Ricotta ravioli - special for the day
    sunny L.

I normally go here for pizza but this time I opted for one of their specials, and got the ravioli. The portions are always very healthy and everything is delicious and freshly made. Even though the lunch crowd was filling up the restaurant, their service always seemed on point and ready.

So we wandered into this corner bar on a street of row houses. In Philly this is what you would call townhouses. Inside we enter into a vibrant modern upscale restaurant It was happy hour and the food certainly made us happy. Being seniors and judging the patrons, we were relics. We were treated with great respect. Appies were wonderful and beautifully presented They bake their own focaccia We had the meat and cheese plate, great quality accompanied with jam but no bread Draft wine was super awesome Priced very well Great service Highly recommend

This restaurant was very nicely decorated with a perfect vibe for a late night dinner. They had a parking lot which was GREAT! The food was good with the ravioli and the gnocchi. I just wish the portions were a tad bigger. The service was great allowing us to take our time eating and talk!

Had a great evening here for girls night! They have a lot next to the restaurant if you're lucky enough to find parking in it. It fills up fairly quickly. Otherwise it's all street parking. We had reservations so we were immediately seated. The cocktails were delicious. We chose to order a couple appetizers, pizzas and salads. The Vineyard salad was so good as well as the short rib pizza. Would definitely order both again. The burrata appetizer 10/10. Our waiter was super patient and kind. The restaurant does get pretty loud on a Saturday night.

Bar Lucca is so good!! The atmosphere is lovely, and all of the staff members are so kind and helpful. They have a great happy hour, amazing cocktails, and I specifically recommend the mussels, they're incredible! My favorite entrée is the Sausage Neapolitan pizza, it's to die for. I highly recommend this restaurant!!!

One of my girlfriend and I's favorite date spots. Very lively and welcoming atmosphere cultivated by the manager Sam and the rest of the staff. So many great pasta dishes with homemade pasta. Alexis at the bar always takes great care of us and can make a mean espresso martini.

I liked what I read and saw on here so much that I wanted to try myself. I got the classic bucatini and the rose tiramisu, probably a special, to go. The bucatini didn't have the pretty bread piece that you see in entree pics and the rosé tiramisu has this black plasticy webby thing that is meant for decoration and not meant to eat. Besides those little things, I enjoyed the textures and flavors of the food lot. Fresh pasta with fresh sauce and fresh rose and tiramisu. Staff is friendly . I wonder if Bar Sera is a "cousin" of Bar Lucca because they are close to each other and the building styles felt similar to me when I just happened to pass Bar Sera on the way to Bar Lucca?

Meat and Cheese board (too expensive for what you get)

Decent spot overall. Nice indoor and outdoor seating with heaters. Smaller food menu and decent drink menu. The cucumber lime gose beer is incredible. We had meat/cheese board and potato leek soups. Oh yeah, the table bread is VERY good. Overall, overpriced in my opinion. The 24.00 meat/cheese board had like three pieces of cheese.

    Short Rib Pizza

I've visited this place a few times, and the Short Rib pizza is always my go-to. The ingredients are fresh, and the pizza has a lot of flavor. They serve it with chili oil, which I enjoy using to dip the bread. On previous visits, the bread was brought right to the table, but this time I had to ask for it. The server was friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed.

This place was recommended by family. A cute restaurant with comfortable inside and outside dining. The shortrib pizza was really good. I was excited about trying the fresh made pasta, I chose the black garlic gnocchi. It did not disappoint. I loved the savory and creamy flavors. The seasonal lavender pea lemonade was great as well. They serve bread with olive oil but you have to ask.

