I don't like bundt cakes. Usually they're dry and they don't even have icing on them, the best part of any cake. But these bundt cakes aren't like any bundt cakes, or any other cake, for that matter, that you've ever tasted. Moist and fresh and tender beyond compare. I tried the chocolate chocolate chip flavor and the yummy cake was spun with bits of chocolate. As far as icing, there's plenty, a rich, sweet cream cheese drizzled all across the top. First of all, I love the name. I laugh on the inside every time I think about it. A colleague at work ordered a cake from here that I thought was pretty good, so I figured I take a trip to Nothing Bundt Cake to see what else they had to offer. They have some of the nicest people working at this location. They made sure to point out the samples in the corner, and they didn't rush us to make a choice. I'm sure they're probably used to people taking forever to make a decision. I was excited, but I thought getting an individual Bundtlet would be best. I got the white chocolate raspberry and the pecan praline Bundlet, while my friend got the carrot Bundlet. The cakes were very moist and soft, but we both agreed that there was wayyyy too much buttercream frosting, specifically the buttercream frosted center. I love sweets. I challenge anyone to go up against my sweet tooth. But even I had to admit that there was too much sweet on sweet, with nothing cutting it. The raspberry notes were subtle at best; they almost nonexistent. The carrot cake Budlet was supposed to have pineapples, but we didn't anything close to pineapple. I think Nothing Bundt Cake is a solid place, but overall the flavor notes need to be expanded. read more

I'm a sucker for a pun, so when I saw "Nothing Bundt Cakes" in Hyde Park Plaza, I knew I was going to check it out. :) We got a free mini bundt cake coupon in the mail, so we stopped in yesterday to get dessert. The girls working the counter were so sweet, and they immediately started explaining their cake options (so many sizes and flavors!) and gave us a sample of their white white chocolate bundt with buttercream frosting. YUM it was so moist and delicious! They have 10" cakes (serves 18-20, $32), 8" cakes (serves 8-10, $22), bundtlets which are for 1-2 people ($4.25), and bundtinis which are cupcake sized (a dozen for $19.50). The prices seemed very reasonable, especially considering that all of the ingredients are fresh and they bake them onsite every day. They have 10 flavors, including chocolate chocolate chip, red velvet, lemon, and many more. For our free bundtlet, we got the carrot cake to go. It was delicious, with chunks in it, and a sweet cream cheese frosting. But I do think that the white white chocolate was better, so next time I will get that one or the white chocolate raspberry. I know this store is a chain, but the owners are local and they make everything local. I think that they do a great job with their cakes, everyone was so friendly, and the store is super cute...They have everything you need to plan a party, including decorations! The cake came with a large paper flower on top and unique paper decorations. My husband said the cake was incredibly moist and "is better than Servatii's." To say these words is nearly a sin in our family. We are diehard Servatii fans. Hmmm... I'll have to try this place and see for myself. I'm normally not a huge fan of chains, but there is certainly something to be said about uniformity when it's uniformly perfect every single time. Unfortunately half of our 48 cakes were ruined when we opened up the sealed boxes. While they said they were intact when they boxed them we don't know what they looked like during hand off at the bakery as they did not show us what was inside. We did find that if you hold the box on the bottom all of the cakes move out of place. Ironically all of the cakes that had toothpick decoration toppers were ok. All of the ones without toppers fell all over the place inside. Just so disappointed and manager would not accept responsibility at all. My wife usually asks me to stop through here every couple of weeks. I'm not usually a big dessert person, but I could eat these cakes all day long! Although they are a little pricey, you definitely get your money's worth as these cakes are always moist, juicy, and flavorful. I have tried all the flavors (including gluten free), and have not found one I didn't like. My favorite is chocolate chocolate chip, but the seasonal Strawberry they have right now is amazing as well! The in-store experience is very nice, as the story is clean and the staff is friendly. One time, we showed up about 10 minutes after they closed and the owner actually re-opened the store so we could make our purchase! The free samples that they give out are always awesome, as you get to try different flavors everyone. I really love this place! The bundt cakes are always moist, fluffy, and tasty! Interesting enough I was able to even get my husband hooked on these...and he does not even like sweets. He says that he likes that they are not super sweet like a cupcake might be. The cream cheese frosting is delish. I like that they have so much variety in flavors, but they tend to stick to popular ones. For example, pumpkin flavor around the fall time. (couldn't put my finger on it) and I thought there was a rogue chocolate chip? (only one chip) but apparently they add chocolate chips to their red velvet batter. I was so excited to see a Nothing Bundt Cakes coming to Cincinnati! It is a chain I visited when living in Arizona many times. We always got their cakes for social occasions at our office. I can't wait to carry on that tradition here. I'm not a cake person, and when I do eat cake I tend to scrape off all the icing. But Nothing Bundt Cakes have the most moist, delicious cake, topped with the creamiest icing, I couldn't waste a single crumb. My favorite is the White Chocolate Raspberry, followed closely by the White White Chocolate, though there are still a few flavors I haven't tried. I stopped in last night to confirm this new location is as amazing as the other I've been to, and it is! Oh hey, this chain is everywhere At $4.25 each, you get a palm sized cake, it's a really dense, moist desert. Really rich too, you need a drink to wash it down. If you wrap it up, it can last a good 2-3 days later, which is nice if you want to save it before it gets dry and crumby like other cakes. The prices for their larger ones are around $20, I would probably get one if I were to host a dinner party or brunch, would be a great dessert for guests :) My favorite is the white chocolate raspberry, but their regular white cake one is great too. I find their white icing weird, must be because I love crane games, because I can't unsee a "claw hand" grab the cake. It's pretty sweet, so this spot is for those with a sweet tooth! read more

The employees are also very friendly, which makes the store very welcoming. My favorite thing about this place is that there are always samples! I also like that they have new flavors for different times of the year, for example, during Mother's Day they had a strawberry cream flavor bundt cake. Gluten free is also an option!
