Happy Hour at The Stone Rose in Conshohocken. Sliders with maple bacon jam & a white cheddar sauce, brie croquettes, and a trio of fries & dipping sauces. Both the food & service were excellent!

Scallops and Miso Sweet Potato

It's a small restaurant with very big shoes - but they deliver. On our first visit, they welcomed us with Prosecco, which was a lovely treat. We got the short ribs and truffle Mac & cheese to start - which was a bit of heaven in Conshy. We ordered the pan seared scallops, and crab and avocado salad to share - almost fairly. We enjoyed the scallops and the crab salad so much there was no room for dessert. Service was top rate, beer selection was ok, they're more of wine and cocktail place. We have come back a few more times - even for happy hour. Other great dishes include the Wagyu sliders and the double bone-in pork chop. Bar area is a bit louder than the rear dining room, but it's lively and fun. Always great food, always fine service, super people. Al bacio!

I found this spot while looking for a place to dine not far from my workplace; my friend made reservations for us... When we arrived, we were warmly greeted and seated. My friend knew exactly what he wanted but I was a little indecisive however, after talking to the waitress, I decided on the Quesabirria Chicken Tacos with a side salad (the Stone Rose) and my friend ordered the Stone Rose with salmon added. My tacos and salad were delicious - the tacos had the perfect ratio of cheese and chicken and the broth was great too; the salad was fresh and tasty. My friend cleaned his plate... I almost forgot about the drinks - we both ordered The Cucumber as a mocktail, the drink was refreshing, with the perfect amount of sweetness (for my palate). Before we left, a slice of what I think was Limoncello cheesecake was brought out with a candle (it was my bday) - the cake was soooo good! The ambiance was on point too - I can't remember all that I heard but it was definitely good music. I absolutely love this spot! Neither of us had any complaints and the staff that we interacted with were all pleasant, professional and attentive. I look forward to returning!

Short Rib Over Mac & Cheese

Plain storefront but beautifully presented and delicious food!!! The short ribs with truffle mac was definitely my favorite. Such a unique take, frying the mac and cheese and the creamy sauce beneath. The house bread and butter is also amazing. The bread soaks all the sauce and broth right up.

Our waitress was great, giving us just the right amount of time to order. She never wrote anything down. She remembered everything! I'm still trying to figure out how they manage to do that! We decided on the Cheesesteak Eggrolls, Buffalo Jumbo Shrimp, Crab Dip and Skillet Cornbread for an appetizer. Everything was delicious. The shrimp are pretty big, and just pop in your mouth when you bite into it! Eggrolls, crispy on the outside, flavorful on the inside! Crab dip was creamy & delicious, Skillet Cornbread is always a favorite for me! For my entree, I chose a Chicken Chopped Salad with Chipotle Ranch dressing. It was pretty good. This was my first time ordering this and I would definitely order it again. It was a large portion, already mixed well, with plenty of chicken and ranch dressing. I loved it and it paired well with the cornbread. I even had enough for another meal. What I appreciated the most , is that we were not rushed. We sat and laughed and talked for as long as we wanted. We didn't feel rushed! I really appreciate that! We had a great time and a great meal. I would definitely recommend!

Recently, The Godfather of Meat did a keen review and video, in which everything looked awesome. It took us about 45 minutes from Emmaus, and it was worth the trip. House made roasted beef with the house gravy on a sensational Kaiser roll -- was what we came for and they delivered! Piled high and fresh with provolone cheese. This is the best beef sandwich I have had in decades. Simple quality at its finest! This has quickly become my gold standard classic beef sandwich. The "Matt Fries", were interesting and completely unique: fresh crispy fries topped with generous black pepper, old bay seasoning, Parmesan cheese and Turkey gravy. It worked! We enjoyed them and the large portion was more than enough for 2-3 people. Steph Rush very much enjoyed the mussels in red sauce -- another generous portion, served with was bread. I had an order of the cold shrimp , which is weekends only. Fresh, cooked perfectly and extra horseradish in the cocktail sauce by request. We were overjoyed with what we ordered and I love they have birch beer on tap, my favorite! The joint was packed and busy, our waitress had her hands full in her section. We are looking forward to a return trip ! #rushieeats

