So I actually go the Noisette that's on 30th ave but since I don't see a listing for it, I'll have to post it here. Their cakes are so delicious. I've tried 4 flavors so far and they're all just incredible. Light, fresh, rich in flavor, and not disgustingly sweet like a lot of American cakes. I've liked every single one. I normally dislike chocolate cakes (I know, I'm weird) but I even loved the chocolate ones here. I can't remember the names of the flavors I've had but I'm starting to think that you can select any flavor at random and walk away with something delicious. The problem with this place is that it makes me greedy. I bought 3 slices last time, all different flavors, and had a hard time sharing with my roommates. The pastry and desserts are absolutely stunning to look at through the case and delicious as well. There is a seating area inside and a semi-outside seating area. Parking is horrible so make sure you come with a friend to stay in the car while you park illegally. One thing is the signage outside is a little difficult to figure out the name of the bakery because it's written in a very fancy script font. read more

The Chocolate TRIO is to die for. It's so good that even if they charged a dollar or two more, presented on a date plate, the pastry would still be worth every penny. The flavor is complex and not too sweet. The coffee and espresso drinks are also ON-POINT depending who the server is but even for the one bad experience I've had, it was, by far, still acceptable. read more

While apartment hunting in Astoria, I spotted this little bakery and decided I must try it. I went in expecting a bit more selection, but everything they had looked beautiful. I settled on a chocolate croissant, which huge yet only $1.75! When I took my first bite I stopped in my tracks. It was heavenly. I quickly devoured the rest of the soft, buttery, chocolaty treat. My only regret is that I didn't grab a cup of coffee to go with my croissant. Noisette, I will be back! read more

Stopped by here when i was craving something sweet. This store is the pearl of Astoria. The pastries are so delightful. They are set in display to rob your attention. My all time favorite is the strawberry shortcake . It has a bonus its not as sweet as regular cheese cake type. Which helps you actually enjoy it and taste the strawberries and the cake itself. It comes in such cute containers making traveling with them on the go much easier and heyy you can even make the people jealous with your box of goodies. read more

I love them. Chocolate Hazelnut cake is amazing! Also if you are up early grab a muffin (still hot from the oven). Staff is super friendly. They let you sample cookies and can talk about what's in the desserts. I highly recommend this place and I am pretty picky when it comes to sweets. read more

This review is only for a takeout order of their cream puffs. They looked so delicious from outside that I had to have some. I brought them home and ended up throwing them away because they were stale and lackluster. The bread was old and the cream was an unsweetened paste. I can't speak to anything else, but definitely don't order the cream puffs. The inside looked nice and has a relaxed atmosphere for a quick drink and pastry. read more

we have been getting pastries from here for a while. 9 out of 10 are excellent! Always fresh and of rich taste. However the 1 star will continue to get deducted because of: The baked goods have always been less than average.. The cash only taped on sign on the register is unacceptable in 21st century Astoria. The gloomy and dark ambiance is questionable at minimum. Nevertheless, the pastries really make up for everything else and i will keep going back as i continue my search for the proper French Patisserie.... read more

Assorted croissants (butter, almond, cheese/honey, and chocolate--that one I haven't tried) are really good and not and fairly priced at $2.50-$3. Fancier pastries (assorted cakes/mousses) are really good (the ones I've tried), but a bit more expensive.They are open fairly late on the weekends. Credit cards are not accepted. And, the pastry case always looks a little bare. The service has always been pleasant when I'm there, but I only grab a pastry and go. read more

The espresso was good and the macaroons were even better, light and delicate morsels of yumminess...there are a lot of cafes on the strip but Noisette appeared to have the best pastries as their cases were near empty. read more

Decent, to pretty good but nothing special. I have eaten at some of the best NYC and Paris has to offer and this place although fine for the hood doesn't compare to the top places in the In those locals. Its funny how pastry can look exactly the same in different places but the ingredients and the preparation technique is what separates the contenders from the pretenders. That being said they are cheaper than the contenders but I will pay the extra in NYC for the wow effect but that's me ! read more

I have ordered pastries from Noisette quite a few times and I find them all delicious, especially the chocolate crackle dessert with hazelnut filling.. Their croissants are buttery rich, a light crispy texture and taste so fresh. Their fruit tarts are also quite scrumptious like the pear and apricot tarts. I do wish they would make a pineapple tart similar to the ones I get from the Italian bakery because they would do an awesome job for sure. They do have to work on preparing coffee a bit better.. I had an ice coffee once that was really nice but other times the coffee has been meh.. not so up to par, so I get coffee elsewhere. They should also accept credit cards. read more

Every time I stop by Noisette, it brightens my day. Its a cozy little pastry shop with friendly, professional staff. I usually grab a coffee and some type of flaky pastry on mornings when I want a treat, but I've also stopped by in the afternoon for an espresso and one of their mini versions of their cakes or tarts. I find them a really good value for the quality of dessert they serve. The cafe inside is small and will feel crowded if you go at a busy time, but they have sidewalk seating in nice weather and it is a little more protected than some sidewalk cafes so you don't feel like you are sitting directly in the street. read more

Agree that this bakery is a hidden gem. The tiramisu and a chocolate pastry that I think was the opera was delicious. The serving size for each was perfect and $3.50 a piece. The food was good, chocolate mouse and another thing I got there with hazelnut were really yummy, the lady working there seemed nice...the problem is the rest of the cafe. They serve you french pastries on styrofoam plates and plastic forks, you go back to your table with a plastic tray that resembles the trays we had in middle school cafeterias. The cleaning product in the bathroom is so strong, the whole seating area has a very cleaning-chemical-flowery scent which throws off the flavor of what you are eating. The coffee is served in paper cups and the decor of the place is cheesy and poorly done. I've never been to a cafe where they served food like this. It just seems like they are not really matching their product to their presentation, you go to a french place for the french feel and the experience just falls short. They need to get proper plates and silverware and serve the coffee in nice heavy mugs. read more

Passed by this place many times before finally walking in. I was pleasantly surprised by the large selection of french pasties they offered. I tried some petit fours and all of them were very delicious. I went back a few times since then for their chocolate croissant, which is always so fresh and delicious! My husband and I walked into this French Bakery on Saturday and literary fell in love with everything in this shop. We had Some Macaroons and let me tell you this were GREATTTT. we also had a Chocolate Napoleon and its was delicious. My husband stopped by and brought me a few croissants and pastries. The almond croissant is amazing. We had a similar tasting chocolate cream filled croissant as well. I ate the entire thing myself and didnt even offer a bite to anyone. It was that good! On his second trip he brought home the chocolate noisette and strawberry short cake. Both were as good as everyone says. The fact that nothing is overly sweet is what sets this bakery apart. HIghly recommend. read more
