This is my favorite spot for breakfast. I like the French toast here which is honestly the best in the area. They have a very good menu but I didn't really like some of the choices on there. I just returned from a trip back home and I've got to say, when I go home I always try to make it to Nudy's for breakfast. While there is often a wait on weekends, my meals have always been worth the wait. I haven't really branched out with the menu, but my favorites are the french toast melba (mmmmmmm raspberry cream sauce) and the breakfast burrito. Fresh guacamole and salsa (rather than the jar stuff) would definitely improve the meal, but I always really enjoy the breakfast burrito anyway. It's enormous and I basically love anything that comes in a tortilla shell. The area for inside seating is small and cramped - if you're able to get it, the best seating is outside under the umbrella tables (not under the tent!) I've had really great service here and sub par service here, but overall it's a solid place to have a decent breakfast. If you've got a sweet tooth, definitely try some of their specialty french toasts. They all look amazing! read more

It took some time to get over the awkward feeling I had about visiting a place called Nudy's. After all, brunch with the family should rarely involve anything so risque. Awkwardness in tact, I decided to stray from my normal brunch order. Normally, I'm a eggs and bacon kinda guy. If I'm feeling extra frisky, I'll spring for a side of yogurt. But not today... I went off the deep end and ordered Belgium waffles and turned out to be pleasantly surprised. The plate was well portioned with bananas and they didn't presumptuously add syrup or copious amounts of sugar. The dining room was filled (not surprisingly... because it's tiny), so we ventured outdoors. Fortunately, it was nice enough day outside. Overall, we were happy with our seating choice. This is by far the best breakfast place in town. Growing up in the area I used to come here very frequently and now whenever I come back home for even a night, I always have to go to nudys breakfast in the morning with my mom. When it comes to breakfast, if you can make a solid omelet then I'm happy and thats what Nudy's does. The consistently make a great omelet. I usually get the spinal and Feta. There is a good amount of spinach and feta in the omelet and its always cooked just right. Along with the omelet you also get a delicious side of home fries. They are shredded potatoes that are crispy on the top and then soft underneath so you get a nice crunch but not too crunchy. My mom always gets the red pepper and goat cheese omelet, which again is just a great constantly good omelet. Other favorites include the chicken caesar salad, hot roast beef sandwich and the chicken salad. Some extra tips: Parking behind the restaurant can be a nightmare. trying parking out front or on the street. In the winter they inclose the outside seating and it is actually warm out there and will most likely allow you to get a table faster if you agree to sit "outside" read more

