I will never shop here again! I feel lucky to have gotten my money back (granted they made a current and popular item final sale) in what was an extremely simple transaction. I bought 3 items in 3 different transactions, trying to get the right size as the various sizes came in and went out of stock. Then I schlep them all to the physical store, thinking it will be easy to return the 2 that didn't fit. Well, if you pay by Paypal, the only thing Aritzia will do is give you store credit. Extremely antiquated and a totally wasted trip. So, I had to call their "concierge" who at every turn told me about all the exceptions she was making to their policies, the refund back to Paypal was "one time," the price adjustment to the item I kept made this very popular item "final sale." And they couldn't really confidently advise placing the 2 items I'm returning by mail in the same box. In fact, she basically advised that the 7-10 days for them to process a return for items in the same box could actually end up being as much as 20 days. WTH? We came to this store during the holidays. A lot of items were on sale from 20%-60% in this big store with huge selections. It was full of people which showed how popular this brand was though this brand was not cheap but their clothing indeed was designed well with good materials. Still could get a fitting room easily, and the staff was also helpful in answering our questions. Long line to check out but it moved quickly. Too bad anything on sale is not returnable per their policy. But I am sure I will enjoy my cute hoodie that was 20% off! read more

Came into the store and I noticed the employee's were checking-in with all the customers (except me). I had to ask to try two items on, while others were offered to try their items on. Once I came out the fitting room, the employee instantly reached her arms out to take the items from me, and said "you won't be taking those, right"? I was planning on purchasing the items but immediately left the items. Decided to go purchase the items in Bellevue instead! Much better service there! read more

I've tried to give this particular location many opportunities, but I always leave feeling frustrated and disappointed. The majority of the staff, managers included, are so incredibly rude! It's such a turn off to shop here. Also, you have 14 days for an online return and if you come in to exchange, it becomes a "final sale" item. 0/5 stars for two absolutely horrible encounters. This company does NOT care about its customers and assumes no burden or responsibility. Example 1) Made an in-store purchase. Wanted to return one of the items. Presented to the store to make the return on Black Friday and was told "we can't do returns today". Made a 2nd trip to the store to make the return and it was 15 days after purchase - 1 days after their 14-day return policy. Mind you they were closed on Thanksgiving and refused a return on Black Friday - so 2 of those 14 days were not even a possibility, but they would not reimburse me and said they might not be able to even give me store credit - until I complained as the item still had it's original tags on it. Store credit was provided, but not with a smile or sorry for the inconvenience. Example 2) Made an online purchase. FedEx "delivered" the package to my home, but the photo on the FedEx site shows the box sitting in the back of their truck and there is no evidence of a package being delivered that day via my NestCam. I reached out the Aritizia Concierge, sent them the FedEx photo and actual photo of my doorstep to prove FedEx's "delivery photo" was erroneous and they said they'd review the case. After 30+ days I called Aritizia's customer service to follow-up on the status and I was told the case was still under review and if I called or emailed them to check the status of the review then I would "go to the end of the queue"! After 72 days from my initial order, I finally received and email that they "found that the package was successfully delivered to the address on file" and "at this time we will not be refunding you for your most recent claim". It is truly disheartening that the burden of proof and responsibility has been placed on the customer, without consideration of a refund, resending the missing merchandise or providing in store credit. This response is both unexpected, unacceptable and unlike any customer service experience I have ever encountered. It is with little regret--but definite certainty and finality--that I will never make a purchase from Aritizia. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I left the store today with such a sour taste in my mouth...I will not be spending money with this merchant again. Here are the reasons why: I bought multiple items for my daughter and wife for Christmas: - 3 days later the items went on sale after I had already wrapped them. They refuse to do a price adjustment. - bought two sizes (to make sure I had one that fit) of several items on sale only to learn later that on sale items can only be returned for store credit. Are you kidding me?? Now I have a $600 Aritzia gift card - and during the process of returning the items which were bought using apple pay, the credit card on the receipt does not match my cc (apple pay uses a one time code). The merchant would not allow the refund as a result and made me feel like a criminal in front of other customers. She basically accused me of trying to do something fraudulent even though I had a receipt. Apparently with this merchant the customer is alway wrong. Buyer beware... read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would!!! Every time I have come to the store over the years, I have never had a good experience. The staff are always very pretentious, never helpful, and if I approach a store associate for a question they aren't nice and don't help out. And if you come here with a return don't even bother. They will make it extremely difficult for you even if you have receipt, tags, and even the actual shipment box. They try to find excuses for why you can't get a refund! I would never shop here. But good news, the Bellevue Aritzia is a totally different experience and their employees are much much nicer and friendlier and helped me find outfits that I was looking for! Lucinda (the store manager) has some of the worst costumer service ever. She rushes through customers and kicked me out of the check stand I was on with the amazing girl who was helping me add another item to my purchase. She went on to say there wasn't an item started on the register when I clearly was ready to check out but I ended up having to stand in a line of 6 people when I clearly was there first. She went on to argue with me without even knowing the situation or even apologizing. Only reason I would come back is to be helped by anyone but her. The girl cashier needs to go back to school and get trained how to handle returns in a professional and respectful manner. I went to this store yesterday and tried to returned an item within the 30 days period. First, the cashier criticized the tags are not attached in the right place. When I mentioned the return policy is as long as all the original tags are attached, it should be fine and THEN the cashier started to bullshitting me the item I bought is on "final sale". Well, fuck them. The receipt clearly has the price that I purchased with full price. So, I called the customer service and guess what, a full refund will be issued! From the tone and the manner that girl cashier make me feel she is entitled and privileged because she is white and the customer is a person of color. read more

