I had a lovely first experience at Turning Point in Blue Bell. A friend suggested meeting there for lunch and I was excited to see they had all-day breakfast as an option. While it was crowded we were waited on quickly and had service that was attentive but not overbearing. We started with cinnamon rolls that were perfectly soft and warm and came with a side of extra icing, which was a really nice touch. For lunch I had shrimp and grits. The flavor was good and presentation was nice. The shrimp were small, but there was a generous amount which helped offset the size. The space is open and has a nice mix of tables and booths. There are a lot of large windows, and it was freezing on the day we went so the restaurant interior was also freezing. They do have a fireplace, which is a nice touch, but didn't help with warmth. Perfect place to camp out for brunch on a drizzly autumn day! There were a bunch of coffee options -- I could've gone for any of them, but they were on the pricier side. I settled for the house cold brew, which was great. Love that it came in its own flask and a coffee cube. I also requested milk on the side in lieu of creamer or sweet foam. Both the Nashville spicy honey wrap and the chicken pesto panini hit the spot. Next time I'm in town, I'll definitely go for the Nashville wrap again. That sweet, savory, and very mildly spicy chicken was just *chef's kiss* Service was fast, and our server was super sweet and attentive! Visited TP @ Blue Bell this past Saturday for a quarterly Girl's Meet Up. What a pleasant experience! Atmosphere was lively but not loud. Food was delicious. Service: EXCELLENT! Our server, Ami was amazing! She was very friendly & engaging and made the three if us feel like she'd prepared our meals herself, just for us. This location in blue bell is always hit or miss. My last visit was amazing however, this visit the staff overwhelmed and didn't have a good handle on dealing with the volume. Kitchen was backed up and waiters were just standing around. I sat at the bar with no place settings for at least 20 minutes. When my food finally arrived it looked great and tasted good. read more

Turning Point just turned into my one of my favorite breakfast joints. It's upscale diner vibes were great and we were very impressed with our service. Seated right away on a Sunday morning, and were blown away with the vast menu options. It was like a First Watch but way better. What we snagged: -French press coffee. Very great concept. Very fresh coffee. -Healthy juices. Twas a LONG evening before and needed some quick hydration. Very tasty and flavorful. -Breakfast Combo. Definitely a good breakfast/brunch spot with some fun seasonal options! Inside the restaurant was spacious and cozy, our waitress was pleasant and attentive. My other half enjoyed a peanut butter cup hot chocolate which was delicious! I had the pumpkin cold brew which was also great. For food he had the breakfast combo and added the specialty pumpkin spice pancakes for a small upcharge which was well worth it, they were really good! *ALLERGY/VEGANS PLEASE READ* *UPDATE* Please see original review at the bottom. It is now 2 days since we have eaten here. I just got off the phone with the manger named Jen- who was also on duty while we ate there on Mother's Day. I called to explain that both my kids had severe allergic reactions and other people with allergies or dietary restrictions should know, honestly, that the grill is contaminated. She was EXTREMELY defense and was actually arguing with me. Yes there is an asterisk on the menu (by law) stating there may be contamination, but we had a false feeling of assurance the grill was properly cleaned. I explained that I understand the risk- and we accepted that risk as parents- but this situation could easily be avoided in the future with other children/people with allergies. God forbid someone else is hospitalized or worse- when it could have been clearly stated that there is in fact grill contamination. After my kids reactions, we know there truly is contamination. Jen was very defensive/standoffish and I responded that her lack of empathy, and lack of apology during the phone call, was disturbing. Again I explained I'm simply trying to avoid this situation happening with another family and how important this is to be taken seriously. I am beyond disappointed with this outcome and will be reaching out to corporate. Absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. Especially from a manager in the culinary industry. *original review below* If you have allergy concerns DO NOT eat here. If you are a vegan, be aware there is, at minimum, egg contamination on the grill. I want to say our server was very nice and we like Turning Point. My wife and I frequent the TP in North Wales. My main issue today is with the kitchen/managment. Our children have food allergies- eggs, dairy, nuts, sesame- this was the first time we took them with us (Blue Bell). After speaking with our server, (I also called in advance to confirm dietary restrictions) we were assured the vegan eggs and vegan pancakes are cooked on a special clean part of the grill with no contamination to dairy/eggs and the bacon cooked away from allergens as well. Long story short, BOTH OF MY CHILDREN had severe egg allergic reactions to the pancakes. Eggs are the only food allergy they have in common. My 3yo daughter ate more than my son and threw up all her food when we got home. My 6yo son had a stomach ache and tingling in his mouth/throat. We were