I came here for lunch with my fiancé after a long day of furniture shopping. The atmosphere here is very conducive to large groups. The times I've been here there have been large groups sitting at big tables talking/eating. If you're looking for a quiet place to have dinner this is probably not the spot. The service is decent, they do a better job at lunch then at dinner when it gets busy. Overall service wasn't anything to complain about. The times I've been here I've gotten 3 dishes - Crispy Chicken Green Curry , Roti Curry, and Pad Kee Mow. They're all extremely savory. The portion sizes are huge especially for dinner, so don't worry about leaving hungry! I got level 3 spicy out of 4, and remember the Pad Kee Mow being pretty spicy and the curry dishes being moderate. Will definitely be back many times!!!!! read more

The restaurant did not live up to the bar set by others. Compared to other Asian restaurants in the area, they are just lacking. The space is small, the prices are high and the food is not great. Going there, I was expecting great friendly service and a great meal to boot. However, the server we had gave us odd looks every time we ordered, although they and another employee were mindful of plates and water. Water being your best choice; the soda was $2+ a can and their Thai Iced Thai is very weak in taste and price at $2 with no refills. The food was okay but didn't taste impacting, with the Chicken Satay seemingly uncared for. The peanut sauce was great. The dessert was terrible. The Tiramisu tasted very bitter, the Tempura Cheesecake was warm with barely any cheesecake. The friend Fried Ice Cream was melting heavily and the Cinnamon Ice Cream was frozen and seemed to be glued together between scoops. I would not suggest going here if you're looking for a quiet or happy authentic meal / as a break or relaxation. I know little of Thai places but I did like this one - as I would come again if invited or joining a group from work - but it is not a place I would choose on my own and not typical food I eat. They offer different levels of spice. Everyone at table liked their dish and college age kids loved it. Basic small restaurant, average for this type of restaurant. I'm just reviewing based on the two dishes I've had here: 1. Pad See Iew - above average. Would be better if they used Chinese broccoli or Bok Choy instead of just regular broccoli. 2. Green Curry - average. The curry was noticeably greener than others that I have had (not sure where the color comes from and if that's a good thing or not). I didn't really care for the green beans in it. They weren't bad, but just seemed out of place. The eggplant chunks and carrot slices seemed to be a little undercooked. I got 2.5 out of 5 on the spiciness level and it was pretty mild. I'm a wuss for spicy food, but I think I'd get a least a 3 next time. read more

Excellent Thai dishes. Probably one of my favorite (if not my favorite) restaurants to for Thai food. You can't go wrong with your selection. Great customer service. My fav is the drunken noodles and red chicken curry---the last time the potatoes were a bit undercooked though. Love the Thai iced coffee too. Once again I wish we could do half stars. I give this place a 4 for service and atmosphere but only a 3 for food. My go to is always pad see ew. On a scale of 1-4 I got 2 spicy and there were only a few red pepper flakes here and there. The noodles were great- but the dish was a bit bland as far as the sauce went. As for the "broccoli" it was some Sort of leafy green and stems that reminded me of book Choy with a bit of bitterness. The chicken was well cooked and juicy. I was here for lunch and they brought me a complimentary cup of some Kind of chicken soup with carrots, celery and onions. The broth was very rich and flavorful and had a complexity that I wish my pad see ew had found. The place was full for linch and people seemed happy. The dishes I saw come out were well presented. Don't let the rundown shopping center fool you - this place is awesome!! When you walk in, it's completely unexpected and awesome modern decor. I've been coming here for 7 years and it has NEVER disappointed me. Our family moved and it gets difficult to visit frequently, but I go when I can. My absolute hands down favorite is their green curry chicken with jasmine rice. I've gone to many a Thai restaurant and tried theirs, but Noodle Wave simply knocks it out of the park EVERY time. I enjoyed the crispy chicken green curry dish very much. It was full of flavor and texture contrast. They brought my meal out 5 minutes before my friends meal and I respectfully waited for her to get hers before indulging in mine, which caused my meal to be cold. I didn't like that part. They should've timed it better. She ordered the lobster fried rice I believe and it was a little too fishy tasting for me, but she really enjoyed it. We took a digital media check in photo for a free dessert. The cinnamon ice cream was to die for, the brownie was stale and hard, but I can tell that it would've been great had it been fresh. After visiting the Noodle wave in Frisco ( one of my absolute favorite Thai places ) we were in the Richardson are and I was super excited to eat here! But that's about where my excitement ends. For the starter we ordered the spring rolls and it came supppppeerrr oily! For the main I ordered the Singapore noodles. The first time it came out they had forgotten to put tofu on it. Which I had asked for as my choice of protein. Then when they finally got it the noodles was just so doughy and flavor less. Tried this place out for lunch with a coworker. He had been before so he recommended their lunch special. The lunch special includes soup, a spring roll, green curry, pad Thai and ice cream. There are quite a few great things about Noodle Wave, but one of my favorites is that they serve Halal meat! While that is not personally something I am concerned with, it makes it easy to choose a place to eat out with my friends who do look for Halal food. Additionally, they are a BYOB restaurant! I've gotten a few things from here, but my favorite has always been their Pad Kee Mow with chicken! They mince their meat before adding it to your dish, so don't be alarmed if you ordered your food with meat and you don't see any discernible pieces. If you're interested in tofu, they do make it pretty well and ensure it's not mushy. They're big on presentation, so my noodles are always served in a pretty white bowl with the lettuce, carrot ringlets, basil, and cabbage on the side. The service is always quick, although sometimes that can prove to be a tad irksome if you're trying to catch up with a friend and get too caught up in conversation to order at the pace they would like you to. However, they're always accommodating and tell you they'll come back later. The parking lot is always very crowded, so I always aim for the part of the lot closer to the road to ensure I don't have to waste time searching for one of the spots near the actual restaurant. read more

