Excellent!! We only needed labor and no truck and NOVA Express Movers provided it with no issues. Very easy and prompt scheduling service. Three guys showed up on time and began to move items right away. Very courteous, polite, quick and efficient individuals. We have received quotes from other companies, however decided to go with NOVA Express based on reviews which were very accurate. We highly recommend this company for your move! read more

Used NOVA Express Movers this past weekend as I moved from one 2BD apartment in Centreville to another in Vienna. I had a three man crew booked to show up between 9AM and 10AM, and the guys showed up right at 9:05. Great guys, hard and fast workers! They everything padded and out of the old place and then moved into the new place in 2 hours flat. No complaints at all, will most definitely refer friends to them in the future! read more

This was probably one of the worst moving companies I have ever used! The movers showed up at my house, immediately thought they knew more about what I wanted moved than they did, took significantly longer than they quoted (because they decided what they wanted to move vs. listening to what I wanted move) AND damaged some of my very expensive furniture. When I asked about the insurance policy, they told me I just report it to them, and they'll give it to their bosses or that I could just text their boss. Not only did I submit everything, with and descriptions, orders, etc. but I also included pictures of the damage, poor loading procedures, etc. one example - they ripped my cushions off my couch so forcefully that it took a chunk out of my sofa - from restoration hardware....which was a $5000 couch. Not only did the owner then take 4 months to respond to me, even though I repeatedly called and emailed him, but he argued with me that "these are just movers, and they aren't as educated as most people" and I should just "hide the damage". He then offered to send me a $100 check (3 months ago - obviously still not received) because that was the max of their insurance. He also said that no one would ever take care of my stuff as good as I would. How can you possibly be a reputable moving company and stay in business with these attitudes? If you care about your stuff, definitely DO NOT use this company!! read more

From the moment I requested a quote the communication and responsiveness of Nova Express was top notch. This company was recommended to me by my real estate agency. They confirmed a few times before moving Dayton make sure we were still on. On moving day the drivers called to let me know when they would arrive. Unexpectedly my street was closed and they worked with police and city personnel to allow them onto the street to start the move. They sent two friendly movers and one truck that was big enough for all my stuff. It took them 6 hours and was $109 per hour (2 hrs minimum)plus a $129 starting fee. They did a good job and thoroughly wrapped all my furniture to protect it during the move. They also disassembled and reassembled my bed which took about an hour at each place. They appropriately asked a lot of questions to ensure they were moving the right items and putting them in the correct places. Of course with moving there some scuffs to the walls but nothing a little touch up paint will not fix. In order to wrap my furniture they needed to use some shrink wrap, boxes, tape and the mover told me up front before starting about how much extra it would cost (about $50) which I appreciated. They also fixed a ladder they saw was broken which was great. That is the pro about the hourly rate they take their time to do a good job and be helpful throughout. Would recommend! read more

Awesome!! Arrived a few minutes early. Kind, professional, respectful, hardworking, stress free moving day, items arrived undamaged...a wonderful moving experience!! From the beginning of contact with NOVA, until completion...everyone was quick to respond, and excellent follow-through! Would definitely recommend to family and friends!! Would use NOVA again in the future! Wonderful job!! read more

I first saw one of NOVA Express Movers' trucks a few years ago and told my friend to look them up because she was looking for a moving company at that time. She looked them up and decided to go with them and was very pleased with them. This year I had to move and wanted to hire movers and I asked her again how she felt about NOVA Express Movers and she again said that they were great and some of the best prices around and that she got her mom to use them for her move and she really liked them as well. I decided to use NOVA Express Movers because of the good reviews, my friend's personal experience, and their pricing seemed the best. That, and the staff were really easy to get in touch with and answer questions. The move was made very easy by the company, and all my worries went away. T.K.and Yuuso were the two helpers who were assigned to me and my move, and they were very pleasant, helpful, organized, and took care of my belongings. I was very grateful and would use them again! read more

