Called to schedule a clogged toilet. Was quoted 129.99 to come out and diagnose the clogged toilet (next to the main)...and that the 129.99 would be applied to the bill. I told him that it needed to be snaked and was clogged due to too much toilet paper and what could be the pricing range for that - the phone operator said he had no idea what his company charges- he only takes appointments- and couldn't even give me a ball park. So I wasn't willing to loose 129.99 and get scammed with a bait and switch situation- as I just read other reviews that they came out and pushed and up sell when on the property. Im calling a national company now instead of people who can't even give you a range on pricing. An employee who answers the phone should know rates. read more

Very disappointed. This is an example of someone trying to take advantage of people. I had a gas water heater that wasn't venting because the vent was joined with the furnace and it wasn't letting the water heater vent properly. I got a quote for $8,500 to have them add an additional pipe, I had to find and pay a roofer to add the roof vent, and I would have to pay even more to have the water heater turned back on. It was going to cost me over $10,000 total. Ripoff! I had a brand new, larger capacity heater installed by someone else, he added one with a power vent, didn't need new piping, didn't need additional roofing work. It cost me $2,000. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Unless you like getting ripped off. I contacted Ninja Plumbing to have a garbage disposal replaced in my kitchen. It's a straight forward job with nothing extraordinary or difficult about the work. Their quote was $568 if they provided the new disposal and $317 if I provided it. Both quotes are/were outrageous. When queried about why the cost was so high, my technician Giovanni stated his labor rate is $199 an hour. Glad you can charge that...but I'm not going to pay it. I'd be a fool if I did! I purchased the exact same disposal at Lowe's for $149 and had another plumber install it for $125. Total cost of the project $275 plus a $20 tip for the plumber. DO NOT use this company. There are plenty of reputable companies that aren't grifters or opportunists. read more

Last Sunday (of course), I had my mainline back up. So, like any civilized person would, I jumped on Yelp! After calling around and getting quotes from about 4 other outfits, I came across Ninja Plumber, and I am sooo glad I did!! Not only were they remarkably less expensive (most others were charging DOUBLE because it was a Sunday), but Peter made out to my house within an hour of my call. Nice guy, spent a bit snaking the line, and off he went. BUT, the following day, it had backed up again! What? So, I called them and they sent Peter back out again. Well, come to find out, the back of my house had a clean out as well, so (at no additional charge) he ran the camera to see what was doing, and noticed a blockage that the first snake job missed! Dope! So, long story short, Peter was at my house for nearly 2 hours getting the line cleared at 7pm. He ran the camera at no charge and snaked the line a couple times, from the front and the rear of the house, just to be sure - each time pulling out roots and what looked like wipes - who knows. Peter is a man among boys! He handled more than he needed to, and all this at NO ADDITIONAL charge, as a simple snaking with Ninja does not carry a warranty. I setup an appointment about a week in advance. On the Saturday that they were supposed to show, they cancelled because of an emergency. I re-scheduled for Thursday and they promised it wouldn't happen again. Thursday rolls around, they call and the window is suddenly 3 hours (they promised 1 since they missed the first) and they were an hour behind schedule. 20 minutes before the appointed time frame, got another call....another emergency came up and they only had 1 technician. I had a drain in the ground in my backyard that would always overflow if it rained for more than 2 minutes. With El Nino still possible I didn't want to risk it and finally decided to get it taken care of. I first tried to take care of this myself by buying a snake from Home Depot for $25. I spent 1 hour on this. I got about 20 feet in and then it would just come up with dirt. I was getting nowhere. I called Ninja Plumbers and was told they'd try to snake it first for $89.99 using their professional snake that didn't cost $25, and if that didn't work to use hydro jet for $200-$250. Richard and crew showed up and went to work. Sure enough the snake was not working. Richard put a camera in there and showed me the root obstruction inside. So we went ahead with the hydro jet. After the hydro jet Richard pulled out a long root + 2 hand fulls of rocks. They then saw that another drain was now backing up. They put a camera in there too and hydro jetted that one. And BAM. We have drainage! Total cost: $250. I used the Yelp deal of $100 for $200, and the total cost was $150. More than pleased with this. The guys were here for an hour or so and make sure everything was draining before they left. Fantastic service and great crew. Would definitely recommend. read more

Ariel and his team of technicians and service representatives are all professional, friendly and there to help their customers. We had a drain pipe leak on one of our properties, so naturally we started calling around for quotes on the job. Edgar was very helpful in keeping us informed as to when our technician would be arriving. We ran into a bit of a snafu where another company (who I did not call) showed up to my property claiming to be Ninja but was not actually a part of the team. They quoted me and when I heard from Edgar afterwards saying that our technician was on his way I was confused and thought I had already met with him! Ninja was very quick to remedy the situation and assured me that they would be able to match the quote the other company gave me and even give me a "loyalty" discount for deciding to stay with Ninja for the work. The only downside I would say is that these guys are so busy that it's hard to schedule your problem with them - the timeframes slips a lot and so it's hard to rely on when they'll actually be at the job site. But otherwise, they made up for it in every way. Jamie was our technician that came and quoted us for the work, he was very professional and nice and comped us the quote fee (even though we already knew we'd be going with Ninja for the work which comps it automatically). I was then introduced to Ariel, the owner, who helped me in scheduling the work. The next day when Jamie was supposed to arrive there was an issue with his van and he was unable to make the appointment we had set so Ariel arranged to send me another tech the next day who he promised would be just as professional and would take just as good of care as Jamie. He wasn't wrong! Everybody I encountered with Ninja was amazing and our technician who actually did the work was great as well. We had Richard on the site and the work he completed was great. He completed the job quickly and even tended to some of the surrounding structural issues. After all of that they gave me an even bigger discount because the work ended up being less than they had expected. This company really is about making the customer happy, the $$ isn't important to them so long as they have long standing relationships with their clients.
