Went to their stall in the Green City farmers market and wow was it amazing. We got the smoked beef bulgogi banh mi sandwich and split it between two people. With tax, it came out to about $20, which seemed a bit pricy at the time but after eating it, it was sooo worth it. The sandwich was decadent and beautifully presented. It's also not a traditional banh mi sandwich, so don't expect that, but rather a fusion of various flavors (as you can probably assume for the bulgogi and banh mi part of the title). There was a pink sauce, pickled red onions, apples, and more which all complemented each other. The best banh mi I've had. I'm now looking forward to dining in this establishment one day.

Cute but chaotic matcha shop. There was a huge line when I came by on a weekend day and the shop was bustling. The menu is extremely matcha focused and there are only a few drinks that aren't matcha. The drinks station was extremely chaotic and the staff seemed to be running around trying to make the drinks as fast as they could. They seem rather understaffed relatively to how busy they are and how long it takes to make each drink. I asked for specific modifications (no ice on one drink and no milk in another) and neither of them were correct. Interior is large with plenty of seating but people have a tendency to camp out.
I got the banana bread matcha w oat milk no ice. This drink was BUSSSINNN. Easily one of my favorite matchas. It had that earthy matcha flavor I love, and the banana pieces/syrup at the bottom made it so good. The banana crunch and light foam on top were perfect and not overwhelming. It wasn't too sweet at first, but once mixed it leans a bit sweeter and you taste the matcha a little less. Still amazing though. Getting it no ice and then filling to the top made it even better. The space is also a great study spot with big tables and pretty comfy seating. Service was kind and welcoming too.
First time trying noble fat from the Logan square farmers market. I got the blueberry matcha with the cream top, oat milk, and sweetener. It was okay. I was hoping they would have the banana bread matcha but they were selective with what they had on the menu. Service was great. The straw was horrible. I definitely want to try other drinks and foods at the actual cafe.
Noble fat was very lively on the inside - they had music blasting and the tables were filled with customers! They had about 5 different matcha powder options to choose from and a variety of flavor options. I got their most popular ceremonial grade powder as a black sesame latte with almond milk. It tasted like one of the highest quality matchas I've ever had - very earthy. If you are already iffy about matcha then you probably wouldn't like this place. I would say Noble Gat is for the true matcha lovers - this place is legit and knows their stuff about matcha!
I'm not into Matcha and actively avoid ordering it, but honestly it was very good here. We tried: - Banana Bread Houjicha - Strawberry Matcha w/Guava Sauce - Ube Basque Cheesecake It was all delicious. The cheesecake was rich, the matcha very strawberry forward, and it tasted like they somehow condensed a whole banana into the Houjicha drink. I wouldn't say it's a place to study. Not many seats, but turnover was relatively quick. Definitely worth a try.
I kept hearing that Noble Fat had one of the best matchas in Chicago, so I knew I had to check them out. They are one of the few places that specialize in matcha rather than espresso drinks. I came on a Wednesday morning to a fairly empty store. The baristas were nice and helpful in recommending what to order. Honestly, I was pretty disappointed. The price of the drink was hefty, and the size was tiny. My drink came out to being about $10, and I finished it in about 2 sips (especially with how much ice they put). The matcha flavor was decent, but the banana cream was really sweet and kind of overpowered. The value just really wasn't there. When I went, they also did not yet have Wi-Fi, but I wonder if that has changed. In general, I wouldn't go out of my way to try it.

However, the cashier never put in our food order so we waited for 45 minutes because we asked where our food was 30 minutes in and then it was finally placed. The matchas were amazing and I would definitely get them again. The longuisa sandwich was phenomenal I would come back just for that as well.

