As a die hard Nordstrom fan I was super stoked to be able to visit the flagship AKA Mecca, during my recent visit to Seattle. I was here during a conference and realized that somehow I forgot ALL of my lipstick and lipgloss. During one of the lunch breaks I ran over to the Chanel counter and one of the makeup associates in less than a minute helped me pick out this lovely rosegold lipgloss that was fun but still professional. I then ran up the escalators to salon shoes to pick out some loafers. I initially had asked to see some Tod's loafers. The associate brought those shoes along with at least five other loafers of different brands that I hadn't even considered. I did notice that they carried some shoe brands that they do not have at other nordstroms or even online like Chanel. As other people have mentioned they have actual Chanel and Louis Vuitton stores within the stores as well if you are into that. Anyways, I ended up getting a pair super comfy loafers I hadn't even considered, which they were able to mail to me because I didn't have any room in my suitcase. I then ran to the women's department next to the shoes and asked one of the stylists to pull me some some stretchy slacks and cozy oversized sweaters. I came back to the store during my next break and walked out with the exact outfit I was looking for within 20 min tops. The customer service is incredible and is the main reason why I keep going back. I was so thrilled that the flagship lives up to that same level of excellence. read more

Why I love this particular Nordstrom: *NARS Cosmetics Counter: I first got hooked onto this brand after not receiving attention at the MAC counter (more on that later). I walked by and the guy who was working that day asked me if I wanted to try some of their products. He pretty much gave me a makeover on the spot and I ended up not only purchasing new makeup to add to my (already) large makeup collection, but he hooked me up with their illuminator glow in orgasm! *Bobbi Brown Cosmetics counter: The people who work at this counter are so friendly and helpful. They also never pressure me to buy their products which makes it even better. *In-store events are a lot of fun here, especially the cosmetic ones. * They sell Deborah Lippmann products in-store! Barneys in DT recently informed me they stopped selling their line. *Sales!!! This is when I wait to buy shoes and clothes (that I probably don't need. haha) *On-site tailoring: I've had jeans, swimwear and my bridesmaid dress altered here. Their tailoring team does a great job. *Return policy: when I did have to exchange or return a purchase (which was very rare) they never asked any questions and honored it. One of my peeves is shopping at places that do not allow returns. *Customer service here is 99% amazing! What I don't like about this location: *MAC Counter: I used to be a MAC addict back in the day, where I would drop $200 a visit. Yeah I know, it was REALLY bad. Over the years, I felt like this counter slowly developed a pretentious vibe to the point where I got better service when I had a full face of makeup than coming barefaced. I prefer to go makeup shopping barefaced so it would be less of a hassle to try on products. I had my last straw when I asked a MAC girl on how she did her eye makeup and instead of showing me on my face, all she did was tell me "oh i just put some black eyeshadow in this corner, some silver in the center, etc." If I didn't know how to apply my own makeup, I would have been lost with what she was trying to describe to me. Oh well from that day I fell in love with the NARS counter so it was meant to be. Other than that, I LOVE shopping here. In these times of online shopping and sites like Gilt, my shopping for clothing at B&M stores has dropped. With the exception of the after Christmas clearance season when you can find good deals. As such, I am most of the time browsing rather than buying at Nordstrom. Considering this location is the flagship store, I think that they should have a larger selection of items. However it is about as comprehensive as the Macy's down the block. Though the products sold are slightly more high end with the prices to reflect this. I don't find anything in the clearance racks here worth picking up. I think it is because of the high traffic of this store which means pickings are slim. I have better success with finding clearance items shopping on the online store website or heading over to Nordstrom Rack. However when Nordstrom holds their Anniversary Sale, it is worth checking out the store to see what is new and exciting. Though be forewarned that weekends can get crowded here when the Anniversary Sale or the half yearly sales comes along. Like a zoo. Not so bad if you are shopping any other part of the year however. Therein lies the conclusion. I think the selection here is good, but I can find many of these products or something similar elsewhere for less. If it is not on sale, no sale! read more

