Ordered 2 iced teas. Was charged more than the listed price on the board. Person pretended to not know what was on the board and made it a big todo. Iced teas were bad- either the water that was used was way too hot was used or it had been reboiled a few times, or they used the cheapest tea possible. So I am always on the hunt for a good bakery with good bread. Based on the pictures and some reviews, I headed here early on Sunday morning. I think they have made some marked changes from the early days. The display case of baked items is small and gets replenished. I only saw one loaf of features bread which appeared to be selling by the slice. There were two people behind the counter with one barista and one person taking orders and replenishing the baked goods. There was one person ahead of me who ordered several things but they did not start making the coffee until the items were all paid for and a paper ticket produced. Needless to say, it took 10 minutes to get a coffee made and leave and that's with it not being busy. The cakes looked ok, but not as appealing as some of the picture. Parking is a hassle. All street parking in downtown Phoenixville. Not worth the hassle. Ok for coffee if I'm walking the town anyway and not in a hurry read more

One of the first 3rd wave Java spots in Phoenixville and always worth a visit if you are passing through. Baked goods used to have more variety. Not really a place to look for a filling breakfast pastry to go with your coffee. Try Heart Stone for that. The weird thing is the quality of the coffee swings around wildly. One day, you can find a barista award worthy cortado, the next day pour down the sink latte, one day an Americano with lovely caramelized notes and another day, ashtray notes highlghting their brew. I just visited Soltane Cafe for the first time. I liked how welcoming the environment is. They give off the feels of being local, community oriented and inclusive. I decided to order a lavender honey oat milk latte and a pineapple ginger scone. I wish I could taste a bit more of the lavender flavor but overall the latte was alright. I enjoyed the scone and would recommend it. I also thought the to-go cup had a cute designed and appreciated the message they put on their cup sleeves. They have an array pastries/food that includes quiche, scones, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, and they said they have croissants usually starting mid-week. First time checking this cafe out and i will definitely be back. Very cute and cozy inside with friendly service. I ordered the matcha latte and my bf ordered the drip coffee. Both delicious! Very tasty cappuccino, fast + friendly service, and my mother loved the cannoli style pastry!

My coffee spot deserves 5 stars because it's a mission centered business. It's associated with Camphill Village, and is therefore inclusive in its hiring of staff, has a vegetarian menu, and sources locally. The baristas are friendly and make an effort to get to know you if you are a regular. Yes, it may take a while for a latte if it's busy and they have to follow food safety standards when heating up breakfast sandwiches (which takes time and they let you know when you order). I am ok with that because the money you spend here is staying locally and supporting a non-profit. read more

Wow. Just wow. The service is always top notch and friendly. The baked goods are amazing. I've tried the chai, which they make to your specifications and the hot chocolate. Both were excellent. The atmosphere is very relaxed, but the front can get crowded very quickly. Prices are a little higher because tax and tip are included. The coffee and pastries here are delicious! They offer solid croissants (flakey!!!!!) and quiches, along with other goodies like scones, cookies, and loaves of bread! There are some vegan baked good options as well. Coffee here is super flavorful and not watery...great for the coffee aficionados! Sometimes there's staff-concocted, specialty beverages available. Street parking is available as they're right on Bridge, and across the street from the lot behind what was Buho's. Inside it's very cozy, both in terms of the local art decor,zero and the dozen or so seats. FYI - tip is included in the price of items as stated on their menu board! read more

Popped in while in Phoenixville. Nice spot to do work with a really good latte. Only one little issue... I had a great table by the window, set up my work station, sipping a creamy, rich latte...oh, great, they close in 10 minutes! Now, they were very gracious and in no way tried to rush me out, however, I always feel empathy for the workers who want to go home after a day of work. I packed up all my paraphernalia and left. Why do coffee shops always close so early? Is it the caffeine after 3pm? 6pm? I love a good cup of coffee after dinner, no matter what time that is...sigh. read more

Love this place. Our coffee/lattes were great and our croissants were very good and flaky. Everything here is very high quality and almost completely local and/or organic. So just for the coffee and food I'd give this place 5 stars. Better yet, though, this place is part of Camphill Soltane which is an awesome community that helps those with disabilities. A lot of folks from the community work at this bakery and everyone could not be friendlier. So drink your coffee and eat your pastry knowing that you're supporting a great cause. Not a bad place but not an awesome place either. The expresso was sour and I am not sure how or what that means but it was. The chocolate croissant was very good! Seating sparse but if you don't mind sharing then you will probably be okay. The menu is short and sweet. Coffee drinks and maybe a dozen types of pastries. The employees there are nice and patient. I did not use the bathroom. Phoenixville has lots of great places and this one could be one of them. I will give them another shot and let you know. read more

I would give negative stars if I could. Since the place is in downtown Phoenixville, parking is a challenge. I stopped by for coffee and snacks around noon time on Sunday. It was so crowded. Cafe is tiny. They have a little chalkboard on the wall for menu, which you can barely see. Place is loud and annoying. I decided to get my favorite cafe snack - parfait. It costs me $5.50. Nothing but yogurt and granola you can get from any generic food store. At this price, I do expect something homemade, fruits from local farms, or organic ingredients. The worst $5.50 I ever spent. It's like an old world café, not through some pretentious décor, but through the sincerity flowing in the air. You might often see groups customers with special needs. That's right. It's part of Camphill saltine which is a community that helps people with special needs. Their artisan brand and pastries are either made from ingredients from local farm and/or organic. They're different from what you get from anywhere else. Their direct trade coffee and espresso are delicious and fresh. Service is always honest and friendly. They give you 100% of personal attention. When I walk out of Soltane, I always feel good for rest of the day, knowing people still care. read more

Just stopped in for the first time today after lunch in Phoenixville and WOW, I can say I've officially had the best chai latte ever! I love chai tea, but whenever I get a latte from the overly sweetened, boxed concentrates, I am always sorely disappointed. Not here! It may take 2 extra minutes, but the barista steeped actual tea and blended a bit of maple syrup into it and the difference is unbelievable! Just delicious and only a bit sweet.
