Drinks, food, and the great outdoors locally here in South Austin/Sunset Valley area.

Great little place to stop off for a beer. Or a glass of wine or a mixed drink, for that matter! Super informal but comfortable atmosphere. Lots of parking and great service at the bar. They have two large outdoor seating areas in addition to lots of seating indoors. I love a good IPA and they had several to choose from. Since I was the designated driver, I was able to have a second drink by ordering a nonalcoholic IPA. It was also quite good. Highly recommend! Cheers!

This was a bit of a happy accident that we sent across this place. We were on the west side and just looking for someone to eat, and GPS said this was close enough so we slid in. It was the middle of the day and it was still pretty busy. Food truck food was pretty dope, drinks a little fancy, but the kicker was that they had the magic school bus on the TV. I need you to understand, I was watching Ms Frizzle for an hour and I didn't mind.

    Pet friendly even for lions

Nomadic Outpost is a great place to hang out. Good beers and it's pet friendly. You can even bring your lion so he doesn't have to stay home . The Mexican food trailer and the Thai food trailer are a must try . Tacos with red or green corn tortillas and the Thai chicken skewers are only a few that I have tried . I will definitely save my appetite so when I go there I can try more . The bartenders are very helper and will let you sample the beer of your choice. Tuesdays are trivia nights

This place is close to my house so that's a win! The parking is tricky when it's crowded so just be aware. There are plenty of picnic tables around the property and lots of space for the kids to run around away from the tables. The inside is cute too. There are both high top tables and some regular ones. There is a cute little red couch and matching chairs. The restrooms are unisex if that matters to you. It doesn't to me. Just wash your hands and don't leave a mess! There are lots of beers on tap from Nomadic Beerworks and a few guest (local) beers.

Was in town and wanted to find a little spot that could please a beer drinker and a coffee lover! My friend also didn't know that places existed that served both, so I was pleasantly surprised when I found this gem on Yelp! It's a chill vibe, the servers are amazing, but one think I really want to call out...:..the Cocomel Latte! Holy freakin airball! It was sooooooo good! I would come back for this drink alone! Visit for yourself, you won't regret it!

This is a typical beer garden venue. The indoor area is small, but offers refuge from the Texas heat. They have cornhole and lots of picnic tables for seating outside. There is a stage outdoors, so I am assuming they have live music occasionally. Our drinks were very good. The drawbacks for me were: mosquitoes and a missing cohesive style. Fortunately, I had repellent in my car for my friend whom the mosquitoes really loved. The style of the place felt like MAYBE a tiki bar meets a bar your uncle put behind his barn. My friend said many places have "come and gone" at this location, so maybe the Nomadic Outpost is still getting established. I'll try again when the weather is cooler.

Dave is really friendly this is a relaxed Austin spot with coffee and cocktails. They are also a brewery. They had a yoga gathering the morning I came by. Crocodile Thunder fruit punch sour-, Morning Glory is an expresso tonic. All great choices!!! Definitely a great place to relax and share while getting premium drinks. Something for everyone vibe.

My friend and I eyed this place and have been wanting to try it out for so long! We decided to stop today and the vibes were immediately super cozy! The duo playing music outside was performing a song by Chris Stapleton and I was already loving it. We went inside and it was super cozy as well, the atmosphere was impeccable. We took our time to read the menu, there is coffee, beers, cocktails and much more. We opted for coffee and ended up asking advice to the guy at the counter (my bad for not asking his name, he was super nice) We ended up getting an Iced Cocomel (coconut caramel iced latte) and a Hot Blueberry Maple Latte. We headed outside to enjoy the music and I have to admit, the coffee tasted amazing. I normally like coffee on the sweater side, whether my friend on the bitter side. They were excellent. I didn't need to add sugar to mine, it tasted perfect. Definitely could taste both the coconut and the caramel and not just sweet like in other places. The blueberry maple had a strong flavor of blueberry, which I loved, but I would've add some sugar. Probably because it was hot.. We enjoyed the music and ended up staying over three hours. The guy told us that there's music every Sunday until 5pm and they do other events too every now and then. Highly recommended, also if you want to get some work done and enjoy music at the same time. Even to go there with friends and enjoy it all together!

Newer second location on Brodie Lane from the brothers of Nomadic Beerworks. This place is awesome, and I think all of us locals are happy to have it in the neighborhood. Not only are they a brewery, but they do coffee and cocktails too. They are kid-friendly, and have a mini ropes course and tons of space. Although I enjoy it as it, they've mentioned they have plans to expand the parking lot and add a playground. Good things in the works! Now hoping they can get some more food options besides just Slab BBQ

They even had a gluten free chocolate chip cookie that felt homemade. (I forget the bakery's name that was on the wrapper). My wife enjoyed her espresso milk shake and I had their seasonal strawberry crumble (cinnamon) latte and loved it! I would have never thought about strawberry flavor in a latte - but glad I was feeling "adventurous" that day. Lol. It actually reminded me of when I was a kid and would make strawberry flavored milk with Hershey's strawberry syrup. So basically that plus cinnamon and coffee. Who knew?! Their seating area is very cute and they have outdoor tables as well. (It was too hot for outside but in the cooler season it would be a nice little local neighborhood spot to chill out in). The baristas were also very pleasant and friendly. Additionally, I visited the restroom to wash my hands and I seriously don't recall ever seeing such a clean, spotless, and pleasantly scented, coffee shop or restaurant bathroom! Kudos to the staff who clearly work hard keeping the entire store clean and inviting.

I happily drive over 25 minutes just to get my coffee here, and I'd do it again without hesitation. Everything is made with so much care. They roast their own coffee beans in-house, and you can truly taste the difference. Their espresso is incredibly smooth never bitter, never burnt, just consistently excellent. My personal favorite is the Honey Lavender Latte, but their matcha is hands down the best I've had anywhere in Austin. They also make their own syrups from scratch, and their house chai is unlike any other fresh, balanced, and full of flavor. I also love that you can buy their freshly roasted beans to take home, have them delivered, or even sign up for a coffee subscription. It's such a great way to enjoy their coffee even when you can't make it into the shop. The baristas are always genuinely kind, welcoming, and passionate about what they do. Every visit feels personal, and the atmosphere is warm without trying too hard. They even host coffee classes, which is such a fun way to learn more about the craft behind every cup. Praxis may be a little hidden, but that's part of its charm. If you appreciate high-quality coffee, thoughtfully crafted drinks, and supporting an incredible local small business, this place deserves a spot at the top of your list. Austin is lucky to have them.

I did get a pastry and I'm not sure if they don't warm them up but I wasn't asked if I wanted it warmed, but thank goodness we live in Texas and I can just put it on the dash while I drive to my next destination and it will warm up.