Used them for two moves last year. Both went smoothly. They were easy to get a quote, reasonable rates, worked efficiently, really worked hard to make sure we were happy with their service. Would definitely use them again. read more

Recently hired them for our local move. I was doubtful from the beginning because they don't seem to have any reviews anywhere. And they seem to be new so I was afraid they will show up late or won't show up at all. But came right on time, got our stuff and loaded the truck in about 1.5 hours and unloaded in the same amount of time. Everything made it as is - nothing broke. They were reliable. The price is very good too! read more

I used Nova Express Movers for the first time this weekend. Everyone I came in contact with was first class and very professional. Prices were good and the quality of the service was superior to other companies I have used. The lead mover Robert was the best lead I have ever worked with. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND Nova Express Movers. And yes, I plan to use them on my next move read more

This company was on a list of recommended vendors provided by my realtor, and I'm very happy I went with them. I got quotes from 3 different companies, and NOVA Express had the best hourly rate for a same-day packing and moving service. Anne, my main correspondent when I was making arrangements, was a great communicator and very prompt in all her responses. The movers -- Robert, Damian, Luis, and Bak -- were timely, efficient, and professional. I will be sure to reach out to them again the next time I have to plan a move. read more

This was my third time using Nova Express Movers and they did a terrific job. The first time I had a large truck from my move from NYC. The movers helped me unload, arrange furniture, and even helped me haul some unwanted furniture back into the truck. When my husband and I decided to move again a year later we immeditately thought to call Nova Express. Kirk and Jose, our movers from Nova, did a wonderful job. They were punctual, professional, took great care with our items, and were super friendly. Would definitely recommend this service to anyone!! read more

Worked with Que and the team for a day. They are very professional and efficient!

Nova Express Movers were the hardiest working movers we had ever met. They had a positive attitude and were pleasant from early morning to very late at night. I highly recommend their services. Dana is a delight along with the rest of their crew. read more

I hired NoVa Express Movers back on 5/30/2013 at 3pm. The movers failed to show up till 5:30!! When I called the company, the lady who answered advised that they were running behind. She said the movers must finish a job before they can move to the next one. I understood that obviously. I told her they could at least called me instead of having me sit there for hours. I had to call back 2 more times before the movers actually showed up! They did get all my items into the truck within an hour, but when they got to storage facility they basically just threw my stuff in the storage. After all that wait and the poor service they still charged me full price!!! I thought maybe they would take the 84.00 arrival fee off since they were late. WRONG!!!! I have told everyone not to use this moving company. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! read more

One of the worst experiences I've ever had moving. The price they advertised is not the price that I paid and they tried to shake me down. I literally moved half a mile from one apartment building to another in Arlington and the movers mysteriously "got lost" and tried to add an extra hour of labor to my total. They literally had to drive a few blocks up the street, but said the GPS put them on the highway. I called them when they did not arrive at my new apartment within 15 minutes of them leaving my old apartment, but no one answered for more than 30 minutes. My guess is that this was part of an elaborate scam that they like to pull to overcharge people. I thought I was getting a good deal because their advertised prices were lower than their competitors, but I ultimately ended paying more than what the other two companies I looked at were charging. read more

On-time, fast, efficient, strong and helpful. The quote was comparable to other companies in the area. Overall, a very good experience with them. read more

I wanted to write a follow-up review because I was recently contacted by Nova Express Movers about my original review. The new officer manager wanted to reach out to me to fix the problem because he did in fact confirm with the movers that they were at fault for my terrible experience. The gesture seemed nice, however, it was conditional. He offered to give me a $50 check if I revised my review. This is absolutely absurd! I ended up paying well over what I should have paid for a move that took way too long and the review I gave was honest and fair considering the circumstances, and they wanted me to remove it in exchange for $50? More disappointed than ever. Nevermind that I left out the worst part about them costing me another $900 because the movers couldn't get the couch up the stairs. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