I really love matcha- noble fat does an amazing job! You can tell they use unreal quality matcha - you can taste it. However I think the cup size was a little on the small size for the price. I will return

A warm and inviting café tucked away in Lincoln Park, with a thoughtful menu of specialty matcha and hojicha lattes (among other things). Their HOJICHA LATTES were what brought me in the door. Hojicha drinks can be quite hard to come by, especially compared to the seemingly endless match options out there. Noble Fat absolutely does them RIGHT, serving rich, wonderfully fragrant hojicha lattes that are genuinely unforgettable. We tried the Banana Bread Hojicha and the Black Sesame Hojicha. Both were incredible, but the Black Sesame Hojicha was my personal favorite. Don't skip out on their little treats. We tried their Ube "Mochi Cake," and it absolutely blew my mind. Perfect texture. Pleasant flavor. Biting into it instantly transported me back to my college days in Champaign-Urbana, where I'd frequently stop by my favorite little Japanese bakery, Suzu's Bakery. Dare I say, Noble Fat's "Mochi Cake" just might've topped it. The ambiance and service is perfect. Cozy and welcoming. Whether you're settling in for a long-overdue catch-up with an old friend or opening up your laptop for an afternoon of productivity, this is the kind of café that makes you want to linger. Noble Fat exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to be back for more. read more
This is a true matcha bar. I was only able to try the hojicha which was excellent but you can tell they curated their menu and station to make quality matcha drinks. Prices are what they should be for that quality, and will make you question other coffee shops.. I can't wait to try more! I also ordered the avocado toast and it was excellent. I would be careful cutting into it and accidentally eating the plating paper.. also wish they had proper silverware because I feared breaking the plastic every bite. My only wish is that the music was less hectic. read more

Visiting from out of town and like most people stopped by Kasama to get their breakfast sandwich which was very good. The next day my friend from the area suggested we go here to compare their longanisa sandwich. Noble Fats was far and above imo. The runny egg, the gruyere and the pickled onion was the perfect bite. Longanisa was the perfect blend of sweet and savory and the bun toasted to perfection. The fries ruined all future fries for me. Clearly must have been blanched or pre-fried because the exterior crisp was exquisite while the inside was airy and fluffy. They also held they'd texture for the duration of the meal. Cheesecake is never my favorite but their basque style Ube variety still wanders through my dreams. Silky custardy texture and not overpoweringly sweet. I know most people seem to be reviewing the matcha here which was fine but they are missing out on the stars of the show imo. read more
Had the blueberry and the banana bread matcha and both were phenomenal. I really enjoyed the matcha profile and the color was beautiful as well. They both were made with pulp so if you aren't a texture person I wouldn't gravitate towards these. I love a fruity matcha so these were amazing and would definitely hit this cafe up on my next trip to chi town read more
Great little cafe with great matcha and food! I forget what the sandwich was called but it reminded me of Kasama's breakfast sandwich! Very yummy and easy to split between 2. The rolls were flavorful and well seasoned too. The matcha strawberry is a classic but they did it well. The banana bread - it was a little surprising to suck up actual banana chunks but just goes to show how fresh it is. The banana chunks made it a little difficult to taste the combo of match and banana though. Service was good, lots of people going in and out, we got lucky to snag a table. Ambience was great for catching up with friends. Street parking outside was easy to find. read more
Would like to preface this by saying that I generally like my matchas unflavored and unsweetened. But I had decided to take a chance and order their seasonal pumpkin pie matcha with slightly less pumpkin jam. The drink was made surprisingly quickly which was great. But I was quite disappointed with the drink itself. The pumpkin spice in the drink didn't mesh well with the matcha at all, was overpowering, and made the whole drink taste like perfume. I could tell that the matcha by itself would've tasted good, so some buyers regret there. Overall, a really cute cafe, that I would maybe like to give another chance, but that pumpkin pie drink was so bad, I don't think I'd get any fancy seasonal flavors. read more
I've stopped buying matcha out lately since I usually don't get a super high quality product, or it tastes like mostly milk. After seeing reviews and videos I was really excited to try this place but tried not to get my hopes up too high. It was AMAZING. The best matcha latte that I've ever ordered out!! The store front is really small but so so cute inside. There's a fair amount of seating for the size of the place, but it was so busy. We had to wait for people to leave to snag a table big enough for our group. There are so many options on the menu!! I had to ask the barista what she recommends because everything looked great. I ended up getting the banana bread matcha latte, and my friends got the strawberry matcha. I normally don't like banana or strawberry flavors but they were both SO GOOD. The matcha is super high quality and they use real banana and strawberry in both drinks. If you like matcha you need to come to this place!! A little pricey but it's so worth it. read more
New matcha place in LP! The short version is this is top matcha quality but expensive for a small cup. I got the banana bread matcha and made the mistake of not mixing it before I walked out of the shop, so I drank mostly just regular matcha and ended up saving the banana syrup at the bottom for my coffee the next day. Nonetheless I was not disappointed by this drink; it was some of the best quality matcha I've had. I enjoyed the banana syrup too - it's got a good cinnamon maple flavor too it and isn't super banana forward if that's not your thing. Although the cup was small and about $9.50 for a banana bread matcha with oat milk, I did enjoy it. Due to the price I probably won't be a regular though. The space has a good amount of tables but was packed and extremely loud. Definitely a younger crowd and a line formed at the register but the staff were quite friendly. read more

