My first memory of shopping at Nordstrom's was when I was in elementary school. I asked my mom for some funky fun printed socks. I remember having the feeling of joy receiving them. I think that positive vibe stuck with me all the way through adulthood hence my loyalty to this family run local company. I was at the fam's house over the holiday and took a photo of my mom's original Nordstrom credit card. Super old school! lol Going to Nordy's is an experience. They've been there for me for many years from back to school shopping, to lunch break nourishment, and first date makeovers. I've been there for celebration shopping sprees and breakup shopping sprees. Nordstrom's has seen me through it all. Almost sounds like a best friend. The store hits all 5 senses. The moment I walk in I notice the familiar interior design, lighting and displays of merchandise. I'll hear the sounds of customers and employees interacting while ordering their caffeinated beverage at Ebar. I'll smell faint scents of perfumes and colognes being tested as I walk through the aisle. I'll grab lunch with friends at Cafe Nordstrom and taste my first bite of their Turkey and Swiss Panini. I'll feel the textures of cotton and polyester while sifting through racks of clothing or trying on boots made of leather or suede. You can tell who's a Nordy's shopper just by eying the silver bag(s) they're carrying. The color of the bag is iconic. Same goes for the yellow anniversary sale bag. Very good marketing. Pre-covid I would take a bus from Pioneer Square to Westlake either during my lunch break or after work. I had a lot of access point options to choose from: The skybridge via Pacific Place, 5th Ave, 6th Ave, Pine or the bus tunnel. Even though I haven't been to their downtown location in a while I continue to shop on their website and in-person at Southcenter. I'm glad I still have a good relationship with Nordy's after all these years. As long as employees continue to have good customer service and leadership has sustainable and inspiring visions and goals, I'll continue to support them. Here's to 2022 and have a Happy New Year! It's sad to see the decline in Nordstrom's flagship store. I remember visiting it decades ago and being able to expect among their salespeople expertise, elegance, professionalism, and dedication toward their customers. Now it's very hit and miss, with the best quickly moving on, and several of the ones staying lacking. Six weeks before a photo shoot, I ordered custom shirts. I was told they'd take three to four weeks to arrive and no longer. Five weeks later, worried the shirts wouldn't make it in time, I tried to access customer service online. That ended up being a complete waste of time; they can't answer questions themselves, but connect you with the salesperson who in my case was the problem in the first place. I spoke with two more people. They couldn't help me. I had to wait for the salesperson to tell me that he was just about to get in touch with me (weeks late). He said he could send them via express mail. I spent the evening before the shoot washing and ironing shirts, and that's when I realized that some of the order was missing. I showed up without everything I needed. When I called Nordstrom the following day, they told me they left it out of the order because the custom shirt arrived damaged. They generously had given me a refund, I was told, which would come in three to five business days. I'm awaiting a comment from Nordstrom about how terribly sorry they are and how they're going to investigate this problem. Writing that generic response is all that will ever come from it. read more

The downtown Seattle Nordstrom location was quite nice. Multi-level, well lit and situated nicely. We were just wandering for the afternoon, not really shopping but enjoyed stopping in nonetheless. There was a bar located inside, which was an interesting surprise. Had it been a little later in the day, maybe we would have sat for a drink. We were approached several times to see if we needed assistance, and everyone was very nice and eager to help. The thing I found comical was going downstairs to the men's department and seeing a beef jerky vending machine! read more

It's been several years since I have been to the downtown Seattle location. There is a strong law enforcement presence at all doors to this location. It's obvious these are not private security but off duty police officers. The men's section is located on the lower level. Zegna is the main brand I look at for ties. The staff are very friendly and not pushy. Even though one check out register was crowded, an employee came up to me and asked if I needed assistance. I pointed to the line and he took me to another register to complete my transaction. Thank you for doing this on a rainy and cold day in Seattle. read more

