Used them for a local 1BR move. I move annually and have used several different companies. These guys were the best! Arrived early unlike, well, just about every other moving company I've used. 2 guys did the job efficiently, 2.5 hours from a basement apartment to a third-floor unit. Did not complain about the stairs or take any breaks except to enjoy the breakfast and water I brought them :) Movers were friendly and polite. Great value-Arrival fee is a bit higher than some companies ($129 versus typical $100) but labor rate is on the lower end ($89/hour for 2-man crew versus $150+). Tip: if you're paying much lower than this, they're probably not a licensed/insured company! read more

Great service! The guys were professional, friendly, and efficient. Will use this company for moves in the future.

Just a great moving experience overall. I will give myself a pat on the back...since I've moved a lot in my life..I am decent at organizing and being prepared for moves. That aside, Nova Express was awesome. On time, polite, great to work with...just a great experience. Highly recommend. read more

I hired nova express movers to move my townhouse from tysons to arlington. Everything from the quote process the the actual move was a breeze. These guys were very professional and did a superb job in the minimum possible time. Their rates were extremely reasonable , better than anyone else and a high quality job. Definitely recommended and would use them again. read more

I was looking for movers and came across Nova Express based on their reviews. From the moment I contacted them via email they were extremely responsive and helpful. Scheduling 2 movers and a 16 ft truck was a breeze and they even called me the day before to confirm my appointment. My move time was scheduled between 9-9:30 am and they arrived at 9:06 am! My move was 25 miles from a 2 bedroom to a 1 bedroom and everything was completed within 4 hours. The 2 movers that came were extremely professional, friendly and hard working. I could not be more satisfied. I would recommend this to anyone who needs movers (proof in the reviews)! Even when I'm ready to move in the future, they will be my number 1 choice! read more

Efficient, professional and inexpensive. Highly recommend. Good, quality service. I would use them again.

We called NoVA Express Movers after a referral from a coworker who had worked with them recently. He raved about them and their work on his move. From the first interaction in getting a quote to the crew coming to the house, this company was absolutely fabulous. I received a quote almost immediately and was able to lock in a time which was relatively short term. Their prices were very reasonable with an hourly rate, so you pay for what you need. Our movers, Kay and Brandon, arrived within the promised window. They were exceedingly professional the entire time that they were with us. Because the cost is based upon an hourly rate, the time that is required for the move is, of course, important. These guys worked so efficiently and quickly the entire time, and yet were very careful with our furniture. There was no down time whatsoever even when we encouraged them to take a break. They accomplished our move in less time than I thought it would take. They were also so friendly and knowledgeable. This feels almost weird to say because moving isn't exactly fun, but it was actually a pleasant experience. Our movers even helped us figure out the best way to arrange one of the rooms that turned out to be tricky. They were patient as we were figuring it out and consultative when we asked their opinions. Some of the qualities that I pointed out here were similar to the things that my coworker said about his move - friendly, professional, careful, efficient, and quick. It seems that those qualities are par for the course with this company. We highly recommend NoVA Express Movers and would use them again without hesitation. read more

I was extremely pleased with my experience. Moving is so stressful but these guys are so professional, fast and incredibly nice. This is the fourth time I've moved and this company is far and away the best. Recommend highly. read more

NoVa Express movers helped us move out of a 3-bedroom townhouse and into a single family home in Haymarket, VA. We went with NoVa Express because of all the great reviews I found on Yelp and I was very pleased with the efficiency and professionalism of Joe and his crew. They loaded all of our belongings on a Sunday morning and kept our household items over night until we closed on our home the following day. I would definitely recommend NoVa Express to anyone thinking about hiring a moving company. read more

I am calling these folks next time I need to move, no questions asked. They showed up on time, professional throughout, and made the moving process very simple and stress free, all at a very reasonable price. Great job Vlad and team! read more

Great service. They're quick and assemble/move furniture without ruining walls and floors.

Management was on point and fair. We would consider using them again. They were highly recommended by personal friends.

We hired Nova Express Movers based on the Yelp reviews - they were 5 star. We moved from Fairfax to Newport News with a drop off in Alexandria. All the people involved in the arrangements and the move were excellent - Alex, Jake, Anne and Kirk. Nothing was broken or scratched. The entire move took 8 1/2 hours - way less than I expected. Their prices are simple so I knew pretty much what to expect. We highly recommend them. read more

Thrilled with the service from Nova Express Movers! We were impressed each step of the way - the movers arrived on time, were super friendly, very careful with our furniture, efficient and you can't beat the price! Will be recommending to others. read more

