    Pho with grilled pork chop
    Jenny H.

The restaurant is located right in Tangram mall which makes it convenient. In this Wednesday night, it was fairly slow so we were able to quickly order with the cashier. The staff were friendly and helpful with questions to help us decide. The place is simple with few tables for eating. Once we placed our order, decided on rare beef pho and grilled pork chop pho, we sat down at a table and waited. The service were quick and the food werewere brought us. I was disappointed that the broth was light missing the depth of Vietnamese flavors I'm accustomed to. The mint and bean sprouts were also in the broth so it depends on what the cook put vs to my liking. The pork chop was tasty but the pho needed work. The price was reasonable being in a mall but not sure if I'd come back given so many eateries in and outside the mall.

I was very hungry in Tangram mall and decided to give Nonla Express a try. The portion was a bit small for $17. The Pho broth was not too flavorful, nothing special that I would come back for. I did like how they had a screen to show when the show order was ready.

One of the better options in Tangram! Liked the chicken wings, ribeye pho! Can order on the Kiosk. They also have sugarcane juice!

I was really excited to try their summer rolls until I had them. There was absolutely no flavor to this dish what so ever. The spring rolls were way better and super fried. I definitely needed to blot my spring rolls because of the grease. The wings are really good but I only ate one because the rest were pink inside. The service and waiting time for our food was under 10 minutes. I definitely would like to come back here to order the pho. I love that there's a sink in location as well. The spot is very clean and they answer any questions that you have. Its the express verison, I would love to see a bigger location from them. I'm Definitely a fan.

Amazing flavors and quality of food for a very fair price! The food is very clean and you can tell that the ingredients used are very fresh. Their lunch special which I loved comes with a full entree, half app, and a regular sized drink for $25 which is honestly a great deal in general and a full meal but even more so because it's in Tangram (limited to weekdays). The store itself has very warm and inviting colors and decor and service was great!

This is the only pho spot in the Flushing area that I know of and the food comes out pretty quick. They have a lunch special for $25 where you can get an appetizer, a main dish, and a drink. This is only available on the weekdays 11AM - 3PM. Squid Game ($9) - These are squid patties with the shapes referencing the hit Netflix series. They only made 30 orders per day and they're worth trying. Pho Special ($17) - Overall pretty good. Wished they would give more tendon and tripe as there was only a piece each. Shaking Beef ($17) - The beef is really good. Tender and flavorful. There is a side salad, but I feel like they put too much rice into this. Sugarcane Juice ($6) - Very refreshing drink. Would get again. I also like how they have a sink in the back for you to discard the pho and remaining broth rather than straight into the trash. You can also wash your hands there before and after your meal.

I was really thirsty so saw this sugar cane drink here and decided to try bc I don't usually have it. It was good. Real sugarcane juice but I think they made it sweeter with some sugar. Too much ice though next time I will ask for no ice. Fast & takeout.

Phast Phood Pho in Tangram! This new addition to the food court scene brings more variety to all the Asian restaurants here. You order at the front counter or at the self-serve kiosk, then grab a table to wait for your number to be called to receive your food. Portions are not that great for the price and are higher than expected. There are plenty of Vietnamese restaurants in the area that deliver better value though. The Lemongrass Chicken Wings is just 4 wingettes (no drummies) for $8 and the Squid Game (capitalizing on the Korean TV drama) is just 3 small pork patties with squid and the restaurant symbol branded on it. Total meh. The Grilled Pork Chop Pho was pretty flavorless, but the Lemongrass Beef was the better entree, with a big piece of grilled steak over rice. They give you fish sauce in a cup, but it's spicy with chili peppers floating in it. What's cute are the LKK Hoisin Sauce and HFF Sriracha packets (like McDonald's ketchup), you would normally find in condiment bottles on tables in Viet restaurants.

