The store is so aesthetic and thoughtfully curated, it's like the kind of bookshop that makes you want to read every book on the shelves. The LGBTQ+ selection was excellent and very visible, not tucked in a corner, which immediately made the space feel welcoming and intentional. The vibe overall is just really pleasant and warm, you can tell it's a place that actually loves books and the people who love books. After a number of emails back and forth, they were not able to send me the original mailing receipt which is required to file a claim with USPS, so it seems unlikely I'll get anything from the claim anyways. They even gave me a "tip" that I should look into getting a secure mailbox, as if that would prevent an empty box from being delivered in the first place. In the end, I spent $140 for a box with nothing more than tissue paper and promotional material. Oh, did I mention they generously offered to send me the products again if I pay 60% more than I already paid? Thanks, but definitely not going to throw more money in your direction only to lose it again. Update: Just to clarify, this is not a case of mailbox theft...I was physically delivered an empty box by the carrier. There is always risk involved with shipping, and as the shipper, it's your responsibility to ship in a way that reasonably reduces risk and puts shipping liability on the carrier. Since you put more than $100 of your product in a box that's only covered for up to $100, you put the risk on the customer. I can't possibly be refunded now. You also could have reduced risk within reason by not advertising on the outside of the box that there is jewelry inside.

Their card selection is unique, so be sure to stop in if you're on the hunt for the perfect card. I was greeted when I came in and I was allowed to lounge in peace. She went above and beyond, gave extra love and attention to my dog, and made me feel genuinely taken care of throughout the entire shopping experience. While one item was easily located, Abigal struggled to find the second item under the phone number used for the purchase. When I expressed reasonable frustration that a recent purchase couldn't be found, she became highly defensive, accused me of swearing at her (which I did not), and told me to 'calm down' despite my maintaining a normal volume. Once the item was finally found, she proceeded to lecture me about not using my mom's phone number for transactions. When I asked her to please just process the refund and skip the lecture, she repeatedly called me rude to my face and then continued to loudly call me rude to her coworkers as I walked out the door. No other employee intervened. Highly disappointing customer service.

However, I would think return customers would be your bread and butter. I will not be returning as a result of this return policy. (Pun fully intended.)