I've walked through the ground floor of this Nordstrom on multiple occasions, and I never realized that it's the flagship store, or that it is as nice as it is. Well, today I finally walked the whole store, and it is what a flagship should be. I'm in the market for a high-end bag, so I went specifically to the purse section. The selection is huge. As other reviews mention, there is a Chanel, Gucci, Prada, and Louis Vuitton. What's not mentioned is that there's also a Saint Laurent, and since I was specifically looking for a YSL bag, I was pleasantly surprised by that. I was dressed casually because I'm a pretty casual person, and I'd rather people treat me nicely simply because they want to, not because they think I can "afford it." The sales associate in Saint Laurent was very nice. He was helping someone else when I walked in, and as soon as she left he came right over and offered to unlock a bag for me. He handed it right over to me and encouraged me to try it on. He didn't hover and watch me, or act like he was afraid I was going to take off with it. I looked around there for a bit, then checked out the Givenchy and Chloe sections. The sales associates there smiled and said hello, and they made it clear that if I needed something to just let they know. Then I went to Louis Vuitton. I'm not actually a fan of LV, but I wanted to go in and check it out anyway. The sales associates greeted me and smiled, which was nice. But then I asked to see a bag, and one sales associate unlocked it but basically refused to let me hold it. She was obvious really nervous. It was day-and-night different from a Saint Laurent, and the bags were the same price. That left a bad taste in my mouth. All in all, this Nordstrom was very nice. There's tons of handbags, shoes, clothing, and makeup to choose from. The people working there are mostly nice and welcoming, in my experience. I'll shop at this location again, but skip LV. read more

A long awaited review. I travel to the Seattle area for work and I visit this location frequently. Since Nordstrom's is headquartered here this one is beyond the best. Reason being?!? There are designers galore here. One of the very few that carry CHANEL handbags, accessories and shoes. Yasssss, Chanel. The buyer here picks up more items and selections before Neiman Marcus/Saks. I was able to purchased a hard to find brooch that wasn't even available at the main Chanel Boutique, Neimans or Saks. They also have a great selection of Christian Louboutin shoes. read more

This store did not disappoint. My sales associate sent a text in advance about a designer men's wear sale. When we met up two days later, he had several specific suggestions. Since we are similarly built, he guessed at things he suspected I'd like. He stretched my style a bit, which is why I shop there. I found two jackets (one is truly special), two shirts, pair of pants, sandals, dress shoes, and a hat on sale. Well, obviously this place has to be better since it is a flagship!!! Fast forward two years later, I was looking to see if I could get some Chanel shoes on sale. My local Nordstrom didn't have the colors/styles I wanted and Neiman Marcus was so unhelpful. Someone passed along a sales associate's information to me and I have to say, she went above and beyond. She is definitely the best department sales associate I've worked with. She got some shoes in my size and shipped them to me in a jiffy. Men's Department and Men's Shoes: I prefer this Nordstrom than any other one in town, way better than the Bellevue one. Very helpful, friendly, approachable, will say hi whether you are buying something or not. Bought some gifts here for Christmas and even though they are busy they even go out of the way to answer your questions when completing your transaction, will come back to check on you if you are still browsing. Sometimes they may not have what you are looking for, but they are knowledgeable about their products and will make recommendations etc. Which lead me to buy something for myself while I was there. Being a guy and a local I'm overall disappointed by both the lack of selection and customer service given by most of the people who work there (there are definitely some people who are great as I have been shopping there since I was small, so I have experience shopping here). If you shop for womens clothing, this place is great but I do advice against wearing anything that's not super nice. I've been there before in sweats and not a super great outfit, and gotten almost ignored because I didn't look like I would buy anything which is understandable in retail but in reality was a little bit rude. In summary, shop here only if you are willing to spend money and look nice enough to do so because otherwise you will not get very good service if not anyone asking if you need anything. read more