I had hired Nova express to move me from a 2 bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor to a 3 story townhouse. The movers were great!!! I was a bit nervous before the move but these gentlemen were professional and took the time to ensure that my furniture and my brand new home were not damaged. The move was completed in a timely manner. I would recommend Nova Express Movers to anyone looking for a professional moving experience. read more

What a delightful moving service. The three men scheduled were very fast and efficient. We had to move things from one pod to another as well as moving out of the house. The finished in 90 minutes. They worked so fast that I thought it was six guys not three working. When I settled the bill with the movers we miscalculated how much I needed to pay. It was so inexpensive for the quality of service I did not pay attention. They called me the following day to refund the miscalculation, truly an honest ethical company. If you are in the Northern Va area do not waste your time or money with any other moving company. These guys rock! read more

The team that worked with us did a great job loading up the truck and packing everything in. Nothing was damaged and they performed the move extremely efficiently. The move took less time than anticipated. Very professional and excellent service. read more

The best price I could find, moved my things VERY quickly (packed up my things, moved a couch, and unloaded to my new apartment 2 miles away in less than 2 hours). I have used them for two moves (one between two apartments in DC and another between my DC apartment and Ballston). Would highly recommend! read more

Hired three men for loading and they did an exceptional job. Took great care packing and loading. Would definitely recommend NOVA Express Movers. I had to cancel a prior date and they rescheduled very quickly. A+++ company. read more

NOVA Express Movers are really awesome. From my first contact with them to the end of the move, everything was smooth, professional, friendly, and efficient. Anne was great at answering my questions promptly and they laid out how they charge upfront and on the moving day, there were no gimmicks, and it was exactly how it was charged. Our move took place this past week when we moved from our condo to a 4-level townhouse. We have a lot of stuff and we were quite stressed about it. We never have such a big a move before and didn't know what to expect. The five movers from NOVA Express arrived on time and when we met them, which was around 9ish in the morning, they were very friendly, professional and just had very good attitude. They said they will take care of everything and we can just relax. They are paid by the hour, but there weren't a minute when I wished they work faster, because they were working as fast as humanly possible. That is not to say, they throw your stuff around. In fact, they really took care of our stuff. We boxed most of our stuff except for furniture. They took apart the furniture very professionally, carefully wrapped them in blankets, and treated everything we have with care. They took apart our king size and queen size bed with big drawers underneath them without the need of any instructions, or asking us for any tools. When we got to our townhouse, they put everything where we wanted them, and even for heavy stuff that's on the 3rd or 4th floor, there were no complaints, and what's amazing is at the end of a 8-hour move, they were cheerful and happy and still had that great attitude! We like them so much that at the end of the move we took a picture of them to commemorate a great experience of moving into our new house! We want to sincerely thank our five wonderful movers, Kirk (an awesome foreman who really knows what he's doing, very professional and hardworking), Meechie (super hardworking, very experienced and responsible, with such great work ethics and attitude, and treat our stuff with great care!), Jerome (Rome) (very friendly and cheerful, super hardworking, had such a great attitude, even after moving and working for 8 hours!), Rolondo (very hardworking, and he was able to help assemble and disassemble giant beds with great care, and without instructions!), and Alex (very hardworking, friendly, and thoughtful, he remembered he helped my husband put our TV in my husband's car when we move out of our condo, and after we finished moving into the townhouse, even we forgot the TV was in my husband's car, but he remembered and he offered to help us get it into our townhouse even after the move is over!) We unpacked the past two days, not a piece of furniture is scratched, not a plate is broken. The king and queen beds they disassembled and reassembled work perfectly (They are more complicated beds from pottery barn with big drawers underneath them) we have never worked with such great and responsible movers before and we highly recommend them!! I use yelp all the time but rarely write reviews but I feel I need to write one for them! read more

