans to 340 grams of water (i.e., 12 ounces) is about right; they are so full of flavor that 20 grams is a bit too strong. At the right proportion of coffee to water, you'll be rewarded with a rich, balanced cup, with a distinct dark chocolate note and just a hint of pleasing bitterness to balance out the sweetness. No burnt coffee notes or sourness to be found whatsoever. (If you haven't guessed, I drink my coffee black. Rule of thumb: If your coffee doesn't taste good black, it isn't good coffee.) Bottom line: This is really, really good coffee. I encourage others to support Valerio because they know what they're doing. The Espresso blend is excellent and a good value. Any Manhattan neighborhood would be lucky to have this roaster; let's show our appreciation for them here in Audubon. As I branch out and try some of their other varieties, I'll update this review. read more

My wife and I love our weekly trip to Valerio. The coffee is amazing. She gets the Cold Brew and I normally get the Slow Pour Congo. By far the best cup of coffee I have ever had. We love sitting outside on their small deck. Inside is very comfortable and always smells great thanks to the coffee. Michelle and Irene are great employees who we always enjoy talking with. This is a great coffee shop with a lovely atmosphere. They have outstanding coffee and also a great selection of teas. I like the pour-overs but they make all of the usual espresso drinks as well. The shop is welcoming and comfortable inside. There is also a gorgeous patio where you can enjoy your coffee outside in a garden when there grow a lot of the produce used on the menu. There is a special quiche every day, delicious chicken salad, and plenty of baked goods. We brew their coffee at home as well. This place is a great little coffee shop. The workers are so very friendly and knowledgeable. The choices are many and all the varieties of espresso cups that they offer are pulled well with the right amount of acidity and bitterness. The offer a good amount of fresh pastries and other things to bring home. They offer discounts if you "bring your own 16oz mug". They also have great teas and smoothies. Lame. Don't bother stopping for breakfast on a work morning. Walked up to the door at 7:43 and it was locked. The 2 employees inside looked right at me and kept working. Posted hours are 8AM. Who opens for breakfast at 8 on a work morning?? Most people are already in their office by 8. Maybe they're opening early for lunch?? I dunno. Won't waste my time going back. Clearly they're not interested in competing in the breakfast market. Too bad. I was happy to have the option to not stop at a huge, chain restaurant.