not charged for our kids food. I didn't get to eat my meal as I was tending to my son who had the allergic reaction first. We were given a gift certificate for 2 complimentary entrees and we were still charged $50 for our food. I DID pay the bill and tip our server 20% as this was not her fault. I'm not happy with this exchange today and on top of the trauma to our kids, was a drag on Mother's Day. The rest of the day we tended to our children's health. We take our kids allergies very seriously and understand the risk with eating outside of the house. We are very careful and thoroughly vet where we eat. The reassurance from staff that our food would be safe gave us a false feeling of security and in turn caused pain and discomfort for our children. Again, be aware if you have food allergies or are vegan and are looking to avoid animal product contamination. Their food is not safe as it is advertised. Turning point makes for a good brunch spot if you don't have allergies or dietary limitations. I had been looking forward to going to Turning Point for quite some time. We decided to stop in for brunch on Valentine's Day. It was extremely busy, which I expected. When we finally got our meal, it was delicious! The cold brew came in this HUGE pitcher, with a cold brew ice cube, and I got cold foam on the side. It was fun to prepare myself, and was an absolute steal in terms of price for all that coffee (for just one person! Lol). I got the GOAT omelette which was delicious as well. I will 100% be going back. However, the ways in which this place is ran is questionable. We waited to be sat for about 15 minutes. Once sat, we waited probably 25~ minutes for a waitress to come over. Again, it was busy. But what was frustrating was that the entire front part of the dining area was empty, and every table was dirty and waiting to be cleared. I did not see one table be cleared during the 15 minutes we waited for a seat. And more and more people were coming in, and yet no tables were cleared. There were only a few young girls waiting on the entire restaurant (!!!! That's hard work !!!!), so I do not fault them for that! But I saw what appeared to be a general manager running drinks and coffees to tables. Just drinks and coffees. It felt unfair to the waitresses for their boss to be stepping in when they're so overwhelmed but not help them clear tables so that the growing crowd could be sat. After finally being sat, I saw our server clear 2 tables in the entire time we were there. I wish that the people working there had the help they needed to be able to fully support the restaurant when it's that busy. TO BE FAIR! It was Valentine's Day AND the Eagles parade, so there were probably several unplanned for call-offs. Either way, wish that manager would have helped them out more. Everything we had was delicious. Like over the top amazing. Very spacious restaurant. The decor was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The bacon apple thing OMG! We went with our friends yesterday. Honestly, I don't see the appeal. Everything seems average and slightly overpriced. The chicken in my panini was quite dry. The service is subpar: 1) they sat us at a wet table, so we asked if they could wipe the table dry--we were told to let the table air dry on its own; 2) we waited for a solid 15 minutes before the waitress remembered to take the credit card. Looking for a comfort food breakfast in a new-to-us town, Yelp came through. This classy, friendly and stylish eatery drew us in. We both ordered scrambled eggs, my friend is super fussy about how they are done, and he gave their take high marks. I had a "skillet" with my eggs and have to agree - the chef knows his/her trade. I had OJ and it tasted like fresh squeezed. Yum! Great atmosphere, airy and inviting without too much kitsch! Good wait staff, prompt and attentive. The only disappointments were the bland home fries. I'm used to Jersey diner fries - greasy, yet crispy. We were their first customers on Sunday so maybe the grill needed a few more orders to season up? And the English muffin was not Thomas' - the best around. My first time experience was not great. I was with 1 other person and it had taken way too long for everything. After being seated, we waited 10 minutes to be approached. We gave our order once the waitress arrived and waited another 10 minutes for our coffee. The coffee was luke warm at best. Waited 30 minutes to receive our food. This ticked me off as we noticed two other groups of people who were seated after us leaving by the time we received our food. My food was barely warm. My breakfast potato's were hard, eggs and sausages were room temp, and my waffle was room temp and overcooked. I'm normally in and out of diners in 35 minutes if I can help it. First time trying this place. It reminded me of First Watch but the interior is way brighter and curiously designed to look like you are dining next to a big colonial-style home. Or like eating in someone's yard. We went on a Saturday morning and they were swamped with big parties and baseball teams waiting for tables. There was lots of staff on hand and it appeared all the tables were being well attended to! We found two spots at the bar top. Our server was very bubbly and greeted us quickly. Coffee was just ok. I ordered the smoked salmon benedict with a side of Taylor pork roll. My better half had the Wilbur Skillet and side of a blueberry pancake. I have been to other Turning Point locations before (Warrington and Upper Dublin) and saw