Wonderful dinner at Trattoria Tatoros's last night. The atmoshoere was warm and cozy, but a little loud at times (table of 7 women next to us) Our servers Kaitlyn and Spencer were attentive, and the food was delicious. Having fresh grated parm and EVOO on the table without asking was a hit! One negative - and this is a problem with more and more restaruants. Before I even offered to pay (cash or CC) , there was a 3.5% "service fee" on the bill. This needs to stop - its abusive and underhanded. read more

Went here years ago and remember it being so good and tasty. Went last night and it was mediocre at best. The fried calamari had absolutely no taste - literally was like eating plain panko crumbs. My husband got what I think was shrimp scampi for dinner and i got the surf and turf. The same pasta was used for both of our dishes - like the exact same sauce, vegetables, etc. Also, who serves surf and turn over noodles. The noodles may have been homemade, but were just tossed in a ton of butter, again no real taste. The steak was on top of my noodles included one piece of shrimp (can't justify surf and turf) and it tasted and pulled apart like it was short rib - was definitely not filet. The bill was around 160 with tip. Was very disappointed with the food and the servers were kind of rude. Trattoria Totaro is on of the best byob Italian dinners I've had in a long time. It's a small restaurant and you basically feel like you're eating dinner in a house. For starters they bring out bread, butter, and oil. We got the mussels & garlic shrimp cocktails. Both were delicious although we were disappointed that there were only 4 shrimp came & cost $16. For dinner I got the Veal Abbruzi and it was absolutely delicious. It is deff one of the best veal dishes I've had in a long. The dinner portion size was HUGE! One of my favorite Italian restaurants now. We came during restaurant week and everything we had was sublime. We didn't know it was restaurant week and my daughter really wanted just some spaghetti marinara, so they kindly whipped it up for her and it was amazing. I love the texture of the house made pasta. This looks like a really nice place that had some promise, and considering the lack of decent options in the Conshohocken area , it was worth a shot. Walking in, we approached the hostess stand and were met by a woman (not a hostess, she struck me more as an owner maybe) who was somewhat pleasant but clearly had been drinking some alcohol. I ordered the Bolognese with "homemade" pasta....it was RAMEN NOODLES. I'll say it again- RAMEN NOODLES. To this day I still don't believe it. Trattoria has ALWAYS made and created beautiful, unique and great tasting dishes. I discovered them in the late 90's while looking for a caterer for my place of employment. Our seat did have the AC dripping on the side but it wasn't too bad. You see the sunset and it gives kind of like a beach vibe, with this restaurant at the corner of a neighborhood. 4.5/5 Service. Our waitress was nice and knew the specials of the day really well. Everyone was so kind. 4/5 Food. The bread basket here is AMAZING! My friend and I ate 4 baskets and craved for more the next morning . The bread is lightly toasted and has soft, chewy insides. We had the lobster ravioli for appetizer, which tasted so good. It is creamy but the lobster stuffing inside has a kick of spiciness, which balances it really well. You get 3 raviolis, which was perfect for an appetizer. The portion sizes for the pastas are really big, and I was so full when it was time for the entree (probably because of all the bread...) But overall, everything tasted pretty good! read more

They were really busy and it was late. It took a while before our waitress came to take our order. Therefore, we were not checked on often for water refill. The food was decent. Tye food took a long time to come out. The dish I got was decent. The tomato sauce lack some flavor. But my husband dish was better. His pasta tasted homemade and the white sauce was more flavorful. read more

I have been wanting to try this spot since I have moved to the area from Philly, nothing has seemed to hit the spot imo, it's either way over priced or just not really the best. I really really like Totaro's the service was wonderful and the food was really good. We did sit outside since inside seemed really loud but the outside was not the best so next time we will sit inside. We had mussels as an app and they were amazing I wish I had not had so much bread before they came bc the sauce was amazing!!! My husband had chicken Pavarotti it was great and I had a pasta dish that that was really good. I will say the home made pasta is really odd though it is almost like ramen, next time I will ask for a different pasta if that's possible. I really enjoyed my dinner and this may be our new "spot" definitely check it out. read more

Came here for restaurant week and it was lovely. Outdoor seating was very cute and socially distant which is important these days. Our server was great - friendly, nice, and attentive. Food was delicious: I got the Cesar salad, chicken parm, and the blueberry chocolate vanilla cake dessert. I think it was a special, but it was divine. My company gets take out from here at work sometimes as well and their lunch salads are delicious. This is a great spot! read more