Soft Opened Friday March 21, 2025. It's in the food court of Tangram. I was in the area and they had a soft opening combo deal, so figured I'd get some to go. I ordered at the kiosk, but you can order with a cashier. They have 3 types of pho and 3 different drinks. Beef, Chicken and Spicy Beef Pho (normally $17). Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Sugarcane Juice and Salted Limeade (normally $6). With the soft opening combo deal, it was a pho and a drink for $20. They have a screen showing you when your order is ready. Mine said 9 mins, but got it in 5 mins! I chose the Beef Pho and the Salted Limeade. They have a few tables and counter seating, but I ordered it to go. It came in a branded semi insulated bag (not fully insulated since it is just a single button closure - I was smelling it all the way home). The Beef Pho had a lot of noodles! So much so that the plastic container holding the noodles sank into the soup. They were a bit too soft for my liking, but could have just been from sitting in the soup while I was transporting it home. I liked being able to choose no scallions, and a side of Sriracha and Hoisin (both of which came in a packet). They also give a lime wedge and fish sauce. I was unsure how the beef would hold up since it took me half an hour to get home, but it held up really well! The broth has really good beefy flavor. It was a little on the oily side, but the lime and fish sauce (which has a bit of a kick to it) helped balance it out. I did not need the hoisin or sriracha. The Salted Limeade was not too sweet. Limey and salty... I'm not personally a fan of the flavor combo, but wanted to try it out. A nice addition to Tangram Mall. I'd like to try their Chicken Pho next time, and dine in.

    Spicy beef pho, beef pho

Came here with a group of friends on a Tuesday night. Menu was simple with 3 options for pho (beef, spicy beef and chicken) and 3 options for drinks (salted limeade, viet coffee and sugarcane juice). I opted for the beef pho. I had my eyes on the sugarcane juice but unfortunately they were all out. The service was good and place was clean. The pho in all honesty has room for improvement. For the price, I expected a bit more.

New Vietnamese restaurant that newly opened in the Tangram Mall in Flushing. I was honestly looking forward to this place as I love pho. However, as the name suggests it is an express restaurant with 3 pho choices (beef pho, spicy beef pho, and chicken pho) and 3 drink choices (sugarcane juice, Vietnamese coffee, and salted limeade. In fact, they even have a kiosk for you to order yourself if you do not want to speak with anyone. The combo of a soup noodle with a drink is cheaper than buying a soup noodle and a drink by itself. So, I ordered one beef pho combo with a salted limeade. Unfortunately, they ran out of sugarcane juice on a weekday night when I went so I didn't get a chicken pho combo and just a chicken pho by itself. Everything was wrong with the salted limeade - too salty, too sweet, and not sour enough. Even after squeezing all the lime that comes with the pho for me and all my friends it was still not sour enough. As for the pho noodles, they were quite mediocre. The soup was hot as my friends burnt their tongue (which is how I like my soup noodles), but the noodles were stuck together in a bundle at the bottom of the paper bowls. Definitely prefer more authentic pho noodles served in actual bowls, but I understand the paper bowls since it's express and self clean up. The soup base for the chicken pho was bland and nothing compared to the pho ga places I love. The beef is definitely better than the chicken, but still not as good as any other pho places in Flushing and there's no good pho places in Flushing! I can't imagine how much worse it can get if you order this for take-out. I already ordered to sit-in at the restaurant in which it is served on trays with a utensils package and sauce packets (Hoisin and Sriracha). The utensils set is quite cute and sturdy - it comes with a soup spoon, chopsticks, and a napkin. After eating, you do need to drain your soup at the sink, throw out your own trash, and return the trays. The price is quite steep for what you get. Although, I did enjoy the spacious, wooden layout of the place and the employees seemed nice. I always say to give places a try since it's different for everyone, but I don't recommend this pho place at all.

    Salted Limeade
    Calbert C.

