This time there were only about 3 people in front of me on a Sunday around 2 PM, and the drinks were ready in about 9 minutes. They also explained how to drink the sea salt matcha when handing it to us, which was nice. The sea salt double cream matcha (9.5/10) with oat milk, 50% sugar was BUSSIN as usual. I love the nutty flavor, the matcha is earthy without being bitter, and the sweetness level is perfect. The foam is thick, creamy, and honestly what makes this drink so special. It wasn't quite as mind-blowing as my first visit, but it's still one of my favorite matchas in Chicago. The yuzu earl grey match soda (7/10) surprised me. I normally don't order soda drinks, but this was refreshing and easy to drink. It mostly tasted like a yuzu soda with matcha flavor.

Here's a simple and short review: I was passing by and decided to give this place a try. There isn't a lot of seating, but there are small steps where you can sit. The café looks nice and cozy. I tried the strawberry matcha with whole milk and regular sugar, and it tasted really good. Next time, I might try it with the foam as well. I had heard a lot about this new café and that it's usually crowded, but luckily my order was ready in just 5-7 minutes.

Waited about 15-20 minutes in line to order on a Saturday afternoon. Matcha latte - 2/5 had a grassy/seaweed taste, not my preferred flavor profile for matcha. Strawberry matcha latte , 4/5 pretty balanced flavor. Came with a broken piece of the matcha whisk. Lighting is pretty dark in the back of the store and there is very limited seating.

more reviews on Instagram @coffeehonglics ! Matcha latte 7.5/10 strong matcha less sweet is the move if you like it grassy whole milk made it sweeter oat milk made it creamier low key overpriced good matcha overall Yuzu earl grey matcha 8/10 super refreshing not super tangy which is nice perfect sweetness good amount of matcha very green low key overpriced too much ice :( it got watered down good matcha Overall: 7.8/10 When we got there around 2pm, there was a line that wrapped around the corner of the shop. It took about 30 minutes until we were able to go in and order. They let in groups at a time ‍ The inside is super aesthetic and open. Seating is limited since the tables are small- there are two round tables in the back with stools. They sell all kinds of matcha bowls, whisks, matcha powder, etc., placed neatly on the shelves . Not sure if I would study here since it can get pretty crowded, and I forgot to look for outlets! sorry! You order at a kiosk. The drinks were ready pretty quickly. Overall, I would come back again to try their other drinks, but maybe when the hype goes down a little bit- not sure if I would want to wait in line. The drinks were also a little overpriced :( but that seems like every other cafe now :(

This place has some really fun and creative matcha drinks! I am so happy I got mine with strawberry. Everyone there has such a deep appreciation for making matcha the right way. It was really fun to see the line of matcha prep.

Finally was able to try this place. The hours are odd and pretty short but it makes sense with how much work they put into hand whisking all the matchas. They have a whole efficient service line going in front of you. The service was very fast. From standing in light to order and getting my drink was probably around 10mins. The cream part was a bit underwhelming as it mostly just taste like whipped cream. There wasn't much salted flavor or thickness. I would have preferred the a regular strawberry matcha latte on its own. It's a bit expensive for the size and you can't adjust the ice level. But you can adjust sweetness and I think they use 4.5g matcha in each drink and it's very vibrant. The ambiance was good. Not much seating or decor but they had a live DJ.

Before coming here, I would recommend you check their instagram to make sure they didn't run out of matcha. They ran out after we received our drinks and would've been devastated if we were turned down after waiting 45 minutes. Their matcha is amazing. They add 4.5g of matcha per serving. I was not a fan of the strawberry matcha but LOVE the sea salt foam matcha. Match-A has made it to my top 3 favorite Matcha places in Chicago!

My partner and I visit twice in one week! First time we visited was two days after their grand opening and then a few days after that. They were super packed both times! Drinks are about $9 so it's on the pricier side but very worth it! The drinks come out superrrrr green with 4.5g of matcha powder and they are very creamy! They hand-whisk everything to order so it will take a LONG time if they are packed.