I called back in early January hoping to get immediate help for moving due to a bit of scheduling miscalculation on my part. I was surprised that I was able to book them the upcoming weekend and it was for a fair price. I had just moved into a new house with new flooring and painting so I asked them to be extra careful and I'm very thankful that they listened. I had moved the bulk of my smaller belongings from my storage unit to the home but now I wish I had left some of the smaller, heavier stuff for them to move as well! They moved the heavier items like the couch, chairs, big screen TV, mattresses, dresser, etc, and they were very careful in putting down each item. They were quick and efficient, got my belongings from the storage unit to my home (not a great distance though) safely and securely. The two men who came were also polite and courteous. I've had negative to mediocre experiences with movers in the past but I wouldn't hesitate to hire NoVa Express Movers again given how smoothly things went with them. read more

Had to do an quick move, and we schedule the move quickly and efficiently. Ron and Ike came right on time and moved everything in great time. If I need things moved, I would use them again. They did great! Thanks again. read more

This was my first time hiring a moving company, and NOVA Express made it such a great experience! Joe, Poochy, and Amouir were great. They were friendly and worked very quickly. I had multiple flights of stairs on the way down and one on the way up, but they used a relay system to make quick work of it. They saved me so much time and pain, and I'm so thankful for the great experience. Price was also fantastic -- best service I've ever paid for! read more

We were so pleased with the movers from NOVA Express back in 2018 we used them again in May 2019. They workers were terrific - they worked so hard. And all of the men (Robert, Dale, Ralindo and Mike) were polite and pulled their weight. The scheduling was an easy process and I knew exactly what the services were going to cost me. read more

I needed to move from alexandria to Vienna at the end of September and had two movers and a truck come help me move. I had also have to reschedule a few times and they were really understanding and there were no issues. I had already moved the smaller things myself and only needed help moving the larger things like the couch, bed, mattress etc. They arrived on time, and got right to it, even with disassembling my ikea bed and reassembling it at my new place, the move was completed in only 3.5 hours! The movers ( I don't remember their names) were really professional and worked quickly, I tipped them $40 each. The total for the move cost was exactly the amount I had for my budget. I would use them again for another move. read more

We have used NOVA Express Movers twice and both experiences were great. They are professional, friendly and efficient. No hassles with the quote, setting up a move time and working with the movers. Pricing is very good with no hidden charges. Would definitely recommend. read more

We used Nova Express Movers for a move that was literally down the street. Tony, the guy in charge, was extremely professional and helpful and had a very calm demeanor that is key for stressed-out movers. He and his crew (Mike and AJ, I think?) did a great job and holy cow are they strong. I can't believe the amount of heavy furniture (dressers with full drawers, etc.) they managed to get into their truck just lifting it. We told them we wanted to get things done quickly and they did not dawdle at all. 2.5 hours later they were finished. Also the dispatcher (Jan) was super helpful and professional. Highly recommended. Just remember that they charge a fee for credit card use and offer a 5 % discount for cash. No checks. Would use again! read more

My fiancé and I moved from a one bedroom condo to a three bedroom townhouse, and we could not have asked for a better team. The three gentlemen that moved our belongings were careful and fast. Which is exactly what you want when paying per hour. I have already recommended NOVA Express Movers to my neighbor and plan to tell anyone else I can about them. A true 5 star company! Anne is great at getting back to emails very quickly and the movers were professional! No need to look any further, go with NOVA! read more

Joe and Omar are absolute rockstars! I'm a moving industry veteran and am more than impressed with how efficient these two were. The best move experience I've ever seen! read more

These folks were very professional, and very polite. It was like old timey customer service. They all called me sir, and were very considerate of my house. After having a terrible moving experience, this company made me see how easy it could have been. They made me pay the processing fee on the credit card which was off-putting, but they didn't charge for any of the standard moving stuff, so it was a wash. They moved a 125 gallon fish tank with no issues, and when I joked I wanted to move it back up two flights, they just said "sure," with no hesitation. read more

This is the second time we used Nova express. They confirmed the day before. They called when they were on the way and arrived on time. Kay and Danis did an excellent job. They wrapped all breakable objects. They loaded everything quickly and unloaded just as fast. They were very easy to work with and would use them again. read more

Just wonderful! I needed some movers to help me last minute, literally the day of because I thought I was able to do it on my own but turned out to be more then I could handle. Two men came with their own truck and did it just in two hours for my little townhouse for $329. Thank God for nova express movers I don't know what I would've done without them, Thank you nova express!! read more

NOVA express movers were very professional and handled all my furniture with upmost care. I was especially nervous about my Grandmother's hutch but they made sure it was properly protected and moved smoothly. The movers were easy to work with too. Only downside was they misplaced the hardware to one of the guest beds so we had to buy some to put it back together. Otherwise, great moving experience! read more