We really liked the atmosphere too. We ate the aracinis for an appetizer and for entrees we had the short rib pasta and the salmon. We would definitely come back. But then when I was looking up their burger week menu I came across the valentines menu and it looked good, so I figured I would give it try. My husband's dinner was alot better than mine so I was eating some of his, even though we always share anyway. He got the oysters with a dragonfruit sauce and they were good. I ordered crab and corn soup with grilled focaccia bread. The soup itself was fine , but it was only half a bowl and not much crab in it. I would have liked more soup instead of the bread. I gave the bread to my husband because we got a good amount of bread for the appetizer and I didn't want to fill up too much. I probably should have ordered the calamari instead , that looked pretty good. My husband's scallops with risotto was very good. Seared perfectly, creamy risotto, good flavor. Normally that is what I like to order, but I got the crab pasta because I love crab. I was disappointed In this dish. The crab tasted a little too fishy like it went bad or something. I also got a number of shells in the crab I had to spit out. I feel like they could have mixed the crab with some kind of seasoning or flavors. It seemed like they just dumped the crab right out of the can into the pasta and didn't even clean the shells out first. And they didn't even put the pasta in any kind of sauce. I would have liked maybe a creamy sauce with it. The pasta was just in like a watery garlic broth, and it broke apart and crab went all in the water and I didn't even have a spoon to pick it up. Dessert was ok. I'm glad we got the dragonfruit cheesecake instead of the chocolate cake, it was refreshing . The tiramisu wasn't bad but it was still somewhat frozen. I was kind of surprised because we are fans of the Pieri group restaurants. We have been to their sister restaurant Stonerose for burger week for a number of years now and love it. We also came to burger week at bar sera the one year and really enjoyed theirs too. I wish they did them separate weeks so we could go to both . Maybe it was just an off night tonite. Sometimes valentines menus aren't as good as their regular menu. Maybe we learned our lesson to go out the week before valentines instead for next year.

Was there earlier this month for a retirement party of 50+ people with lots of different tastes and dietary restrictions, but Hook & Ladder had us all covered. My table and I tried the generously sized charcuterie board, Brussels sprouts, mushroom soup (soooo good!!), and for my entree, I ordered the braised beef rib (also excellent). We had a lot of salmon orders at the table, too, and every plate was empty before the dessert menus came around -- I didn't try the crème brûlée or bread pudding, but they both looked like a nice end to a great meal. The staff had a bit of a hard time keeping up with drink orders and refills, but we're a pretty heavy drinking crowd with a lot of different tastes, so that's no surprise. They were friendly and timely in clearing plates and silverware though, and the bartenders were friendly and swift. It's not easy accommodating such a large group, so I can see us coming back here for future big events. I can also see how it would be a good place to celebrate any kind of special occasion with a smaller crowd, too.

The decor has a California farmhouse feel with lots of wood accents and open shelving. Fortunately, we were given a quieter table in the corner off the main dining room although even that room was loud. We started off with drinks and appetizers. The Orchard and Oak bourbon cocktail in a tall glass tasted like a winter drink and was slightly sweet. We shared Daisy's Nuggets which I would definitely order again. Finally, nuggets with a little heat! A few more blue cheese crumbles would have been appreciated though. We also decided to try the Smoke Show pizza which was fabulous even though I'm usually not a fan of thicker crust pizza. I especially enjoyed the combination of flavors including the ricotta on top. As an entree, my husband ordered the Short Rib Ravioli which wouldn't have been enough for him without all the appetizers as the portion was small. It seemed more like an appetizer portion than an entree. The Smash Burger, however, was a hit. Our server sang the praises of Manny's Mussels saying you could drink the broth as a soup. Unfortunately, that was not the case as the broth was too oily. Also, there weren't many mussels. Additionally, the timing of these entrees was terrible. As we were enjoying our appetizers, the mussels and burger were brought out by a food runner. It seemed as though there was no communication between the food runner and the server who later apologized for the food coming out too early. Also, despite noting it on our reservation and actually calling and speaking to someone named Lily, our birthday chocolate cake was again brought out by an oblivious food runner with no candle. I asked him to please put a candle in it, and it was brought out a second time with a candle. Additionally, our first cup of decaf was lukewarm despite our server saying she had just made a fresh pot. Our second cup was a bit warmer. Overall, we enjoyed our food and the ambiance. However, the kitchen needs a system to communicate with the servers, food runners, and reservationists in order to make it a better experience for diners.