Staff did not greet me or my partner or offer any assistance in finding items , despite the store not being busy at all. One girl in particular stared at me up and down in a judgmental manner while the other 3 huddled around the cash register chatting ignoring other customers . Makes for a very uncomfortable , hostile environment. Working in corporate for years it's well known to start with the customer experience . If aritzia continues down this pathway of hiring unqualified sales reps this does not bespoke well for their long term store success. Will not be back. The workers were so rude!! they made me and a friend wait for the fitting room and sat us down and told us we would get one in a minute. we then waited 10 minutes and they put our clothes on hold normally we're patient but we had a reservation to go to. they let everyone lining up in fitting rooms until we had to remind them for the fifth time. When i asked for my items, they sold my sweater to someone else!!! that was the last size left! i'm so very upset and so unsatisfied. To the tacky middle age salesperson with the brunette pixie hair and tattooed eyebrows the store may need to give you a refresher on how to speak to people. You informed me your store is "higher end, not fast fashion" and you told me the brands you carry are of higher quality like Citizens of Humanity (I saw the Claire V. And already knew the quality of your store). Your pretentious lesson on fashion was a huge turnoff. I came in with athleta gear on, my tween daughter was there also and she shops with me at boutiques in Paris. We didn't need for you to spell out this boutique that's one degree away from fast fashion itself is "higher quality and not fast fashion". If you have ever been to the Vancouver BC one, you can clearly tell the difference, in the variety they have and sometimes pricing. I love Aritzia, everything looks absolutely beautiful, yet a little overpriced for what they offer. The customer service is ok. I had several items I wanted to buy, but I was turned off by their passive aggressive behavior and decided against buying anything. Came in to price some things for Mother's Day and I was greeted and even had a brief conversation with two of the people that worked there and it was pleasant . That was until I was talking to an associate and the conversation became passive and she decided to talk to someone else about her relationship loudly and used the "you can go on your break " as a means to end the conversation I was having with her prior to that moment . This is the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. After being told three times that my return would be applied to my new debit card the refund was sent to my old card. Then I was told it was too late and to contact my bank. I first inquired about returning my coat online and was told by Candice on 11/14 that I could bring it in any store, it would be no problem. When I went into the U Village store on 11/23 I was told I could not exchange my coat even with receipt and the store manager was very rude to me. I then called on and spoke to Isha 11/28 who recommended I purchase an ADDITIONAL coat and after the return was received I would get a refund for the SECOND purchase. We discussed that my old card no longer existed as I am recently married and have a new last name. She insisted that this wouldn't be a problem and charged my new card. I received an email saying my return would be processed on my prior debit card. On 11/29 I called and spoke with another girl who said there were notes on file and that the refund would not be processed on my old card. 12/11 I received another email saying my refund would be processed on my old card. After I emailed customer service about the mistake I was asked by Hannah to "shed some light on this" regarding my new card. Why was I told there were notes on file that Hannah and Zahra cannot find? 12/12 I was told by Zahra after she spoke with her manager that my refund would be processed on my new card today. Then was emailed a few hours later from Zahra saying the opposite of what I was told on the phone. My point is this was my first time shopping here, I wanted to exchange my jacket for one size difference. I really should not be out over $700 with an additional trip to U Village for a one time purchase. Having to fight to get my SECOND payment back says a lot about the company and the management here. I used to love this store but the customer service is HORRIBLE. I walked around for 15 minutes with both hands full of hangers and no one would help me get a dressing room. I thought it was just an off day so I went back a week later with a friend who wanted to look around. I don't know how I got settled in my old wardrobe for so long but I am very glad that seeing Aritzia's styles kicked me back into shopping mode. I hadn't been shopping for new clothes in at least at year or more when I happened past the Aritzia store. The clothing seemed very French inspired and modern and it caught my attention immediately. Suddenly I became a woman on a mission. Upon entering the store I was immediately greeted by one or two sales associates. After bouncing from one outfit to another repeating "oh that's so cute!" and amassing an armful of clothing to try, one of the associates offered to take them to a fitting room. With arms now free, I went off to find more clothing and very soon another sales associate relieved me of my burden to bring them to the same fitting room. When I was finally done plucking about 15 items off the shelves, I went back to the fitting room to find that the sales folks had paired my choices with other items to make outfits. What service and good style choices! As I was trying on my treasures, I came to realize that I had misjudged the sizes I needed. After more than a year without trying on clothes and instead indulging in pizza and all of the French cheeses I could find, my size had. . . well, changed. The sales team was with me the whole time. They quickly exchanged sizes as needed, offered opinions on outfits, and provided suggestions along the way. They rocked. I ended up purchasing some outfits that I totally love and feel great in. A high end version of Hollister, that severely lacks in the customer service department. I had purchased 3 items online, to which I decided to return 2 of them. You get 14 days from the ship date to return the item, which is ridiculous because you basically end up with 7 days to return the item. I placed an order on October 25th and it arrived on October 31st, which left me 8 days to return the items if I was unsatisfied with them. After 14 days, you have 16 days to return/exchange the item for store credit. If you purchased an item in store, the return policy isn't any better. 10 days to return the item for a refund back onto your original payment, 21 days from the purchase date to get a refund/exchange on store credit. Also, all sale/discounted items purchased in stores are final sale. Online shopping has become such a big market, and mostly every company offers at least 30-90 day returns, free shipping, free return shipping, etc. With Aritzia, you have to spend $100 just to get free shipping, and returns via mail are $8. I missed the return window for a refund back onto my original form of payment by 1 day. I live chatted with a representative to see if they could make an exception. The employee reiterated that the return policy is 14 days after the ship date, and its store credit afterwards. I asked if she could make an exception, and I fully expected to get denied. Instead, she kindly said that she'll accept the return back and refund the original form of payment as a courtesy. I then asked if I could return the item in stores. She said yes, and told me that she left a note in the system. All I needed to do was provide my information to the employee, and they'll be able to assist with the return. I was busy, so I sent my friend to assist me in returning the item. I gave him the items with tags still attached, and even placed the items back in the paper bag that it came in. He went to the store, and it was huge issue. I had given him the QR code for the return, and the manager Kat said that she needed to see the full confirmation email. I don't understand why it matters. Companies scan the barcode/QR code, and it'll pull up the entire order. I was having issues with my phone, so my friend unable to reach me. The manager then said "Oh well. It's after 14 days anyway, which means its refunded back onto merchandise credit." My friend responded with "No. Jenny spoke with an Aritzia representative, and they agreed to do a courtesy refund back onto the original form of payment." The manager's response was "Oh. It's too late. I already refunded it back onto a merchandise card. You'll have to call customer service." Customer service was able to assist me with draining the gift card, putting the funds back onto my credit card, and they apologized for the inconvenience. I understand how frustrating it must've been for the manager since my friend didn't have everything he needed to return the items. She should have at least let him decide what he wanted to do, before instantly deciding to return the money back onto merchandise credit though. read more