We've gone for brunch twice and have enjoyed it a lot both times. We were willing to sit outside and got seated immediately even on what seemed to be a fairly busy Sunday. They have a nice patio out front, as well as a covered patio over on the side of the building. This time, I had pumpkin bread french toast with a side of bacon. The french toast was awesome, but very rich and sweet; I didn't finish it. The bacon was cooked perfectly and was yummmmy! My husband had a burger, which he said was very good, as were the fries. This is probably the only place that I go to brunch/breakfast in the area. For one, it's consistent. Although they have quite an array of options on their menu, I tend to always order two eggs, bacon, coffee and hashbrowns. My eggs are always cooked just how I asked and the bacon is always crispy. When I am in the mood for something for lunch, their salads are to die for and their Granny Smith wrap is just delectable. Because there is limited seating and parking, it can be a bit hectic on weekends. Don't be discouraged by the wait--people funnel in and out fairly quickly. With the summer months approaching, the outdoor area is a real treat and a nice place to sit. I gave 4 stars because it is nothing special but is very consistent. The Jam packed crowd waits in the cold to eat at this popular luncheonette. Our server who's name was Alice is a super pro. She was unflustered in the face of chaos and more attentive then anyone would hope to expect. She is super impressive. THe food is consistently good. The pancakes are the flatter, less fluffy kind because they are more flavorful. I always bring real maple syrup because I will always need a bite of my kids pancake. I normally skip pan cakes in restaurants because they are the best at home but, this is Not so at Nudy's. They rock here. The breakfast burrito is huge. Stuffed with beans, eggs, ham and cheese with sides of sour cream and salsa and cheese... It is a hangover special. The food is really decent here for what it is; a little hole in the wall luncheonette. At least they have real silverware and very good service. The food is consistently good. Came here for brunch with my boyfriend and sister's boyfriend who raved about the menu (salmon florentine). I ordered a simple 2 fried eggs with wheat toast, homefries, and a side of canadian bacon. It was a good but average meal. Didn't like how there was already butter on my toast (since I don't like butter). On my way out I saw the bacon and it looked sooo delicious I wished that I had ordered some. The prices here are very good (quite inexpensive compared to any dining places in NY!). Just had lunch at Nudy's with some colleagues - it was the first time I'd ever been there. The service was really fast - our food was out before we knew it. I had the Tuscan Omelet (prosciutto, tomatoes, sharp cheese and spinach) which was good and some shredded hash browns. I was happy with my meal and I think the four people with me enjoyed theirs too. A great place to have breakfast! The first time I was here I had the banana nut belgian waffle. It came loaded with nuts, bananas, whipped cream and butter and was incredibly delicious! My companion wanted iced coffee, and instead of the waitress telling him that they did not have any, she immediately offered a solution that she could bring him a cup of ice with coffee in it. Why can't more waitresses think like that? I cannot tell you how many times we have encountered a sour face with a waitress exclaiming they have NO iced coffee. The next time I went there I had a sausage and cheese omelet with homefries and toast which was excellent. If the weather is nice, I would suggest you eat outside. If you have to eat inside, it is best to sit at the counter, otherwise you cannot carry on a conversation with your dining companion because it is incredibly loud in the dining room. The only major drawback to this place is the minimal parking spaces available. read more

Nudy's gets a solid 3 from me. It was very good, but I felt a little slighted by the lackluster stalk and a half of asparagus on top of my eggs benedict. Our French server was delightful and very prompt. One visit to Nudy's is worth it- I'm not sure I have an insatiable urge to go back any time soon. Decided to meet up with a group of friends for brunch here - 5 adults, 2 kids -late on a crummy-rainy-bonechiller Sunday morning. I arrived about 10 minutes early and put our name on the waiting list for a table and was told it would be about 10-15 minutes. Perfect! Granted I had to wait outside under an umbrella and shiver because I would otherwise be hovering over someone's table inside, I was pleased we could be seated that soon. Two of my friends arrived, the family of four said they were running a little late and our names were called and I asked if it was a problem that our whole party wasn't here yet and they said absolutely not, we won't make you wait in the rain and cold. They seated us in the patio area which was covered with a plastic tent and heated with a propane heater that we were right next to which was very welcome. The server took our drink order right away and our remaining friends joined us shortly thereafter. It took us a little while for everyone to get settled in and since some of us were meeting for the first time, we were chatty and not focused on the menu. Never felt rushed. We all ordered and it wasn't long before our food started coming out. The kid's food came first, then mine and my two non-parent friends. And then nothing. The waiter stopped by a moment later, and we hadn't started eating because not everyone had been served - and he asked if everything tasted ok so far. We kind of looked at him funny and then he said to the two who hadn't been served, well you didn't order anything, right? And we all thought he was joking. But he wasn't. He seemed to have stopped taking orders afte the kid's had placed their orders. He apologized profusely for his mistake and said the food would be up shortly. It took maybe another 10 minutes. He apologized again and continued to be attentive throughout. About mid-way through the meal, the heater stopped working, so we began to get very cold very fast. Though our waiter said they were getting some more propane and appeared to be hooking it up, we did not see it's warmth again. When our check came he said we didn't have to worry about the kid's meals which I thought was well handled. Three of us had a Tuscan omelet which was beautifully done, and the hash browns were delicious. I had no complaints. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals when they eventually came. I would definitely give Nudy's another shot, maybe on a more pleasant day. Despite its flubs, they recovered well and the food was great. read more