The two guys for my move last weekend showed up 30 minutes late, but that was OK since you don't start paying until they arrived. They were very good about keeping the move under 3 hours (the company's minimum charge is 3 hours). Both guys were friendly and helpful, though one didn't speak great English. Some of my boxes got a little squished here and there, so it's a good thing I don't own many nice/breakable things. They disassembled and reassembled my bedframe upon request, which was great. I would use them again. read more

A heartfelt thank you to your team for moving us successfully to our new home! We so much appreciated the professional and considerate efficiency of your movers -- Vlad, Marquis, Jay and Key. This team of young men is absolutely amazing. We were very much impressed with their courteous communication and disciplined practice of moving us from one home to another. We undoubtedly would recommend your company to others and especially this team. Thank you so much once again to Vlad, Marquis, Jay and Key. read more

2nd move using NOVA Express Movers. Great job and great customer service. Easy to book and nice people.

Kay and Danis did an amazing job with our local move! They called us twice before arriving: One time early in the day to give us an estimate of their arrival time and then again when they were a few minutes away. They both worked quickly and were careful with our furniture. Very professional! I would absolutely recommend this company (Kay and Danis specifically) to others in need of quality movers! read more

Our movers were Shaun and Luis, and they were fantastic! They helped us load a very full one bedroom apartment into a truck. Not only did they communicate with us in a timely manner about their arrival, they also arrived early and were helpful in navigating our truck in a tight alley. They worked quickly and had excellent communication with each other as well as with us. We had a large number of boxes, a bed, multiple couches, table, a large entertainment stand, dressers, bookshelves, etc. They were able to move and pack the truck in a safe and organized manner in just under the scheduled time. They were kind, polite, and professional. Overall, Shaun and Luis made a very stressful day less stressful with their disposition and hard work. We are incredibly grateful for their work and if we ever return to the area, we will be sure to use Nova Express again! Thank you Shaun and Luis. read more

We've used Nova Express Movers twice and had great experiences. Movers are very efficient. We've also recommended to 2 other people who have been just as pleased! read more

Don't know why my last review came down, maybe I was to honest in my account. 1. Stay away from these morons 2. You get what you pay for, and make sure you have your own insurance 3. get ready to jump through hoops to make a reservation 4. have a back up plan, as they will cancel on you for a bigger job to insure they make more money. 5. read steps 1-4 and call another company so you don't suffer as we did at the last minute! read more

These guys did a great job -- Jay, Hoss, "poochie" . We moved an entire house on 6/14, and what we anticipated as a 5-6 hr move, became a 12 hr move (our fault) based on mis-judged amount of items. The whole crew was patient, did as we asked, and had a great never-quit attitude. read more

No complaints here. They arrived on time, worked quickly and professionally. Whenever an item needed some special attention which may have resulted in additional expense (special wrapping of the couch, for example), the workers explained what they were doing and why it was needed. Delivery was right on time as well, and they even accommodated a few requests to move around some furniture after we decided we wanted a few items in different places. All in all a top notch experience. Couldn't have gone more smoothly. read more

excellent choice to use this company for my move. The basics -- they were organized in the booking, showed up on time, all English speaking (which is good because i don't speak any other language!!!), they showed up on time, they quoted an estimate of move time and were pretty close to it and they took great care with my stuff. They really were perfect, easy to work with -- i would recommend them to anyone. They do accept credit cards as well, for a nominal fee of 3% which covers their fee. read more

I've never used movers before, but after my experience with NOVA Express Movers, I'm thoroughly impressed, and never moving myself again! The guys showed up right on time, and as soon as they introduced themselves, they quickly walked around with me to see everything they had to move, and immediately got to work. They had the whole truck packed up within an hour, and unpacked within an hour on the other side. After unpacking everything, the guys quickly walked through with me to ask if I wanted any furniture moved to a different location within the rooms (which they set up for me as they unloaded, which was SO helpful!). They were such an amazing team, super efficient, joked around a bit between loads of stuff, and everything arrived safe and sound. It was also great having all the furniture in the rooms set up as I wanted to let me get right into unpacking and enjoying my new place! You should definitely use these guys! read more

NOVA Express Movers did a great job. We had a problem arise with the first moving company we selected, but NOVA was able to take the job last minute (just four days before the move) and did a fantastic job. The price was right, the two gentlemen who moved us were very careful with our belongings, and they got it all done just before we were hit with a blizzard. The communication from the truck driver and NOVA's back office were also excellent. I highly recommend them! read more

These guys were great. Some highpoints: - Arrived on time - Did not nickel and dime me on things like tape etc. that I have seen some other movers do - I had scheduled them for two hours. The informed me 15 mins before the 2 hours, and when I requested an additional hour, were very clear on how their additional pricing worked. - They packed stuff that I did not have in boxes into a large crate and moved it between the apartments - my move was within the same building. - Very up-front about all charges I would highly recommend these movers. read more