I am so happy I came across this matcha spot on Tiktok because I was convinced I wasn't going to find a matcha Iatte I like that wasn't one I make myself -- many matcha shops struggle to get the perfect ratio of a strong enough matcha, that isn't too sweet or too bitter I do think that because I make my own matcha at home with first harvest matcha and high quality A2 milk, it takes a lot to impress me but I actually really enjoyed this sea salt cream matcha latte This shop uses 4.5g of matcha so the matcha is still strong and isn't diluted by the cream top or the milk The line only took about 30 minutes at around 2pm on a Saturday so the wait wasn't too bad -- definitely would come again if I ever come back to visit Chicago

Over all the matcha pretty good. The wait was 15 min to go in so next time i would order ahead so I wouldn't have to wait in the line overall cute space

Minimalist, open, and bright interior. A focused matcha menu. Efficient setup. Friendly people. Strong matcha. Basically all the things I love about a place like this. Bonus: they were playing my favorite Asian YouTube travel vloggers who have truly been to hundreds of matcha shops in Japan, which to me proves they're not one of those fast, overly sweet matcha spots. The only small thing I think could be improved is the cream top. It felt more like whipped cream, and I would have preferred something a little smoother and more pourable. Overall, we'll definitely be back.

Super packed, expected to wait for a little bit. They are pretty efficient and fast pace tho so it's moving fast The seasalt cream and strawberry matcha are so good!!!! The music is amazing, I love their mix playlist.

I ordered the "Sea Salt Matcha Double Cream - Ceremonial-grade matcha (~4.5g) blended with choice of milk (oat and whole) topped with rich double cream and a touch of sea salt". Legit matcha spot that stands above the recent new matcha/tea places. I love the small menu (hope they keep it that way) and so much standing space they can add a few tables in addition to the cool stadium seating. Truly one of the best matcha spots in the city right now. No issues with service and staff were friendly.

There was already a small line of guests with the same idea, but we were able to get on the waitlist. While waiting, we checked out the small coffee shop inside the gallery and browsed the furniture, which helped pass the time. Our wait was about an hour before being escorted to our table in the courtyard. Initially, we were placed at a low coffee table with couch seating. It's a cool lounge style setup, especially for drinks, but not ideal for a meal. It would have been pretty awkward trying to eat comfortably. We asked to be moved and were told that table preferences should be requested when joining the waitlist. Since it was my first time visiting, I wasn't aware of that, and it also wasn't asked by the hostess. Thankfully, they were able to accommodate us and moved us to a table in the wine cellar. The wine cellar had a completely different vibe, dark and moody, compared to the bright, airy courtyard with its beautiful glass ceiling and natural light. We ordered the lobster roll and the RH Burger, both with fries. The food came out fairly quickly and was well-presented. The lobster roll was served on a buttery brioche with just the right amount of seasoning, and the burger was juicy and flavorful. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely visit again.

We also had the crispy artichokes meh. What saved my night was the chicken salad. The crispy bits...amazing all through the salad. So good. Let's talk dessert, the butterscotch crème brûlée so good. Coffee and a port wine.... Good, but where is the cheese board. This place would benefit from real liquor and a desert cheese board. I mean I must believe that RH has a cheese board on offer somewhere. Anyway, nice evening and decent food in a mostly lovely place.

The sheer number of options alone makes this a fantastic spot to take friends, as all the different food and drink needs can be met by the same spot. Also important is how nice this spot is decorated. The look is very clean and modern, yet there are just enough paintings, foliage, and other decor items matched with premium looking seating to give visitors an upscale cafe feeling -- with fast and friendly service, but without high prices. We started with a mocha, a solid, well-balanced drink that wasn't overly sweet and was just perfect. We didn't plan on eating here, but the menu was way too tempting. We ordered the cinnamon roll, and wow. This was insanely good. Most cinnamon rolls in the U.S. feel like sugar-heavy, cinnamon-flavored buns, but this one was light, flavorful, and beautifully made. The irimshik on top really elevated it, subtle, warm, and just sweet enough. Easy 10/10. Next was the cottage cheese pancake, which was also very good. It had a generous amount of cottage cheese stuffed inside, and paired with the sweet irimshik dip, the dish came together really well. 9/10. We then tried the qattama. It was good. flaky, crispy, and reminded me of a paratha. It came with a sour irimshik dip. While each component was good, I felt the qattama would shine more with a gravy-based dish. 7/10. Finally, we ordered the Nan Salma pasta. It's a tarry-based white sauce pasta with a unique flavor profile, and it was genuinely yum. Definitely something different and worth trying.