It's been awhile since I've went to downtown Seattle. Bae took me around Seattle and so many things have change. New stores and old stores closed down and perhaps relocated. This is their flagship headquarters. This store originally found in Seattle at Fourth and Pike at 1901. What a history. If come to Seattle, you need to enjoy their downtown store. The store has wide space to walk on. It also has the connected bridge to the building cross Six Ave to Pacific Place Mall. Down stair is the Westlake light rail station make this store is located at super location of Seattle. The store has good men department. The select is great for men including the men fragrance. They have men design shoe with glitter. The men suit is fashion and great look. They carry very good design of wedding gowns. Good design from front and back. The furniture section has some weird looking chair. I like the modern look of furniture. The baby section is on the top floor. It does carry some stroller for young mom to how off the baby. Back when Neiman Marcus was still open, I consistently received poor service. On this adventure, I was shopping for Women Fragrances for my Wife. I'll spare you the details about Neiman Marcus. As for Nordstrom Flagship, I specifically was looking at Creed Fragrances, and decided to shop here after the terrible service at Neiman Marcus. As I approached the Creed section, nobody was there. A woman associate soon asked if she could help me. I informed her I was interested in a few Le Royal Exclusives. She informed me that she didn't work in the department, but would still try to help if she could. I asked to sample White Flowers to confirm that this was the one I was looking to purchase and also to see if the batch number was what I was looking for. I also was looking for a travel size atomizer. She couldn't find any in the drawers so she called the warehouse to see if they had some in the back. They didn't but they said they could order one online and have it shipped. I decided to buy a Flacon of the White Flowers for my Wife and restocked Aventus for myself. The sales associate offered her personal atomizer that she hadn't used yet for free. For someone who didn't even work in the Creed area, she went above and beyond in customer service. This review pertains to the alterations and pickup department. I've had multiple experiences here where things did not go as they should have given Nordstrom's brand expectations. Now in three separate instances over the course of a year or more I've had bad experiences. Alterations were done in a way that made the item fit worse than the original, communications never happened to let me know that orders were received (and the staff actually chastised me for taking so long to pick up my item weeks later), and most recently I went to pick up alteration items that were guaranteed to be done a week ago only to find out they were never sent away for the work and I have to wait again. These are all not really important issues in the bigger scheme of things of life, but when a store like Nordstrom makes a commitment at the point of sale and then doesn't deliver on it, or staff is rude and wholly disrespectful of the customer's time, then it is something to be aware of. There are other and less expensive places to have alterations done where you won't be fooled by the Nordstrom mystique On the other hand, if you need a great shoe shine with stellar service, take you shoes to them. I'm super pregnant and my feet have swollen to a new size :'( In the women's shoe department, Patrick greeted us immediately and was very friendly. Nordstrom is my favorite place to shop and the service is always fantastic, BUT if you have garments you want tailored, please know that you are likely to receive botched work. I had a dress shirt tailored here that turned out perfect, and left them with two more with the ask to have the exact same sleeve shortening done. The people measuring you are not the people tailoring your garments, and they will take them far too short and ruin them. I got lucky with my first shirt, but now I am stuck with two $200 dress shirts that are ruined. read more

We we're literally harassed by a homeless man inside Nordstrom Rack. My husband and I kindly said we didn't carry cash but then he became aggressive walking with close proximity of my husband. We walked towards an employee and asked for help. The employee called for Security on a radio. The man began to use profanity. It was very unpleasant and downright belligerent. I'm had no idea Nordstrom allowed behavior such as harassment and panhandling on their property. We're on vacation so I'm sure we'll never visit that location again. Went to the men's shoe dept just now to buy a couple pairs of sneakers . literally one of two dudes in the dept ( one was already being helped ) I watched two employees(guy and a girl) watch me walk around for a good 10 mins while they stood and clicked a pen and talked to each other . Good morning, I wanted to reach out to express my disappointment and frustration with Nordstrom and the booking system for the Breakfast with Santa. I've attempted to purchase four tickets numerous times over the past two weeks using different mobile devices, browsers and computers all to no avail. I called the number on the site without success. I've walked into Downtown Seattle Nordstrom requesting assistance and was directed to an email address. The person I corresponded with via email just sent me notifications that there were openings and dismissed my issue that the site would not allow me to make the purchase. Even today when I go online and select the open date and time I receive a notification the selection is no longer available even though if I refresh the availability page the selections shows as available. I am disappointed with this entire experience and am surprised to run into this with Nordstrom. This is a beautiful high-end Nordstrom and I've noticed in the past that the employees know their products . I took 10 steps into the store and was approached by one of the sales staff, Stan, asking if he might be of assistance. Turns out I was on the way to cosmetics and Stan was the YSL cosmetic rep. so he walked me over. I've been looking for some time for good foundations and am usually disappointed so I wanted samples and he made them there on the spot, and for other brands I asked for. He was so informed as to product and ingredients and was able to hone in with good suggestions. I'm going back today to buy them (walking right past other cosmetic stores in downtown Seattle ) to Nordstrom. Keep up the good work Nordstrom. read more

