Me and my family have been going to the dispatch since they opened many years ago. The store has only gotten better overtime and the service is something incredibly special. Most recently, my son was home from college for the holidays and bought my wife a Christmas gift but had an issue with his credit card being processed. The owner of the store was there and said it was fine to go ahead and leave the store with the gift and come back the next day to pay for it. In addition to the above incredible service, you can walk into the store with a half a dozen boxes or random items you need to ship, and they will pack and ship it all with a speed and efficiency that is rare to say the least. And they always have just the right gifts for people that are hard to buy for. If I could give these people six stars I would. read more

Incredibly unfriendly and standoffish service. There are always 3 or 4 people behind the counter, and none can be bothered to greet customers walking in. I've seen countless people ignored as they enter, the rare person they do approach to ask if they need help is always white. Have never seen them speak to any person of color unless they're forced to at checkout. Super rude, bad vibes - steer clear! Overpriced clothing and gifts, marked up at least $2 from other stores. Very negative experience in here recently. Apparently you can't pick up anything in this store without the salesperson asking you if they can hold it at the counter for you. This happened to me while browsing. Although there were more than half a dozen other people in the store, I was the only one singled out by the younger saleslady with long dark hair. Not sure why, but she approached me several times, insisting she hold my items at the counter. Wonder if it was because I was the only non-white person in the store????? Not sure why else I would've been targeted like that. Felt like I needed to detox after being here. Don't support elitist, non-inclusive places like this. There are other stores in town that deserve your business more. Won't be returning. Aside from the thinly veiled accusation I was a shoplifting threat, there was zero customer service (despite several employees being on duty). They were rude, presumptuous, disrespectful, and unwelcoming here. I can't say enough about QA Dispatch for shipping items! They are so helpful, kind, and efficient which makes the process so much more pleasant than shipping via the Post Office or Fedex/UPS. Plus, this is the only place I'm aware of that will ship with all 3 options (USPS, Fedex, UPS), so you can compare prices/timing directly and choose the best option! They have even recommended repacking my items into different boxes to save money. I have never had to wait long, even if it's busy, because the staff always jumps in to open another register. I will never ship from anywhere else! The shop is also really cute with lots of great gift items and cards. read more

Don't come here to drop off packages if you can help it. The employees are very nice and I do like supporting a local business but they will charge you $1 per package to drop off a prelabeled prepaid USPS package for pickup (literally I've never encountered this at any other mail dropoff spot). Then, the package often won't be actually given to the carrier until 5-7 days after dropoff. This bit me multiple times where I ended up getting charged a return fee for not returning a package soon enough even though I dropped off the package with what I thought was ample time to spare. I love this shop! They have the cutest stuff ever and the staff is normally awesome! My most recent experience here left me feeling really uncomfortable and contemplating returning the items I bought because I felt so poorly about the interaction. The woman who insisted on helping me kept making comments like "well... *sigh* this piece is really expensive" before she would show me jewelry in the case, making it seem like I couldn't afford it or something? Surprisingly snobby sales clerks turned me off from this neighborhood boutique. Queen Anne Mail & Dispatch is like Anthropologie: unapologetically feminine, lifestyle products for clothing to stationary to cosmetics, cutely laid out. What more could a girl ask for? Well, judging by the previous 3 times I've been here---how about a nice hello when a customer walks in and an attempt to not follow around and hover around said customer as if she's a suspicious shoplifter? I appreciate stores that give customers their space to browse but this went beyond that. The two shop girls only bothered to approach me after like 15min. which is special since I was THE ONLY PERSON IN THE STORE. I felt like I was being profiled or something. Creepy. Talk about making a girl not feel wanted. I wasn't even dressed like a bum -- more like a cold-gear garbed girl decked in an Oakley jacket, a Delias's bag, and some Nordstrom mitts. Guess that makes me shabby by their standards. Boo to them. I went to buy some stamps here figuring they'd have better holiday selection then nearby Safeway's...Just a headsup, Queen Anne Mail & Dispatch has a higher markup on stamps so its an extra $2 to buy cuter stamps here then at your local post office, grocery store, etc. I dislike shopping at places that make me feel my money and presence isn't wanted. Wow! I am officially in love with this store. And for so many reasons! A girlfriend and I were strolling alone Queen Anne Ave on a gorgeous day and thought to pop into a few shops as we walked. I had left my phone/purse at her house so I didn't have to carry stuff around but as soon as we crossed the threshold here I knew I was in trouble. First - Did you know you can have a PO Box here and/or ship packages and buy stamps? Talk about convenient! Second - It's a gorgeous little boutique with both local and even international brands. The shiny jewelry cases and adorable stationary first caught my eye. But then I spotted a wall of shoes, some adorable kids clothes and toys, a great selection of Butter nail polishes, perfumes, scented candles, and tons and tons of awesome clothes and accessories for women. One the end of one rack I saw a dress I knew I had to have. I tried it on and immediately asked if I could have this held for me so I could go back to my friend's to fetch my wallet. They were so gracious and so kind about it and just told me to pop back in when I had time later that day. So of course, I did! The dress fit perfectly, the fabric is stunning, it's a total item that people will say, "Cute dress! Where's it from?" and it was priced really reasonably. All in all it was a great purchase. But since I was already there, why not spy the shoes some more? I tried on a few pairs, spotted some for as at 50% off and ended up walking out with the dress and three pairs of shoes. It would have been 4 but they didn't have that pair in my size. Darn! So if you're shopping for yourself, a baby, a loved one, or you just want to peruse and ship a packaged, this is definitely a place you cannot miss. I will be stopping in here more frequently to look for hidden gems! **On a tiny sad note - I went online later to hunt for the shoes that didn't fit. Out of curiosity I looked up the shoes I had bought too. One pair was listed at 50% off online and I paid full price in the store. Happy to support local and happy I didn't have to wait for the shoes to arrive in the mail, I still felt a little bummed that I paid $100 for shoes that I could have gotten for $50. But again - this is definitely a fantastic spot for filling up that closet! read more