Nothing special in my opinion. Very small and loud atmosphere. Food was decent but there was too much sauce on my veal and pasta creating more of a pho noodle soup. Excellent food, service, and ambience! What a cute little homemade-Italian establishment. So nice to go to during the holiday season. Felt very at home and comfortable as well. Small place, but sooooooooo worth it for this delicious food and atmosphere. All homemade pasta. I got the Alfredo with chicken and it was outstanding. The sauce was just perfect and not too heavy. Great service, not super formal. Crowded restaurant in a good way. Wish they could spruce it up a bit, paint the walls, get new chairs, etc... but felt cozy overall. The food I feel like is good quality but nothing we had stood out in particular... I just discovered this Italian restaurant in Conshohocken and am so excited about this find! Real authentic Italian food at a VERY reasonable price! The establishment is a little small but decorated elegantly. There is also outside seating that is very casual. The first time I came here it was for a work lunch. I was very impressed by the list of specials! They had a pasta special, salad special, sandwich, and 3 three other options as part of their daily switch up menu. I ordered the salad special that day which was a grilled sea bass with quinoa served with a lemon vinaigrette. DELICIOUS! I wish I could have a bottle of that dressing to take home. My coworker ordered the pasta special which was a gnocchi dish with sausage and meatballs. The gnocchi was homemade at the restaurant and needless to say both of our plates were left clean. The best part of the meal was easily dessert, if you go here then you NEED to order a cannoli! They are prepared at the restaurant and freshly filled. Easily one of the best cannolis that I have had in a while. The only reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars is that we sat outside during our meal and our waitress forgot about us as we were trying to pay the bill. She was still very great throughout the meal. We came here for Conshohocken Restaurant Week with a group of friends. We usually only like to do the one in philly and were hesitant about coming here, but we wanted to see friends we haven't seen in awhile and figured why not. We had a couple of friends who were late like always and had to wait for them. Our waitress brought out bread but not nearly enough for our huge table. We had to ask for a refill about 4 or 5 times. You would think by the 2nd time they would just bring out more so we don't have to keep asking. They also didn't even ask if we wanted to order until our full party arrived. I was starving by that point and wanted to just order since our friends were always late I didn't really care if they ate later than us. For my appetizer I got the ravioli of the day which was a creamy mushroom. It wasn't homemade pasta so I was hesitant about ordering it, but it turned out to be the best part of my meal. For my meal I ordered the surf and turf. I ordered it medium but it came out well done so I had to send it back. My waitress seemed annoyed and didn't apologize or anything. She took it back to the kitchen then brought it back without the filet and said the kitchen is making another filet but I can keep the rest of my meal while I'm waiting for the new filet. Well by time the new filet came out the rest of my meal was cold. They should have just made a new meal altogether. The manager did come out and apologize to me afterwards but was too little too late. For dessert I got the tiramisu, it was ok nothing special. My husband got the cannoli and it was really tiny, they should have given you 2. Overall the meal was meh and service not that great. I think we are done with doing restaurant weeks. You are really not getting a deal if they are giving you skimpy portions. We've been to a few restaurants in Philly for restaurant week that gave decent portion sizes. I think we will just stick to going to Philly when we want to go out to eat. read more

Location is very private. The scenery is not the best If you're sitting outside. Lots of traffic and view is not pretty. Really pricey, especially in Conshohocken when there's other competing Italian restaurants. Definitely should have $$$ instead of $$. Entrees start at $25, but 95% of the entrees are within the $35+ range. We got here at 7:00pm, and we didn't get our food until 7:45pm. It was an extremely long wait. The service is very slow. Now that I got all the negatives out of the way, the food was incredibly delicious. They gave refills on bread and supplied extra Parmesan cheese on the side. We got the veal Vivian and the Rigatoni Agli Olio. There was no shortage of sausage within the rigatoni agli olio and my boyfriend raved about the veal vivian. I'd come back if I had time to spare, but nothing great comes fast or easy, and the food here is great! read more

Large party in front room was so loud that our group of 4 seated just inside the inner room door had to shout to our waitress (who the first time she saw us threw up her hands as if to say, what can I tell you) to put in our orders. Conversations at the table were nearly impossible. If they are going to allow groups that large, they should somehow shut off the other room or require that they reserve the entire place. The trattoria features a variety of dishes served in a pleasant, classic Italian atmosphere. The delicious lobster ravioli appetizer wasn't large but the entree portions were generous. My salmon was perfectly cooked. Both our desserts were delightful: the cannoli was freshly filled and crisp and the vanilla cake was just right. Service was efficient but not rushed. Went here for a birthday dinner based on prior reviews. I had the veal chop. It was cooked perfectly and had decent flavor. The other two in our group had pasta related dishes. What a wonderful BYOB Real Italian in Conshohocken- voted best BYOB for years and a good reason. The food and service is awesome! We met for lunch, brought some nice IPA in a growler and split a large salad, an Italian hoagie and some mussels fra diavola. Then finished with some cannoli and espresso. The whole meal came to 40$ which is very fair and hey it's BYOB. Along the large menu they also offer daily changing lunch specials. We are back soon for lunch or dinner! read more