My family and I had to move a few to many times in the last several years, our last experience with another moving company wasn't so great so we were a little concerned about finding a good moving company with no hidden costs or issues of the sort. With the help of Yelp and some calling around, we went with these guys because out of all the quotes we got, they had the best pricing. The day of the move, 3 men with a nice size truck showed up within the time frame promised. They all were nice and pleasant and worked very hard and consistently. They even were ok with making another stop along the way to pick up some additional items. We moved from one town home to another so lots of stairs and a lot of work, it ended up being almost an entire day affair or at least seemed like it. The same effort was put in from the moment the started to the end. Pricing was very reasonable and definitely worth it for the amount of work that was done. We were very pleased with them and will use them again. They also give a 5% discount if u pay in cash and I'm all for discounts! read more

NOVA Express did an amazing job moving me out of my 1 bedroom. They moved quickly but were also very careful with my items. They took apart my ikea bed without breaking any of the pieces. The two movers were very professional and focused on getting the job done. There weren't any hidden fees and I was only charged a few dollars extra for the roll of tape they used to wrap my furniture in moving blankets. They were more affordable and straightforward about their pricing compared to the quotes I received from about 10 other movers in my area. I'm very happy with the service I received and would recommend it to others! read more

We used NOVA Express Movers for our move and had an amazing experience. It was easy to schedule and confirm our move, and the movers came exactly on time and were ready to go. Garrick and Jay were very efficient, hardworking, and professional. We would definitely recommend them! read more

I used Nova Express movers for a not too large move of apartments about half a mile apart. Not only were they available on short notice, but very price competitive. The two movers they sent out (Kay and Shannon) were what made the move particularly a smooth and stress-free process, though. I was given a wide time frame of when the movers would arrive (between 1 and 5 PM), but just after 1 PM I got a call that they would be there in half an hour. When they showed up, they were quick, effective, personable, courteous, and just overall fabulous. They even went above and beyond to take apart (and subsequently put back together) my bed frame that would not fit in the elevator. The whole process was done in two and a half hours. I would not hesitate to use Nova Express Movers again, but again in particular I would request Kay and Shannon again-- they are model employees and can be trusted and welcome in your home and making a stressful day feel less stressful! read more

I moved from Leesburg to Ashburn and used NOVA Express Movers. The two men that moved me were.Vlad and Anvar they did an amazing job. I was so impressed at how hard they worked from the second they arrived to the second my move was completed. They were both polite and very friendly and made me feel very comfortable during my move. I have used other companies in the past but now know which company I will only use in the future and.that is NOVA Express Movers they are the best from the first email that I sent to the scheduling handled by Anne. Thank you so much to Vlad and Anvar you were.the BEST!!!! read more

I find it interesting that people have had such great reviews of this company. The reviews appear to be skewed towards moves without incident. Agreed, that the movers are efficient and friendly. However, the company is not responsive to incidents. In my case, damage to the property was not reported during or on completion of the move. In one instance, damage stair rail post resulting in a chip of wood. Instead of reporting it, the chip was picked up and removed. In another instance, installing a bed resulted in a scrap across hard wood floor. I tried to contact the owner on these concerns, but they company is unresponsive. I am in the process of filing a formal complaint to the company. I expect companies to be honest and accountable. This company has demonstrated neither. read more

Kudos to Alex, Super K and Mike at Nova Express Movers. They were hard-working, courteous, and pleasant throughout the move. We moved yesterday (temperatures in the upper 90s w/high humidity) and the job was done with care and efficiency, and everything went smoothly. They were on schedule and nothing was scratched or damaged in any way. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Nova Express Movers for your next move. read more