Trendy boutique located on Queen Anne Ave in the Upper Queen Anne area. Owners are two sisters who took over the place from their mother who ran it as a postal service place and shipping location. The sisters expanded to some nice and trendy ladies items to include clothes, handbags, shoes, tops, bottoms, etc. They added lots of card selections. Some of the "adult" cards were very, very funny. Lots of knicks and knacks. My companion found a pair of great jeans that fit just right. Worth a stop. Very friendly owner and the sales clerks were very helpful. read more

Pros: decent selection of clothing, jewelry, shoes, cards, gifts Cons: staff is generally unfriendly, high prices (compared to other boutiques carrying similar merchandise) In terms of their shipping services, I will never ever go back. It's cheaper to go down to a USPS office for packaging and shipping. How do I know? I sent a gift to a friend and four days later it appeared in my mailbox with "Return to Sender" and NO POSTAGE on it. I didn't have time to go up the hill again so I took it to the USPS and had it placed in a much better quality envelope and shipped for half the price and half the shipping time. read more

While I've never shopped here because I don't wear women's clothing... The Queen Anne Mail & Dispatch does ACCEPT STYROFOAM PEANUT donations! They'll even recycle the cardboard packaging you bring it in. So if you get a package that is filled with those pesky little peanuts, and you aren't going to reuse them and feel guilty about just throwing them away, take them over to the Dispatch and they'll be glad to take them off your hands! They just have to be "clean." You're also helping out the "little guy," since it could help cut down expenses from them having to order more packing materials. Okay, full disclosure, I worked here through college and one second you'd be helping someone try on shoes and the next you'd be wrapping a giant piece of art in hordes of bubble wrap to ship on the slowboat to Ireland. Ooooh, the dichotomy! It's a great neighborhood store and I loved shopping here even before I worked here. You can buy an awesome gift and card and ship it in one fell swoop. And it's run by the coolest family and it just feels good spending your money in a place that's been on the hill forever and helping a lot of the same customers forever and isn't some boursgie so and so. Walked in with a neighborhood coupon and walked out with a new t-shirt that i can't take off it's so comfortable, a zip up jacket (oh god i'm turning so seattle more and more everyday) and two cards. Normally I LOVE this place for it's great and creative merchandise--especially cards. But when sending stuff, be careful about telling them you're already in their system (you've used their service to send things before) because they'll assume the addressee is the same as it was the last time you sent something. In other words, they'll automatically create the label so the package is going to the same person as your last package and make a fuss when you tell them it's to go to someone else. read more

I've bought gifts and card here every so often over the years and the shop is always fun to browse through and check out the quirky goods. Staff is usually helpful and friendly but leaves you alone if you just want to look around on your own. There are several racks of clothes and shoes. Most are pretty high end. Some are items you can find in major department stores, other items seem more obscure. The prices are a little high but the prices are fair considering the quality products delivered. You can also find a special gift or toy for a baby or kid. I can pretty much guarantee if you get someone a gift from this store, they won't be getting the same gift from anyone else! So happy to have this boutique/shipping center in my neighborhood. I ship a fair amount of packages via freight collect to the UK. The staff here is so helpful in dealing with these shipments and I don't believe they get paid anything for it since I am using my customer's account. I know without a doubt, I would not get the same type of service down the hill at the UPS store or FedEx. The boutique part of this shop is pretty lovely. They have a great selection of boots, clothing and gifts. The most impressive part is that I seem to see something completely new every time I shop there. This is absolutely my favorite place in Seattle! The mailbox service is amazing! I know that things can happen with the mail, but I have never had a problem. The boutique is incredible as well, from amazing clothes, shoes, and jewelry to fantastic small and cute gift ideas it is a one stop shop!