Friends suggested we visit The Daisy Tavern for a birthday dinner. It was busy on a Saturday night…read morebefore a snowstorm, but we had reservations and were quickly shown to our table. The decor has a California farmhouse feel with lots of wood accents and open shelving. Fortunately, we were given a quieter table in the corner off the main dining room although even that room was loud. We started off with drinks and appetizers. The Orchard and Oak bourbon cocktail in a tall glass tasted like a winter drink and was slightly sweet. We shared Daisy's Nuggets which I would definitely order again. Finally, nuggets with a little heat! A few more blue cheese crumbles would have been appreciated though. We also decided to try the Smoke Show pizza which was fabulous even though I'm usually not a fan of thicker crust pizza. I especially enjoyed the combination of flavors including the ricotta on top. As an entree, my husband ordered the Short Rib Ravioli which wouldn't have been enough for him without all the appetizers as the portion was small. It seemed more like an appetizer portion than an entree. The Smash Burger, however, was a hit. Our server sang the praises of Manny's Mussels saying you could drink the broth as a soup. Unfortunately, that was not the case as the broth was too oily. Also, there weren't many mussels. Additionally, the timing of these entrees was terrible. As we were enjoying our appetizers, the mussels and burger were brought out by a food runner. It seemed as though there was no communication between the food runner and the server who later apologized for the food coming out too early. Also, despite noting it on our reservation and actually calling and speaking to someone named Lily, our birthday chocolate cake was again brought out by an oblivious food runner with no candle. I asked him to please put a candle in it, and it was brought out a second time with a candle. Additionally, our first cup of decaf was lukewarm despite our server saying she had just made a fresh pot. Our second cup was a bit warmer. Overall, we enjoyed our food and the ambiance. However, the kitchen needs a system to communicate with the servers, food runners, and reservationists in order to make it a better experience for diners.

We started with the roasted tomato and fennel burrata. I have no idea how they make the sauce it comes with, but it's seriously so good, perfectly sweet and savory. We also tried the smoked trout board. We had never really gotten the whole tinned fish thing before, but this totally changed our minds. It came with Persian cucumbers, radishes with balsamic, capers, grilled sourdough, and this really good spiced labneh. Everything just worked together so well, and somehow it felt light and fresh instead of heavy. For mains, we got the lollipop lamb chops and the crab tower, and both were amazing. The lamb was cooked perfectly and came with this pea purée that we couldn't stop talking about. The garlic, honey, and rosemary flavors were so good. The crab tower honestly felt like spring on a plate. The mango, avocado, and red onion with the crab and that ginger lime dressing were just such a good combo, and the little kick from the sriracha aioli was perfect. Even the chips on the side were really good, which you don't always expect. We also loved the drinks, they were super creative and had really fresh spring vibes that went so well with everything we ordered. Overall, such a great experience. We'll definitely be back.

For starters, one of the funniest things I think I've ever said while having a meal was with a friend when I stated "omg everything I am eating and drinking. Today is tickling my palette!" and this is a perfect way to describe my experience today at the rabbit hole. For starters, the environment is incredible. I feel like I literally stepped into a super fancy Alice in Wonderland film! The decor is gorgeous, from the deep purple velvet barstools, to the dark green textured wallpaper and the royal rabbit artwork on the walls, it's so fabulously done I had to take a video and send it to my daughter! Then there's the drink menu, I cannot describe how clever these drink combinations are. We tried the mad queens elixir and the queens garden and they had the most delicious and unique flavor combinations. You just have to try them! The Food selections, and as our waiter informed us, they change regularly. They are unique and delicious and served homemade to our table. We had a very short wait time for me to order food, and it arrived at the table in large portions and we couldn't even finish everything we were so full!! We tried the sampler of dips and breads and a spicy flatbread.... But just looking over the menu there were so many different things to try. We have to come back for the next trip sooner than later. Our final event to report for the night was as we were getting ready to pay the check. A fabulous woman came up to our table and asked if we would like to stay for the trivia night. We were pleasantly surprised, and the event is on Wednesdays from 7 PM to 9 PM the place, filled up very quickly in anticipation of this event. And the crowd was fun and vibrant as was the woman who officiated. The game itself was so much fun, and it really did put the cherry on the Sunday for our entire experience! Our waiter was wonderful, offering us recommendations and gave us amazing service. And the last thing we heard from was the woman who was announcing the trivia game telling us she would love for us to come back that we were so much fun. That little extra special kind word really just made this such a great culinary experience and overall great memory. I highly highly suggest if you live in this area, this should be your local go to. And if you're a visitor that's coming in for a short day, this place is definitely worth coming in and patroning! 5 stars Rabbit Hole!!