There was a 50-70% off sale going on; and everything was still obscenely priced. Like $110 for a tank top; what? The coats had snags in them; the tshirts were paper thin; and the sweaters were pilling already. Aritzia is a modern women's haven & wardrobe saver. So many practical, pretty, comfortable items. The prices might seem to be higher than what you would pay for a modern clothing "staple", but everything always seems to compliment something with what I already have. Aritzia being a Canadian (Vancouver) establishment, they carry tna athletic gear. This I always go in to look, try on, buy. Beware that before you try on, there are only communal mirrors. So someone that works there will always have a say in what you try on and bystanders get a gander. Today, out of all the workers only one was attentive and keen and helpful. The rest of the service here wasn't the best and would put me off from ever shopping here again. I highly recommend asking for Thalia if you are here at uvill. Okay, first and foremost, I really wish I knew the person who helped me in this store. I'm sure I still would have rated the store well, but the AMAZING employee who pulled all the stops was on another level from most people who work in any kind of retail store. It was the end of the day on Monday (I mean, we closed the shop after I tried on things for over an hour) and she was still SO sweet and helpful throughout the whole process. I gave her my situation of what I was looking for and what my general style was and she went around to find all of my perfect matches. I've never had someone pick out such perfect matches for me (after I had looked through the whole place myself). She genuinely shortened my time. As far as the store itself, it's a bit on the pricey side - at least with most of its items. I went when it was having a sale and some of the items were marked down dramatically, but realistically most items were marked down about 5%. High quality items. It seemed like a more modern, edgy version of Eileen Fischer. While my Mom shops there, I really wouldn't try and match those items to my style. This shop does a perfect job of taking the general feel of those clothes, and bringing them to an urban level for 20 to late 30-year old people. read more

