Can't believe this is our first time coming to Norms. They are celebrating their 75th anniversary this year. Well that's speaks volume... once we walked in, it felt like retro movie, that awesome diner atmosphere when you know you are getting great old fashioned hearty food, is unbeatable. Service was amazing . Our server Kristina was super. So friendly, sweet and just beautiful. That lady made our experience at norms just wonderful, honestly besides the good food she will be my other reason to come back here. Ambience was casual, light and positive. Food lives up to its hype, those bone in chicken wings were soooo good, we got the garlic Parmesan one, but for sure need to go back for lemon pepper ones as well :) Big plus, they are open 24 hours and you can have pancakes at any given time. Food was priced fairly and was good overall experience for the first time being there. The cotton candy lemonade had an interesting taste to it in a good way. The ambiance is nice cozy feel with customers around similar to Denny's. Parking is available in the back of the diner and also a few spaces on the street in front of the diner. My only issues were the restroom cleanliness at the time didn't look to be clean. As well as the service it was fair for the amount of people that were there, but it felt like the server was rushing us to leave giving us the bill even though we planned to order dessert. Some of the servers were much more friendly. read more

When me and my bf arrived at Norms we were greeted by Kristina, she was friendly attentive and had great energy. Our drinks came quickly followed by our orders. A fresh club sandwich and country fried steaks and eggs! Coffee was also great, don't forget to ask for flavored creamer. Do NOT order take out from this Norms location. Your food will sit out and get cold before it's picked up and they WILL skimp you on your portions. It's like they suddenly forget how to do their jobs when no one's watching them. I received ice cold food from this location and I live 3 minutes away!! That being said, eating inside the restaurant is perfectly fine but man am I disappointed in your Norms. Do better!! read more

I love Norms! Their food is delicious! My personal favorite is the potato leek soup! Sadly it's only served on Wednesdays. I wish they had it every day! We especially enjoy going to the Van Nuys location because Kristina, our favorite waitress, always provides outstanding service! She's friendly and sweet. She makes sure our water is always refilled and checks on us regularly to makes sure if there's anything else we need. read more

My family and I enjoy dining at Norms Sunday afternoons, we are just leaving right now and our service was bad. The food arrived 1-2 plates at a time, and my dad never received his burger. He purposefully ordered a burger and pancakes together at once because a previous time he never received his pancakes (with the same server!!!). This time, his burger took a really long time while we all finished our meal he still hadn't gotten it. The restaurant wasn't even that busy for the food to have taken that long, if it was busy I would understand of course, but that wasn't the case here. I asked the server to simply cancel his order because my dad was already EXTREMELY upset because this was the second time this happened and with the same server, Tom. Next time we dine in we'll be asking for Kristina, she's given us EXCELLENT service! read more

We ordered the fish and chips and they were crispy and hot. We ordered the eggs Benedict, which were good with big pieces of ham. We also ordered the value meal which comes with a drink,half a sandwich ( i got the BLT, which was delicious with plenty of bacon) and also I got the gumbo soup and the Caesar salad. Our server was Kristina with a K and she was super sweet and personable. She took care of us like we were family and got our orders perfectly. As soon as we ordered, we quickly received our salads and soups and our drinks! The hostess was also nice when we walked in and made us feel welcome. They played big band type music as we enjoyed our food giving this diner a nostalgic feel. Overall I feel our experience here was great and I would come back when I am in the mood for a good soup and salad or a yummy breakfast. read more

My best friend and I visited Norms on Sherman Way , Van Nuys. Kristina waited on us. She was fantastic, let us look at the menu at our own pace. Gave us plenty of time and took our order with care. She came by and told us they where running a little behind in the kitchen. While waiting she brought us complementary bowls of soup. Yet the order came quickly. Kristina was a pleasure to talk to. Always a pleasure to stop here. Came after my baby's doctor's appointment and it was a great day to stop by. We were sat right away and our order was taken smoothly. Our drinks came out fast and the wait for the food was great. Our food was super tasty and the loaded hash browns are worth the upgrade. Our server Adriana was super attentive and took care of us. I ordered the steak n eggs breakfast thru Grub Hub this morning . Everything was made according to my specs, especially the steak being WELL done ! My order arrived in a reasonable amount of time, and the food was still warm upon my arrival. The only negative was that I did check off the silverware box and no silverware was in the bag. This location is packed with great service and really good food. Our server was Sirinart and she was outstanding! Extremely polite, professional, and prompt. Today I tried the Gobble Gobble with pancakes. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. This is a very popular location so you might have a small waiting period to get a table but the food and service are worth the wait. Keep up the incredible job serving the community. I always get their Chilaquiles and Chocolate Chip Pancakes with an Iced Cafe De Olla. They have different sauces for their chilaquiles and each one is so good. The pancakes are always warm and fluffy. Service is top tier. Everyone is so welcoming and tries to accommodate you in a timely manner as they do get really busy. Ambiance is great. A cozy breakfast spot with seating inside and some outside. It's on the smaller side so it does get packed. I would recommend being there early. Overall , I'll always tell people to try Cafe De Olla if they haven't yet. It's that good and I'll always come back.

Bruxie was kind of hard to gauge on how to order - there's a walk-up window for ordering and pick-up orders, but employees can also walk right up to you and place your order for you. You can also order online ahead, so yeah slightly confusing but as long as you put your order in you're golden. They have four big tables outside along with counter seating on the sidewalk. If it gets too hot or cold, they also have seating inside an old train car that is purely counters only. We sat inside the train car, but the only caveat is that people are constantly going in/out and they sometimes leave the door open. They also have a water station inside the train car if you want to cool off. My wife and I both ordered the Kickin' "Nashville" Hot Chicken Sandwich and we shared the Loaded Waffle-Cut Fries. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time - if you're dining there, the employees bring out your food wherever you are and provide plastic utensils along with sauces. The hot chicken sandos live up to their namesake, packing quite a kick! The loaded waffle fries hit the spot. If you're in NoHo looking for some good chicken & waffles, Bruxie will satisfy! We can't wait to come back and try more of their menu! They're open late too if you have some late night cravings (they close at midnight Thurs, Fri & Sat).
