This is a solid Athleta store, as this one is located in the U-Village shopping center, near Bloomie's. I had a good experience here and was able to easily get in and out while shopping in the area. I'm a fan of Athleta joggers, and needed to order a few. While I was at U-Village, I decided to stop by Athleta to shop for joggers. The employee who helped me was able to easily order the items I wanted, while offering recommendations for similar styles. Since I was somewhat in a rush with an upcoming appointment, the employee swiftly placed an order for me, waiving shipping fees and letting me know when to expect my package and so forth. Easy peasy. The selection here is good, with a decent amount of stock in different sizes and colors. Store was well organized, and I could easily find the different styles of joggers and workout apparel throughout the space. No complaints. read more

My husband recently purchased a few items for me from Athleta University Village. My complaint isn't so much about the staff (although they were underwhelmingly friendly), but more about the return/exchange policy. I wasn't able to return or exchange the items because it had been over 30 days (40 days) since the original purchase date. These items were unused, tagged and I had the original receipt. I understand if I missed the cash return period (the holidays are busy, I meant to make the exchange sooner), but I was very unhappy that I couldn't at least make an exchange. I also made other holiday returns / exchanges that day at Vuori, Anthropologie and Nordstrom that day, and all of them accepted my returns for cash or exchanges. Final note: the quality of Athleta clothing has gone down over the years, but the price remains the same. I was trying on a jacket and I couldn't even zip up the jacket it was so cheap. I will not be making future purchases from Athleta. read more

I have been to this store twice in the past year. The first time I received excellent customer service - attentive but not hovering, really listened to what I was looking for, and helped me find great travel pants. I went back yesterday and it turns out my first experience was not a fluke. Again, folks were super helpful, not at all pushy, up for a friendly brainstorm to help my daughter find what she was looking for. Great selection and nice team of employees work here! This is my go to spot for workout clothes (and athleisure wear for looking like I just worked out hehe!) My favorite skorts and leggings are from here that I wear all year long. I have worked out in their clothes but also find them to be so cute that I wear them as stylish pieces as well! I still haven't found sports bras that fit well here but I love love love their pants and various bottoms here. I didn't really look into Athleta before. I fell guilty to picking a brand like Nike or Under Armour and not checking out anything else. First off, I came here for a Saturday workout. They have local gyms or fitness studios host workout sessions for free before the store opens. I thought that was pretty cool. Additionally, I actually dig the clothing here. Ya, it's a little pricier. But it's trendy, versatile, and can pass as casual if you mix it with other things. Store has a lot to offer. The transitions season may make it feel fuller and overwhelming. I love that you can choose a color and build he rest of the sports bras, tanks, shirts, sweaters, and leggings around it. I love their clothes. I had another not good experience w/ an employee--- the wonderful free offerings of classes they have on Saturday and Sunday mornings. I went, entered and was greeted with" Put your things in the back room and you can put your mat down". "Hello"? 'Welcome to our Saturday class"? "Thanks for coming"? "have you signed a waiver"? I froze and said "what"? She repeated her instructions. I told her that was not what I had anticipated. I said I anticipated being told about waivers. She told me they are printing them now. I didn't bother mentioning that a polite greeting would be nice. I do not get it. Why have employees with little "be nice" experience? Their clothes are lovely and the class was great. I truly hope my experience does not represent all experiences there. read more

My new favorite place for causal and workout clothes. Not only do they have a GREAT return policy, the staff is friendly, helpful and the price is reasonable. I used to shop at Lulu all the time and that place is the OPPISITE of Athleta so I've officially made the switch. I enjoy their mail catalog and if you can't find something in the store, they can order it for you online (kiosk avail to do so). Quality of the material is good and lasts awhile-so far no pilling or tears. I've dressed up some of my outfits from here with high heals and during casual days, flip flops. read more

If you ask my teenage daughter which athletic apparel store she prefers, she'll tell you Lululemon, but the truth of the matter is, she finds more to try on here at Athleta. So does Mom. The price points at both stores are the same, so you're not saving anything by shopping at Athleta - a workout jacket will run you $118 at both stores. What you gain is this: - a broader range of sizes. This doesn't matter if you're a size 4, but it does if you're a 14 - a broader range of styles. Athleta has a nice variety of styles. There's a great sale rail in the back of the shop, where the dressing rooms are, and it's worth looking through. The sales people were super friendly the day we visited. read more