And finally this weekend (months and months later) I managed to pop in and take a look It's not a cheap store but the quality is there. Oh Aritzia, how I love your clothes. I'm happy you've established yourself in Seattle because I refuse to go to the Eastside and only shopped your goods in Vancouver. I've been into this location three times in the past month and each time has done some damage to my bank account... but I can't stop myself! Their staples are available basically always. While they do follow trends, they pretty much ALWAYS have: slouchy sweaters, slubby boyfriend-fit tees, cute and comfortable activewear, leggings, jeggings, fitted blazers, simple dresses, modest corset tanks, and adorable accessories. Aside from their own TNA, Talula, and Wilfred lines, they carry what you'd expect from Savvy/TBD at Nordstrom or any other contemporary boutique geared towards women in their 20s-30s such as Rag & Bone, Vince, J Brand, Current/Elliott, and accessories from Marc by Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Rebecca Minkoff, and other trendy designers. The store is not inexpensive by any means at all, but offers cute, stylish options that promise more quality than your fast-fashion stores like H&M and Forever21. I also like that they offer a size XXS in most of their basics, which most other stores do not carry. The U Village location is far larger than the Bellevue Square location and has a lot more out on the floor, but I have experienced varying degrees of helpfulness in customer service. It definitely turns me off when the SAs are quick to help certain people over others which I've noticed in this store and not the others. Another thing I dislike is that their dressing rooms do not have mirrors so you are forced to come out into the store to see how things look when you try them on. I understand that it's helpful to get opinions from other people, but sometimes you just want to evaluate yourself before you go out and face the judging eyes of strangers. My best advice is to come here with a friend. S/he will keep you from making poor decisions leading to buyers remorse (or the equally awful 'why didn't I buy that?!' feeling), instill you with confidence when it comes time to hit the fitting rooms, and help you put together adorable ensembles to try on. Also, don't come here in sweatpants. Actually, don't go anywhere in sweatpants. But especially not here. read more

I love Aritzia! This was my first time coming to the U village location. I came in looking for a couple sweaters for the Fall season. Didn't really have any expectations but Mindy understood what kind of style I liked and helped me pick out a couple outfits. Super sweet and genuine in trying to figure out what I was looking for. Got me started quickly with a dressing room and put a couple extra outfits on the side that were similar styles. I ended buying more than I had expected but totally worth it! It can be a little pricey but quality and the material is nice. Amazing customer service, attentive but not overbearing. I was able get all the things I was looking thanks to Mindy! read more

Extremely disappointed with my visit today. This is the second time I'm visiting this location. The first time I had no problem with the customer service. Today I walked in around 11 am , was browsing for a good 5 minutes. 2 sales associates walked passed by me. No greeting. I stumbled to the back section where another customer was looking. A sales associate came up to her and asked her if she was finding everything okay and completely ignored me! Is a customer judged based on the clothing they wear? The workers at this location are unbelievably RUDE and judgmental. Try to come in wearing sweats or leggings and no one will help you until you get to the register and spend hundreds and all of a sudden they notice you! Even going in wearing full Aritzia outfits, they look you up and down and I have felt racially profiled several times here. I'm a vip customer but not anymore because I'll take my money elsewhere. Aritzia is a contemporary women's clothing store that stocks practical, nice and simplistic clothes. I love most of the stuff they offer. However, some of the things are slightly expensive but most items are made with higher quality and are "staple" enough to be worth their cost. I still love their clothing and will probably continue to shop there but their return policy (especially on sale but either way) is pretty poor. It's 10 days and any sale items are final sale. I make it a habit to buy only things that I try on and am 100% certain I like. Furthermore, the customer service is also pretty poor. The girls are nice but they seem like they go through very little training and clearly are only trying to meet their quotas, they don't appear to be very genuine in helping or very helpful. This is of course probably different on a location basis as I've been to locations with nicer sales associates. read more