Went there to decide what cologne i want to buy next with saved up birthday money, all the MALE workers dressed like woman and talked bougie and very rude, i had 2 free samples in my hand and was told in a rude way there's a 3d smoke limit to customers, that's a lie, i asked the manager and other workers, on top of that, the same worker followed us around being extremely rude and telling us "you know samples don't last long at all in plastic sample vials right" in a condescending way like i'm some sort of idiot, which is another lie, they last 6-12 months. otherwise the downstairs cologne stand guy is chill, always wearing a fire hat and is a real mf, every female worker is very kind, and the louis vuitton workers are ALWAYS very kind and helpful love them, ofc the only rude workers are the males dressed like a woman and take feminine and bousie with attitude. honestly not gonna come back to that nordstrom enless it's to buy a louis vuitton fragrance read more

Deanene and her tailor are great. I had a last minute interview come up for tomorrow morning, and my current suit I use for interviews I have outgrown. I had 45 minutes before the store closed when I left work, and I called the menswear dept letting them know what I needed, and to see if they had time to help me pick something out. Deanene had something immediately ready when I got there, called the tailor to see if they could perform a rush hem on the pants, and I had a brand new suit set with two minutes to spare before the store closed. Was in need of quality, stylish clothes for my son's upcoming wedding, specifically, 'elevated casual' for the rehearsal dinner, and 'cocktail' for the wedding. Well, I haven't gotten 'dressed up,' or for that matter, worn a tie in over 25 years. All I can say is that he's got a brilliant sense of style and able to quickly identify outfits that complement me. He far exceeded my expectations. I have been a Nordstrom shopper since it was called Nordstrom Best. For those of you who don't know Nordstrom history, that is a long time. What a difference time makes. I remember a time (many of them, actually) where you could expect a certain level of service from Nordstom, but that certainly isn't the case today. A couple of weeks ago I decided to order a few things online. It should have been a snap considering I knew what I wanted and that I would be ordering the Nordstrom brand. The order consisted of Nordstrom labeled shirts, one belt and a package of Nordstrom t-shirts, all to be picked up by me at the Downtown Seattle store. A few days later I was informed that they were canceling the order for the t-shirts because they weren't available at the Seattle store, so I wondered why they couldn't just bring them in from another of their local stores. They also informed me that they wouldn't be refunding my money but would give me a store credit. How thoughtful of them... Then I was informed via email that the rest of the order would come in separately and that if I didn't pick each order up within two days, that it would be restocked, and another store credit would be issued. When I looked at the estimated arrival time for each item, it was clear that if I wanted the items that I would have to make three separate trips to the store to pick them up. When I chatted online with a Nordstrom rep about the issue, she told me that it wasn't her job to coordinate the order or fix the problem. She was just there to chat and apparently offer an obviously scripted and hollow apologize, repeatedly. When I was notified of the arrival of the belt, I called the number which was carefully hidden in the email, twice. Both times I got to listen to an automated attendant before being put on hold just to have the call disconnected, both times. I then called the store directly. After waiting on hold for a few minutes, the operator was pleasant and connected me with the pick-up desk who then informed me that the computer was down, and they couldn't help me. I believe that it was and that he wanted to help me, because I could hear the frustration in his voice. But then I was summarily dismissed and told I would have to call back when the system was up. Conversely, on the same day I placed the order with Nordstrom, I ordered two pairs of trousers from a men's clothing manufacturer online. They both needed to be hemmed. I received both within one week, they fit well, and the hem turned out fine. This 2-Star review is a gift. The second star is only for the sake of nostalgia on my part. Honestly, this bums me out because I grew up shopping at Nordstrom. When I was a young adult and didn't think that I could afford to shop there, a salesman in men's suits at the Southcenter Store talked me into buying a pair of JB Britches. They looked good and wore well. He taught me the virtues of buying a few excellent quality items that would look good for a long time and could be the basis for a professional wardrobe. I shopped with him for over 20 years until he retired. It is so unfortunate that what was once known as the "Nordstrom way" has gone by the sidelines. read more