This spot has so many yummy combinations of matcha. the people who work here are very nice, friendly, and helpful. I got the lumpia and they were tiny and delicious, unscarred them all down so quickly lol would order again! I got a regular iced matcha w agave and it was very good. The interior is pretty small and clean. Lots of street parking on Lincoln, but it does get busy. read more

I've been here 4 times since they opened because clearly I have a problem but ever since trying them at the Logan square farmers market, I've been hooked. Their matcha is high quality and service is always phenomenal (though I've heard some horror stories from other customers). Even though I like them, I will say the quality fluctuates a lot. You could go one day and it would be great and the next day, you could barely taste the matcha flavor. My favorites so far are the strawberry matcha and double matcha. Lemon blueberry had great flavor but matcha got lost imo (which is weird bc my friend went the day before and said it was perfect, again quality issues). Overall a super vibey place to work or chill with friends at. Pastries are also delicious, I tried their basque cheesecake and longanisa tart and would recommend the cheesecake. The line gets very long on the weekends btw read more
All your matcha drink stop just opened up in the neighborhood! Such a cozy spot. They have all kind of matcha drink combos you can think of. Very earthy! It does come unsweetened so keep in mind when ordering. Also had a few food options. My group loved the longanisa galette. Very crispy and flavorful. We didn't love the creme bruelee donut, thought it wasn't strong enough in flavor. Very exciting to see from farmers market to their own cafe. read more
The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly! She walked me through all their offerings and provided helpful suggestions. I went with the strawberry matcha, almond milk, lightly sweetened with vanilla syrup. Definitely a high quality and matcha forward drink. I should've gotten it a little sweeter though. I was so excited to try this place as a Matcha lover! They specialize in Matcha beverages here, so don't go in expecting to get a vanilla latte! That said, they have such unique Matcha drinks and different housemade syrups. I got the banana bread Matcha! you could tell the matcha was high quality and it was on the stronger side and not very sweet, even with the banana bread syrup. I went early on a Saturday morning and it was very quiet at first, the perfect spot to read my book, but then later in the morning, it really filled up and got busy. read more

I got the Banana bread matcha and Chicken sando. The banana bread matcha was good. Normally I'd think it was outrageous to pay $9 for a matcha but this one was worth it because it was actually green and ceremonial quality. The chicken sando was okay, idk if it was worth $20. Service was nice, ambiance was cute. If you are looking for quality matcha, this is definitely the place to go. read more

I'm so so glad this place finally has a storefront! They are phenomenal and we went on a holiday - there was plenty of seating available and the vibe of the cafe is perfect if you work from home. I ordered the longanisa sandwich, and it has since changed my expectations for breakfast sandwiches. The matcha was so delicious too! Can't wait to come back read more

Probably the strongest matcha lattes I've had in Chicago. I had never had a blueberry matcha before now and really loved it. The line very well goes out the door on weekends from what I could tell so be prepared for that but the wait wasn't too bad actually. Will be returning! read more