Will post something about this later, five pizzas and we didn't die from apparently they made them too small which kinda makes sense as they are those "personal" or "artisanal" pizza which I find useless as tits on a bull. If you are going to make a pizza make it big with the usual toppings. It feels weird that I go to Nordstrom for shoes and then suits and now they also sell pizzas and makes me think what's new next month. The pizzas were tasty but they were anorexic in the middle there was no structural integrity to the slice swinging up turning into like droopy pizza. I ordered a pair of boots online on 10/20/2023 and was looking forward to the delivery on October 25th. When I opened the box, I was extremely disappointed to find a sweater had been mailed to me instead. When I called the customer service line to remedy the situation the only option was for me to return the sweater and reorder the boots. Now I am burdened with driving over 30 miles to the nearest Walgreens store to return an item that I never purchased, waiting 1 or 2 weeks for my refund and then ordering the boots and waiting for delivery in hopes that they are not screwed up again and I receive what I ordered. I would have been satisfied if customer service would have resent me the boots that I ordered and had me return the item. That would have been more responsible to me instead of shifting the entire burden on me when you are the ones that screwed up the order. At this point I'm not sure I will reorder the item. I won't be able to get to this until next week sometime to get the order returned. Nordstrom used to be so customer service centered and this is extremely disappointing. read more

I'm genuinely appalled at the way I was just treated by Sydney from BP and Brendan from SPACE at the Flagship location. I don't think I have had a worse experience at ANY store, let alone a Nordstrom store. Working at Nordstrom for 3 years in both customer service and on the sales floor, I am extremely confused why I had the experience I did. This experience was so far from the level of service expected of us as employees. I came in to return a couple things including a pair of shoes and a shirt. I had the box, receipt, etc for the purchase. I went up to BP counter after shopping around and was immediately met with hostility by Sydney. She seemed inconvenienced that I asked her to do the return. I wanted to return the shoes because the sling backs would not stay on and made the shoes unwearable. The shoes were worn one time because like I said unwearable. I even called customer service ahead of time to make sure I could return these. Sydney very aggressively told me "I should never be returning worn shoes" and that I would need to take them down to designer to do the return. I told her I felt like she was being passive aggressive with me and she responded with "well I was going to make an exception for you but now I'm not". The way she was raising her voice at me was actually shocking. I asked for her name and she practically yelled "my name is Sydney, IM A MANAGER". I don't know any managers that should be treating customers this way. So I followed her advice and went downstairs to SPACE to do my return. I went to the counter where Brendan and Shin Shin were standing. I asked if I could do a return and I started to say how the sling backs were falling off before Brendan cut me off mid sentence and said "I'm gonna stop you right there" while I was in the middle of talking. Then he said if the item leaves the store, it becomes un-returnable. Then he picked up my shirt and starting smelling it in front of me. Shin Shin at least was friendly and simply explained the policy to me instead of trying to do all the extras and make me uncomfortable or embarrassed like Brendan. Then he noticed my employee discount (was an employee when I bought it, no longer one) and said "ooh an employee discount, that's bad". Like why are you saying and doing all this in front of me? It's funny because I actually remember having an interaction with him about a year ago at that same SPACE counter and he was extremely rude and standoffish then as well. I will say the best part about the experience is when I took my concerns to service experience on the main floor where Mary and Felipe were so accommodating and validated all my concerns. I get it, policy is policy and I have no issue with that but maybe Nordstrom employees should work on how they deliver that message to customers without essentially degrading them to their face. No point in coming to the store when I could do all my shopping online and not have to deal with rude ass employees like Sydney and Brendan. read more