Came here with a few friends after watching a movie. I ordered the Chicken Pho and Beef Pho combo which comes with a drink. The three drink options were Salted Limeade, Vietnamese Iced Coffee, and Sugar Cane Juice. You can order at the kiosk or counter and they will call your number when your order is ready. We came around 9PM on a Tuesday and there were plenty of open tables. The Chicken Pho was okay. The broth didn't have a lot of flavor and tasted slightly sour. It's not the sourness from the limes you find from many Vietnamese dishes, but it's the sourness you get from old leftover chicken. The noodles were average. It didn't have the pleasant chew you normally get with great pho. They don't give you fresh chicken, they give you shredded chicken breast which is dry and isn't that flavorful. The beef pho tasted slightly better. The broth was a bit bland but the beef flavor did punch through. I did enjoy the pieces of beef since there was enough fat and was pretty tender. The noodles were the same as in the chicken pho. It reminded me of the packaged pho noodles you can get from the supermarket. The salted limeade I chose with the beef pho combo wasn't bad (since they ran out of sugar cane juice) but it was too sweet and not sour enough for my taste. Because it is an express restaurant, I understand that you wouldn't get the same quality as a Vietnamese restaurant. However, the quality and taste is significantly lower BUT the price of a bowl of pho is the same, if not more than at a Vietnamese restaurant and that is where I think the main issue is.

    Summer roll
    Riki J.

Located conveniently in Tangram mall, they have their own seating if you're dining in. You order at the counter. I always get their summer roll and a salted limeade or sugarcane juice. My new thing to do for the summer has been to mix half sugar cane juice and half salted limeade and it's the best. Refreshingly sweet with salty, tangy mix to balance it out. The salty limeade is a scripted taste if you're not used to salted iced beverages but I think everyone should try it at-least once. They offer a small menu that is done well, can't go wrong with Th anything on their menu. I also do a lunch special menu which made the food more affordable.

This place feels like a hidden gem you almost want to keep secret... but it's just too good not to share. What makes Pho Metro stand out right away is how authentic it feels. You can tell this is truly a labor of love. One guy runs the show and somehow manages to do it all, from cooking to serving, and the care he puts into the food absolutely shows in every single bite. It has that comforting, homemade quality that makes you feel like you've stepped into a small family kitchen rather than just another restaurant. The food itself is outstanding. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, from the herbs to the broth. I highly recommend the thin noodles with the spicy lemongrass broth (you can request this if it's not listed). It's bursting with flavor, slightly tangy, perfectly spicy, and deeply savory in a way that warms you from the inside out. Every spoonful feels like a cozy blanket on a cold day. The summer rolls are another must-order. They're fresh, light, and packed with flavor, and the peanut sauce that comes with them is absolutely delicious. It's rich, savory, and addictive enough that you'll find yourself scraping the cup to get every last drop. Another detail I really appreciated is how everything you need is right at your fingertips. All the sauces are readily available at the table, so you can customize your bowl exactly how you like it without having to ask or wait. It makes the whole experience feel easy, comfortable, and welcoming. And don't skip the Thai iced tea. It's perfectly sweet, creamy, and refreshing, especially alongside the bold flavors of the pho. It's the kind of drink that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. Overall, this place delivers on flavor, authenticity, and heart. It's rare to find a spot where you can truly taste the effort and pride in every dish, but Pho Metro does exactly that. I will absolutely be returning again and again. But this was by far the dirtiest restaurant I've ever been to in New York City. I genuinely wonder how the health department hasn't shut this place down. Since I was already there and hungry, I decided to take the risk and give it a shot anyway. I regret it. I honestly felt bad about allowing myself and my wife to eat there. The walls near the kitchen and bathroom were disgusting, the tables were dirty, and if you sit near the kitchen, you can literally see the staff grabbing basil leaves and bean sprouts with their bare hands to serve customers. No gloves, no tongs, nothing. I was honestly speechless about the hygiene situation. At one point, a waitress brought herself a summer roll, stood right next to our table, grabbed sauce from another customer's table, and started eating while standing there. There was so much going on in that place that I honestly can't even explain it properly. If you ask me about the food itself, I don't think it was bad. But at the same time, I can't give a fair opinion because my brain simply wouldn't let me enjoy the meal peacefully while constantly noticing the chaos and lack of cleanliness around me. I would not recommend this place if hygiene and cleanliness matter to you. This place is unbelievably dirty.