I checked back into Athleta, but only out of sadness of not finding the running skorts that suited my purpose at Lucy. I have to say that though the customer service was a little better during this visit, and I found a few pairs of skorts to try on, with the perfect ones a blissful win. I couldn't stop there, as I convinced myself I needed a new running shirt, and maybe a casual shirt as well. I really like what they have in for Fall, and will definitely come in to browse again. I just hope that the customer service gets a little friendlier (and not fake-friendly like Lululemon!) read more

I was very glad to be welcomed at the Athlete U Village store by someone around my age! (40-50). She was great and helpful. I was hoping I would get the same thrill by being in the store as I do when the catalog arrives. Not so much. The fabrics seem flimsy for the price. After a full 360 of the store I crossed paths with the greeter salesperson again. Mentioned that it was too pricey for me - if the quality of goods was better I would make purchases. She was very kind and gave me a coupon for purchases during the month of January 2016. It was nice to have a salesperson that can relate. She needs a raise. read more

I just quickly want to say that I'm impressed with the service at this store. In a time when face to face contact is rare and human service is less revered than it used to be I for one appreciate kind, patient, intelligent individuals who are able to communicate clearly, follow through on promises and look you in the eye. Came in for the first time the other day and was helped by the nicest people! Found a super comfy white bra and a high quality tank top on sale. Great selection, clean store, friendly service! Furthermore, I had to exchange an item that was a gift (so no receipt) and it was no problem at all for them to give me a gift card that I could use to buy something that I liked! I love their leggings too (which are slightly cheaper that lulu lemon)! And they have a 10% discount to students. I have never been treated so well or met more attentive sales associates in my entire life, and I'm a regular at their competition ;) the prices are lower, the fabrics are great, the pants have fun patterns and the fit is excellent- the store is easy to navigate and it is very well organized. The fitting rooms are amazing and the curtain has a side hook to make sure it stays closed. They had an area for kids to play and color- even though my husband was with, they still tried to entertain my son and give him crayons. A+++ I will definitely be back!!! read more

Simply amazing. They just opened so everything is new, fresh, and clean. And there's no residual paint and construction toxicity in the air. Layout reminds me a little of Anthropologie in that there's apparel on hangers, tables, and mannequins as well as cute accompanying accessories dispersed everywhere for your eyes to fancy and your mind to draw inspiration. We're talking yoga tanks to outerwear, sweater dresses to beanies, headbands to gym bags, and even some jewelry! It's one of those stores where you can spend half the afternoon looking and touching everything they have to offer. Plus I love their style and color schemes. How do they make activewear so comfortable yet fashionable? I seriously wanted to buy one of everything! And it would work because they make things small enough for petite ladies like myself (smallest size= XXS Petite). Don't worry, there's tall sizing for those of you with the opposite problem as me. And if they don't have your item in stores, just head to a computer kiosk to purchase on their website. Oh tech-savvy-ness. Merchandise aside, the people there are great. Super approachable and friendly. I was greeted upon entering, checked on in a few, and got to chatting with a Athleta rep re store events and offerings..as if talking to a girl friend of mine. The girls here are super helpful! I was looking for a specific pair of shorts that according to their store inventory online they had in stock. But it wasn't there so one of the employees kindly offered to order them for me. I went into the fitting room to figure out my size and a nice employee named Angela checked on me. She was really helpful and her coworker actually found a pair of really cute shorts in my size that were on sale! I told the first employee I no longer needed her to order the shorts because I happily purchased the other pair of shorts. Every time I walk into this store I'm always greeted. I much prefer shopping Athleta online. The customer service is much better than it is in the U-Village store. Sales associates are helpful as can be when you're trying clothes on and considering a purchase, but if you return anything, they seem personally offended like the money's coming out of their own paycheck (this has happened with more than one sales associate). Take a cue from Anthropologie, where the customer service is consistently positive, whether you are buying or returning items. It'll make people want to shop at your store more, not less. read more