Amazing customer service. Beverly helped me in cosmetics today. She knew the inventory, how online ordering worked for items that seemed to be out of stock everywhere and suggested a work around to specific the YSL foundation being unavailable in the store. I urgently needed it for heads shots, the next day, and she went the extra mile for me. I also bought a beauty blender to ensure smooth coverage. Wow, Nordstrom's customer service has really gone downhill. With the ability to buy just about everything they sell online nowadays, you would think they would treat their loyalty members much better. I'm not a huge shopper but I spend several hundred to a couple thousand most years at their stores. It generally takes me a bit to earn their "notes." Sadly, I earned a $40 note and didn't realize they expire. Customer service said I could have bought a gift card with it that never expires but they refuse to reissue the note or give me any other compensation. Even after I just made a good size purchase? This is the OG/Flagship Nordstrom store. There are more choices to choose from here than at the Bel-Square Nordstrom. My mom was looking for a mother of the bride dress for my sister's upcoming wedding, so I took her here to look for a Tadashi Shoji dress. Angel in the women's dress department was so nice and helpful. She set us up with a room and grabbed the handful of dresses that my mother was trying on. I almost bought another Tadashi dress as well, but they didn't have any other colors in my size :( and what they had was what was in stock. When I go shopping here, I usually park at the Pacific Place garage and walk over. There is an indoor skybridge that connect Pacific Place to Nordstroms. Also, they have a nice Nordstroms Cafe if you're looking for a quick bite to eat after shopping. I would come here because I know that the selection is greater than at other Nordstroms. read more

I am beyond words at this moment. I'm actually beside myself with Nordstrom. I "thought" I ordered a dress online with Nordstrom on 4/1/22. I "thought" I ordered the dress in time for a big event that is coming up. I have been ordering accessories to go with this dress - trying to make sure everything comes together for this big date. I tend to make my bigger purchases with Nordstrom because of the care & attention your company provides. they wouldn't expire. So, sitting at work Wednesday morning, I decided I needed to find out when my dress is coming so I can put all of the pieces together for my upcoming event. I thought I was reading my Nordy page wrong when it said CANCELLED in bold letters. Also in a rectangular box to the right of the screen it says Request a Refund. I am confused about that. So, me thinking my Nordstrom and The Nordy Club needed to update my page info~ I then checked my PayPal- no charge; then my back - no charge at either place. I decided it was past time to call your #888. I spoke with your customer care rep and was told there was an issue in the security department- and it blocked the purchase thinking it was fraudulent activity. She said she had to submit a request so the item would go through as a purchase. If not, it would be cancelled/blocked again. I asked her to check to make sure both my home number and cell numbers were listed on my Nordy Club card info- she said yes. I then asked her to verify my email- which she did. I then became even more heated to ask WHY DOES NORDSTROM REQUIRE OUR CONTACT INFORMATION?!?!?! BUT NEVER ONCE REACHED OUT TO ME TO TELL ME THERE WAS AN ISSUE AND MY ORDER WAS NEVER PLACED........! I'm thinking my dress is on the way. While I'm fact it's not even ordered.... I really needed this issue escalated- this is unacceptable. No one from your customer care team contacted me not once to tell me there was an issue. I get a generic reply from Nordstrom and it says I'll be contacted in less than 24 hours- that's a joke, I had to contact Nordstrom. I was patched through to the customer care department. I left a message over 1.5 hrs ago. If this is the "quality care" Nordstrom provides I will take my spending energy elsewhere. And my dress is not ordered. So- at this point how do we resolve this?? I am writing this review specifically on the incredible service I received from Ericka Sterns at the Estée Lauder make up counter. I am in town from Southern California and am visiting Seattle for the first time, thus resulting in super dry dry skin!!! I had a date and an interview so I needed make up on all day and something natural. I will say that Ericka has done a phenomenal job in educating me on brand new products, pallets I haven't seen in south coast (mall in SoCal). Anyways, I just have to say hand down the people at this counter were welcoming, sweet, attentive and seriously the absolute best that I'm actually writing a review. I like to come to the Nordstrom's for my make up and perfume. The make up staff are all extremely friendly. I like to get my Estée Lauder at Nordstrom's just because they have such great customer service. I'll pay more money for better customer service than go to other stores and get cheaper prices and crappy customer service. I did have a problem with the channel area of Nordstrom's. I may not look Fancy nor have a lot of money but I like to treat myself to buying the Channel Coromandel perfume. There's usually a older lady that remembers me and she helps me unfortunately she was not working. I am a pretty patient person very patient. I stood for about 10 minutes waiting for someone to help. The younger lady said 5 more minutes. She checked out the one person completely skipped me and went to help a new customer that clearly had a lot of money by the way she dressed. I know I'm not dressed nicely or have the name brand purse but it was 40 minutes later and I am like I am not getting the Coromandel perfume. I left the store sad and mad. The sales representatives should not judge a book by its cover just because I "do not look Fancy" does not mean I was not going to buy something expensive. read more