I do like this little breakfast/lunch place. They definitely make solid breakfast foods. I like being adventurous with my taste buds and experiment with foods I've never had, so I ordered the lobster benedict. Which is an egg benedict dish with lobster, obviously. I realized I don't like lobster mixed in with my eggs. Hey, sometimes that happens. But my friend loved her omelette, and the few bites that were shared with me were A-OK They get 3 stars for treating customers like sardines. Sure, we went there on a Saturday morning, but I still shouldn't have to stand in a light drizzle in the middle of March. Then when we were seated, I thought I was on some sort of weird double date with the couple sitting behind me. The tables were tetris-ed together. Besides that, though, the staff and food was lovely. Breakfast is at its best at Nudy's. The Apple Cake French Toast, however, was good enough to turn anyone into a "Nudist.' Think thick slices of apple and cinnamon pound cake, dipped and fried, covered in fried apples and cinnamon butter. YUM! I also tried the Tuscan Omelette, which had prosciutto, sharp provolone, tomato, and fresh spinach. It was real prosciutto, not just the cooked ham that some restaurants call prosciutto. The provolone was quality as well and all the vegetables fresh and delicious. I was told by others in my group that lunch was great too. I've been going to Nudy's for a couple years now since moving to the Main Line. I've never had a bad meal, and only once was I upset with the service. (The waiter thought it'd be cool to practice his "long pour" while filling my coffee. Needless to say it ended with me buying a new pair of shorts and almost having to replace my phone. Luckily he is no longer there.) My only gripe is that recently, July / August '14, the bees outside have been TERRIBLE. Multiple times now I've had to box half my meal and leave because I just couldn't stand 3 or 4 bees hovering around my table at a time. Nudy's please do something about this or else my wife and I will not be returning until the weather is cold and the tent is closed off. I will gladly re-review and reward more stars once this issue is resolved. read more

This has to be the quickest service I have ever gotten in my life. The assortment of French toasts (like carrot cake, cinnamon bun, apple cake, etc.) is beyond intriguing. We had the lobster Benedict, the Huevos rancheros, and we shared the cinnamon bun French toast. The lobster Benedict lacked flavor, perhaps bacon would be a nice addition, and the cinnamon bun French toast was more cinnamon bun than French toast. However the Huevos rancheros was flavorful and yummy, chorizo would be a great addition to this dish, but it's still very good as is. Overall, because of the quick and courteous service and amazing menu options, we will definitely be back to try something different. We weren't blown away but we weren't disappointed either and we do look forward to trying more. read more

Last Saturday was my second time to visit Nudy's. I am not sure if I missed it the first time, but the addition of gluten free pancakes and waffles was a pleasant surprise for me. The GF waffle I was served was fluffy and had just a touch of sweetness to it. Fantastic! My sisters also enjoyed their meals as well. It's not perfect - cramped parking, small dining area inside, a noisy exhaust fan near the outside dining area - but all is forgiven. For basic breakfasts and lunches, the value can't be beat. Eggs over easy, hash browns, crisp bacon, OJ and coffee - heaven has arrived. Their waffles and pancakes are delicious. For lunch, the half sandwich / soup lunch combo for under $8.00 can't be beat. The soups here always put a smile on my face - try their vegetable soup - basic with fresh ingredients. For me, basic is the key word here. When we arrived there wasnt much seating inside so we were asked if we wanted to sit in the covered area outside, which we did. There are several tables outside under cover with heaters and fans. The service was great and we were brought coffee and water right away. We ordered and the food showed up pretty quick through a window from the kitchen. I had the farmers omelet with hash browns. The hash browns were a bit soggy for my liking but still tasted ok. My son didnt care for the chocolate chip pancake too much so I finished that too. Its a nice place and I look forward to eating again if we are ever in the area. read more
