Incredible service. Eddy came to help fix our broken multi-point lock. It is a very complex mechanism that very few locksmiths can manage. Eddy was incredibly skilled, professional, and neat. We are so grateful for his help and expertise. He saved us from having to replace the doors (the lock rods are embedded inside the door). All this to say, Eddy was exceptional. Highly recommend-- great communication, and impeccable service. read more

Alex was great! He kept me in the loop. Was able to come early. Quickly drilled out my mailbox lock and replaced it with the exactly the right one. Price was competitive. No need to overthink this. You found the locksmith you need. read more

Alex saved our day today! We needed some work immediately and he was very responsive. He understood the situation and rather than fixing the lock tomorrow, he went out of his way to get it done tonight and which is helping us all have peace of mind. He's also very friendly and easy to talk to. Definitely, recommend him and will work with him in the future. read more

Alex is very responsive when I was seeking a quote for the rekeying service. Pricing was reasonable. I liked how he first identified the two hour window that he planned to show up and then called me half an hour before actual arrival. He also did a good job and resolve the issue for me efficiently. Thanks! read more

Alex is amazing. We had an issue with the lock getting caught / stuck, and the same day we discussed Alex came over and fixed it in no more than ten minutes. He also helped with a slightly tangential issue with locks, and explained what he was doing, how he was fixing it, etc every step of the way. He's great at what he does -- a true professional! read more

Called about a front door lock, answered instantly and came the same day. Kind people, worked diligently, and did an awesome job - will 100% be using them in the future. It was honestly a pretty complicated job with the lock being completely disassembled, and there was a smart deadbolt needing installing - he stayed into the evening to figure it out and get the job done, and stayed to check the smart lock worked with my app. Also figured out that the door hinge had stripped screws, something I would have never noticed but now I can get my contractor to fix it! Good pricing as well. Thanks so much guys! read more

Alex helped me switch out my lock after losing my keys. The service was very quick and he was able to come over on the same day I called. Switching out the locks was very fast and level of work was very excellent. The price was also reasonable, especially for such quick service, would definitely recommend. read more

Got me into my house when my old lock completely crapped out and was an incredibly good sport when he realized it wasn't a normal lock out and it took way longer at the end of his work day than it ought to have. Really nice guy who did an awesome job on a very tough lock. Price was totally reasonable. TYSM Alex you are my hero read more

Had a great experience with Alex at Nova Locksmith. Lost the keys to my self storage unit and needed a locksmith to drill it out. Alex got in touch with me in a few minutes after requesting quotes on Yelp. We worked out a time to meet that was flexible for my schedule and he showed up right on time and ready to go. The work only took a few minutes and I was able to get back into my storage unit. Pricing was competitive or better than the other replies I did receive through Yelp. Alex came to the rescue when our deadbolt jammed at 8:30pm and we found ourselves locked out of the house. He gave us a clear ETA, drove out to Alameda from SF, and arrived as quickly as he could. After drilling extensively through the lock, he got us back inside and installed a new deadbolt on the spot. We're so appreciative of Alex's quick response, quality work, and expertise. read more

My daughter locked the downstairs bathroom door and I could not get it open for the life of me. Sent out a request for quotes and Alex was first to respond. He was very responsive and gave me the best price, even matching a lower offer. He came and took all of 5 minutes to get the door open for me. I'm keeping his number in case I need him again in the future. read more

Alex was really great. Our deadbolt was broken and he replaced it with a new one, Weill matching it to the original key so that we didn't have to make new keys. He took a lot of time to make sure that the deadbolt was secure and that the keys fit smoothly. read more

Nova locksmith was super helpful with our move. This is now the second time we've used his services. I reached out to him about our move, and he was very communicative about the plan. 1. He went with me to my old place to remove the Smartlock he had initially installed 2. and then immediately went with me to the new place to install it there. 3. He helped install a few other smartlocks 4. Also replaced a few other locks with privacy locks He made a few recommendations about our other locks and warned us how we might get locked out since we didn't have the keys. We scheduled a time to meet later that week, and sure enough. We got locked out. He came immediately and got us in! Highly recommend him. He's great at communicating and knows his stuff! read more

Arrived within 30 minutes of my call, was able to unlock my door with a tool underneath the door without having to drill, and unlocked within 8 minutes. But he was rude, freaking cracked my wood frame a few times with a tool and said it was cheap wood, and charged a TWO HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLAR ($250!!!) FEE. Update: I guess he was rude because it was Rosh Hashanah and he forego'd being with his family to help me with my door. 20 other places I called quoted $95 to $150 but they did NOT want to quote over the phone since they said they'll need to see the lock and what they need to work with. I only went with Nova Locksmith because other places were unavailable due to Rosh Hashanah or just being booked up. So be prepared to pay $250. read more

Alex came to rekey two of my front door locks. I originally bought two new locks to replace the old ones. He told me my locks were still good (deadbolt was high quality lock) and he could rekey them instead of replacing them with the not so high quality locks I bought. It saved me some money! Alex was friendly, professional and prompt. I highly recommend his services. We will definitely call him again for any future locksmith needs! Thanks Alex! read more

Alex was super easy to deal with, prompted in his responses and the most affordable by far. I asked him to swap out a doorknob lock and a mailbox lock because I lost keys (embarrassingly), and he was able to address quickly and properly in the most professional manner. As a busy landlady, I highly recommend his services! PRO tips: calling seems to work better for Alex as his hands are usually busy doing his magic haha Make sure to send pictures of your locks that need help and really really really don't bother asking for other quotes. I wasted time to know that Alex was my guy. read more

Alex was fast and in the area. Literally at my Oakland house within 15 mins and I wasn't even there. Someone stole the lockbox to my home and I was across town being a busy mom. He was polite, optimistic and worked with me to get my locks replaced. He took extra steps to verify who I was so he didn't just change locks for some random crazy person! In addition to that, he hid the new key in a genius place and sent me a video. He was done within minutes. I would use him again in a heartbeat! Price was very reasonable! He's worth every penny and I can't thank him enough! Thank you so much Alex! read more