I usually shop online whenever I want to get something from Nordstrom but a couple of weeks ago I made a purchase at their Downtown Seattle location. The following day I received a survey via email. I promptly filled out the survey in which I let them know of some concerns. The survey asked me if I preferred to be contacted by phone to which I answered in the affirmative and submitted my phone number. Since then they have disdained to call me and hear my feedback let alone attempt to remedy my concerns. They closed the case after sending a generic email. Why send a survey and waste the time of paying customers if you don't even intend to make an attempt to address their issues? read more

Downtown Seattle's Nordstrom has the most amazing service and diversity! I came here after having the worse experience at Nordstrom Portland, Oregon to find a particular Gucci purse. Nordstrom of Portland, Oregon was extremely rude and even discriminatory towards my family and I, thus we walked out with nothing that day and went back to Nordstrom of Seattle, Washington. The store is absolutely beautiful. At least four stories of amazing merchandise selection and great service. Every associate was polite, smiling, professionally-dressed, and had great customer service. Many big brand names are offered and there are many designer branch stores like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and more.Even though the associates was dressed extremely professionally, my family did not feel out of place in our comfort-style clothing because of the associates' kind and open personalities. We walked into the Gucci part of Nordstrom and was immediately greeted and told if we needed anything to let them know and to feel around. I enjoy having the freedom to look around and feel the material before being helped so I know what I want. None of the associates were pushy or judged us for our looks. After not being able to find the handbag I was inquiring about, Esteban and his brother were quick to help us order the handbag. They also explained I could use notes, gift cards, and my Nordstrom card on the purchase and that the purse would be here by next week. If I have to purchase any designer handbag or items I am happy to purchase them at Seattle Nordstrom and pay tax rather than purchasing at Oregon Nordstrom and save due to the amazing service Seattle is able to offer. There was zero discriminatory looks and many of the associates chatted with us about activities and Air Jordan sneakers. The associates here at Nordstrom Downtown Seattle are happy to make all their clients comfortable and happy by all means. They are the definition of Nordstrom's high standard customer service. This review is for Nordstrom as a company, not just their Seattle location. I used to love Nordstrom, but lately they are a complete mess. Online orders regularly get lost and their customer service team doesn't do anything to help. They pride themselves on excellent customer service, but it doesn't go beyond them saying sorry and that they don't want that experience for their customer. If they didn't want that experience for their customers, they would resolve issues and look for ways to improve them in the future. read more

Ordered my sister a gift online from this company, it shipped and said it was delivered but it was not left in the lockbox like it stated. Called Nordstrom to get a refund, they denied my refund request because they have in their system it was delivered when it wasn't. Then got told to wait until the promise delivery date to then file another refund request. Tried to file a refund request but was told I needed to file a police report!! They just don't want to do their job correctly! Will never be shopping or ordering anything from this company again! Now I have to file a dispute with my bank to get my money back, everyone should know not to order anything from Nordstrom's because if it is stole they don't care enough about their customers to give them their money back! Credit! new deal have to renew store credit card every year!!! After having an account with Nordstrom since 1975 I'm disgusted and inconvenienced! We even have a credit on account they owe us!! Nothing is for the customer any longer, just money money money! Buyer beware and don't play with their credit accounts they also ding you late if you don't pay on their due date picked by them. It will effect your credit when you try to get a mortgage but you can push past them with proof of payment within days f their listed date. Not the same store it used to be. Disappointed. read more

Nordstrom customer service was very expeditious and excellent tonight. Had ordered truffles from London and they arrived previously melted and re-hardened and inedible. Within minutes I received notification that it was being replaced and shipped. Replacement received in 3 days. Unfortunately it still wasn't of fresh quality, but it wasn't previously melted as the first. I'm rating 4 stars and not 5 because of this. But that is beyond their control as it's an import item. read more