I was referred to Nova Express by a friend who had used them twice before. I obtained 3 quotes from different movers and while Nova Express was not the cheapest(nor the most expensive) I went with them. I booked them 3 months out from my move. Approximately 10 days before my move I received an email cancelling my reservation. I called a little freaked out and was reassured by Ann and D that my reservation was still there and the movers would be there on time. In the days prior to the move, I received calls confirming the details of the move. On the morning of the move, I was called and given an ETA. They were spot on. Arriving on time. I had 4 movers. They were AWESOME. Hard working and polite. Never complaining when I asked them to rearrange the furniture in my new house several times. The entire process took about 6 hours which I did not think was unreasonable. If I had a complaint, it would only be that they charged a small service fee because I used a card and didn't pay cash but in the scheme of things that wasn't a big deal. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone who asked! read more

We were moving about 5 miles, with only 10-15 pieces of furniture. We had a 3 man crew, who showed up on time. One introduced himself (Kirk), but they were all polite and straight to the point. They finished the move in 2 1/2 hours. The only reason I took one star away was the cleanliness in the back of the truck, as trash was evident. I am very big on clean, however it is not something that would keep me from recommending them. My husband stated he would definitely use them again! So if you're looking for an affordable moving company that will get the job done, definitely check them out! read more

Moved a 1 bedroom apartment today and they were fantastic. Tony and Ike were the movers and they were on time, helpful, considerate, worked hard and took great care of my stuff. It's always great to have movers who treat your belongings with the same care you would for your own and have a positive attitude. I'll be using them again whenever it is I move out. read more

We needed to get some boxes--a LOT of boxes--out of our house and into a storage locker, after our recent long-distance move (no furniture or appliances). After researching our options extensively, I found Nova Express Movers, and was so fortunate that I did! Every part of the process was pleasant and efficient (and we have moved a lot, so we know the difference): making and confirming the appointment, providing our requirements, waiting for the arrival of the truck and crew (Lee, Danis, and George), watching the team get right to work, appreciating the care they used to handle and load our stuff, communicating throughout, and having the whole process take less time than originally estimated (at a much lower cost than all other estimates I had gathered). My husband worked for one of the major moving companies (during college), and he's very picky--and also extremely impressed by the professionalism, efficiency, responsiveness, care, and courtesy provided by these movers. We could not have chosen better, and are very grateful for their help. read more

Fantastic experience. Kirk, Joe, and Meechir were fast, efficient, friendly and professional. They know their business and they work hard and quick - yet carefully. Estimate was 7-9 hours but the four guys (Quinton, Marquise, Jaime, and Gary) moved us out and into new home in 6 hours... And that's with a fully packed 24 foot truck! We moved from a three bedroom single family to five bedroom single family. They were efficient with moving everything out. I would actually rate 4.5 stars only because whenever they were told to put something somewhere in the new house, they would often put it in the wrong spot. Also, they left first but came back last... I'm thinking they may have stopped for lunch. Not sure. read more

I am so happy I chose nova express movers for my move from Arlington to bethesda. The crew (Ike and Damian) were nothing but courteous, professional and efficient. I was concerned about moving some antique furniture and a glass table, but again, Ike and Damian took fabulous care of me and my goods, and everything arrived not only intact, but they seamlessly put the furniture back exactly as they found it. Additionally, up until the move, this company was a dream to work with and Anne was responsive and organized. I most definitely will recommend nova express to my friends, and, additionally, will encourage them to request Damian and Ike for their crew! read more

I have been using Nova Express Movers for years, long before they became as large as they are now (well done guys!). They always do a great job during my moves, are on time, and are sure to be courteous and efficient. They have excellent pricing for what you get (I typically use a 20 or 24 ft truck with 3-4 men) and the man power, along with the fact that they pro-rate any hours they did not fully use - I would highly recommend them. I have done my fair share of moving throughout my 20's before buying a home recently and have turned to them every time because they can rarely be beat for pricing and I know that I can trust them to not only show up on time but to provide me with an efficient team of guys. I'd recommend emailing or calling them for a quote for your move to see for yourself. Thanks Nova Express Movers for a great experience, as always. read more