Before I dive into the food, I would just like to say that this place did an amazing job making me feel comfortable eating there despite COVID being a concern. All employees had their masks on and the mask requirement was implemented for all customers walking in. They also distanced the tables well enough to be safe, though I came around 2-3pm when it wasn't very busy so my opinion may be slightly biased. Additionally, THE BATHROOMS ARE SO CLEAN. On to the food-- well, it was amazing. I came with my family of five and we got two appetizers and four main dishes (dinner size plates). I can assure you that amount was enough to feed at least eight people. One main dinner size dish could feed two people easily. I was hoping to get the lunch size, but they only did dinner size on the weekends. Appetizers: Crab cream cheese rangoon Noodle wave wings Main items: Sesame chicken Orange chicken Kung pao chicken Mongolian beef (All main items were each served with a plate of rice) The appetizers were both delicious. The noodle wave wings weren't the BEST wings I ever had, I definitely had better, but they were still pretty good. And they came with six wings so one for each of my family members (plus one extra for me hehe). If you're looking for spicy, this was pretty low on the spice level for me (I have a really high spice tolerance). The crab rangoons were also good. They were a bit smaller than I expected (but that is only because I've had really big ones). However, that's not to say that's a bad thing. I always had trouble eating the bigger crab Rangoons, so these were the perfect size. Majority of my family enjoyed these (except my mother, but she's not a huge fan of the cream cheese filling so she doesn't really count lol). The main dishes were all wonderful (I'm currently eating the leftovers and crying from the yummy goodness). Presentation was nice and tidy and serving sizes were large. We asked for a spice level of three for all of them, which wasn't really spicy but you could still ever so slightly taste the spice and I found that to be the perfect amount. For reference-- my father's spice tolerance is pretty low and he was still able to eat everything. My personal favorite was the sesame chicken, even though I thought it would be the orange chicken because I love orange chicken. The orange chicken was also really good, but I've had better before. I was surprised by the Mongolian beef-- mostly because I don't really enjoy beef that often, but it was really well cooked. The Kung pao chicken tasted like any other Kung pao chicken to me, but I'm not complaining either. All in all, it was a great first experience here. I don't have any cons about this place. The only minor detail is that we were only given forks, where forks and knives both are necessary when eating the main dishes. Of course, we just asked and they brought them so that wasn't a big deal. Service is good. Place is clean. Food is amaze. So I left as a very happy, very satisfied customer. 10/10 recommend read more

weeeeell, that wasn't bad. When out in Dallas for work, I needed something asian and this was the closest to my hotel that was still open. The restaurant does a great job being swank, and the food wasn't bad. The part I'd recommend is the fact that they're open late, and the parking lot seems OK, but kinda confusing when you search. The building has huuuuge roaches outside, but what building doesn't? All the best Asian restaurants I've been to have "B" ratings or less (an LA county rating system with ABC being grades) While not necessarily authentic, the decor was attractive, the staff friendly and helpful and the food well decked out. Our office caters frequently and we have just started catering from Noodle Wave. Every time, without fail, the food is fantastic! Just as good as if you were eating at the restaurant. It's always delivered on time, fresh and piping hot. Have gotten rave reviews from team members about how delicious everything is - and I work with some really boring people who are very picky eaters.