Will think twice before ordering from Nordstrom online again. Ordered a traveling sunblock set on 6/10 for an upcoming trip only to realize i clicked the wrong mailing address ( previous address). I called within minutes to rectify the issue and the customer rep said he has made the changes and it was no problem. On the 17th when it was marked to be arriving I saw that the package was marked as intercepted. I called the service rep only to discover Nordstrom didn't make the changes to the address to the carrier until the 14th or 15Th. Why no one knows. Once I was transfer to the supervisor the lady was very unhelpful and said they have a new system ( shipping?) and that maybe a hiccup occurred but again she didn't seem very concerned. Now it's the 21st and still no package nor update about its arrival. I called Nordstrom again and the service rep said they don't know when it will arrive. I asked them to cancel and she said she can't as it was shipped but might be returned to them as sender then reshipped back to me. What kinda circus is this? Any Nordstrom lover would be so pleased to visit this store. Store 1. The First Nordstrom. How cool?! The store is in a great location, right by the monorail, and its clean and bright. A happy place to be/shop. It is also the largest Nordstrom I have ever been to, and has pretty stellar service. My friends and I spent several hours here shopping our hearts out, starting in the shoe department. The lovely gal helping us out was so kind and accommodating. She didn't hesitate to bring me any styles/sizes, and was honest when I asked what she thought. I didn't feel like she was just trying to make a sale and she really wanted to make me happy. I didn't have to leave the couch between trying on and purchasing. I left the department feeling very special and happy to have purchased a beautiful pair of Louboutin's. Same story in the handbag department. We had them unlock so many different bags for us, with no real promise of purchasing, but the gal still happily helped us out. My companion ended up falling in love with a Louboutin bag and her purchase story was the same. The gal was pleasant and super helpful. The clothing department didn't have the same hands-on service, as we did not have a personal styling appointment, but the fitting room attendant was patient with the 6468543213 items going in/out of the room and unlocking the door 312354 times when we locked ourselves out. We had such a great shopping experience here, and while Nordstrom in any state is always a go-to for me, this particular store wins the prize for best ever selection and service. Amazing service in the cosmetics department by Franky and others. Came in with my friend to get some mascara from the Lancome counter and also made purchases from Yves Saint Laurent. Franky showed me a few tips and also offered to give some free classes. He told me about a make-up class they were offering for free when I mentioned I suck at eyeshadows which was really sweet, no judgement given at all. Also, great customer service in the perfume department, but I don't recall his name. He showed me a few other perfumes that were new to me and had patience as my friend and I went through a few testers. The only thing I don't like about this Nordie's is the location as getting to downtown can bite. This flagship store is laid out very nicely and love the organization. I was talked into getting a Nordstrom credit card by my cashier and I just received it in the mail. I called customer service to have my payment due date aligned with those of my other cards. I prefer to pay bills once per month and similar due dates insures I'm never late on any payment. I was informed by the customer service representative that this was not an option. Choosing the due date is not at the election of the cardholder. I have about 20 credit cards and this is the only one that doesn't offer this service. Needless to say, I won't be using this card. read more

Went to Nordstrom to look for a suit for my wedding. I was approached right away by Kathleen, who seem 1000% better than the salesperson I bothered at a nearby store. She helped me find the perfect suit in minutes! The rest of the process didn't take much longer, from the measurements to the checkout process. Nordstrom has a huge problem with how to take care of their inventory. I purchased a pair of Chanel last night. It was supposed to be a gift for my mom. The box was torn, shoes showed sign of worn (I acknowledged the SA about my concern and he encouraged me to buy anw). I still paid because it was the last one in the whole company. I went home and keep looking at the shoes and was not happy with that. So I decided to return it and exchange for another one (same style, different size). What upset me so much is the cashier who proceeded the return was so rude. She acted like I had worn the shoes and now I tried to return them. Literally I bought them LAST NIGHT. I saw her concern so I showed her my receipt to prove that. I successfully exchanged to the new one and guess what, the box of this pair is torn as f*uck. I attached some photos here so you can see what I meant. Really, Nordstroms??? You sold old stuff to customers and then tried to not taking them back because of your own fault??? read more

I called a couple Nordstrom's with a Celine boutique to buy a triomphe belt and im so happy that Qua picked up my call that day because his customer service skills are phenomenal. They located the belt and i got it shipped to California within 3 days. I unfortunately ordered the wrong size the first time and so Felicia helped me out to find the right size and even overnighted it to make sure I got the belt on time for my trip.