they have this location in Blue Bell. My friend and I were looking to meet up and were trying to find the half way point, and saw this restaurant. The parking lot was pretty crowded, but I was thankful that I got a spot second from the front. When we walked inside, the hostess seemed to be walking around really busy and told us she would be right with us. We waited in the entrance and chatted to each other to pass the time. We were probably waiting around 7 minutes (which isn't too bad). The hostess finally approached us, but seemed a little annoyed and said "Are you ladies ready for your table?" She probably didn't mean anything by it, but to me, she had a tone of agitation. We agreed and followed her to our table. We were seated at a booth (which is never my friend as a plus size person). Thankfully I was able to get in, but I don't believe the tables moved (it looked like they were bolted to the wall, which doesn't allow people to make room). I wished we were seated in the main dining area, as the booths were off in a little corner with five other booths and seemed to have plain walls and no decorations near by. I have been to many Turning Points, but this was my friend's first time at a Turning Point location, so I wanted her to have the best experience with ambiance. Our waitress (Amanda) was super kind and friendly! I ordered the London Fog (one of the seasonal drinks) and it was absolutely delicious!!!! I wish they could keep that on their regular menu! I also ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast. It was good, but I've had it better at the other locations. TLDR: Food that makes it to the table will taste great. But you are rolling the dice on recieving a complete dish that you paid for. Just think of it as a reverse black friday deal, pay full price get 50% of your food. Came here for a Sunday brunch with family. The ambiance was very busy, typically a good sign, and has a decent decor. Service was acceptable for how busy it was until food was served. The real let down was once food was served. Food/Drinks: -French Press Coffee: 4/5 - its decent, but a little pricey for a coffee you make yourself. Personally I would stick with the normal drip coffee that is unlimited. -Shashuka: 1/5 - This dish has potential but my experience was unsatisfactory. Once my food made it to the table I realized my dish was sparse. It was missing the goat cheese, sour cream, peppers, onions, and cilantro. So basically I was served 3 poached eggs with a tomato sauce with bread. I pointed out the missing ingredients, was told they were out of everything but could get me sour cream. So that was nice of them to be able to provide an ingredient that comes with the dish as an after thought. I will say they executed the 2 ingredient dish very well. Eggs were cooked perfectly and the tomato sauce was well seasoned. I just wish I had been informed of missing ingredients ahead of time so I would have had time to order a different dish. - Southern Fried Chicken and Waffles: 5/5 - Luckily my fiance was unable to finish her meal and I got to finish her dish off. I workout super close to the Blue Bell Turning Point and was so excited to treat myself and friends with a nice healthy breakfast. I normally go to the North Wales Turning Point and the avocado toast is always on point and never disappoints. I expected to receive the same experience from any Turning Point I go to. But I was highly upset about my avocado toast when I got to work. I ordered 3 avocado toast to go, one for me and then the other 2 for my friends. We all had a tough week and thought this would be a nice surprise to give to them. Pictures will show you the difference. Blue Bell Turning Point- it looked like smeared avocado on toast..thin like butter, some parts had a lot of avocado but it seemed like there wasnt enough avocados. No cracker pepper and had a lot of salt. Tomatoes looked sad. North Wales Turning Point- avocado was generously on top of the toast. Cracker pepper and nice amount of salt. Also the tomatoes were so fresh! I arrived at the Blue Bell turning point right when it opened this was a Thursday morning and wasn't crowded at all. Honestly don't feel that turning point is worth all the price. The food doesn't even taste that great and the service is just alright. The waitresses don't really check up on you. The potatoes that come on the side are always too salty. The iced vanilla chai that I always get is always too milky (tastes more like milk with a sprinkle of chai). I would come here if I was meeting up with a friend for last minute brunch but would think it would be worth the wait during busy brunch times. read more

Special (minor) covid note: the coffee spout was left open (they slide shut). Not a confidence booster on whatever droplets might have been inadvertently dropped in with all changing of hands from store-delivery. Note to management: you were helpful and receptive on the phone, but someone needs to review the quality of your food before it's out of the door. This is a place that makes its name on in-person brunch. With covid, people are trying their best to stay in business, this food is unfortunately not the right quality to sustain the current environment. Came here twice and so far we love it. I think this might be our go to for now. Food and service is great! Another server bought out food and once she realize the food was for our baby, she brought the food back to the kitchen and placed the food on a cold plate so my baby doesn't burn herself.
